My husband and I ate here for the first time. I had the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and he had a Cowboy burger. Both of them were very good. Neither came with fries. Those have to be ordered separately. For the price point, they should come with a small side of fries. We ordered a small and shared. Overall, a good experience and we will go back.

Wow, ETX Brewing Company really impressed us! They brew a wide variety of beers in-house, and you can taste the craft in every sip. We stopped by on a hot day for a cold beer and ended up staying longer than planned. The staff was super friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations and even letting us sample a few brews before deciding. We ordered the brined wings and the Three Pigs snack—both were flavorful and hit the spot perfectly with the drinks. The wings had just the right balance of seasoning, and the Three Pigs was a fun, meaty shareable. The beer list is extensive, with something for everyone, from hoppy IPAs to smooth stouts and everything in between. The vibe inside is laid-back and lively, with good music and a fun crowd. Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a relaxed place to hang out, ETX is a great pick. It’s definitely a spot we’ll return to when in the area again. Bonus points for the welcoming atmosphere and attention to detail in both drinks and food!

Google
ETX Brewing has potential, but right now it feels like more style than substance. The highlight of the visit was, without question, the staff, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. I also appreciated the ability to choose from two flight sizes, which made sampling a variety of beers easy and approachable. Unfortunately, the beer selection didn’t quite match the vibe. A few brews stood out, particularly the Dunkel and the 1846, but those were the exceptions. The tap list leaned too heavily into niche, boutique-style beers that felt more experimental than refined. The Mexican lager was decent, but that’s hard to get wrong. The stouts were underwhelming, light-bodied and lacking depth, and the Black IPA felt confused, unsure of what it wanted to be. Skull Blossom was the biggest disappointment, though it may have been the end of the keg. The food didn’t redeem the visit. I ordered the chicken nuggets, great sauce, especially the ranch, but the meat was fatty and unappealing. For the price, it missed the mark. ETX has a great location and strong staff, so I’d give it another shot down the line, hopefully when the tap list is a bit more balanced.

Google
Wonderful selection of beers, good eats and a very chill vibe. By far the Brickstreet Blonde is the most flavorful TX blonde that I've had. My wife went with the Red Gael, which was also very tasty. Was completely surprised they have a brunch menu. We went with the breakfast sandwich and the migas, both were delightful!

Michael Fleming

Google
Had a blast here for a couple hours with friends. Fantastic beer selection and the staff were helpful in picking beers out for a couple flights. Big variety to make any beer drinker happy. We ate off their brunch menu and everything we ordered was delicious. Big open space for hanging with a crew of friends of any size.

Google
We stopped in here for the first time. Our food order: Patty Melt, Sweet Meat Burger Special and Waffle Fries. Our drink order: ETX Blonde Beer and a Dry Cider. Excellent! Fast and correct orders, and tasted fresh. You must try their Sweet Potato waffles fries. The Yum Yum sauce on the Patty Melt was perfection! Live music.

Google
We’ve been here several times and have always walked out happy. Staff is nice and very knowledgeable with all the craft beers. We’ve brought the kids to play pool and they loved it. Typical bar food but really good. Fried pickles were great along with the burgers. 🍔

Google
The entire time I was in the building, I felt very welcomed and encouraged to check out more than just the food. When I decided to ask about the craft beers on their menu, the nicest, most energetic young lady exploded with her knowledge about the menu, and even more about the craft beers. I honestly thought she could’ve been a manager, or atleast one in training! If you’re looking for somewhere to actually enjoy your meal and time. This place is everything! Whatever you do ask for KIM she’s AMAZING!

Yelp
The ambiance is nice with a warehouse brewery feel fries were crispy, however $12 for a chicken club sandwich that looked to be worth about half that was disappointing. Especially when the fries and drink cost extra. The bread was mushy, there was not much chicken, and overall just tasted average. After seeing the high ratings this place receive I was hoping for a more appetizing meal.

Yelp
Food was great. Vibe was really cool for a family experience. The wait was kind of long but if you had a beer to drink you would have been fine with it. Come enjoy this place and make them busy beyond belief!

Yelp
Nice find during a trip to see family in Tyler. The kids both got the hot honey crispy chicken sandwich, and I got the double cheeseburger. They loved the chicken sandwich, and their fries had a great seasoning. My burger was pretty good. The meat was a little tough but the taste was great. And the tater tots were outstanding. The table and chairs felt a little dirty and a couple of our chairs were wobbly, but overall this was an excellent experience. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions. The place was big and welcoming with games to play and a cool vibe. We'll be back.

