I got traditional meat ravioli with pesto sauce, it was kinda heavy on salt for me and could have more spices beside Salt. Very good and fast customer service, they were all welcoming and smiling. The parking might be hard to find, just street parking is available. My friends, Please bring your own cup for drink, they offer plastic cups which is not environmental friendly , thanks 🙏.

Best sandwich spot in San Mateo, possibly the whole peninsula! The food is amazing and it’s always a great experience going here. Got pastrami is the way to go. The only place I’ve been where the pastrami was even close to a New York level. Love it here and small businesses like this. Also the staff is amazing and always so happy and helpful.

Some of the best sandwiches ever. Gabe's gourmet on Dutch Crunch is my go to favorite. I love that they have pasta, salads, meatloaf and more available too. Everything is superb. The best is they are Family owned and super friendly.

Esposto's is a really good Deli. They have great salads, and wide variety of sandwich options. They also have BBQs on Wednesdays & Thursday. However, they are mildly on the expensive side given that it's essentially a sandwich shop and not a sit-down restaurant. It's not an expensive place, it's just slightly highly priced given the category it is in. Do try it out if you are in the neighborhood and are looking for a quick bite. PS ~ The staff is just awesome!

Hate to say it but this was extremely bland food as far as the sandwiches! Seemed clean and fresh, but two of us got sandwiches and both felt there was no flavor whatsoever. If you want a kind of clean fresh sandwhich and dont care too much about the flavor give it a go. Not that it tasted bad but i just couldnt taste anything! Oh well to each their own.

5/5 Really a hole in the wall restaurant. I've lived in San Mateo for over a decade but never found this place until recently. This place has great value for how much you pay. Their ingredients are very fresh.

After waiting in 0-person queue for about a minute, in front of the deli case, sandwich preparer, looked up and asked if anyone had helped me yet. duhhh!? Time of visit was Friday, 112015 @ approximately 1415. No customers around. Joint empty. I ordered the Valentino ($8.75) with dutch crunch bread. After another minute, preparer announced they were out of provolone cheese. I had her pick an alternate cheese. Sandwich was puny, came with no side dish and lacked any flavor. Additionally, I detected refrigeration odors coming from the sandwich. This means different food aromas were blending affecting the taste of the sandwich. Not good. I ordered a side dish of something containing potatoes tasting like cold, oily hash browns. I took a couple of forkfuls leaving the rest. Not a tasty lunch. Not a savory lunch. Venue is in San Mateo, near Jack's. Tab or cheque came to $11.05 (no drink) cold iced water not offered either. Hey, Esposto's, "When do we eat?" First & last time for me. Pickles is better; Safeway, too.
