Such a great vibe for settling in with the laptop and getting things done 💻☕. The drinks were spot on, and the atmosphere made it easy to focus while still feeling relaxed 🍺. The owner and staff were unbelievably friendly, making the whole visit feel welcoming from start to finish 🤝. Definitely a place I’ll look forward to coming back to often.

Great spot! We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy. Lots of young families, dogs and open spaces. They had good live music as well as some of the college football games on. I had a really good IPA & my wife had a apple cider margarita which was great. We nibbled on a really good prezel with beer cheese & a fantastic large chocolate chip cookie that we took to go. Service was smooth & friendly where they keep the line moving with minimal wait. Solid vibes here and great day spot for some good brews & food!

One of the most beautiful breweries that we have ever been to. They have beans and brews. Coffee, beer cider and a food truck right off the side!! I had the Cowboy amber and my wife had the Cabrinha Drifter lager. Both are very tasty. The court yard area is spectacular. Very nicely done! The staff is very friendly and pay attention to the patrons. They have a huge upper level looking back over the brewing area and seating area!! Dogs allowed!

6/26/25 Trivia tonight which was a lot of fun. Got the burger- I didn't care for it, but the other guy at the table loved his. Didn't look like the pic. Barely any caramelized onions. Tater Tots were goof, especially if you like spicy. My Lavender Honey Iced Latte was awesome. Music Bingo on Tues nights! If you drink beer, this is the place for you. I got a macchiato and it was in a small cup.

Maureen was great, she suggested the Costa Rica Cofee and it was amazing!!! Come see her and get the best coffee!!

My husband and I just moved a mile down the road and have been here three times so far. Every single time we have met the nicest bartenders. The seltzer on tap is phenomenal. Excellent food choices. Everything about this place is 10 out of 10.

Pros: Rain or shine Estuary has indoor and outdoor space for everyone. Upstairs low and high top tables and one set of Cornhole. Great for kids. Canned local Southeast soda from GA. Bakery items to go with your coffee. Specialty coffees in large supply. Soft pretzels. Food trucks daily. Beautiful pergola, string lights, greenery, and fire pit near the outdoor stage. Cons: no in-house meals. Too many good choices. Only 5 minutes from home if you live on Johns Island. Kid-friendly, dog-friendly. ...I guess there aren't many cons 😉.

I've been wanting to go here for a while. I'm so glad I did. I got the cowboy coffee beer. I love a brew that has hints of coffee taste to it. They also have a pizza food truck outside (full menu w salads and burgers)with a lovely patio. Next door is a distillery (opens at 3pm). They also have a sushi food truck with a patio. Very chill vibe. People were on the patio with their kids. Live music. Everybody was super nice who helped me. They also have a chocolate chip cookie that is huge and delightful. Highly recommend

I don't understand how these people stay in business other than walk in traffic you can't call him. Their website doesn't work you can't find out if their pizza restaurant is open you can't order from the pizza restaurant it's crazy. I've never experienced anything as frustrating as doing business with a place like this, and maybe in my entire life, they need some help

I only got a black coffee but I'll definitely be back! Delicious cup and I'd be so tempted to try their food truck. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and vibes. The perfect "beach" brewery and I look forward to going back for live music and food. Service was also very friendly and welcoming! Seems like my type of crowd.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We visited on a Sunday afternoon with live music playing and this spot was beautiful and well designed. The menu had a curated list of a variety of draft beers, cocktails, ciders, and wine. The food was fantastic from the wood fired truck on site! Everyone on staff was incredibly friendly and attentive to my pup. There were plenty of seating options at the outdoor picnic tables, indoor high tops, and some cozy spots with couches. We will definitely be back!

Not many places you can say their coffee is just as good as their beer! Love Estuary in the morning + evenings. The outdoor space is unrivaled. The food trucks add a flexibility if you want some nosh while you're here. Dog and kid friendly is also hard to beat. We love estuary and the folks who work here. Cannot encourage folks to check It our enough!

