We had an amazing evening at this restaurant, with highly motivated and approachable staff who showed great flexibility. The experience combined food elements we hadn’t encountered elsewhere executed in excellence - from the thoughtfully curated music to the fascinating ambiance of the room itself. Simply perfect.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The place is located inside BMW welt building and the food and the service quality was top. There are two menus i) 8 courses food menu and ii) 8 courses wine menu where the guests are allowed to choose 5 - 8 of them with varying pricing. We went with food menu + ordered a bottle of wine omitting the wine tasting. It is quite pricey. Definitely sth to check prior to the reservation.

We had a six course tasting dinner here. The food generally tasted great, and it was elegantly presented. However, there were a few dishes that felt odd: the ham in the truffle "special" was very salty and felt out of place under a ton of spinach foam. The dish with scallops was nice, but for some reason there was scoop of fish tartar hiding in the middle — and that tasted significantly more of fish and the sea than the rest of the dish. I enjoyed the wines a lot, but the house cocktail was a (presumably very good) German sparkling wine (Sekt) with a splash of thyme and berry syrup: that didn't do anything good for the wine and it ended up looking like something you would serve as a kid's party. Im sure the syrup was homemade and excellent on its own, but I had expected something more for the "house" cocktail. We were served by a flurry of polite and friendly waiters. I would have liked them to explain the dishes more slowly (they did so when we asked). The six courses were too much for both of us (especially with all the small surprise dishes served in-between). Next time we'll go for five and I'll probably go for the vegetarian menu instead to see what the kitchen can do in this direction.

Well, what can I say — been to a few fine dining restaurants all over the world, and EssZimmer completely lives up to the expectations: presentation, creativity, of course the taste (or rather The Taste). 8-course menu is excellent, but we were too full by the end if it. So size up your abilities accordingly :)

First of all the staff is super friendly and professional. The interior is modern and stylish and the atmosphere is very comfortable. They even offer an chauffeur service after the dining. The sommelier did a great job advising us and the wine was very tasty. You get a lot of greetings from the kitchen and they all were delicious. We took 7 courses and they were super flavourful and it’s a dream when you’re able to experience so many different fitting flavours combined on one plate. But I have to say I find the single courses remarkable small. 👉🏻All in all you have to keep in mind that this is a luxury restaurant which is really expensive But if you cut that out the dishes are extraordinary and super tasty.

2 Michelin Star cuisine at perfection. For foodies here some facts what makes it special. They offer 2 menue versions and you can also change courses between them. They also offer an alcohol-free wine pairing and a BMW 7 Series shuttle service (free of charge). Service is very professional and friendly. I can only recommend.

I have known Bobby Brauer for many years now and he is still that creative captain of the ship Esszimmer . He is unarguably the best in Europe for the sauces he makes and also the balance he achieves for every single dish . They have maintained the Michelin 2 stars for the last 7 years and still one of the best places you can have a meal in Munich . I was also fortunate to work with him for a couple of months and I owe a lot to him for all what I learnt .

Inside the BMW Welt, this must be one of the prettiest restaurants in Munich. From your seats, you can see the exposition on the outside, and you can have a peek in the kitchen and see how they diligently prepare the tasting menus. Speaking of menus, this restaurant gives you a lot of flexibility. You can pick one of the two menus, choose the number of dishes and even swap some for the ones in the other menu. In the end, you can really select all that you want to try. We really enjoyed everything that they brought to us. I quite enjoyed the carabinero, as well as the duck inside an onion. The short rib was super tasty as well. The flavors were all around strong and quite enjoyable. The wine menu is pretty comprehensive, they have a ton of stuff from many different places. Service was really good, one of the best I've seen in Germany in fact. Price is ..., well you know, it's a two star in the heart of Munich, so it is what you would expect. Worth for a special occasion, though
