All-Day Café Péché Just Opened on St-Denis | Eater Montreal

"I note that Espace Thomas is a boutique fitness studio housed in a converted church building next door to the café; the two adjoining buildings are connected internally by a door so patrons can easily move between a workout and Péché. Nguyen designed Péché as an indulgent counterpart to Espace Thomas and plans coffeeshop discounts for gym members to encourage patronage at both spots." - Audrey Carleton

Best church building conversion! You can even see the Mont Real from the yoga area! The saunas are great, they have also 2 hot baths on the roof and a cold plunge. Wow.

Went for a trial a few weeks ago, and had a great time. Everything worked and was clean. Now to what confused me for the last two days, I wanted to get a yearly subscription and so I read some of the reviews and I’m absolutely baffled by the spiteful and unprofessional responses by whoever is managing this account. I know as a business owner myself, there is a professional way to deal with customers who are wrong so other customers don’t feel bad when they come across it. But the responses are just insults and attacks, even if the customer is wrong. Would this now happen to me too if I bring up that something is broken? I mean the complaints are almost all identical. I stand by my 4 star review, I want to be honest since I didn’t have anything personal to complaint about. I liked the place from the atmosphere but it doesn’t make me feel good giving someone money who is picking up on so many fights when this is a place where I am supposed to go to get away from stress. Very sad. Ps I used my birth name for the trial

Convenient location but hard to justify the membership price. Management is not pleasant to interact with if you ever need to (which is the main reason I cancelled my subscription after over a year)

It's a real shame. This place could truly be excellent - honestly, to have a gym and a spa in such a beautiful building with rooftop access on a very passing and accessible street, I dare even say that the premium membership could totally be worth it... but then, there's the customer service, and that ruins everything. The people who work there are not only completely useless at solving issues, they often make and repeat the same mistakes and have the worst attitude towards clients. You have an issue? Something broke? We'll, "that's not my problem" is essentially what they'll tell you, and then nothing is done. The hair drier broke, and the weather is getting colder, but no one there gives a damn. For 200$ a month, the minimum you would expect is them at least showing minimum respect towards their members. Whoever is managing this places seriously needs to fire a few people right away, or perhaps have a hard-stare at the mirror - because this will threaten this entire business, and as I said, it would be a shame to lose such a unique location. But then, someone else might something better out of it - who knows? P.S. I'll adjust my 2-star rating if actions are being taken by the administration. In reponse to what the owner wrote: I knew they were going to investigate me personally like the freaks they are and dismiss what I said instead of actually addressing the issues I'm highlighting - this is the perfect exemplification of the toxic attitude I was alluding to. My review was based on the feedback of several acquaintances who have been members recently. I'm trying to protect my community from abusive business practices, so beware, everyone. Downgrading to 1-star because of this poor response.

Great place for a workout and hitting the sauna after. The gym and spa facilities are clean, well-equipped and designed well. I actually have a membership here in addition to my crossfit gym and I find it very worth it.

Really nice gym. Calm and very friendly staff. It has a good mix of free weights and cardio equipment.

Overall spa amenities are nice. The outdoor hot tubs are really pretty and the massages were relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful (initially). HOWEVER – BEWARE OF FALSE ADVERTISING AND PRICING CHANGES. Within a group of four, everyone was being charged different amounts with “spa entry fees” that were never disclosed upon entry or before booking the appointment. If you’re going to charge a new fee, advertise it. Don’t suddenly try to add almost $30+ in extra fees per person at checkout, then acknowledge in person that it would be unfair to charge the customer after a price increase that was never disclosed, only to later threaten via email to charge a credit card on file for fees that were never advertised and were promised to be removed. Definitely a sour way to end the experience.

Love the big windows and architecture. Lots of machines are placed everywhere making the space small….. Front desk ppl are very nice and helpful. Roof top hot tubs are great !!

Yelp
Great price for a massage and it includes the thermal experience. Limited number of people for each room due to Covid but very relaxing atmosphere

Yelp
Would strongly recommend avoiding this gym: -Poor customer Service -Noise travels easily to the spa area. - Extremely disorganized management