I want to love this place because the ambiance & space is so beautiful, but I've had several visits here that left a sour taste in my mouth (and not because of Captain Tang - our favorite sour beer)! On a few occasions I felt as though I was bothering the staff when ordering & didn't get super warm or friendly vibes. We also came for music bingo only to be left hanging by the bartenders who, upon learning that the host had canceled, never informed the 50+ guests sitting there waiting for it to start. It's a great spot to grab a beer & sit outside, but expect hit-or-miss service and inconsistency with scheduled events.

I don't think we got the full feel of what this place has to offer because we went earlier in the day but this was such a great venue that I'm sure it would be popping with some music and a good crowd! The beer was good! I was recommended a mimosa with fresh oj so of course I took them up on that, we will surely be back on our next visit!

Cool location off of Maybank - it's not obvious where to turn so pay attention to your GPS. A really nice facility, both inside and out. Lots of space. Great selection of beers on tap, something to satisfy every palate. They will often have a food truck for meals, and maybe even music trivia bingo.

My current favorite beer at Estuary is 25 Island Wide- a hazy IPA. The atmosphere is really great here and they have a new resident food truck- PIZZA! Nothing beats pizza and beer- right? This place is also consistently dog and kid friendly, inside and out.

I was passing through the area and discovered this business. I wish i had the time to sit for a few beers instead of picking up coffee to go. Go have .

This was a great addition to the Johns Island food and bev scene. The outside area alone warrants its 5 star rating. It is extremely dog friendly, welcoming dogs inside and out. Lots of seating, fire pits, and a stage for live performances. The only beers I get there are the sours, but they are definitely some of the best in the city. The Capt. Tang is my go to. I also love that is is open in the mornings for coffee and crepes. All around a great place for your early morning caffeine buzz or late night beer buzz.

Cruising through John's Island and exploring all the new spots that have opened, that I'd been 'meaning to get to', this being on my list. I love coffee, but not much on all the additions of flavor to coffee.. I just want coffee! My niece, however, enjoys a mix occasionally...so a perfect spot to try... The first item that piqued my interest was the honey lavender coffee..so I waffled, but decided to throw caution and give it a try. It was delicious and delicate in flavor ! The small was a pretty decent size and my niece and i enjoyed a long visit over our honey lavender coffee! This spot is definitely on my list to hit again.

We're new to Johns Island and were looking for a place to get a drink so tried Estuary. Such a cool place and environment. Came on a Thursday night so weren't a ton of people there but it was still really cool and the staff was friendly and helpful suggesting beers. Huge selection of beer on tap there's something for everyone.

my favorite coffee shop, bar and hang out spot in all of Charleston. Amazing coffee! really good selection of beers and cocktails and the vibes are immaculate. I love to work here through the week and visit on the weekends when family is in town or just pop in for a coffee they always have lots of activities. I need to make it to yoga one weekend! also cool food trucks. Lots of space as well, so even if it's busy, you're still gonna be able to find a spot.

Awesome brewery on Johns Island. Large inside and outside sitting area to enjoy their beer. Large selection of beer on tap so almost anyone can find something they will like. Also have a few seltzer options. I had the Hefeweizen, Pale Ale, and west coast IPA. They also have a seafood food truck outside. A lot of fresh and tasty options while enjoying a few beers!

Collaborate. Create. Celebrate. Is their motto and this phenomenal Roastery/Brewery has accomplished that for sure. This acreage is well thought out. Neighboring with Carolina Distillery the outside patios extend into a landscape artistry prepped for your family, pets and events. Great craft beer choices with a emphasis on IPA'S from the stills in the back and/or try their fresh coffee roasted upstairs with a menu of fingers foods brings a atmosphere of relaxation and fun to any day of the week you stop by.. They offer a breakfast menu till noon and finger foods like tacos after. You may catch a pop up or a food truck that they show on their website calendar. Wish I could of stayed longer was my only complaint.

This place has the best atmosphere! The outdoor area is huge and so pretty. They also had a stage for live music that would be fun. The inside is also cool. There is an upstairs as well. This would be a good place to have games while drinking. Hopefully they incorporate that in the future. There are so many beers to choose from. I'm not a big beer drinker so I got the Pink & Salty Seltzer. It was pretty good, but a little on the sweet side. I saw some other people walking out with some fun cocktails that I will try next time.

