The 29 Best Restaurants In The Hamptons 2024

"A tiny cottage-esque restaurant on Route 114 between Sag Harbor and Bridgehampton, Estia’s is our go-to brunch spot. Breakfast burritos, any of the egg platters, and the tortilla soup are all good bets. They also regularly have great specials, like a homey pozole verde or sweet corn and shrimp enchiladas drenched in salsa verde and avocado sauce. There’s ample outdoor space as well, picnic benches and a stretch of green lawn, and soccer balls to borrow if you’re waiting for a table or takeout. " - melissa kravitz hoeffner, team infatuation

Google
Great for vegetarians and vegans. It was really good. It’s tiny inside. This is like a great quality Mexican inspired diner. I will totally go again. It’s fast paced inside, and they are on it. I had one of the best vegetarian meals I’ve had in a long time. They do a lot of take out orders, I might do that next time because they are very busy and I don’t want to be rushed to finish my meal.

Google
Even though this restaurant is very small the food was awesome. We went for brunch and even though it was a little bit of a wait (25 mins) it was well worth it. There was a large variety on the menu and the food did not disappoint. Beautiful atmosphere and there are outdoor tables available but the day we went it was just too darn hot. So we waited to sit inside. The food was fresh and plentiful. The staff was very friendly and even though there was a wait they never seemed to rush anyone.

Google
We got two different variations of the breakfast burrito. One came with potatoes, one with fruit salad. Both were delicious!

Google
Authentic homemade Latin inspired cuisine. Best lunch spot in the Hamptons without question. Courteous service, great service and awesome food.

Amazing food, large portions. I had the Montcristo. Sandwich

Google
Stopped in for breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised. The Traditional Mexican fare was delicious! Service was fast and friendly!

Google
It is a good place for comfort food and has a nice outdoor seating area but the breakfast prices were a little much for what I got. The breakfast burrito tasted good but $19+ might seem a bit much for something I could have gotten maybe at a bagel shop. Overall nice indoor and outdoor seating good for comfort food but you will be paying more then if you went to a Diner.

Google
Probably the best Mexican I’ve eaten on Long Island. Chips are made fresh to order. Salsa is fantastic. Guac equally as good. Got the El Gordo burrito but swapped steak for adobo pork. Divine. Margaritas light and crisp as well. Will be back as fast as I can find time.

Yelp
Cool place, friendly staff, decent prices, best fish tacos. Strong margaritas! Check it out if you are in the Hamptons

Yelp
I have heard multiple people rave about Estia's and was excited to try it given an opportunity. Be prepared to wait a bit as they don't take reservations. They have an outdoor "holding" area in their beautiful garden just for this purpose. The service is friendly. The food and cocktails were... ok. I felt the margarita, while strong, could have had more flavor. An almost $30 chowder was more like a light broth soup. It tasted good and was fresh, but it lacked the substance it was advertised as, and again could have had more flavor. Overall it was, good. Given the hype, I expected it to be outrageous.

Yelp
We were there for a fundraiser & discovered this place-wow! Not only are they incredibly community-minded and thoughtful, but the food, service and atmosphere can't be beat! We're already looking forward to stopping by when we're in the area again! What a true gem of a spot. That outside garden is beautiful and inviting, too!

Yelp
Quick service! Tasty food! Large mimosas! Very cute and intimate. Gotta come back when the weather is warm

Yelp
What a great lunch spot! We had to wait about 15min on Sunday afternoon around 1:15pm. Sat in the garden, which was beautiful and then called in for our table. The service was quick and efficient and the food was so good. I had the huevos rancheros and my husband had the chicken sandwich. Both dishes were delicious.

Yelp
This is one of my East End favorites for brunch and even dinner spot. Everything is freshly made with only quality ingredients. Be prepared to line up for a seat on the weekends in the summer.
google avatar

Yelp
They did a great job of preparing platters for me to cater a party of 10 for a Mexican backyard party. Food was tasty. Service was excellent as was the communication and the price was right.

