There’s a new French bakery perched on top of Lookout Mountain, and it’s easily become my favorite bakery anywhere. The baker trained in a French culinary school, and you can taste that expertise in every loaf and pastry. The dough is fermented for several days, creating incredible depth of flavor—rich, tangy, and perfectly textured in a way you rarely find outside of France. Every item here has a story, and that makes the experience even better. The coffee beans come from Laos, part of a project that helped farmers transition away from poppy and opium production. The milk used in the lattes and cappuccinos is A2—sourced from local Jersey cows—making it gentler on the stomach while still impossibly creamy. Whether you drive or ride your bike, the trip up Lookout Mountain is worth it. This bakery combines technique, ethics, and flavor in a way that feels truly special. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Google
Very friendly staff. They make everything fresh with no preservatives. Their prices are amazing and the pastry and coffee I got were perfection! They also gave me a little glass of sparkling water with my Cortado as a palette cleanser, a nice touch and much appreciated. Only alternative milk option was almond but they use A2 whole milk which I appreciated. The decor and ambiance was a bit lacking but it was very clean and nice inside regardless. Definitely a place I’d come to get some writing or work done, so peaceful. So glad I found this place, I can’t wait to come back!!

Google
This is a perfect place to stop after biking up Lookout. The whole place is brand new. I wish I had taken a picture of the pristine bathroom! I got quiche and some of the little pastries—which were just sweet enough. Seemed authentic! Next time I will try the croissant with jam. Espresso was on point. Service was what you’d expect from a fine restaurant. Will definitely come back!

First off, reading the 1–3 star reviews genuinely made me laugh. One person claimed us 5-star folks must have never tried a croissant before and then proceeded to explain to a French café how to make one. It blows my mind how people treat Google reviews 🤦‍♀️ That said, the real reason I’m here: every item we ordered hit the mark, and we left genuinely pleased. I’ve worked in high-end French restaurants and have tried a wide range of French pastries over the years, so I say this with some experience… they’re doing it right here and my lemon tart truly made my day ☺️ More importantly, everyone working was kind and thoughtful, taking the time to explain each item. I love when a place is full of heart and you can feel that here. It was a perfect start to my morning in a beautiful part of Colorado. Thank you!!

Google
We stopped by after leaving Look Out Mountain Park and Buffalo Bill Museum. We all had their Chocolate Croissants and they were nice and flaky, buttery and the chocolate so nice a rich. They also had Quiche, Coffee, Waters and Juice plus other items we didn't try. If you go by to sight see, I'd stop by.

Google
Amazing bakery! Staff was incredibly friendly and explained how everything is baked fresh daily and made with no preservatives. The chocolate croissant was so warm, buttery, flaky, and just melted in my mouth. We also had a drip coffee and a latte. Coffee was perfect strength, and the latte was a perfect balance of milk and espresso. Definitely a stop if you are going to Lookout Moutain as there is plenty of parking for both cars and bicycles.

Google
This amazing café tucked away in the Lookout Mountains is fantastic! From the quaint decor to the extremely nice baristas to the delicious coffee, this is a must-see if you are in the area. Thank me later!

Google
Great new authentic French bakery opened ~3 weeks ago, perfectly-suited for cyclists/motorcyclists going up/down Lookout as well as tourists. No preservatives in anything and fresh everything. Great service and space and they're starting a cyclist emergency corner with tubes and pump in case of flats. My favorite thing in the world are chocolate croissants, and theirs are masterfully created and tasty. Will be back with friends.

Yelp
Holy Smokes! That pain au chocolat just took me back to my Aix-en-Provence days, wonderful! And the baguette was perfect- crunch & delicate all in the same bite. Well worth the drive to this out of the way treasure!!

Yelp
I wish I could give it a 10! I was told that the pain au chocolat takes 3 days to prepare, but mine took about 3 minutes to devour. Yummm. French bread, croissants, cookies... spectacular! Some Francophobes at Jeffco are determined to drive these folks out of Golden, but let's hope common sense prevails. They need a variance to live on the back lot for a couple of years. No big deal. Vive la France.