Beer, coffee, and crepes, oh my! They also make some cocktails too! This place has a lot going on and will be a big draw for John's island. And you get to tour a random neighborhood as you're guaranteed to miss the turn off... They have a wide variety of styles of beer, but If you need some liquor the Charleston distillery is right next-door. The barkeeps were very friendly and helpful in getting a beer you'll love. Captain Tang for me! They have good outdoor seating as well as indoor with an extra upstairs. And doggo friendly so bring your petting hands. Cheers!

We stopped in here with a group of 6 and had such a good time! They have an impressively large drink selection- it's the typical beers but then also seltzers, sangrias, and even a beer + mezcal combo. It's easy to please a crowd- they have something for everyone. I tried a couple of IPAs and liked them both. They have a food truck out front but you can also order food from the sushi + hibachi food truck at the distillery next door.

Came here to enjoy a Sunday funday with our in laws since we are making a bigger effort to enjoy spots on Johns Island! I love that they brew coffee and beer, but also have plenty of craft cocktail options! They don't serve flights but they do 5 oz pours which was just as good. You won't lose whether you sit inside or outside because both are so charming and spacious. My only regret... is that I didn't have room to try their version of an espresso martini, so I will for sure be trying that next time! Love the addition of having a food truck, too!

Kid friendly. We've had some fun times here. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Lots of outdoor seating, food trucks, drinks and live music.

Super friendly staff. Beer was good, but none that I personally fell in love with. I tried several, and wasn't too convinced in either. When I told the bartender, she suggested I try 2 others. I ended up going with one of her suggestions. You also gotta love the food truck on site. Who doesn't like crepes lol. If in doubt, give them a try. A 5 oz pour was a little over $3, you can't beat that that. And plus, you can get a crepe. It's really a win win. P.S. - the Crepes are fire. Especially the Club. P.S.S. - They also have coffee.

Always something fun going on here, even if it's just enjoying a beautiful day outside on their patio. There's plenty of space for everyone in your party and then some. We love their variety of beverages as well as the resident crepe food truck outside. We can't wait to be back!

This was our second visit here, and both times we enjoyed ourselves. Estuary offers a great night out, with many seasonal beers brewed on site. They also offer some interesting beer cocktails, but I haven't tried any of those yet. The staff are great and will let you try samples of different options to find out what's right for you. They have a huge patio with shade for the day and is well lit for the evenings. There are also plenty of merch options, from mugs to tshirts and hats. You can also take some of their beer home in cans as well. This has become a regular stop for us when we visit Johns Island, and I look forward to coming back.

I'm reviewing their coffee roasting operation only. I'm a coffee geek who buys beans from the best roasters around the country. My wife and I always come back to Estuary's coffees. That's plural. They are all great - each with their own personality but each roasted in a way that brings out the best of the coffee. Our favorites are the Guatemalan and the Costa Rican but we also love the Sumatran and the Espresso Blend. We occasionally buy a bag of the Congo for a change of pace. Their coffees tend to be less acidic and fruity than some specialty roasters and even their lighter roasted Costa Rican is fairly well developed and rich tasting. We brew drip, V60, and espresso. They always have the roast date on the bottom of the bag and show the roast level on the front of the bag which we like. Last comment, their coffees are all about $14 per 12 oz. bag as of 3/26/24. That's a lot less than many specialty roasters where you can pay over $20 or even $30 per bag and then be disappointed in the coffee. Very light roasted coffees are almost impossible to brew espresso with and even drip coffee often tastes like tea with very mild flavor. Never had this experience with any of Estuary coffees.

