Esprit Saint Germain

We stayed again at Hôtel Esprit Saint-Germain this fall, and it was our most enjoyable visit to date. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, calm, and genuinely welcoming. More on that arrival welcome shortly.||||The hotel itself is undeniably lovely. The public rooms are comfortable and inviting—the kind of spaces where you naturally want to sit for a while rather than rush out the door. We were especially grateful for the lounge, made even more inviting by holiday decorations and a Christmas tree, as an overnight flight had us arriving nearly six hours before check-in time. It was handled without hesitation or fuss.||||The location in Saint-Germain-des-Prés remains our favorite part of the city: central, walkable, and full of character without ever feeling hectic.||||We have stayed in several room categories over time, and on this visit our Executive Room—one of a kind at Esprit Saint-Germain—was impeccably clean, quiet, and extremely comfortable. Breakfast is a pleasure rather than an obligation, and the availability of all-day snacks and an early evening complimentary drink adds to the feeling that guests are genuinely being looked after. It truly feels like a home away from home.||||On a previous stay, we were in The Apartment, which is a real treat. We stayed there on our final two nights this time, which proved especially helpful when friends from London joined us for dinner, allowing us to host them for a few hours as though we were at home. Priceless.||||What truly distinguishes Esprit Saint-Germain, though, is the staff. Their warmth and good cheer feel sincere and effortless, and every interaction—no matter how small—makes the day a little better. It’s that consistent care and attention that transforms an already excellent hotel into a memorable one.||||We left already looking forward to our next visit.

This was my second time at the Hotel Esprit Saint Germain, which is a beautiful hotel where the space is used efficiently to have everything you need in a beautiful setting. This hotel is in such a lovely area on a quiet side street surrounded by lovely little shops and good restaurants and cafes. But to by honest I would stay here no matter where it was located because it's such a fantastic experience. The staff is welcoming and can help you arrange anything you might need. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the breakfast and afternoon / evening access to beverages and snacks makes you feel welcome at any hour. I can't imagine choosing anywhere else in Paris to stay and recommend it to anyone I know is headed to Paris for a night or a week or more. It's immaculately clean and well appointed. There are a range of rooms at different price points to give you options for many budgets. There is lovely seating to gather with anyone you are traveling with - either by a nice fire or at the tables in the breakfast room which are comfortable and available all day. The hot chocolate in the lobby in the afternoons and evenings are a hit as it rained the entire time we were there this trip - but no worries because they also had umbrellas to loan. Don't hesitate to choose this absolute gem of a hotel.

5 stars for all! Beautiful hotel in the best part of Saint Germaine. We loved the breakfast every morning and then the cocktail hr which started at 2pm-2am. Room a bit small but that’s Paris. We did stay in their one bedroom apt our last night and it was amazing. The staff is incredible and nothing short of perfect! Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

The people who work in this hotel are as beautiful as their surroundings. We had a wonderful week at Esprit Saint Germain. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, the breakfast buffet is extraordinary and the fireplace in the lounge is a fabulous place to be at the end of a winter's day exploring Paris. But it is the staff who really make it a beautiful experience. In particular, the concierge who helped us get tickets to Paris attractions that we couldn't get online and our waiter who greeted us for breakfast each day with a big smile, a fabulous coffee and enormous patience for my terrible French. The friendly welcome every time we walked in the front door made us feel at home. I really value the personal service we received and would highly recommend the Esprit Saint Germain. Thank you to the whole team for an amazing week full of wonderful memories.

I have been to many hotels in Paris and by far the Esprit Saint Germain is one of the best. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting... a true home away from home. With welcoming staff and accommodations, this hotel has thought of everything. It's non-pretentious, relaxed, high touch service is a truly unique gem and worth multiple visits. Boutique hotel, where every room feels like you are on the club floor. The surrounding neighborhood is full of shops and restaurants. Easy walk or short transportation to most sites in Paris. Truly a special place!!

This hotel is FABULOUS!! I felt like I was in a local Parsian home. The sitting areas are so cozy with fireplaces and small intimate places for coffee or cocktails. The breakfast room is beautiful. We absolutely loved our suite with two bathrooms - one of the most spacious rooms in Paris! We will be back - Hotel Esprit Saint Germain is a very special place.

We just returned home to the US from a four night couples trip at this beautiful boutique hotel in Saint Germain. The staff was friendly, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. It’s a perfect spot in our favorite Paris neighborhood. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and happy hour each day. We highly recommend for anyone planning to visit Paris.

We had a lovely time at this hotel and found it perfectly adequate for our needs. However, I can only give it 3 stars because there's a significant gap between how the property markets itself and what it actually delivers.|The hotel advertises as a 5-star property, but having stayed at genuine 5-star establishments around the world—including in Paris and other major cities—I can confidently say this does not meet that standard.|Where it falls short:||Staff, while friendly, lack the training and polish expected at an actual 5-star property|Accommodations are nice but not exceptional|Room amenities—linens, towels, and toiletries—are more consistent with a 3-star hotel, not even reaching 4-star quality||The bottom line: This would actually be an excellent hotel if it positioned and priced itself appropriately. As a well-run 3-star property (possibly 4-star with service improvements), it would exceed expectations. As a self-proclaimed 5-star hotel, it disappoints by comparison to true luxury properties.|I'd recommend this hotel to travelers seeking comfortable accommodations—don't expect the five-star experience you're paying for.

