"This semi-hidden beach sprawls over the stretch of coastline where PCH meets Escondido Road. Not quite as crowded as the more spacious beaches in the area, Escondido is the perfect size and vibe for mellow sunbathing or strolling with the family. Parking can get tricky, so its best to park along PCH, and access the beach through a public stairway west of Geoffrey’s. Keep in mind, no dogs allowed."

Beyond Malibu's iconic beaches, it's always a joy to photograph lovely out-of-state couples who choose California as the backdrop for their "I dos." It's an honor to capture their special moments on the beautiful beaches of my home state.

Beautiful beach. Not to busy and amazing sunset views. I met a man here who was having one of the last nights on the beach with his dog, bc the dog was very sick. Such a beautiful thing of him to take his dog to this beach one last time.

This is a private beach with limited access to public who don’t own a property on this area. Managed to get a glance with a few connections and this place is beautiful! Open and empty, amazing water and views. Wish this nature was shared with everybody !!!!

Beautiful small beach ⛱ just the parking is a problem. A security guy from a private area told me that I can park on the PCH so I did but I got a $58 ticket. So I don't know if is in there another way to find a parking, other than that we my dogs we had a beautiful day.

Beautiful beach! I went on the weekend on a beautiful day, and it wasn't overcrowded or dirty at all. Lots of access points, and in a great location near food and entertainment in Malibu!

Nice beach, it was totally empty, a real private beach. Found in Central Malibu.

Interest small beach nestled in a gap between home on north and south making me wonder how the homes got to be built over public property. However, they create the small beach which has a romance vs beaches that sprawl for more than eye can see.

Yelp
Escondido Beach is a small beach located in Malibu. It's a lesser known beach and is semi-hidden mainly because it was only recently opened to the public due to an agreement with the landowners in the area. In fact, the word escondido means "hidden" in Spanish. It's located just south of Geoffrey's restaurant and there is coastal access from the sides of the restaurant to the beach. Parking can be limited if you're not parking on PCH or doing valet at Geoffrey's. Because it's secluded, it wasn't as packed and there were barely any people when we stopped by. It was very peaceful to watch the waves and walk on the sand. If you're eating at Geoffrey's make sure to stop by to get a glimpse of this once-hidden beach.