This place has a very modern feel. The selection of beer and cocktails here were great! Even if you are not a beer fan, you can get a refreshing cocktail or seltzer. I attended a community event here. I had a great time! The outdoor space was gorgeous and the tables/heaters made the experience better. Also, there was a food truck to grab dinner from which was a plus. I hade a strawberry seltzer and a sour beer. Both had great flavor. Service was great too. The bartender actually made great suggestions for me to try based on my preference. The parking situation in a little odd. I had to street park in a very congested area. It was really hard to find where to park and it is very dark near the property at night. Also, it looks like it's located in or around a neighborhood. I will be back. I would like to try the coffee.

A wonderful addition the the fast growing Johns Island community. Estuary has something for everyone. Like beer? They have a huge selection (duh...brewery). Like coffee? They also have a huge selection of different coffee drinks. Don't like beer or coffee? Cool, they have prosecco and mixed "cocktail" selections as well. There is a permanent onsite crepe food truck that serves up some delicious sweet and/or savory options. They also have rotating food trucks. They've newly added an extension to their already large outdoor seating area which is fantastic for those wanting to sit outside. They are also dog friendly so bring your pup!

The cutest little outdoor brewery/coffee bar!! We tried the sour flight and the Cabrinha Drifter- Coast to Coast Lager!! The lager was delicious!! Beautiful outdoor area with live music! Would highly recommend!

The beer selection is on point. My husband and I, who have completely different tastes in beer, can come here and find multiple options we both enjoy. Plus, the fun cocktails and wine on tap are a nice addition when you want to switch things up (or for those who don't particularly love beer). Also love that I can come and grab a coffee in the morning and bring my laptop to do some work (nice change of scenery from my home office every once in a while). It's a cozy atmosphere, plenty of places to sit (not to mention three fire pit areas), and I can bring the pup! We love coming here with friends on the weekends or for a date night during the week with one of their many food trucks they have scheduled. It's been a fun new hangout spot on the island!

Great coffee and beer. Very friendly staff and host fun events weekly. Very clean and have plenty of seating. Parking is on site but can be limited with large crowds. A place you must check out on Johns Island.

Stopped in for a beer while in the Charleston area. The logo and place was very cute and of course I had to buy a coozie...the last thing I needed. We just stayed for one and moved on to the next, but each of us enjoyed our beer and the environment. It was a pretty chilly night, but we opted to sit outside amongst the palm trees and fire pit and chatted about the holidays. We brought a bag of their coffee with us back to Baltimore. Have yet to try it, but happy to have supported local! Cheers!

Awesome place, super friendly staff and they let my little pooch in to sit by the fan in the corner. It's 95o out with same humidity so thanks for that. People are super friendly and coming from CA, I'm not used to people talking to me even tough my little dog is a big draw for attention. Beer is decent and I'll try the coffee outside of acceptable beer drinking hours . Will make it a local destination.

It felt like home! Coffee and beer...its all a girl needs in life. Love the beer selection here. Estuary offers something for everyone and even fruity seltzers. The customer service was great and everyone was so patient as I stared at the board trying to decide. Lovely patio area where they light up the fire pits at night.

I checked this cool place out for the first time this morning. What a beautiful building and super friendly staff! I just wanted a latte today and it was made expertly. Very rich and delicious coffee! Great looking craft beer menu and if I wanted breakfast, an extensive crepe menu. I can't believe this amazing place is just down the street from me on Johns Island!

Estuary Beans & Barley on Meeks Farm Road on Johns Island is great place to go for delicious and well prepared drinks. I really like the space and laid back atmosphere. The outside area is really good for larger groups and music. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need.

Had a great experience over at Estuary Beans and Barley out on Johns Island this weekend. It was busy on a Saturday afternoon-- loved the fire pits and seating outside-- and can't wait for warmer weather when they can open up their garage doors! They have a crepe food truck out front that is there every day- which I can't wait to try on my next visit. There was another food truck there serving up some delicious seafood-- and a great smashburger. The brewery is also conveniently located right next door to Charleston Distilling, so you can easily walk over and do a liquor tasting after you try some brews. They also have a list of coffee drinks available-- and the hot chocolate is perfect to sip on while sitting around the fire outside right now. The place is also very dog friendly, and there were a few kids roaming around... there was plenty of space. I Liked the IPA's I got to try- and will definitely be returning to try some more of their concoctions!

