Amazing food- really delicious, thoughtfully prepared persian cuisine made with high quality ingredients. The stellar food is complimented by exceptional customer service. I ordered one of the shabbat boxes- shabbat box one- advertised to feed 1-2 individuals for $89 including free delivery in manhattan. The number of dishes and portion sizes received was more than enough for 4-6 well balanced meals. Where to begin? KOUBIDEH, JOOJEH SAFFRON CHICKEN, ROAST ONIONS- I wish you could smell How amazing this meat smelled and tasted! The roasted onions were amazing as well. EGGPLANT CARPACCIO- incredible- just look at the photos- the garlic is amazing as well- honestly my favorite dish of the whole day, I called dibs on the leftovers! WHITE RICE & CHERRY RICE- more than enough rice for 6 meals! KALE CEASER SALAD- very fresh and tasty SHIRAZI SALAD- high quality produce TAHDIG- sooo divine HUMMUS- this hummus is SO flavorful with amazing garlic, zhoug, and crushed tomato CHALLAH - also not listed- but added on complimentary sauces and a generous portion of pickles and olives! Order was delivered exactly on time and communication was easy, the employee I spoke to was professional and prompt. I cannot recommend Eshel more highly, I look forward to dining in person to try their lunch specials and other specialties!

The portions were so large and the dishes delicious. The staff so sweet and tried to be helpful but they sometimes did not think of everything. For example resetting the table with silverware in advance of our mains arriving. The food comes from downstairs so they need larger trays to be able to carry the food efficiently without the first batch of food getting cold. The tables are perhaps too close together. The restaurant was not full and yet we were placed right between two occupied tables that were no more than 8 inches from ours. The older members of our group were not keen on the noisy techno music but the younger ones were fine with the repetitive loud beat. All these issues are possibly just teething problems as the restaurant is relatively new. The menu was varied and quite original and many of the dishes were just perfect so it deserves praise for this alone.

What a fantastic restaurant . It's a bit noisy and truth be told , I'd rather sit outside than be part of every other conversation -- BUT that didn't take away from the amazing tasting food they had. The chicken Kabab was SO good. The eggplant dish for apps was amazing. The drinks were fabulous. A must return and certainly a reasonable price for a nice kosher restaurant

I ordered a Tahdig with stew through Uber Eats, and it was amazing 😋! The Persian food was really high quality. The Tahdig came perfectly shaped, with half topped with Ghormeh Sabzi and the other half with Gheimeh. Absolutely delicious — I would definitely order again!

The koobideh and barg were excellent—tender, full of flavor, and cooked exactly right. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and nothing felt rushed or overdone. Just really solid execution on two classic dishes that are often phoned in elsewhere. Dessert was just as strong. The baklava was crisp and balanced—not drenched in syrup like some places do—and the Persian-style tiramisu was a surprise hit. Light, not too sweet, with just the right touch of saffron and spice. The space feels cool without trying too hard, and the staff couldn’t have been more generous or welcoming. There’s real hospitality here—not just good service, but people who care that you’re having a good experience. If you’re looking for something Persian in Manhattan that actually feels fresh and different, this is it. I’ll definitely be back.

Eshel Restaurant, located on the Upper West Side, is an excellent spot for those looking for a comfortable, well-decorated, family-friendly atmosphere with good service. The food is delicious, and the portions are generous.

We had a great experience at this restaurant! The portions were really generous — you definitely won’t leave hungry. The food was delicious and felt freshly made. The interior is beautifully designed, cozy and modern at the same time, which made the whole atmosphere really pleasant. On top of that, the service was excellent — super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to!

We had high hopes going here. The place looked high end and the ambiance was pleasing. Authentic Persian food sounded amazing. But I have to believe most of these reviews are either 1) not real; 2) from employees; or 3) from people who have never eating Persian food before. The actual food was both overpriced and underwhelming. Kabobs were flavorless and at $40, we felt ripped off. Tabouli was all bulgar wheat and almost no parsley or taste, and the rice tasted like air and nothing. They charged us $10 for a bottle of water which we did not order...very sneaky. Was asked how our meal was and we were honest that it had been sub par and disapponting. Received a shoulder shrug and then they dropped the $200 on the table. We left unhappy, still hungry, and felt ripped off. This is the kind of place you try once and probably won't go back again.

Wow wow hands down for this restaurant the food is so good, service is great, owner is very nice and welcoming just bring your own kosher wine till they get their license. Finally, a great and delicious Persian Restaurant opened in New York City. Thank you