Yelp
This is my #1 favorite coffee shop, and my favorite bakery. Whenever I can I like to bike lookout mountain from golden to the observatory on the peak and the. Stop at Et Voila on my way back down. The first thing you notice is how friendly the owners are and how invested they are in this business. They are always so excited to greet visitors and when you order the pride in their goods beams through. Everything is custom made on site with great care and consideration and it shows in the quality. The owners bring traditional French baking to a rustic mountain coffee shop atmosphere and its just everything. My order generally consists of a shot of beet juice (because Im exercising), a slice of the quiche (cold), and a double shot of espresso with sparkling water. That being said its worth tasting your way through the menu because its all good. This business has become part of a routine for me and I really want to see it thrive. It is always full of cyclists, hikers, people out for a morning walk, etc. and just radiates community vibes. I sincerely hope Jeff Configures out a way to keep this business open i stead of shutting down a thriving small business.

Yelp
"Golden Colorado, Golden Orange Juice, Golden Service." The ambiance is outstanding, and the location is perfect--right next to the Buffalo Bills Gravesite and Lookout Mountain Park. It's a must-see if you're looking for authenticity, which is rare these days. The restaurant is beautiful, and I was greeted with an enthusiastic reception by Dan. Not only was I impressed by the wealth of knowledge he shared about the food, espresso, and pastries they make daily, but he also took the time to show me how to properly enjoy each dish. I'll definitely be back to try the croissants!

Yelp
So glad to have this place in the neighborhood! The staff are really nice, the coffee is good and the pastries are tasty. The ceilings are high and the layout is warehouse- like, so it can get extremely loud and echo-y, particularly if people aren't using their indoor voices. Watch out for the heavy doors- I clipped the back of my ankle on my way out while negotiating my stroller and it took a small piece out of my ankle.

Yelp
We stopped in as tbis place is perfectly positioned for a pit stop for people passing through on bicycles or motorcycles or even cars. They have coffee, tea, and sweet and savory pastries. They even have bundles of pastry + drink. Tea was ok but the pastries were good. Bathrooms, water fill up stations, bicyle tools, etc., are all available. I wish they had some more food options, especially since so many active individuals pass through. Hopefully that's on it way as the place gets busier.

Yelp
Really superb coffee and breads! I'll be buying my French sourdough there weekly from now on! Great prices! It was very windy and cold on my first visit, so inside not so warm. However the staff are professional and warm. I'd love to hear soft music for a welcoming atmosphere. They have games available for customers. We bought another coffee while we played! Blessings on this place and thier efforts.

Yelp
Found this lovely FRENCH bakery while exploring Lookout Mountain in Golden. This family run bakery has excellent, authentic French pastries and delicious coffees and teas. We loved our pastries and will definitely be back for more! Support small family owned businesses in our community!

Yelp
Best new spot on top of lookout- perfect spot to stop for coffee or tea if your out hiking or biking. A couple parties to choose from and even some tubes and stuff to repair a flat tire - cyclists are gonna love it!
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
This coffee shop is conveniently located for all types of bikers to make a stop! They even have spare bicycle parts for sale incase needed and a pump. The cold brew tea of the day (2/5): very weak on flavor and full of ice. Mostly tastes like water. I would've loved it to have been WAY stronger. Goat cheese quiche (4/5): definitely get it warmed up. Service (5/5): friendly and accommodating. They even have a water spout to refill any water bottles. Definitely a convenient spot to pull over!

Liz W.

Yelp
Amazing spot! We got two iced lattes and a few pastries and it was wonderful! I suggest the quiche. No preservatives, no artificial food coloring, not a lot of sweetness, it was perfect. Great service

Yelp
We were on our way up the mountain towards the Buffalo Bills historic site. We noticed this new café. It is completely French owned and just spectacular. Their pastries are one of a kind and completely fresh and delicious. The service is spectacular and she gave us a little history about her food as well as herself being from France. They have free Wi-Fi and a nice sitting area to just enjoy your food and beverage. If you're traveling up the mountain, please stop and say hello and try their place. We will return again.

Yelp
Light, flaky with just the right amount of density for their croissants. Great flavor.

Yelp
Nice friendly bakery. Will be back soon! Coffee was amazing! A great find in Lookout Mountain!

Yelp
Loved the latte and the small square cookies . Our server, proficient in spoken French patiently explained the difference in each dessert. Overall loved the vibe and selection of French bakery. Would definitely recommend!

Waheets A.

Yelp
We didn't order anything from here because the guy who was taking our order was stern and rude. We left after he treated us with bad customer service. We're not from the Colorado area and we saw this cool coffee shop on the way to Lookout mountain, but we wasted our time to stopping by. There was also little to no pastries available when we came early which was unfortunate. Also, you can't add flavors to any of the coffees which is the first we've seen. The atmosphere seemed cool and modern, but unfortunately we were not able to make use of it to enjoy coffee.

