Service was great, actually got to meet the manager and talk about all the restaurants he's opened . The pizza slice was large forsure, maybe if your hungry I'd recognize 2 slices. Tvs for entertainment and very good atmosphere.

One of the few financial district places that stays open late. No slices after 7pm, though. Happy hour is good, but only for cheese or pepperoni pizza. All else is $7 a slice. I like the potato pizza, but pizza tastes vary widely. Friendly service.

7$ for the slice. Not bad considering it's like a whole meal. Pretty greasy. Would recommend their happy hour from 4-6, way better prices If youre going for quality there is a place up Sutter called Parrot that has better quality for same price. But the location of his place is really good

Tried this place for the first time and pizzas here are a godsend for my taste. I can taste the ingredients and it has the crispy bottom that doesn't taste like burnt and it's not soggy. Not too much cheese and the caramelized bacon is not oily or fully of sugary sap. Don't take my word for it, come and try it out! Pricing around $5-$6.5 per slice depending on the toppings. Small cozy place.

I haven't had Escape From New York in at least 5 years and this was my first time at this location. The experience did not disappoint. It tasted exactly the way I remembered it. I personally love the pesto and cheese, but my husband said the pepperoni was the best pepperoni he's had in a long time. The prices were affordable, especially the beer and pepperoni slices that were on happy hour.

I ubered all the way here from my hotel to eat before I went to the airport. Online it says open until 1:30 AM. On the door itself it says open until 1 AM. I arrived at 12:25 AM and the doors were locked. The man inside either didn’t see me standing there for 5 minutes or was ignoring me. I had to stand outside on the street for another 10 minutes and wait for a second Uber to arrive - which I took directly to the airport without eating for the night.

Consistent, but consistently just okay -- and consistently overpriced. The location is great, and the store itself is nice. It's usually not crowded when I go, making it a convenient spot to grab a beer while waiting for my order. The overall state of the location is clean, and there's a restroom, which I assume is available for paying customers. The pizza isn't terrible, but it's not great either. For a medium-sized pizza, you'll end up paying $40+ with tip, which feels unreasonable for something that's merely average. I always tip because there are usually only one or two people working in the evening, but the steep prices make it hard to justify coming back regularly.

I was pretty disappointed of the pizza here. I had higher expectations since they brand themselves as New York style pizza. This definitely wasn't New York style pizza. I was expecting thin crispy. It was super doughy. We went here pretty late on a Saturday night around 11:30 so I don't know if that might've affected the quality of the food but since it's open late, I feel like that shouldn't affect it. I'm not sure if I would go back to be honest.

My favorite "Escape From New York" pizza location. It's so large and the workers are super efficient and friendly. My favorite is always the "You Say Potato" slice which is pesto, potatoes, and whole roasted garlic. And I especially like it when it's reheated because the crust gets even more crispy. Today's special was also the bbq chicken pizza, and it was also pretty good. The slices are about $6.50 if you get the special flavors, but considering the size of each slice, it's more than worth it.

Come and get it. $4 per slice of pepperoni and cheese Happy hour 4 pm to 6 pm. It was salty but i love the crust. Never had i have a thin crust that i get a clean bite, and it was crunchy. Some slices I've had to tussle with the bite. Costco comes to mind. You bite and you might get the entire top off the pizza. I've tried their pizza on Haight St but this is my first time on Bush. i ended up getting a pizza slice card and I'm well within my reach for my free slice. It is in an alleyway with great outdoor seating. Yes Barry's exercise place is next door. So is the custard pies.

The pesto potato pizza is the best pizza I've ever had. It's heavy on the roasted garlic, so be ready for that, but it's so worth smelling a little the next day. I moved out of the city about 10 years ago and close proximity to this pizza is one of the things I miss the most

Oddly situated next to Barry's where a choice is made, workout or pizza. I chose pizza! It's not really destination worthy though, but it's cheaper than McDonald's nowadays and tastier. Pepperoni Slice: Stumbled upon a happy hour deal where cheese and pepperoni slices were priced at $3 (including tax) from 4pm-6pm. That's quite a deal! Very filling. Decent. It's no Tony's Slice House, but it's passable. Especially for price and size. Cheese Slice: Perfunctory pizza, also priced at $3 during happy hour. I'd definitely recommend the pepperoni over the plain cheese so you can jazz it up a bit more, since the base pizza is just alright. Though with some sprinkles of red pepper flakes, oregano, garlic and parmesan it's palatable. Once again, it's all about value here, so don't come with international pizza award expectations.

