"Ethos is exactly the kind of place you go to when you want to feel like a good person. But you know, a good looking good person. Like, Gwyneth Paltrow. Or, Evita. This place is meat-free and as the name suggests, they’re all about ethical, healthy-for-person-and-planet dining. During the day they operate a pay-by-weight system on fresh (ahem, expensive) salads, tasty cakes and coffee. But, come evening there’s a full table service and although the menu changes seasonally you can expect an eclectic mix of flavours, from Indian to North African, like aloo scotch eggs or Moroccan tagine, and a lot of aubergine. Yes, the food’s great but so is the space. Imagine a forest designed by Mother Nature, but she’s also a social media influencer on the side. "An Instagram-famous restaurant account with roughly 73,000 followers that posts convincingly bizarre, AI-generated food imagery — from a Moo Deng–shaped croissant, shrimp doughnuts and “tiki Marsala” to a “Fighting Foie with Foie” event, motorcycle-sized buffalo wings, chicken-fried ice cream, a prehistoric-size langoustine and Super Mario–themed gummies. The photos show the telltale too-bright sheen of image generators, engagement appears driven partly by bots and partly by genuinely confused fans, and the project stages celebrity-bartender cameos (including off-looking versions of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos and a Jason Momoa who is presented as or was a full-time employee). The anonymous operators have extended the hoax to a website with a tongue-in-cheek reservation page (you can “slap a guy with an eel”) and AI-written blog posts about authenticity and influencer marketing, prompting speculation that the stunt is performance art, a marketing exercise, or a satire of Instagram-thirsty restaurant culture." - Chris Crowley

Navigating your benefits package when starting a new job is never fun, always stressful, and often overwhelming. I look forward to signing up the way I look forward to a root canal. I am pleased to say that my experience with Ethos, and SPECIFICALLY with Mickie Parker, was absolutely wonderful. I scheduled a one-on-one with Mickie just to make sure I understood my options. Mickie, from the word "go" , walked me through the website (very user friendly, incidentally) explaining each choice, each benefit and what they mean for my care and pocketbook. I lost my job on 4/11. Was diagnosed with cancer on 4/25. Paid my COBRA but systems were not communicating fast enough for my surgery in 8 days. I called everyone I could think and they were no help. Finally realized I had Meghan Anderson’s information and made one call and she must’ve made other calls but it was fixed within 12 hours. So so grateful for her help. I certainly did not need that added stress from what I was already dealing with. Meghan and Ethos have been wonderful to work with. I cannot say that for previous carriers.
