Ethos Wine Bar & Bistro

We enjoyed the full spread charcuterie and cheese board with hot honey. Beautifully presented and yummy. The BODEGAS IZADI, RIOJA, SPAIN dark silky tannins, black fruit full-bodied is absolutely delicious. We were happy with the whole experience.

The entree we ordered was a "wagyu beef pigs-in-a-blanket" decorated with caviar on top. In my opinion this should be an appetizer and not an entree. You get 4 mini hotdog looking Wagyu beef bites wrapped in phyllo dough. There are no veggies, chips, or anything else. The salad, had sesame seeds sprinkled on cantaloupe, did not love that texture, not the humongous chunks of blue cheese on the salad, they were not crumbles. Dressing was too acidic. Service was good. I preferred the previous restaurant that used to be in the same location a few years ago. I think Nantucket has more to offer for the same price many other places.

This place is 10/10. The vibe is similar to a speakeasy. The service was so friendly and welcoming and drinks were fantastic. We came by for a drink and stayed for a few more. Loved the ‘Flying High’ (their name for a Paper Plane). If you’re looking for THE spot for a cocktail, this is it 🍹

Everything was incredible! Great wine! Mock tails were excellent! Knowledgeable & friendly staff! Food was absolutely delicious! So much attention to details! Can’t wait to go back!

Great spot to stop for drink before or after diner… Drink: imaginative versions of classic cocktails - hootenanny is fantastic Service: friendly, welcoming, acknowledged and order taken w/ 5 min of walking in even though busy and had to stand waiting for space at table or bar to open up. Atmosphere: super cool… from moment you stooped to enter through the 2/3 door int the basement. :-)

Ethos has the most effortless feeling of luxury that a semi-underground bar can have. The wait staff was attentive, the quick pick wine list was comprehensive, and the ambiance was impeccable. Make sure to get the window seats for a street level view of the bustle of town.

The perfect wine bar. Great vibe, staff, menus. Our favorite place on Nantucket. A++ The cantabrian anchovies are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten- exquisite in their simple preparation.

Best start to finish meal I've had in a minute. Gracie is a gem. Every recommendation she had was perfection. Grab the corner seats at the bar. Start with the tuna. End with the cookie. Order everything else between. 10 stars.

As the sign on the bar suggests, we found "real" serendipitous joy here. Happened upon this bar after walking around town post-dinner. Drinks are great and a lively, friendly atmosphere.

Lovely new wine bar that we stumbled across. They've got a great wine list (of course). I really enjoyed the Beaujolais which was nice and tart. The cheese and meat board was sizable to share as a light lunch for four of us. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, and tastefully decorated for the fall/winter. Check it out!

A storm came in and it was windy and raining sideways all afternoon into the evening and we were wet and miserable most of the day. A post dinner visit to this little gem helped us end the evening on a positive note. There were no places to sit when we got there and the initial person who "greeted" us was a bit snobby but the lady who took care of us the rest of the evening was fantastic. We had the window seats and loved that we could people watch. She did offer us a table but we were happy where we were. Would have preferred having dinner here and if I make it back to the island I am definitely heading back to this place where you need to watch your head to get in or out :)

I was looking for a place to get a cheese plate and a glass of wine. I found this adorable dark and charming downstairs restaurant when another place was too busy. I feel so lucky to have been guided to the better restaurant! The radishes and butter were fresh. The cheeses plate could not have been more perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Nantucket. Will stop by next time for dinner.

Stopped in this wine bar for a last drink before catching the ferry home. Could not recommend this place enough. We got the first two white wines on the menu, the Le Battistelle and the Alain Robert, both were fantastic but the Alain Robert was our favorite. The bartenders were so friendly and we were obsessed with the decor. We sat at the counter facing the windows, which was lined with fresh flowers. Hopefully will make it back here someday!

Good spirits, awesome space. I love that it's kind of below street level. It adds to a darker, more intimate atmosphere. I've only ever sat at the bar. Excellent service and food is light, a perfect complement to whatever drink you're having. Their espressotini is my favorite on Nantucket.

Superb menu in combination with staff and atmosphere makes it a go to. Will be back for sure

Incredible new wine bar in town that just opened in April. Bar has a neighborhood feel where the staff and other customers all know you. The wine list is interesting and everything we tried is delicious. You can come here for a quick snack or a full dinner if you please. We met one of the owners Gracy who was super friendly and fun to talk to. Overall a perfect new place in town to come for a cocktail, glass of wine, light snack or dinner.

Wow, first to review this new, cool spot in town. Started by the former team at Cru, Ethos offers a curated wine and cocktail menu with a full dinner menu. The ambiance is relaxed though with an energetic vibe. The service is attentive but not overbearing and you can tell the team loves what they're doing. We loved all the wines and snacks we tried. Come here for a drink, snack, dinner or just to shoot the you know what with the team.
