The Best Restaurants in and Around Yellowstone National Park | Eater

"Located a stone’s throw from the northwest entrance to Yellowstone National Park, this tiny coffee cabin is a morning staple for many park-goers. A simple setup with a simple menu, this takeout-only window offers a bevy of pick-me-ups, from coffee and Americanos to caramel macchiatos and chai tea. For snacks, there are thick wedges of banana bread, bagels, and jammy huckleberry bars with buttery crumble topping. Later in the day, they introduce ice cream and milkshakes in Yellowstone-appropriate flavors like huckleberry, Moose Tracks (vanilla ice cream with peanut butter cups and chocolate fudge), and Montana Moose Moss (mint ice cream with chocolate swirls and Peppermint Patties)." - Matt Kirouac

The BEST customer service and some of the most refreshing drinks. A great variety of drinks and the staff always willing to help recommend some choices. Perfect spot for a quick pick-me-up coming to or from the park. Went here AT LEAST once a day our trip!

BEST ICE CREAM and it’s SO cheap. $7 you get 3 of the biggest, fattest scoops and it’s delicious. Only food place here that doesn’t bleed you dry

Their ice cream was amazing. Ordered a single scoop huckleberry cone and it came out like a three scoop cone. The flavor was absolutely wonderful. Going again tonight.

Everything was great! We went back every day and tried almost every coffee - they were all delicious. The huckleberry cheesecake ice cream is insane. Service is amazing too. Absolutely recommend!

I got a bagel & an iced huckleberry coffee. The bagel was super chewy, tasted more like it had been steamed than toasted, for $9.50 it’s not really what I had hoped for. I know you’re paying “Yellowstone tax” but I’m sure there are better options… McDonald’s would’ve even been better. The coffee was just awful, I ended up throwing it away... Overall it wasn’t a great stop.

Highly recommending this cafe, the service is very prompt and good. Most importantly, the price of ice cream is reasonable priced and tasted so good! Especially the local huckleberry ice cream shouldn’t be missed. The bagel is also tasty too. We enjoyed our tea break here. Would love to visit again. 😃👍🏻

Fun little place to get your morning coffee. I really wanted to try huckleberry ice cream so we ordered an affagato with 2 espresso shots. It was really good. We enjoyed their breakfast sandwich as well.

Don’t know how these guys are still in business. if There’s a line of customers keep going. It will take you 30 minutes to get a cup of coffee. With having experience in the coffee industry, you would typically stack some orders. Take a few orders while the barista is making the ones ahead of the customers. They will take your money, make the entire line weight, make your entire order, and then once your order is served, they will move onto the next customer. They do not have a productive workflow and if you’re trying to get somewhere, you will Wait, unnecessarily. Their point of sale system is Square which offers Workflow systems but clearly they’ve never taken advantage of it.
