Go check out Espresso Self coffee shop in Desert Hot Springs, Ca. It was my 1st time trying this coffee shop and I got the lavender matcha with oat milk and lavender form. I enjoyed how lightly sweet it is and the organic lavender flavor! It was just the pick me up I was looking for. The young lady that made my drink said that the lavender syrup is made in house 🙌🏾 and she suggested that I try strawberry matcha next! Looking forward to going back.

Had this shop surprise me on the drink, based off of my likes. Paired it with a strawberry muffin. Absolutely amazing on both. Would definitely return. Nice atmosphere and very friendly. Good bang for the buck.

This has & always will be my go-to place to just be.. The atmosphere is so relaxing here! As a ftm, I only really go to the grocery store lol. My favorite coffee shop in the entire valley! Small and intimate and never ceases to amazing me with their awesome service, drinks, and friendly atmosphere and staff! Been coming here since they opened and haven’t stopped since. 10/10 would recommend! 💙

First time here and will definitely be coming back. This is my first time stepping into Expresso Self coffee house, I was greeted by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee that never fails to awaken my senses. The cozy ambiance wrapped around me like a warm hug, making it the perfect spot to unwind or catch up with friends. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive, ready with a smile and a recommendation, which makes this first visit feel like coming home. When I sat down they even brought me my coffee and with a smile! Thank you to the crew working this morning.

This was my first visit to Espresso Self, the gentleman taking our order was nice and patient with us. He and another person were taking orders and making drinks. Espresso Self is a small, nice, and clean shop. We ordered a small vanilla latte with oatmilk and a large mocha with oatmilk. It was pretty busy in the morning, and it felt like there was hardly any wait. Very efficient! I'm sure we will return!

If you want a good local coffee spot, look no more! The prices are good and the staff is awesome and helpful in making your decision on what you get! We will be going here again when we are in desert hot springs!

Just stopped by Espresso Self for the first time and I'm really glad I did. The coffee was excellent--smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with care. They also have a great selection beyond just coffee, including some fun drinks and unique specials you don't find everywhere. Even better, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It had a really positive, relaxed vibe that made me feel comfortable right away. Definitely planning to come back--great first impression and totally worth the visit!

Very good customer service. Cool atmosphere, didn't personally love the iced Americano black 4/5. I believe they did darker roast to cut which they would typically cut with milk for their drinks. However, still a good experience and would go back

Wonderful locally owned business! They have an extensive menu, there is something for everyone! We enjoyed both their Matcha as well as their coffee. Service was very friendly and welcoming, they have a bit of indoor seating and plenty of easy parking. I always love supporting local businesses as hard-working as these, great option if you're looking for a pick me up in the area!

The only independent game in town for espresso drinks - thank goodness it's a good one! A tiny shop, with a line out the door often as not in the mornings, and for good reason: the coffee is excellent, poured with care and served at the proper temperatures, with Monin flavors and delicious options. Service is neighborly and cheerful, brisk and efficient. The vibe is local, friendly, and chill. There is a cold case offering random things, some sodas and cakes, and grocery items that make little sense and don't look very tasty. Need half a pound of mejool dates with your latte? Me either. Plastic-wrapped mushy-looking cakes and $4 one-bite cake pops in wasteful plastic containers aren't tempting, either. So: the food program needs help. But they have the rest dialed in very well, and I recommend this place whole-heartedly if you're in the area!

Friendly and cozy spot for your coffee caffeine needs in the Desert Hot Springs area. Their latte was perfectly sweetened. Americano was flavorful. A treat to have nearby if you're chilling around the spas in town. They have a cash discount too :)

I've been coming here for a while now. I must say that the staff is extremely friendly. The shop is cute, small and very clean. I like it so much that I no longer go to Starbucks and I even got some of my family members to start coming here as well.

The most welcoming coffee shop in DHS. The staff are always smiling and ready to take your order. Small establishment very modern has various snacks and treats to accompany your coffee. Beats sitting in Starbucks line that's for sure. TRY THIS ONE If you haven't your cheating yourself go on in and customize your drink and Espresso Self.