Yelp
Another great visit to Estia's to kick off MDW and summer 2023! The staff is so welcoming and friendly and it's great to see them year after year. Updating review as I had the guts to finally venture away from my staple Breakfast Burrito and try a lunch option - the chicken BLT. SO FRESH AND SO GOOD and not overwhelmingly filling like some crispy chicken sandwiches are. I'm going to be torn between menu choices for the rest of summer! My sister got the Valencia Salad with shrimp and loved her dish as well. You really can't go wrong with anything here.
google avatar

Yelp
Estia's is one of the best breakfast and brunch spots in the Hamptons. Feels very "off the beaten path", which I like. Had an awkward moment at my last visit where the manager wouldn't seat two of us up front at a four-seater even though the place was basically empty at 2pm on a Wednesday, but not weird enough to hurt the rating.

Yelp
Gosh this is my FAVORITE breakfast/lunch spot. Hands down always a treat to come eat here. They are a Mexican based cuisine with also American dishes like French Toast, pancakes ect. I have been getting my usual which is the "Gringo Hash" under the "Bowls" section. It has everything you will need. Their mimosas are my choice of drink ;) my partner LOVES their micheladas, ( he loves spicy drinks). The workers are so sweet and quick and efficient! There are ALWAYS busy and don't take reservations. But, the wait is worth it. Their kitchen is small! But they move fast! Give them love and tip them good.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is always good ... you go here for affordable very solid Mexican food. Service is indifferent but out on the east end good and decent value are tough to come by.
google avatar

Dario S.

Yelp
Been here twice in the past two years. I wish I could go more frequently, but they get packed QUICK! You can only really get a table in the off season. The restaurant is small but very homey. Staff is friendly and the food tastes like your aunt's cooking. Great prices for the area
google avatar

Yelp
Very cute and cozy breakfast spot. Great food selections. Service inconsistent but generally ok. Get there at the open or be prepared to wait though.

Cyth l.

Yelp
Food was mid prices were absurd and service wasn't so great, no refills, no check, empty restaurant.

M B.

Yelp
I came to the restaurant and stated I wanted to order to go. The guy said just a second. I waited 20 minutes and then finally asked how long should I wait to order. He said we're not taking any orders to go and then moved on with no apology. The food isn't worth all that.

Yelp
Visited Southampton for the weekend with my girlfriends and decided to check this place out before we headed back home. Interior and Exterior of this restaurant was adorable and had an overall cozy atmosphere. For starters, we decided to have their mimosa, which was made from freshly squeezed blood orange juice (highly recommend)! I decided to have one of their platters called the "Juanitas Breakfast Cubano" with few slices of avocados. The sandwich included the roasted pork loin, turkey bacon, swiss cheese and 2 eggs (i had mine scrambled). It was pretty heavy, but tasted absolutely delicious! To add on, my friends and i really loved their hot sauces, which you can purchase for $5 each. I'll definitely be back again and would love to try their dinner menu! Highly recommend for anyone who's craving tasty Mexican-American cuisine :)

Yelp
Loved my vegan bowl and eggs! Try it! Healthy, filling, tasty! Great service too! Arrive and decide if you want outside seating or inside!

Yelp
Phenomenal food and amazing staff working extremely hard to feed us and make sure everyone stays safe. Such a cute little environment. Came here and grabbed a quick bite to go. Ate it outside and it was the perfect view and environment with amazing fresh food. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free friendly! Everything is fresh and made to order! Can't wait to come back here next time we're in town. Totally worth it!

Yelp
The prices are high and food was just very simple. The waitress was not very friendly. Complained about the tip out loud so it was heard. Really deserved no tip.

Yelp
Cool little back story to this place. Mexican inspired dishes that are excellently executed. Possibly the most impeccably executed dishes out East. It's popular and busy. You have to wait. If you don't wait, awesome. Full bar with great drinks. Tequila should be the only thing served here, or Mezcal, but you can get your fix if you need to. The outdoor seating area has a nice vibe. The indoor seating area feels more like the shell of an old trailer style diner. Wouldn't be a bad look with the small jukebox machines! Anyway, the tortilla soup is a must have. I'd come back for the winter just for it. The chili chicken burrito has a nice little spice to it, but they have some killer hot sauces they make with local ingredients too. Excellent food, customer service can feel a bit dry, but these people move on their feet fast, so one should empathize if possible. Solid experience for lunch around 1pm. We came here after the Hampton Classic nearby.