I don't love that they don't just have pastries around in the morning. It's easy to contract some to be brought by from a bakery like Wild Flours.

Stopped here just after lunch times. It's a beautiful brewery. Owned by a veteran who served his country proudly. The beer selections are many. A great food truck always on site. It's a spot not to pass by.

First time here and we absolutely loved it. There is really something for everyone, coffee/tea, wine, fun cocktail specials and of course amazing beer. I think each one I ordered I declared my favorite. The staff was also incredible. It was so busy but they were completely calm, kind and just it just really stuck out to us how awesome they were. Drunk Tony's food truck was there and it was everything I needed post wedding weekend. We can't wait to be back!

Really cool brewery on Johns island. They serve coffee and beer. You can buy individual packaged coffee grounds. The beer is really good. They are planning on having around 25 different beers. Plenty of sitting area outside and upstairs. They have a food truck that makes crepes.

Great set up, and great place for a beer or too. Occasional food trucks are usually pretty good.

For opening 4 days prior to going there, I was incredibly impressed by their preparation, organization, and their cool space. They serve both coffee and beer, what could get any better than that? A crepe food truck too! Their beer was extremely tasty, especially the rye porter and the capt'n tang (a fruit berliner weisse). I highly suggest a stop at this sweet spot!

This is such a great John's Island gem. This spot serves coffee, beer, and pastries. The ambiance is what really sold me on this place. It has a very modern, slightly industrial feel that you don't really see in Charleston. They have indoor seating as well as a ton of great outdoor seating, complete with string lights and outdoor heaters. This place really focuses on keeping things local and supporting the community with fundraisers and partnering with local companies. Their coffee is hit or miss for me. It's roasted in small batches, which is great, but sometimes it's too bitter for me. I usually drink my coffee black, though. I'm sure if you order one of the delicious coffee drinks (lates, etc.) it would be consistently delicious. The beer choice spans the gamut so everyone can find at least one beer that sounds good to them. I recently had the De la Noche beer (lime lager with seltzer, I believe), and it was GREAT.

Heard about the new brewery on the island, so we thought about checking it out. It did not disappoint! The cowboy, gator boots, and noche de mar, were excellent. Finally a brewery that has more than one beer I like. It had great outside area with heat lamps and a food truck. Highly recommend giving this place a shot

Beer selection seemed decent on the board. However, they do not let you try a tiny taste of anything before ordering a full pint, and they do not offer flights. Staff were not friendly and more occupied in socializing. We were clearly told when we ordered, "Last call is in 30 minutes, and we are cleaning up now, so get all your orders in now." Um... So, I had one pint and chose not to order more before last call. I doubt I'll be back until they either offer flights or allow a taste before committing to a pint--or get friendlier bar staff.

Estuary is one of my favorite places to grab a coffee and get some work done on a nice day. The outdoor seating is really nice and it's always a really good vibe from both the staff and other patrons out there. Every time I had been, they have food trucks outside and excellent music playing (seriously the music choice is killer). I can't speak much on the brewery side of things, as I don't drink, but their selection looks awesome and seems to have something for everyone. If it's as good as their coffee, then it's great!

Stopped in after dark for coffee beans and decided to have a beer. It was hard to find in the dark but I'm glad I did. Enjoying Inshore Slam NE IPA very much. Looks like it would be a great place to have a beer and relax on a nice day since they have a lot of outdoor seating.

I'm not a beer drinker but these guys are quietly selecting and roasting some world class coffee beans. As a coffee geek, I have tried beans from the best roasters around the U.S. My wife and I have somewhat different tastes in coffees but we both consistently like the coffees from Estuary. Favorites are the Costa Rican and Guatamalan. The latter is my current favorite coffee period. They seem to roast their beans weekly so they are always fresh. And their roaster manages to produce a consistent roast and flavor profile week after week. Lastly, their price at around $13/12 oz. is much less expensive than the gourmet roasters around the country who often charge up to $21/12 oz. So don't just think of these guys as a brewery. They are serious about their coffee beans also.