My wife introduced me to this spot and I'm so glad she did! I've been searching for a coffee place that could match the flavor and vibe of Avenue back in Washington, and this is the first one that truly delivered. The coffee is rich, smooth, and exactly what I've been missing. The staff was incredibly friendly and respectful, which made the experience even better. As a photographer, I just had to take a beautiful picture of the coffee--it looked just as good as it tasted. If you're a coffee addict like me, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend!

Pretty cool little spot. I got the caramel macchiato and one of their homemade peanut butter cookie that was really good. I wanted to try a different place than the big chains and this spot was it. This will be my go-to spot whenever I'm in town.

Super cute little coffee shop. I'm excited to have somewhere local to get my coffee now! It's always nice to support small, independent businesses. I got a medium, hot, vanilla latte with soy milk. It was yummy and the service was great.

Loved it here! Staying at a hotel close by and needed REAL coffee. I noticed the side of the building said "coffee" when we drove into town, so I knew where to find them on the map before coming in. The barista is super friendly - just good vibes all around. My mom tried the dark chocolate salted mocha drink and loved it. I had an iced breve latte and enjoyed it as well. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're nearby. Quality coffee!

Took my wife and she is hooked I highly recommend it and we will be back tomorrow to try out the tres leche cake with a coffee in the morning

I am addicted. A friend brought me here and I had the mocha/raspberry cappuccino on ice made with almond milk. It was so good and flavorful. The next time I went I had them blend the ice to make a Frappuccino . Even better. Now finding excuses on why I need my chocolate/raspberry fix. They are helpful and work at accommodating what you would like. The place is small with no restroom facilities . The staff is friendly and helpful. For gluten free as far as the food no to few options. For dairy free there is almond and oat milk options.

Service was great. Quality of coffee could improve! Why do their drinks taste exactly like coffee mate creamers. If I'm paying to get coffee outside of my home I'm expecting a drink I can't make at home. They can get good quality syrups or it's even better when coffee shops make their own. Also got a strawberry lemonade for my son. Made him nauseous cause it's TOO SWEET. Too sweet for a nine year old?This was the second time I've been and have been disappointed. I thought I would give them a second chance.

This little gem was recommended by coworkers and I wasn't disappointed! To start off, customer service is excellent. Staff are cheerful and extremely helpful for those of us that are indecisive at times. I of particularly appreciated the variety of sugar free options and milks. So thank you so much for the diversity. I will definitely be back.

Came to DHS to visit family so I'm unfamiliar with the area & I love trying coffee shops everywhere I go. My catch is tho I will only try it if iced coffee is on the menu! I am not a fan of latte's bc I don't like milk bases and cold brew is cool but doesn't have the same bitter-taste that I look for in iced coffee's lol. The lady who took my order, I forgot to ask for her name I'm so sorry! But she was so kind & great with chat as well as the baristas who brought out our drinks were so kind! Now, drink rate. I got a medium butter pecan iced coffee, half sweet, with a splash of half & half, and it was sooooo bomb! The iced coffee has a perfect balance of bitterness to it along with subtle added sweetness to it! Highly recommend to try this place out, super chill inside, amazing coffee, and I would def come back whenever I visit family again ((:

The service at Espresso Self was efficient and the employees were all so friendly and welcoming. The drink menu is impressive with so many options and combos. I got the iced matcha latte with oat milk. It was delicious and refreshing. What surprised me was how big the cups were. Their small size would be considered a medium anywhere else. So you get your money's worth here and more.

We stopped here before work. We both had a Cafe Americanos. We also ordered a Lavender Latte with Oat Milk. They have a lovely menu and strong coffee. The service and coffee is exceptional. Support your local businesses!

I read about this place in an article. Great backstory. I live in Desert Hot Springs and it's a pleasure to support local businesses. The service was great, all female staff on a Saturday morning. I ordered a Cortado. Very delish! Very nice vibe inside. I'd definitely go back. It's nice to have an alternative to Starbucks. Thanks for uplifting the community

Visited this small coffee shop during a visit to the desert. It was so close to our airbnb so that was convenient. Ordered an iced caramel latte and although it didn't taste like caramel, I enjoyed it. The lovely lady helping me was very sweet and welcoming! It's a cute spot with decent seating!

