The 16 Best Restaurants in Laval, Quebec | Eater Montreal

"The downtown Mexican restaurant’s first off-island location brings its much-loved al pastor, baja cod, and crispy cauliflower tacos to Chomedey. The rest of its fusion menu (think cornbread and Mexican General Tso’s chicken ) and large tequila list also made the jump." - Erinn Blicher

Where to Eat and Drink Around the Bell Centre | Eater Montreal

"Tidy downtown taco-maker Escondite added this second location just steps away from the Bell Centre back in 2017. With an eclectic interior and a mix of classics (al pastor, tinga) and new creations (Korean steak ‘n’ cactus tacos), it hits the sweet spot of being sleek, without pocket-burning prices. Open until 10 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and until 11 p.m. Thursday to Saturday — it will also reportedly open Mondays when shows or matches are on at the Bell Centre, but it’s best to call ahead to confirm." - Tim Forster

We went for my brother in laws birthday and food was delicious. Food was served quickly once ordered. Staff was friendly and offered tailor orders for us and were patient with the younger kids in our group. The food and drinks are on the expensive side, however the experience was worth it. Wish portions were a tad bigger. Only negative point.

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was unpleasant from the start, and nothing was clearly explained. We were shocked to discover that a “sharable plate” actually meant paying $45 each — nearly $100 in total — for just a few tacos, four shrimp, some guacamole with chips, one beer, and one cup of cheap wine. When it came time to pay, the staff member looked at us like we were crazy, which was extremely disrespectful. For the price and the service, this place is simply not worth it. We do not recommend it and will definitely never return

Very fast service, although the waiters made a mix up on the group orders (but was quickly fixed). They did a lil show for the birthday girl so 10/10 entertainment. 😭

Pretty good taco restaurant. Ordered tacos Al Pastor. It comes with two tacos which is not enough for a meal. So I had to order 2 portions to get 4 tacos. So the portions are small, and it can get pretty expensive. The tacos and one Diet Coke came out to ~38$ (before tip). The tacos were very tasty and enjoyable. Service was a little slow but everyone was very nice. The atmosphere on the terrace on Wellington street was fantastic. All things considered, solid Mexican restaurant.

Really enjoyed the classic margaritas, guac, cornbread and shrimp tacos! 🌮 The cauliflower tacos were a little underwhelming, but they still went down fine. Amazing mural and so much colour in their decor. Friendly, funny staff too. 🙌

Just meh. Guacamole was alright. Totopos were overly oily. Felt a bit ill eating em Black bean “soup” was just a bowl of lightly blended black beans with shredded tortilla chips on em and crumbled cheese. It truly did not taste like anything else had been done to it Music was quite loud. Servers were nice but it was very overstimulating in there. Overall utterly forgettable

Went for brunch, the place was quiet. The food was delicious, portion sizes for the price could be better. Cocktails were very nice, recommended.

Pleasantly surprised by the delicious tasting menu. Food and service was phenomenal, the waiter Jose was very nice and every time he came by with the following dish he would brighten up the experience by striking a pleasant conversation. Cannot recommend this place enough, can't wait to go back!