Yelp
Lunch time! He wanted a pub. The table ordered BLT, fried pickles and two salads. I requested romaine ( not a fan of mixed weeds) and the only thing I don't care for is cheddar cheese on a house salad. The other salad was a Caesar and that too had cheddar cheese? With Italian dressing? But I did order a hard lemonade ( homemade) yummy . The food was good and the service was impeccable. But the highlight for this visit was the homemade cinnamon ice cream. "butter my biscuits!" This shiz was fantastic! They are a brewery so IPA's galore. Along with ciders. Burgers and BBQ. Next time.

Yelp
Shopping in Tyler and wanted something that wasn't a chain. Stopped here. At first confused when we walked in where to look for a menu or a place to sit. They had big parties that took all the tables, but we found one next to the claw machine which was annoying because kids were playing it and it was right at my elbow. Also the kids were playing with the pool table. I found a menu on line but when I turned around the cashier was giving my husband a menu. I ran up there and he had ordered a pulled beef sandwich with fries. Our buzzer went off and my husband went up and got the two trays of food. Appearance wise not very impressive but the French fries were fresh looking and they were nice and hot. The sandwich filling was a bit stingy, but it was delicious. A little too much jalapeños not enough bbq sauce. But that's my preference. Hubby had a couple of beers and each one was nice and cold and pretty delicious. We may come back next time in Tyler.

Yelp
True East Texas Hospitality, Great Service and people, good beer (great selection) and good food. Easy parking and in and out. Try it you'll love it..

Timothy R.

Yelp
Atmosphere and staff were really nice. Didn't have a beer but I assume they are good. We went there for food and the food was mediocre. Boneless wings(small and overly crunchy), onion rings, patty melt, Chicken wrap, chicken salad, mac n cheese and queso was all ordered for our party of 4. Nobody thought it was good.
google avatar

Rebecca F.

Yelp
Great place to hang out for great beer and food. Can't remember the name of the beer we had, but both were good - if you can't decide what beer you want, they give you samples to try. Had the ultimate nachos, and they were so good. Would definitely recommend it.

Russ M.

Yelp
First of all the good - the place is very cool place to hang and have a beer. The beer selection was terrific and the ones that we had were outstanding. Now the not so good, we both had burger and neither one of us would place this in the top 1/2 of burgers we've had. The meat didnt have a lot of taste and seemed dry (it may not have enough fat content). The bacon on my burger was 100% fat and not crispy at all. May come back but it' would be to have a beer and maybe try and app.

Yelp
3 stars for food, 4 for atmosphere. Was there with a group on trivia night, lots of fun! This is an order at the counter, get a pager, come back and grab your food kind of place. I had a buffalo chicken wrap that was good, but the seasoned fries were great. It was busy, but food still came out quickly and there was never a long line to order food or beer. Lots of picnic tables outside for nice nights, would come back for trivia or to just hang out with friends.

Yelp
Went to two breweries in Tyler with our dogs and this was our favorite spot. There's a section that connected to the building, that's covered with shade and fans. Beer selection was good. Burgers were good. Service was great.

Andrew E.

Yelp
Great food and very nice staff!! They had a farmers market going on in their parking lot, great selection. I'm a Bud Light fan, most breweries give me a hard time when I tell them what I like. They gave me two different beers to try, they are both great!! We will be back a lot!

Alexa W.

Yelp
It was not busy when we went at about 5 PM on a Thursday. The food was delicious. My husband and I shared the BBQ mac and cheese fries and the patty melt. Plenty left for a to-go box, too! Good music was playing. We weren't there for a live show, but it seems like it would be a great place to listen to live music! My husband enjoyed his beer flight, too! He loved the Mexican beer with tajin and lime.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Took our doggie and sat outside. Great misting fans and shade. Food was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend the chicken sandwich! The staff was friendly and food came out quick!

Yelp
Fun atmosphere Fun events Good local brew The food was better when Nathan R was there but still not bad. Service is on the slow side but friendly most of the time.
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
Great spot for local brews.. Fried pickles were hot, crispy and just the right kick. Skip the chicken club though. Flimsy, soggy and bland. Service was just fine and we like the community tables.
google avatar

Krystal M.

Yelp
The Porch has good vibes. The food was delicious. The burgers and fries were great portions. The beer was flavorful. Service was super quick. The employees were kind.

Wyatt P.

Yelp
Have been going to this gem for over a year now and have never had a bad experience. Food is great, service is outstanding, and the uniqueness of their burgers keeps you wanting more. Amongst my top favorites are the Cowboy burger and their new Jammer. Just tried the Jammer burger today and WOW! Great food at very reasonable prices.

Yelp
What a great place! I have a new student attending Tyler Junior College and was looking for a place for lunch while he was finishing up orientation. I went during lunchtime, and although there was several people in front of me, service was quick and efficient. My burger was tasty, but huge, so take a friend to help you out! The fries were delicious, and there was a great mix of the business crowd and younger people and students studying while having lunch. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Quick stop for dinner and a brew and it ended up being trivia night. This place is huge for a large group to meet up and enjoy a night out.

