So far it seems like you can't go wrong with Ester's. Everything I've tried is either really good or just plain amazing. Today I decided on their seasonal pizzas (1/2 and 1/2 for the win!). Since spring is in the air, half of that pizza was the O'Sullivan, which was a Reuben inspired pizza. I like a good Reuben, but the thought of that on a pizza just didn't do anything for me. But that thought is now far in the past. This was probably one of the best pizzas I've ever tried. The crust, albeit slightly burnt, was both crispy and chewy. The flavors of the corned beef, sauerkraut, and Reuben sauce were perfectly balanced so that no one flavor overpowered another. It was so good, that we honestly might have a problem here. I want more and I want it today. Bravo Ester's! I selected the Gotta Jibboo as my second half, and that had a cilantro pesto, adobo chicken, poblano peppers, and chipotle cream. Another excellent choice that possessed a slight heat, but in the best of ways. Finally, sometimes one just has to adult and eat their greens. However, my choice to adult was actually a tasty experience. I ordered a half order of the Winter Kale Salad, and the serving size was quite impressive. Now I'm normally a savory type of gal, but this salad was on point! It had texture from the crunchy almonds, fresh apples, and pops of pomegranate seeds; the pomegranate Vinaigrette was sweet and tangy, but not overpowering, and the Gorgonzola just brought it all together. This salad was great! Oh, and service was great too. I am so happy that Ester's is close to home. What a win!