Yelp
Came here for the breakfast burrito but stayed for the salsa verde. We called ahead, ordering our food to go so we could eat at the beach. The breakfast burritos slap. They're delicious on their own but let me just say again, that salsa verde is incredible. I would eat it on everything if I could. Took a star off because they charged us extra for one small cup of salsa and didn't provide any cutlery or napkins. This place is still delicious and I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Homemade. Great for breakfast. Mostly a local place. Home cooking. Feels like you are eating in someone's home kitchen

Yelp
Adorable little restaurant with yummy food. I love the Latin influence on the dishes. I had a Shredded Beef Burrito. It needed a bit of salt/flavor. I added some hot sauce which packed some heat. My friend has the dish with chorizo. How can you go wrong with chorizo and eggs? We also shared the special cornbread French Toast which was very yummy. The garden out back was very special. Pricey but it is the Hamptons!
google avatar

Alex M.

Yelp
The food, service and cozy atmosphere are wonderful for lunch(We have only gone there for lunch). Love the Mexican corn chowder as a starter every time I go. It may be difficult to get in but so worth it.

Yelp
Great spot for brunch! Good food, nice staff, quick and easy. Pretty garden style seating outside - feels like a locally owned, small town fav!

Daniel B.

Yelp
Food is excellent. Service was good as wel. Sometimes very busy so be prepared to wait alittle on season. Well worth the wait.
google avatar

Yelp
I like the convenience, the helpful upbeat staff and of course the excellent affordable fare. I was always a patron of Estia's in Amagansett.. so now I get to take a Fall motorcycle ride here, and relive the fare proffered by Chef Colin Ambrose ! Highly recommended!

Vivian K.

Yelp
The place looked cute upon arrival. The menu choices were a bit challenging for a vegetarian so we had to ask for a change. My son wanted a burrito without the meat but with avocado and beans instead. To my great surprise the addition of a couple of slices of avocado and beans added $8 to the already pricey burrito with no allowance for the left out meat. Ok so pricey as it was - they didn't leave out the meat!! and when we complained we were told quite rudely by who we believe was the owner that he didn't make it so not his problem! He did remake it at our request but not with a friendly attitude one would expect. Also no apology. We chose to sit in the outside garden which was lovely but the presentation of our food was quite disappointing. We won't be going back.

Yelp
Best food best chef every meal every dish but especially breakfast especially mexican

Yelp
Such a staple in The Hamptons. We love coming here for breakfast. It's worth the wait, but be prepared to wait a while! There are games and coffee on the lawn to pass the time. The food is sort of Mexican inspired, and just so satisfying.
google avatar

Omer M.

Yelp
This eatery is off the path. Only offering outside seating in their garden (plenty of places t sit). Ordering involves filling out a form and handing them your order. Wait was about 10 minutes for drinks, 30 minutes for food - everything is cooked fresh. Had the Watermelon lemonade (special for the day) which was refreshing. Members of the group tried the Freddy melt, fish tacos, and burrito -all were ok. Nothing spectacular wanting us to return soon. Prices are on the higher side, even for the area.
google avatar

Marvin L.

Yelp
First thing you need to know is that there is normally a long wait if you come during peak hours. I went with a group of four around 2pm for lunch and it was still packed. Our wait time was around 40 minutes. They also close around 3pm and not have certain items after 2:30. Overall the food there was pretty decent. I'm not too fond of mexican cuisine but it was still enjoyable. If you do get stuck during the wait, the outside area is really nice with a small garden and a cart that sells coffee and juice.

M A.

Yelp
This was an actual experience and not just baseless complaining. I congratulate businesses that provide good food and customer service. The food here was delicious, but to deny my son a pancake when we were there for 2 hours was just ridiculous. Estia's Kitchen messed up that day and should take responsibility. PS that's how businesses fail; they do not take responsibility and perform corrective action.
google avatar

Dipika P.