Linda M.

Yelp
Very disappointing after such good reviews on Yelp. Location was okay but food was terrible - cold fries, tough chicken, soggy toast. Service was disorganized (we watched our food do a tour of the restaurant and outside bar before they figured out it was ours). Expensive for the quality. Surprised to see so many little kids - I'm sure the pool table was torn up by the time they got through!
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome place to chill and have some local brew and great grub! Live music on Friday and Saturday nights!
google avatar

Lorne W.

Yelp
Passing through town on a Saturday and stopped here for lunch. First time and chose this place because it had the best Yelp reviews of all the restaurants that were open for lunch. Thank you Yelpers for the recommendation. The burgers and sides were delicious, as was the brewery beer. The clientele was local, the service was friendly, and the decor was trendy. If I lived there I would be a regular.
google avatar

Lobo B.

Yelp
Had the Cowboy burger which was very good. I would've even used more jalapeño. Also, had the onion rings which in my opinion were overcooked. But, the stout beer I had was very good. If not for the drive back to Dallas, I would've over-indulged. The Ambiance was tailored to the dog which was segregated to the outdoors.
google avatar

Matthew A.

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing service. The patty melt was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. Worth stopping in and grabbing a burger and maybe a pack of beer to go.
google avatar

Rhiannon T.

Yelp
So great! The atmosphere is just wonderful, beer is good, food is AMAZING! Great spot for your first stop in Tyler! Running the Rose tomorrow!

R T.

Yelp
They have a good selection of craft beers and offer samples to help you find the best option. The Beer Brat was great. It paired very well with the Octoberfest brew.. Also the fried okra was great. My wife had sweet potato waffle fries and they were great also. They service was fantastic.
google avatar

Kaitlyn M.

Yelp
I had the honey hot chicken sandwich and it was so delicious! The fries were seasoned so well. My mom got the nachos and loved them too. The outdoor seating was so nice and cool even on a hot day. Definitely worth a try.
google avatar

Crystal R.

Yelp
Lunch date, day drinking?? Yes please!! From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were chillin at a friend's house. Good food, good drinks, good people. We had the Rio Burger, Hangover Burger, and #7&11 on tap. Everything was great! We will be back and bringing company!
google avatar

Scott C.

Yelp
Three stars is being generous. I sampled 4 beers and just picked one to not be a problem. Beers seemed thin and bland. Food menu is very limited which can be ok if you just want a burger. Service was acceptable but attendant was not very knowledgeable about beer. Inside dining room is small. Outside is fine but seating is shoulder to shoulder when busy. Outside is right on the roadway in the heart of downtown. Good "homemade" ice cream and cookies. I asked for tater tots to be well done but they weren't. Had the patty melt with some changes and was done accurately but more bread to meat.
google avatar

Regina G.

Yelp
Everything was really good very friendly staff. Although they don't do table Service they did bring our food To the table. We all had different things and everything was good I will definitely come back whenever I visit my son in Tyler he's away at college.
google avatar

Jamie B.

Yelp
Loved this place! Amazing service! Great food and awesome beer choices! Burgers amazing and Mac n cheese was awesome. Salads were fresh and good! If I lived in Tyler this would be my spot!
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
Finally got down to The Porch and really enjoyed it. We all got something different as sampled. Enjoyed the Porch Burger with Sweet Potato fries and the kids loved their Mac and Cheese. Would recommend and will gladly return.
google avatar

Tina M.

Yelp
Food is wonderful. They atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. Very chill way to spend an evening with friends.
google avatar

Gerald T.

Yelp
Too much to say here. Live local bands, good food and a HUGE selection of beers made on site. The waitstaff were excellent as well. A good stop if you're in Tyler Texas.

Vivian S.

Yelp
Good food and pleasant staff. Love the option to sit outside when it's good weather too!
google avatar

Lindsey B.

Yelp
Me and my partner ate here today and loved it! I had the burger and she had the chicken sandwhich, both were great. And their fries are to DIE for! Super awesome and friendly staff, especially the cashier we had today. Will definitely be back when we're down there.

Taiya C.

Yelp
It took over an hour to get 2 very simple food items. Had the counter person let us know of the massive backup in the kitchen we would have opted out. I had a crispy chicken sandwich. $13. A cold bun, a fairly sized piece of decently fried chicken breast, a drizzle of sauce and 3 thin pickle slices. That's it. No lettuce, no cheese, nada. There were some bland fries tossed on the aluminum tray beside the sandwich. Zero flavor whatsoever. This business seems to be confused as to who they want to appeal to. The place was filled with kids. Filled. There is a lower section, perhaps dedicate that area to families or just change the name to Chuck-E-Cheese's. An important note: The Porch is somewhat separate from the ETX Brewery, whose beer is excellent.
google avatar

Mario P.