Charles A.

Yelp
Great place Coffee selections are great and the taste is fantastic. We got there late in the day. We tried a few of the pastries and they tasted great. I need to ho back early and get some more of their selection. The people who own it are very friendly!!! Stop and support them

Yelp
Amazing coffee, bread, pastries and quiches. Authentic French experience. This place is owned and opt by a French family. They are delightful. Go there. It is very reasonably priced, maybe even cheaper than Starbucks but far better quality. Service is great. Ambiance is great. A wonderful local business.

Yelp
It's a French bakery, what else do you need to know? It's on Lookout Mountain Rd, very out-of-the-way, but it catches bikers that use Lookout Mountain for exercise. The choices are limited, which is why it has 4 stars, but otherwise it's great!

Saige G.

Yelp
This bakery is the only french bakery I love. All the ingredients are top quality and the food is amazing. Never have had such a phenomenal croissant in my life. A great ambiance with board games to sit down and enjoy the place with friendly service. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Welcoming amazing French owners! Tea (earl grey) & espresso were delicious as well as the croissants. Relaxing atmosphere will definitely be back!

Yelp
Authentic French bakery with wonderful 5-Star tasting French pastries, breads, cheese, tarts, coffee, teas, hot chocolate, juices, quiches, and more! Popular new gathering place for families, locals, bikers, friends, and out-of-town tourists. Owned and operated by a wonderful French family. Ruth, the chief baker, was trained in Paris by world-class bakers.

Elo A.

Yelp
We were traveling from Los Angeles to Colorado and made a random stop at Et Voila French Bakery for coffee--and wow, what an incredible surprise! I ordered an iced latte, and it turned out to be the best iced latte I have ever tasted. Smooth, rich, perfectly balanced--it was absolute perfection in a cup. I loved it so much that I bought one for the road, and before leaving that little village, I had to go back and grab a second one. The kind of drink you'll never forget. If you're anywhere near this bakery, don't miss it. A hidden gem worth the stop

Yelp
Denver front range cyclists! This is the perfect spot after your climb - un café et un pain au chocolat.

Jannette B.

Yelp
Overrated tourist trap! Fancy name but overall coffee no better than Folgers. I ordered hot coffee that came cold and when I mentioned it they responded in a very aloof manner and said their machine must have malfunctioned. They offered a hot with espresso but I didn't want that and they just walked away. They didn't offer to make fresh coffee or refund money. The pastries were just ok at best. Overall very poor experience and poor service. Very limited menu choices. Overall would not recommend.

Yelp
Very few bakery items available unless you want a coffee or a $10 small tart. Had every intention of patronizing this business but its very pricey.

Marlene G.

Yelp
Great location and inviting space. Service was friendly, helpful, efficient and cheery. The quality of the offerings was high and worth driving or pedaling from Golden, Genessee and farther. The pain of chocolat (chocolate croissant) was yummy and espressos dark and rich. We were disappointed in the size of two key menu items: the croissant was less than half the size of any we have ever seen in the US or for that matter France. (In addition it wasn't flakey nor buttery.) The amount of coffee in the cappuccino was about that of a single espresso with dbl the height in foam. We'll certainly give them another try in a couple of weeks to try a (hopefully enlarged) croissant and cappuccino.

Ja H.

Yelp
Very unfriendly place to cyclists or any other athletes such as runners. They will charge you for water even if you have an emergency situation. My experience was I wanted to buy a pastry and didn't even want to use their bathroom in exchange for that, but I wanted water without being charged, and they told me no, not unless I paid for it. They are obviously transplants to Colorado and don't understand what it's like to be one of us in the Lookout Mountain community.

Chip K.

Yelp
Stopped in during a ride for a baguette and croissant and both were fantastic, as well as the service. Really looking forward to seeing this bakery succeed -- we plan on being regular customers!

Tori N.

Yelp
Stopped by for coffee and breakfast while exploring the area. Amazing food and great coffee! Wonderful host and bakery. Felt very authentic. Also had an area outside for our dogs with a water bowl. Will definitely come again!

Margaret C.

Yelp
Fabulous French coffees, pastries, and bread. Such a great location for anyone hiking or cycling on Lookout Mountain. I plan to stop there as often as possible!