Yelp
Definitely on the pricier side but it is worth it. There was a slight wait and I can imagine the place is even nicer in the summer (and more packed) but again WORTH IT. We waited about 20 minutes (keep in mind in the winter). There is an outdoor coffee cart that was closed for the season and an outdoor area to wait. We ordered the breakfast burrito, shrimp quesadilla and Isabella's request. All of them tasted amazing and fresh. The breakfast burrito was my favorite! We also each got coffee - this place does let you bring coffee from outside stores but they do charge a fee of $3 so keep that in mind. This was the first time I ever heard of a place charging you if you bring other coffee (which I've done in the past at so many places lol) Definitely recommend this place it's cute and small but worth the wait.

Yelp
I was in the Sag harbor area looking for a good spot for an early lunch and I was very pleased I found this little spot. To start off pulling up to this place it looks like a cute little breakfast nook. I was there on a weekday and the place was still very crowded. I found one empty seat at the counter and I took it. As I was seated I was given a menu and asked what I'd like to drink. The menu had a lot of delicious sounding choices I decided to start with the tortilla soup and for my lunch I got the breakfast burrito. The soup was perfect eating temperature and delicious . Little disappointed I didn't get the bowl size. Shortly after I finished my soup my breakfast burrito came out. I must say this was probably best breakfast burrito I have ever had. It was just a great explosion of different flavors and I just didn't want it to end. Only thing to beware of is this place is a little pricey but that is to be expected in Sag Harbor. I would highly recommend this spot if you're out east. But from what I hear on the weekends it has a bit of a wait , but well worth it.

Yelp
My fiance and I came here on a Friday morning. This place came highly recommended from two friends that have a home in the area. The restaurant was pretty empty at 8:30 AM. We were immediately seated and tended to. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive during our entire time at the restaurant. The coffee was strong just how I like it and refills were plentiful. I ordered the gringo hash and my fiance ordered the Acme breakfast. Both meals were flavorful and well put together. The backyard garden area was beautiful, although we did not spend much time out there.

Ben G.

Yelp
The world changes fast. The south fork faster. Estia's does not flow with those powerful tides. It is timeless, excellent and durable. I come here whenever I can and always have the same outstanding experience. The staff is warm. The food is fantastic. The lines get longer every summer, but the quality doesn't suffer. I first came mostly for breakfast and lunch. George's Ranch, scrambled with fruit. That was until I discovered the nachos for dinner. Holy guacamole. My wife likes the steak. The corn soup is creamy and flavorful. Turtle rolls are simple, fresh and pure joy. Like a summer day in the yard. Bring the kids to play in the back while you wait for a table. Watch the staff smile and laugh while the kids act like kids. No pretensions. Just delicious fun.

Yelp
We sat outdoors and were seated at the what appeared to be and felt like the coziest seat in the house. My wife surprised me with a drink called the big fat greek wedding. It was really good. The decor was beautiful and the food was top notch. I had swordfish for the first time and it was delicious. They did advise that we have a 2 hour limit that was just the right amount t of time for us to enjoy.I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Excellent, fresh, and authentic Mexican food. Exceptional service. Today I ordered the breakfast burrito--egg whites, jack cheese, sausage, onion--yum!! One of my favorite places on Long Island!
google avatar

Jeannie M.

Yelp
The food is very good. The vegetables in the VRB quesadilla tasted like they were just picked from the farm!

Yelp
Amazing food at Estia's. Highly recommend ordering pick up and seating down to eat in their beautiful garden.

Yelp
Really good food!!!! Cute place and very busy. We had about a 20 minute wait which wasn't surprising on a weekend. The place is cute, but a bit noisy. It did take a while for food to arrive but it was worth it. I started with a Bloody Mary which was quite good. I decided on the Mexican hat hash and was glad I did, it was delicious!!!! The perfect balance of spice. Good size portions and everything was very fresh!!!! Very very good food!!!

Yelp
Haven't been there since a year ago since I was insulted by the proprietor because I questioned his waiter for locating me to close to another party during height of Covid. I'm sure he'll do fine without me Also, curious how he was able to delete from Yelp my first review regarding this incident!!!
google avatar

Erica W.

