The 16 Best Restaurants in Laval, Quebec | Eater Montreal
"The downtown Mexican restaurant’s first off-island location brings its much-loved al pastor, baja cod, and crispy cauliflower tacos to Chomedey. The rest of its fusion menu (think cornbread and Mexican General Tso’s chicken ) and large tequila list also made the jump." - Erinn Blicher
Where to Eat and Drink Around the Bell Centre | Eater Montreal
"Tidy downtown taco-maker Escondite added this second location just steps away from the Bell Centre back in 2017. With an eclectic interior and a mix of classics (al pastor, tinga) and new creations (Korean steak ‘n’ cactus tacos), it hits the sweet spot of being sleek, without pocket-burning prices. Open until 10 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and until 11 p.m. Thursday to Saturday — it will also reportedly open Mondays when shows or matches are on at the Bell Centre, but it’s best to call ahead to confirm." - Tim Forster
Really enjoyed the classic margaritas, guac, cornbread and shrimp tacos! 🌮 The cauliflower tacos were a little underwhelming, but they still went down fine. Amazing mural and so much colour in their decor. Friendly, funny staff too. 🙌

Went for brunch, the place was quiet. The food was delicious, portion sizes for the price could be better. Cocktails were very nice, recommended.

Dinner for 2, the experience x2, with 2 cocktails and 1 jarritos soda. With taxes and tip $175... looking back and doing the calculation we were charged for the churros when we were told it was included in the experience.
5 of 6 tapas were great... the porc tacos the porc seemed mushy and not a desired texture, similar to the cod tacos the final course before desert.
Churros were thick and short therefore creating undercooked batter in the middle. Dipping sauce was thick Nutella consistency so almost undippable. Thinner and longer churros would guarantee the inside is cooked properly. A more liquidity dippable sauce would be desirable.
Friendly service and nice atmosphere but at these prices it will be difficult to want to return regardless how tasty and nice the experience is.

Verdun is the best place to visit in the summer and this beautiful place is one of the upsides on Wellington street. The atmosphere is great, also the service and the food. I love that their menu is not just traditional regular Mexican food, but they add originality and uniqueness to it, like matcha cream? Or some Japanese style on another options. You can see that is a beautiful and unique place.

This restaurant offers authentic Mexican food, though the portions are small and more suited as snacks. While the focus is on drinks, the atmosphere is pleasant. It would benefit from adding some homemade chili sauces. Overall, it's not expensive.

Wonderful experience at Escondite Wellington. We were greeted warmly as we entered and the staff were very friendly and profesional with us. The food was amazing and the tacos were huge! I’m really satisfied with our experience as a group of 9, we were accommodated nicely. Thank you again to the staff and 5/5 would recommend.