If you're in need of a late night pizza bite, Escape From New York Pizza has your back. They don't do single slices after some point in the night, only whole pies, so works great if you have a few friends to chow down with. Service took a bit long especially considering we were the only patrons that hour in time, but totally understandable if they were making things fresh!

I had initially ordered delivery via Uber Eats for my office. We had ordered a total of 7 large pizzas and two salad trays. As I awaited confirmation of my order being picked up or on the way, I received a call from the owner, Adam, telling me that Uber was sending Uber delivery people with bikes and how they were being difficult. He then offers to personally deliver my order straight to my office. We accepted as this was very thoughtful and so very appreciated. I had corresponded with Uber to figure out how to go about this transaction, as the delivery person should not be compensated, since Adam delivered the order to us. In which the delivery person tried to lie and say he was on the way with our order. Showing photo proofs that Adam had already brought us our order, Uber refunded us for the trouble and the delivery person may have been banned for breaching guidelines. We called Adam to let him know we were planning on going in store to pay in person, and he confirmed that Uber still compensated them. Adam, our office wants to thank you immensely for your amazing care, service and food. Thank you for the tasty pizzas and salads! It was a hit and we can't wait to order from you again!

Albeit pricey the slice I enjoyed was very good and rather filling. I'd recommend this as a quick stop and shop place for a slice. Nothing that blew me away, but the pizza slice was very enjoyable and staff were chill and professional. Ambiance is just okay, but it's a pizza shop not a restaurant so it works for the area.

Really good pizza here. I love their happy hour pizza slice prices. The younger female with the dark hair who works later on in the day is really nice. She displays get customer service skills, which is rare these days.

Baby & me came in after spending the day in SF. We came in around midnight.. just wanted to get a couple slices. Igs after a certain time.. they don't do slices only whole pies. So we got half n half. Half pepperoni, half potato pizza. My boyfriend definitely hyped this place up.. but I wasn't impressed. Maybe because the time we came in.. I'm sure during day.. the pizza is better. I'll still come back to try & recommend.

Service was awesome and the pizza was delicious. They were able to make a 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 cheese pizza and the pizza they have with the potato was awesome.

My fave pizza in SF! I was in town for a comedy show and knew I had to grab a pie before going back to the South Bay. I usually go to a different location but I found out it's only open when there are events next door so I came here. It was around 9pm when I arrived and it was mildly busy, mostly to go orders. The guy who helped me was really nice. We ordered a large mushroom and sausage pizza to go. I thought the size felt more like an XL which was great! Their pizza is delicious, love the sauce. The sauce has a little bit of a kick to it so if you're not into spicy you might find it a smidge spicy but not overpowering. I wish I got a photo of the pizza but I was just too hangry hah Recommend their pizza! Delish!

In a neighbourhood where any lunch is at least 12 dollars, this place is a breath of fresh air. A slice of Pepperoni is about $6. Some favourite's include: BIG MEAT COMBO Red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mozzarella, red onions MISS FIGGY Olive oil and garlic base, arugula, applewood smoked bacon, figs, mozzarella, topped with goat cheese and balsamic reduction. HAWAIIAN Red sauce, Canadian bacon, pineapple, mozzarella PEPPERONI GF (M)30.20 - Red sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella Medium pies range from $30 to $37. And after you have had your pizza there is a small pop up used book store across the lane which has an amazing selection of books If you are in downtown SF for a meeting drop by for a slice of pizza and a book.

Best tasting pizza I have ever had. My wife and I went here on a vacation and ended up buying a whole pie because their slices were limited. Let me make this clear....we were NOT looking to devour a pizza. The reason they don't get 5 stars is because they close too early for my preference, and their individual slices are less than fresh and limited as far as toppings go. If you go here, the best experience is a take out pizza that is a FULL pizza, and NOT a personal slice or 2. By the way, that full pizza---I think it was 10 slices---was destroyed....mostly by me. My wife had 3. Effin great pizza you guys. I wish SoCal had a place like this.

Yo I could see why these guys had to escape New York lol. All the unseasoned tech bros in FiDi must be gassing this place up to be charging $32 for a cheese pizza. I took a bite and needed this pizza to escape my mouth. Get you a digiorno instead.

