SF’S Best Pre-Theatre Dining | Eater SF

"There’s no closer option on this list than Corridor, the new American comfort food restaurant from the owners of Trestle, which offers counter service speed at the full service experience. Here’s how it works: You walk in, order at the counter (everything on the menu is priced under $22), and then head to a table, where from there on out the experience is like normal table service, down to ordering more drinks or dishes if you’d like and paying the bill. After which you’re off on your way, just a few blocks down the street." - Ellen Fort

26 of the Best Counter Service Spots in San Francisco | Eater SF

"Corridor, Mid-Market’s newest addition, is a counter-service all day until dinner. The menu, created by chef Jason Halverson (Trestle, Stones Throw) runs the gamut from soups and salads to a kill croissant egg sandwich, falafel croquettes, and savory, pull-apart monkey bread. There’s also a list of approachable beer, wine, and cocktails, plus LA’s LAMILL coffee is featured." - Caleb Pershan

A nice little spot with a great view over the city and a nice little slide

Cute metal slide here. Very quaint little park below Bernal Heights Park, which is accessible by some stairs. Slide is metal and tall, but not as tall as Seward's cement slides. Also, it's a straight slide with a small bump. No curves.

An amazing little hidden feature of San Francisco's Mission neighborhood - great for kids, solitary walks, and dates. A pretty long straight set of slides right in the middle of the neighborhood. Walking up the west face of Bernal Hill - a block of Esmeralda street has slides instead of pavement! There are stairs too. And it's more than a block. There area few adjacent mini-playgrounds and viewing areas. The slopes also have some amazing plants - be careful not to disturb them. Local residents must have taken great care to create and maintain this hillside garden. The stairs lead all the way to the road which goes to the summit of Bernal Hill, one of the seven main hills of SF. Bernal is the one by Safeway on 30th and Mission. There's a radio tower and also a swing on top.

The slides are a neat little secret. But the people living in the surrounding neighborhood are uptight, privileged ignorant, judgmental predominantly white and disgusted by anyone appearing to not belong or own wealth in any way. Smh

If you're looking for San Francisco local hidden slides this is one. Joggers slide down them for a little fun for adult and children alike. Look for more as they're hidden along these paths.

Terrific pocket park with an excellent slide. Bring some cardboard and enjoy the views.