Yelp
This place is great! The staff is always fun to be around and their food is so good! The fried green beans are amazing. Great burgers and even better beer selection. I will be back again.

Yelp
The ETX Sampler with Wisconsin cheese curds, fried green beans and fried onion/jalapenos is AMAZING. I'm extremely picky but I could eat nothing but the fried green beans and be happy - they are better than any I've ever had ANYWHERE. I ordered a burger with bacon, which was amazing but a bit "rare" for my liking. I'm not knocking them for that though because my fiance ordered for me and who knows how he told them to cook it. (Disclaimer, I'm a well-done burger person). We also ordered two kid meals - they both got mac & cheese with fries. This isn't Kraft mac & cheese - if it isn't homemade, they disguise it WELL. It's super creamy and a really great sized portion (my three year old couldn't finish hers, my eight year old did but said she was FULL). The coolest part of the kids meal is that, instead of a tray, they serve it on an upside down Frisbee. The girls didn't realize this and were tickled to find out their "surprise". A few general notes -- there is a free parking garage just a few blocks down from the restaurant, as well as some street parking but we had to walk a little ways (nothing to complain about, but just trying to be thorough with my review!). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, and when I needed to make some dietary substitutions, they had great suggestions. When eating out as a family of four, we typically try to be thrifty - this was definitely a "splurge" meal for us. Two burgers, two kid meals and four drinks cost $60. However, the food was great, the atmosphere is awesome, and we had an awesome night out. We will definitely be eating here again, if not just for the fried green beans!

Ken H.

Yelp
BEWARE!!!! This establishment adds a 18% tip to your total even when you select no tip. This is a self service restaurant yet adds a tip without the customers consent. Luckily my credit card company notified me when the total has changed or I would have never known.

Yelp
A year ago we were in Tyler for several days and had a great time at ETX Brewing. The one thing we said at the time was "It would be great if they had some type of food." Little did we know that the construction next door was the beginning of a delicious addition to the Brewery. The Porch at ETX was our stop for dinner this year, and it was great to be able to enjoy Mac and Cheese Fries and tasty Sliders with their great selection of ETX Brewing beers. We finished up with the Pecan Bread Pudding which was topped with a generous scoop of local ice cream. The atmosphere is family friendly with games and live music on the calendar. Everyone we spoke with was welcoming and friendly. We will definitely visit again when we return to Tyler.

Mary C.

Yelp
Their burgers are so tasty, cooked to perfection and the buns melt in your mouth! Loved the French fries as well, and their IPA's were good!
google avatar

Stevie K.

Yelp
Good vibes in both atmosphere and staff. Although the food is good, it's a bit pricey if you ask me.

Mollie W.

Yelp
Amazing caso! friendly people! the two ladies at the front were so sweet and kind. good food! over all 11/10
google avatar

Steven D.

Yelp
Food was good staff was great but when you have a name like "the porch" I expect a lot of atmosphere and the food to be memorable. The burgers are good and messy but I ate there a week ago and can't remember anything that would bring me back.
google avatar

Brad C.

Yelp
Great place for burgers and beer. Lots of American food options and a very friendly establishment. Some community benches near brewery. I had some nachos as a snack and my friend got a cheeseburger. The chips here are really fresh and great salsa. Parking is a little tough especially when there are events going on. Service was good though. Overall I recommend this place if you just want some down home burger and beers. Nice escape with good beer in Tyler. Unexpected.
google avatar

Ashley O.

Yelp
Fun friendly atmosphere and exceptional service. The Stout is amazing, full bodied with great flavor. We had the cheese curds and fried green beans from the starter menu, and neither of us were disappointed. Will definitely go back!

Michael Y.

Yelp
Okay while writing this review i'm trying to keep in mind that this is more of a bar and they specialize in brewing, but I couldn't help but notice that almost all of the items on the menu are a bit more expensive than I deem they deserve to be. I ordered the "nashville chicken sandwich" hoping that i'd get at least a face fulls worth of a sandwich (which is what anyone would expect paying $11 without a side). The sandwich was underwhelming in fact I was really disappointed. It was pitched to be very tasty as I read on the menu but to my likings I found that the chicken sandwich was hard, not the buns, the chicken itself. I honestly just felt like I could've made everything on the menu myself from home and it would've turned out better. Id say save the money, you'd find that this is mostly just glamorized school or cafeteria food. I understand it is a small business but I felt a lack of concern when it came to insuring that the customers had what they needed, there was no check backs at all. In fact I waited in line for over 6 minutes waiting for a side or ranch. All I can say is go to jack N box if you'd like a chicken sandwich, they are more bigger for the price!
