We came to the airport early just so we could check out the new lounge. The lounge is located near gate A5 so once you get through security, go right and it’s almost to the end of the terminal. We got in for free using my Priority Pass membership which includes yourself and a guest. It wasn’t too crowded but they had a great layout with a variety of seating options. The atmosphere was very calm and every staff member was very friendly and provided excellent service. We grabbed seats by the window and fixed a small plate of food. The food selection was great - various hot and cold options plus a section for coffee. There was one bar in the middle of the lounge that offered a wide assortment of drinks. Near the back of the lounge there were a couple private rooms that were glassed off - I’m assuming they’d be perfect for business travelers needing to conduct some business while flying. Overall this was a great visit and we’ll make a point to stop by every time we fly out.

the food was very good not your typical lounge food and the service was even better! Jardell was readily available to serve us and take care of us the whole time we were there even though it was crowded he made us feel like we were the only people there

Only had a few minutes in here but simple yet modern lounge with an open layout. Hot and cold food choices, self serve coffee and desserts. Wish I had more time but great space. A little bit of a distance from B gates but a little more walking isn’t bad.

Long overdue priority pass and Amex loungeMCI. All inclusive drinks and small buffet, generally attentive service, lots of seating though the layout can feel a bit crowded walking around.

Third time visiting ESCAPE Lounge at KCI and it’s been consistently great. The lounge is bright, modern, and comfortable with plenty of seating—tables, booths, a full bar, and even small conference rooms. They also have a quieter section away from the food area, which I’ve used on a past visit and really appreciated. Service is the standout here. Staff greet you warmly, keep drinks coming, clear tables quickly, and refresh the buffet often. Even the manager was bussing tables on my last visit, which says a lot about the standard they set. Food selection is better than most Priority Pass lounges. This visit, I had Italian meatballs with jasmine rice (a fun little fusion plate), my mom enjoyed a fresh sandwich, and my vegetarian dad was happy with the salads and sweets. Other options included charcuterie, roasted veggies, baked potato soup, and pastries. Drinks include a full-service bar plus self-serve coffee and water, though the coffee could be stronger. Overall, ESCAPE is a great pre-flight stop. Between the friendly staff, bright design, and solid food, it feels like a treat before flying. Every visit I’ve left feeling like a first-class traveler, even when I’m not.

Most reviews are by people who are likely not familiar with how good a lounge can be. Escape Bradley, CT or Bristol UK is 5 star. Kansas City is 3 star. If you fly Delta, their lounge at MCI is better. MCI is small so this escape lounge is small. They even have a wall of mirrors here I've witnessed several people walk into, it's actually comedy. The staff are amazing, food quality is good, variety is limited. Bathroom clean with baby changing station in men's room, often out of toilet paper. Variety of chairs are nice. More than expected crowd inside. They close the better half of the lounge at 1900 to start cleaning (odd...). Would steer my reservations to Delta if you fly delta, larger lounge, better lounge, less crowded, more options. Escape only has one sit toilet in men's room means you wait... Coffee machine not operational at 3 times in Last 3 visits (when I couldn't fly delta), not for the whole time but if we're comparing to 5 star, this is wanting. Temperature control here is very comfortable and well managed.

I had an incredible experience at this lounge. They were so friendly and the customer service is top notch. They came over to our table to get our drink orders, the food is delicious and it’s very clean. I highly recommend stopping here!