Friendly guy who works here! He's always polite and take time to respond to you question. Pizza wise the pizza is great and tasty! It's better if you order fresh pies or wait for fresh pies to buy slices. They have same menu as haight location. Taste wise and quality wise I think Haight is slightly better in taste department and overall rating of the pie, although I prefer the haight location its nice to have this as it's closer to where I live and stays open later.

We went in at 12! The guy was super friendly place was clean! Pizza was delicious the sausage was in slices not grounded up! Had a great flavor. Was so excited to be able to go in so late and have such a welcoming experience! Def be back

Great experience from beginning to end. Called in to ask a few questions and Mike answered the phone extremely friendly and informative. Placed the order and it showed up to my hotel exactly an hour later, just like the website quoted (there's even a tracker to know when it leaves the shop). Walked down to the lobby and it was Mike! All smiles, Mike handed me my order and thanked me for choosing them. Top-tier service! He even included the parmesan, pepper, and plates I completely forgot to ask for. The pizza is pricey but worth every penny! VERY generous with the toppings. I went with the build -your-own and it did NOT disappoint. I got a large, and while I could have gone medium, Im looking forward to the leftovers Customer service: 10/10 Quality: 10/10 (it was delicious) Value: 10/10 Will definitely be ordering again!

This is one of the few late night joints in the city. Its almost become my go-to at the end of a long night of bar hopping with the gang. Unfortunately, there is no slice options during late nights - you'll have to buy a whole pizza. Food : The Pesto pizza here is really delish. This cheese heavy pizza is all you want for your late night cravings. The Big meat combo was decent, I am not a fan of having too many toppings on my pizza and usually just opt for pepperoni in meat options but I decided to give it a try. I won't be getting this again though. Staff : The chef and the waiters here are extremely friendly and always seem to be so cheerful even so late in the night. Ambience : It's not a very huge place - there might be 5 tables worth of space here. You need to order at the counter and its self service. They have a TV playing sports here in case you want to catch a game. Value for money : It is a little on the expensive side and so you will catch me going here only during late nights when the options are very limited.

One of my favorite places to get giant slices of cheese pizza. They use 18" pizza pans at escape, so their pizza slices are bigger than a lot of places. Lots of cheese and great sauce. The pizza bread is slightly charred, crunchy, and chewy because they probably take the pan off a few minutes before done to toast the bottom of the pie. Carefully timed or it will become a burnt pie. I like their other pizzas too, but cheese, cheese and mushrooms and pepperoni are my favorite.

Its a nice idea and they have interesting non traditional options, but this place falls short for this Brooklyn native. I don't know if the dough wasn't fresh or just overworked, but the slice I had was chewy and "doughy" and It sat in my tummy for hours. For $7 a slice I was expecting better

Walked up in here round 1am. Can't say they seemed super happy to see us because they were an hour from close but they weren't noticeably upset either. The group working in there really appeared to care how the business did so the customer service was still good. I can't blame them. I don't make it a habit of going to spots and hour before closing because I know how it is. However, we were out dranking and this spot was walking distance from where we were at and we all wanted pizza. I wasn't expecting much in regards to food at this time but man I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was damn GOOD, and the wings were some of the best I've had from a pizza spot ever. I wish they were closer to where I'm staying because I would definitely frequent this spot and show up much earlier .

I just ordered 6 slices. They got all of them right but one. I only wanted one pepperoni but they gave me two. The missing one was supposed to be their special which was over a dollar more expensive. The guy who took our order seems like he hates his job and didn't want to take my order. We gave him a tip to try and make his day a little better. The place was packed, a little crowded but very energetic . The fact that they always get part of my order wrong is why they get two stars. The food is great but when they get my order wrong, they always give me a cheaper pizza

Pizza is a 5/5. The rude blonde lady made me lose my appetite to be completely honest. Please learn how to speak to customers and have some respect. The guy with the baseball cap really made me feel better but tbh I don't really want to even eat the pizza after being spoke to as an inconvenience from the blonde worker.

Strange...Haight street bars are pretty racist and when I have private conversations with coworkers about CRT and Woke? Haight Street bartenders won't have it. But Escape from New York Pizza? last was not a discussion about race, the dude at the cash register said he is not serving and there was no racial discussions, politics...nothing. So weird but the dude said I refuse to serve you? weird.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Should have known that it was going to be when the warriors had just finished their game and not a soul was in the restaurant. Whoever they have working with the long beard was awful! So awful we left without our food because the service was that bad. Would never recommend to anyone traveling or local. Save your money and go anywhere else but here!