Yelp
Damn! Estia's was such a pleasant surprise. We ended up here completely on accident but am so glad we did. This is one of those places where you can't wait to show each of your friends what a tasty spot you found. Went here with a friend and got the nachos and chicken rellenos. I can not recommend the nachos enough! We were kinda full after eating just that. Omg so good. I WILL be back for those and those alone. Needless to say I took most of the rellenos home, but it was excellent. Packed with flavor and not too heavy. Price for a margarita was a touch steep ($14) but it was very well made. I'd love to try other drinks from here but I can't say no to an excellent margarita. From the tortillas and salsa to the drinks and even the rice, everything I had at Estia's was ridiculously flavorful and I tasted something new in every bite. Fair warning--this place is smallish so I recommend reservations if your party is larger than 2. My friend and I were able to snag seats at the bar after 20 or so minutes.

Yelp
So we were looking for a good breakfast spot. The reviews for here were good. I was here once before... Can't honestly remember if it was good or not. I ordered their Crab N Eggs and an iced tea. Came out to about $25. Its basically a crab cake in a homemade English muffin. Everything came in a to-go container since it was during Covid. When I opened it, one of my poached eggs had the yoke broken before I could slice into it. (sad) It was kind of pricey for what I got. The crab cake tasted OK but I've had much better. The food wasn't great. Certainly not worth what I spent on it. I would of been happier hitting a deli for a hungry man burrito for $10 lol I did really like sitting outside with their garden though. There were a few bees but otherwise it was nice and peaceful. Still it didn't help the food taste better lol

Daniel R.

Yelp
The host, who I assume is also the owner, is a cantankerous jerk who should not be in the hospitality business. He stands in the doorway, chest puffed out, blocking the entrance and tells would-be customers to stay outside in the cold. I paid for my pickup order and he loudly shouted so all around could hear that "there is no service charge included," so I should "leave a tip." I paused, and looked at him and said, "a tip for pickup?" and he began a lecture / tirade, explaining that "you see, when you order, the staff has to stop what they are doing and prepare your food, so if you do not tip them, we cannot do take out anymore." Baffled by this utter nonsense (this is a for-profit business, charging $20 for eggs) I stammered...not sure what to even say to that because its so illogical. He then looked at me and said, "you know what, if you want to STIFF MY STAFF, you go ahead!" All I could say to that was "you know, I really do not like how you are talking to me right now," to which he shouted back, "YOU DON'T LIKE HOW IM STICKING UP FOR MY STAFF!!!??" and then he turned his back at me and ran inside. NO ONE should spend another dollar at this joke of a restaurant until he is gone.

Yelp
I had heard great things about Estia's and was really looking forward to trying it. It is a super cute set up with really pretty outdoor seating. The food is expensive, but nothing more than typical Hamptons overpriced. I came here on Saturday afternoon with a group and once we placed our order, we were told it would be an hour wait until our food would come out so we canceled our order and decided to come back the next day. We ordered ahead for Sunday brunch and when I called in the order, I was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. The man who took our order both days was extremely rigid and uptight which was a little off-putting. It was a bit annoying that first day when we were trying to eat lunch that we weren't informed of the long wait until after our order was placed. Now for the food. I'm from south Texas and have been searching for good Mexican food in the Hamptons to no avail, so I was excited when people told me this place was good. The food was a huge disappointment. First, the tacos on the menu are not actually tacos. It is a flat tortilla covered in all of the ingredients such that you have to eat it with a fork and knife. For example, I got the huevos rancheros "taco" and it was so covered in salsa and other wet toppings and there was no way I could even think about picking it up like a taco. It is more like a taco pizza. The only flavor you could taste in the taco was the salsa. I didn't even take a picture of it because it looked so unappetizing the way it was presented. The chips and guac were pretty good. The pancakes are not worth getting at all; it tastes like they were made from a pre-packaged mix. The rich roll burrito had okay flavor but was not well assembled; all of the ingredients were falling apart as you ate. It was also pretty basic, more like something I could easily throw together at home than a chef-prepared meal. My husband tried the egg and cheese sandwich and said it was pretty good. However, overall, the food is really lacking in flavor and IMO, is not worth trying again.

Yelp
What a local Treat Mexican food that's prepared incredibly well. Good for Breakfast Lunch or Dinner