The Barista, Stephanie, was friendly, and the coffee was very delicious. I ordered the iced Americano, and it was very strong! This is the perfect alternative to big coffee chains. It's a warm, friendly atmosphere, and the staff makes you feel at home.

Felt groggy all day. Needed some good strong coffee. One of the highly recommended drink was the shaken espresso. Goodness it was bitter, but within minutes my alertness improved and after half a cup later felt awaken. The flavor grew on me and I would like to try their other drinks soon. The shop is small, but provides a decent amount of drinks and snacks. It won't be my last time coming here.

Great drinks and really friendly people. My coworkers wanted to get me a gift card there for my birthday... they didn't have any yet, so they worked with them to give me a credit system... till gift cards arrived and they got me all hooked up on my last visit.

The Customer Service is amazing, for such a small space it's really lively and has such a modern rustic feel to the space. And don't get me started on the coffee. Everything on the menu is so good in both taste and the look is definitely Instagram worthy for all those Coffeenistas. Some of my favorites are the Danny boy with a CBD shot, Oreo with a protein scoop or the chai latte with oat milk and cinnamon

They have amazing drinks and Customer service. Love the owners energy! Would come again.

I really wanted to love this place, they are friendly and welcoming but the 2 drinks we got were not good at all. We got a Chai latte, tasted like watered down cinnamon milk and we got a "mudwater" drink, just spicy, no flavor, watered down.

Was introduced to this little coffee shop by my friend and honestly, I've been addicted since then! Love the staff and how kind they are. Has a really cute feel to the place and is simple but cozy. The drinks are delicious! I love the Sandra Dee and strawberry matcha which are my go-to drinks these days when I go. Already thinking what to try next and can't wait to come back!

Best Coffee Shop ! We have tried many coffee shops in both the Palm Springs and Joshua Tree area and Espresso Self is our favorite spot. :) The baristas are always friendly and it's obvious to see that they care about their craft. My husband and I really enjoy coming here , and highly recommend this cafe for those who appreciate a finely brewed beverage. P.S. Say "yes" , if they offer you whipped cream.

This place was close to where we were staying which was nice, my friends and i went and its a cute little shop they sell cute tiny things like stickers and candies! I ordered a caramel white mocha blended drink, it was pretty tasty, my only thing was that it was already pretty melty by the time i received it, although it does make sense because it was so hot out and the inside was pretty warm also! But overall this place was cute and good, i would go again!

I get my go to which is mocha latte and it is like perfect and I so appreciate that you all are instead of that other spot.

Awesome place to get coffee (or coffee-free drinks), the strawberry vanilla bean frappuchino is really good. They also sell freeze dried candies and pastries. Everyone is very nice, and it's so awesome to have a spot like this in the city.

My friend and I tried Espresso Self for the first time today. The staff asked me many questions in order to make my pumpkin spice latte just the way I wanted it. Turned out delicious. Thank you for caring to make it right! We'll be back.

Decided to try this new coffee shop out and the staff was so sweet! I got the matcha with some vanilla syrup and I really liked that it wasn't overly sweet. Their prices aren't too bad considering their sizing. The vegan chocolate chip cookies were also toddler approved. This is definitely a great alternative for starbucks. We will be coming here more often!

It's a cute little shop but I went in about 8 minutes before they closed to order a frappe but it tasted really watered down and it was already half melted by the time I noticed. I tried calling but they were closed, I DO NOT recommend coming here

Stopped by yesterday for the first time with my sister. We got the Peppermint Patty Espresso and a tasty treat that took me back to high school days... a Dave's buttermilk bar!! This is such a great new addition to Desert Hot Springs and we will definitely be back. We paid just about $10 out the door for two drinks and two of the bars, so very fair priced and DELICIOUS!! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and customer service was great the entire visit. Was a great vibe from start to finish! Safe to say we will be back.

Great staff and great coffee that actually smells and tastes like high quality coffee. Makes you wonder what toxic bullshit they serve at the chains. Best in the Desert award coming right up!!!!

Great Coffee, Super cool and friendly staff. If you're looking to skip the line at Starbucks and possibly get a better drink this is the spot! They have nice seating area inside and lots of snacks to choose from.

A great find in this area. I had an Oatmilk Lavender it was amazing! The coffee had a great flavor. Love the beans! Get there early, it was packed!
