Estancia La Bandada (San Miguel del Monte, Buenos Aires) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The countryside around Buenos Aires is dotted with traditional estancias, or ranches, many of which, like Estancia La Bandada, have been converted to hotels. This hacienda-like boutique hotel sits at the heart of a working farm; you’ll see grazing horses from your seat at the generously laid communal breakfast table. Ride one around the grounds, if you please, or relax by a pool shaded with huge old trees. This low-key getaway radiates rustic charm, from the sunny patio where afternoon tea is served to the quiet guest rooms with original wood-beamed ceilings and paintings by the artist owner. Family-style dinners are built around local produce — if you’re lucky, you’ll get to experience a classic Argentine barbecue." - Tablet Hotels

Without a doubt we picked the perfect place to start our South American adventure. From the warmest of welcomes on arrival from Grace and her team to the most beautiful of settings we couldn’t have asked for more. The meals were well presented and delicious with great vegetarian options. Our room was spacious and nothing was too much trouble to ensure a relaxed and comfortable stay. Highlights among many were horse riding, bird watching and enjoying the elegant pool. We arrived as guests but departed as friends and we couldn’t recommend more highly.

We stayed two nights at La Bandada in November and it was fantastic. Our family of 4 stayed in the house that's separate from the main hotel, and it was very comfortable and private. My teenage daughter who has stayed with us in lots of 5 star hotels, said it was her favorite place we've ever stayed. ||You never really know how a facility will be when you book online from far away, and as we got closer, I got a little worried that it would be too rustic or more like glamping than a hotel, but that wasn't the case. It felt luxurious and comfortable, and the service was excellent. ||I'm not sure about the other rooms, but the house has an air conditioner, and it works pretty well. The only thing is that the primary bedroom is on the other side of the house so it takes a while to cool down. The second bedroom and living room cool easily, though. ||The food is fantastic. We loved every meal and enjoyed getting to chat with other guests. We loved that there were activities we could join or skip, depending on how we felt. ||A couple of tips - you may want to bring some snacks if you like to eat between meals. Breakfast is at 8:30 a.m., and if you're coming from the west, you may wake up extra early and want a little something. ||If you stay in the house, you may want to bring flashlights. The walk back after dinner is super dark, but it's short.

Grace and her team are truly one of a kind. If you are fortunate enough to have the chance to stay here, please do, you will be grateful you did. I have never encountered an establishment that has exceeded my expectations with such sincerity and warmth. The grounds are breathtaking, but it is the people who make this place extraordinary. The staff consistently go above and beyond, not out of obligation, but out of genuine care. Grace, in particular, touched my heart. She helped me plan a special social event and poured so much thought, patience, and kindness into every detail. Her support meant more to me than she will ever know. This is a place I will carry with me long after I leave, and I know I will return again.

Grace understands service. She and her team executed flawlessly. Everything - I mean everything - was done well. Highly recommend. Stunning without the pretension. That’s difficult to achieve. It’s the type of hotel and venue I love.

I'm not sure what more we could have asked for. The place was a welcomed respite from the city. Our family (two kids 7 and 10) had a fantastic time doing not very much. From the walks through the sprawling property, to the enormous quantities of food made by their spectacular and accommodating (to kids palates) chef Sergio, or maybe the ubiquity of fireplaces keeping us and the place warm in winter; it was a great time. You make your own days here, so bring a few books and some imagination, and you'll be glad you did. Thanks so much for a wonderful few days.

Highly highly recommend!! we were on the fence about visiting so we only did a field day, but left wishing we could stay the whole weekend! The property is serene and beautiful, and the food was absolutely incredible. Grace and the rest of the team were very helpful and friendly. It is a MUST for anyone visiting BA.

Extremely warm and gracious host, manager, and staff. Comfortable spacious rooms. Delicious and plentiful food. Beautiful grounds. Can stroll, take a jog, take a bike ride, a gentle horse ride, bird watch, look at the stars, enjoy the (unheated) pool, rest in indoor and outdoor seating areas. Very quiet and low key. They were very nice w our kid. Would definitely recommend.

Such a lovely place, exactly the right way to end a wonderful trip to Argentina. The staff are exceptional, super attentive, welcoming and really make this place special. Horse riding experience and food were the highlights. It’s the perfect place to unwind and relax, but there’s also plenty of activities if you’re not the type of person who can sit still for too long!! Highly recommend to anyone travelling to Argentina!