Came here because it was open late and close to my hotel. The pizza was really good and the staff was friendly. The pizza was prepared within 20 mins. Definitely try it if you're in the area!

I definitely recommend we get a lot of Pizza from here now at work and I love the selections. The Margherita is good. One of my favorites is the Meatball Pizza it is awesome. And the companies go to favorite is the New York Pesto Chicken Pizza. I've also tried the The Gourmet Pizza with the large artichokes. Just convince your company to cater from here so you can try everything on the menu.

Excellent by-the-slice pizza. Huge slices, perfectly crispy thin bottom crust, with a crispy chewy edge. If you see the Loaded Baked Potato as a chef's special, get it! So good!

These pizzas were a so good! Especially Miss Figgy, who thought putting digs in pizza will elevate the game. The veggie pizza was okayy compared to the other one. I just wished they had sun dried tomatoes added to the mixed veggies instead.. but all their pizzas are super natural and no artificial ingredients! Too notch and I don't even like pizzas!

Roland is the best! The location on bush and haight are both awesome. I love the fig pizza with goat cheese. They have beer on tap, and chill vibes! Great service as well!

I mean comon, I understand it's not a good move to come to places 30min before closing but emergency situations require emergency action, but wth... Would've tipped fat too, just update your hours depending on what you actually want and I'll give you a better rating. Otherwise; no. Can't recommend.

Yummy little spot! Good for a cheap lunch. The pizza slices are huge and reasonably priced. We got the potato pizza which had huge chunks of garlic- so good.

We ordered two pizzas for a team lunch at work today, one pepperoni pizza and one cheese pizza. Both were delicious. The pepperoni pizza was tasty with the saltiness from the pepperoni and the richness from the cheese. The texture of the crust kinda reminded me of the texture of ciabatta bread, and it wasn't a bad thing, I just wanted to point that out. The cheese pizza was pretty delicious too. I really appreciated the fact that they put it a generous amount of sauce on their cheese pizza, which was important to me; otherwise, I would be just eating basically bread. The sauce was flavorful and a bit more on a salty side, and it went really well with the cheese. Again, both pizzas were delicious and I really enjoyed them. My only suggestion for improvement would be that I wish they cut the pizzas more equally and symmetric, so we could get a more consistent size of the slices.

I would rate this place five stars because they have bomb pizza and a bomb happy hour special. However, there is one server who is usually there when I get my pizza on weekday afternoons who makes my experience coming in there, unpleasant every time. Reading the other reviews, it seems like everyone is experiencing the same problem with her as I do she is extremely dismissive, does not wanna be there at all. I had brought my boss in there a couple days ago to have a one on one meeting, and we could barely hear each other over her EXTREMELY loud conversation, she was having with a guest. Every other sever is kind and friendly though...

"All the flavor half the attitude" WHAT A RUDE SLOGAN! Whoever came up with the bright idea to use that as a slogan, and print it on the boxes should be ashamed of themselves. Have you ever even been to a New York pizza shop? I was born and raised in New York and none of my favorite pizza shops in New York have employees with attitude. Not to mention, their pizza has 100000 times the flavor of this pizza. Based on how the pizza tasted I'd say your new slogan should be "no flavor because it's made with attitude". This was the FURTHEST thing from New York pizza I've ever had in San Francisco. Just shameful, and as a New Yorker I'm offended by your stupid slogan. Never ordering from here ever again. The pizza was good, but the cashier was awful. No hello and she looked like she didn't want to be there. It's such an unwelcoming experience that I rather eat somewhere else. Only words she spoke was you have to press the tip screen to pay.

They are lifesavers and the pizza is delicious!!!! I had a corporate meeting where we ordered chipotle and they canceled last minute. Eric stepped in and saved our meeting with many delicious pizzas in the nick of time! Thank you and forever grateful!!

The food is incredible. I am a huge pizza snob. I was very skeptical of this place, but after trying it, they truly make the best pizza in the Bay Area. You have to try it. Whatever place you think is better...it's not. There is so much flavor in the pizza and the ingredients are fresh and high quality. The staff is friendly and professional. Highly recommend this place to everyone. The food is amazing and does not disappoint! I always order a large pepperoni pizza.