If you're on the fence about booking here - DO IT! I wanted to try a boutique hotel when in Paris for a few nights in August and this exceeded my expectations. First, the location is unbeatable. Super quiet street, with restaurants, cafes, shopping, and the Saint Sulpice cathedral all within steps. The Seine, Louvre, Notre Dame all just a few minutes walk away. The extra touches and hospitality is something you will not get at the major brand hotels - champagne or coffee when you arrive, free drinks every afternoon/evening, free snacks and coffee all day, amazing breakfast in the mornings, and all drinks/snacks in the room included. Staff is SO nice and I saw they were super accommodating and friendly for parents with small children which is nice. Rooms were sizable for Paris, and AC worked great. Bath products were Diptyque. They have a private sauna as well that you can reserve but we didn't end up trying it.

Keep in mind this is not USA so yes it's small and a little tight compared to larger usa type rooms , but its a cool Nice boutique , cozy, very well maintained room and lobby. Nicely stocked lobby / common area ( coffee , books , fireplace . Close walking distance to nice Restaurants !

An oasis in Paris for tired travelers. Felt as welcomed guests from the Champaign on arrival, through the helpful suggestions on where to eat, metro, and even a car and driver for the airport. There is a reason so many people commend the service and accommodations. The are delivered gracefully, without prétention Simple done very well. Comfortable bed, good strong shower, excellent breakfast, even people willing to not laugh at my horrible French language skills. (I believe everyone there speaks English) Will stay here whenever we return to Paris - if we can get in.

We had a very pleasant stay here at Esprit Saint Germain. The location was amazing and the staff were all super nice. Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a great hotel in Paris. The front desk helped so much with helping us find where to take our PCR test for our travels.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful well thought out hotel. The staff were terrific, amenities plentiful and everything felt just right. Perfect location, too.

I stayed at Esprit St Germain for a birthday trip to Paris with my daughter. The minute we walked in we felt at home. From the fireplace in the intimate lobby to warm up after a day of walking in the cold to the helpful concierge who always pointed out how to get to where we wanted to the waitress who remembered how we wanted our eggs in the morning everyone was intent on making our stay a unique experience. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The street where it is located is an easy walk to trendy shops and art galleries as well as popular bistros and even a supermarket where we could buy fruit and chocolates to take home. The Luxembourg Gardens are walking distance and we spent a glorious cold and sunny Sunday afternoon there watching miniature boats racing on the lake. Our stay at the Esprit Saint Germain and our four days in Paris this November will remain in our hearts forever.

The boyfriend and I so enjoyed out stay here! We decided to take a week in November off for a late year vacation and really looked forward to 8 days in Paris. Paris has so much to enjoy and we knew we wouldn't be disappointed, but this hotel truly made the trip all the more enjoyable!! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Open bar in the lounge off the lobby. Tasty breakfast each morning with cheese, baguette, croissants, and eggs made to order. Room was quite a good size for Paris and had a beautiful shower/bath. New flat screen with DVD player and free wifi throughout the building. The sparkle led lights on the ceiling were romantic (once we figured out which switched turned the off and on lol). SECRET BONUS? The sauna, spa, gym room upstairs which you can reserve for private use. There is a main room with an elliptical and an ipod dock for music. Off of this room is one room with 2 person sauna and shower, another room with a 2 person steam room. All that you can reserve just for you (it requires a special key from the front desk to get in). Only wished we had realized how wonderful it was before our last night!! All in all - if you can afford the George V be my guest, but I loved this place and it was very reasonablly priced for being a 5 star hotel in Paris in once of the cutest neightborhoods. Of note: I generally find mysefl underwhelmed by the restuarant recommendations from hotels. They usually seem to be places that cater to tourists. NOT SO with their recommendations. They suggested, and made reservations for us, at Boucherie Roulière just one block over. IT WAS AWESOME! Clearly a local favorite - and quite unassuming from the street. Inside was so cozy and the food was fantastic. So glad the hotel recommended them!

Such a memorable experience! This hotel was referred to us from someone who travels to Paris a lot and I can see why. The staff is extremely friendly and everything is so well thought out. I'll recommend it every time!

I stayed here a few summers ago. Small elegant boutique hotel just steps away from St. Suplice Cathedral. The staff was very attentive, courteous and caring. Treated me the whole week in such a friendly and professional manner that I was sad to leave. The room was small but impeccably designed with the coolest touches everywhere. The ceiling has fiber optic twinkly lights on a dimmer that make you feel like you're sleeping under the stars. The top floor has an cozy spa that I had all to myself. Next to the lobby is a gorgeous lounge room with sofas and bookshelves filled with DVD movies that you can borrow and take to your room. Each room has a DVD player and small flat screen TV. The lounge also has complimentary bottled beverages on ice for whenever you get thirsty. After check-out I mistakenly left a drawing behind. I was already in the next country when the hotel contacted me to alert me that I left it and they took the time to package it up and take it to Fed Ex for me and ship it to the States. I can't say enough about this amazing boutique hotel. Well worth the money. I think I paid approx $300 a night which may seem high but this hotel is class all the way.

The staff is not very friendly, horrible fitness room that is for one person at a time and not 5 star service. Do not know how it gets this rating.
