Great place!! The deserts are next level. We had a piece of pecan pie, peanut butter pie, and probably one of the best apple pie’s I have ever had. Two people could easily split one slice of any of them. Must go to place if you’re in the area. And the bar is a small, well stocked cool place as well. A lot of options, and great service.

Google
Great atmosphere. Steaks were ok but dry and not worth the money. Got the filet and peppercorn ny stripwhich. The shrimp appetizer was amazing. Dessert was good and a really cool definitely worth the experience of going to a separate dessert room. The gluten free chocolate cake was the best my wife ever had.

Service is some of the best I have ever had on vacation. My roasted duckling was great and my wife's grouper was delightful. The real treat was the dessert bar upstairs. Best banana creme pie I've ever had.

Old rustic ambience. Food cooked to quality perfection. Veal Marsala must try if you’re a veal fan. Service was impeccable. The restaurant is house made into a restaurant. It’s down a little tiny road. Very interesting. There is a parking lot and barely no sign telling you it’s even a restaurant. On the upper floor of the house there is a bakery that makes homemade desserts, yum. Two separate checks. We had a very unique experience. We will definitely return in the future.

5 Stars! A Gem of Longboat Key! Nestled upstairs, The Haye Loft offers a funky and fun atmosphere that stands out as the best vibe on Longboat Key. It's not just a dining spot; it's an experience. The desserts, housemade daily, are a bountiful delight with the chocolate cake, peanut butter pie, and brownies deserving a special mention! The magic of the place is further enhanced by Georgette, who not only provides insightful tours and history of the restaurant but also guides patrons through the tempting dessert options at the dessert bar. The service is nothing short of excellent, carried out by seasoned servers whose tenure spans years, and sometimes, decades. This continuity of staff adds a layer of warmth and familiarity to the service that is rare to find. In summary, The Haye Loft is not just about great food; it's about the magical experience that begins the moment you step in. This place should have 5 stars. Our orders: Shrimp Rolls Hummus Cesar Salad Peppered Steak Blacked Shrimp + Dessert

Love this place. Food always delicious. Staff very friendly. Must go upstairs for the deserts room experience.

What a classic place to eat! It reminds me of the supper clubs we have back in Wisconsin. My wife had the Key Lime Grouper and it was amazing! I tried their famous Pepper Steak. I typically prefer a buttery filet mignon so this Pepper Steak with its peppery crust and brandy butter was a very nice diversion from the norm. I’m not sure I would choose it again next time over trying their fillet but it was very good. After dinner we went upstairs to the Haye Loft. What a great bar/dessert room. It is the perfect way to finish the evening after a great meal.

We went in early December on a weeknight, we made a reservation, it turned out. It wasn’t really that busy, about half full perhaps. We were seated immediately at an intimate table near the window in the far room room. Very quaint dining room. Formal. Our waiter was very attentive. We got a bottle of wine. It was a small kitchen out in the dining room, where they would prepare Caesar salad and some flambé dishes. My wife’s cousin recommended this place, the duck was highly recommended, I had it, and it was absolutely delicious. After dinner, we went upstairs to the separate dessert room and got a great presentation on the desserts that they had that night. I had the Keylime pie. It was delicious. A little Baileys on the rocks has a nightcap.

Yelp
First time visiting Longboat Key and this place did not disappoint. Longtime, neighborhood restaurant, got to meet the new owner which has done a great job of keeping the original appeal. White table cloth and deep wine list add to the Florida keys, eclectic vibe. The chef accommodated a picky child and did an off menu substitution - super nice and much appreciated. The grouper special with the tomato basil oregano sauce was light and definitely bread dip worthy to clean the plate! We also had the red snapper with pistachio crust was fantastic too. The filet mignon cooked to just right and was thick and juicy. Was told the Caesar salad was the same recipe and same guy making it from 1977 - old school, hint of anchovy - one of the best I've had. One unique part is the desserts. If interested, they bring you upstairs to the Loft bar and seating area to review the dessert options - wow! All made in house and we bellied up to 7 different choices (there were 6 of us) - pecan, key lime, peanut butter chocolate, banana crème, brownie ala mode, coconut crème and a chocolate ganache all sampled in a wine box paneled, wood heavy, throw back loft space. My favorite was the peanut better choc, lite but very rich tasting. Had to take my time savoring each. My one slight 'huh' moment was regarding the pasta that came with the shrimp scampi dish - several large clumps of stuck together pasta. I didn't let it detract from the meal as overall though. Will definitely come back and recommend to anyone.

Yelp
A terrific dinner and overall experience! Started upstairs at the bar for a terrific espresso martini by the bartender Jhon. He is a true professional. He recommended that we have dinner in the flambé room, which was a great recommendation. We first ordered escargot, which was perfect. Then their house-special Caesar salad, which was fantastic. I ordered another house-specialty, the pepper steak and that was cooked to perfection. They also make a fantastic old-fashioned. This was my first time at Euphemia Haye and it was absolutely worth it. Sorry I waited so long, but I will absolutely be back soon.

Yelp
I had not been to Euphemia Haye for several years and was incredibly disappointed in my prix fixe meal tonight. I ordered the salad and requested blue cheese dressing, which the waitress advised was available. The salad arrived with no apparent dressing and a small a amount of Gorgonzola cheese. The shrimp scampi was oily, watery and had an overwhelming acidic taste. I asked the waitress to describe the brownie. There was no mention of ice cream. It arrived with a large scoop of ice cream. I'm not a fan of ice cream on brownies, but was able to push it aside. Was amazed to find a $10 upcharge for the Gorgonzola with no dressing on the salad as well as the ice cream. This was not a good experience and doubt that I will ever return.

Yelp
This place is a local gem Highly recommend for any special occasion! Make a reservation via OpenTable. Our 2nd visit to Euphemia Haye was just as lovely as the first! Maybe even more special since the staff went above & beyond to shower my MIL for her 60th birthday. (Shout out to our server, David). The food was exquisite & all 4 of us ordered a different dish: Key West Snapper Lamb Shank Peppered Steak Veal du Jour We were lucky to be seated in the back room where we had a nice view of the sous chef station (where the peppered steak topping and salads are prepared). And of course we ended the evening upstairs in the dessert loft. The birthday girl's prayers were answered when we learned there was fresh coconut cream pie in the bakery case. It's a simple touch, but you should absolutely order the French Press coffee if you have a chance- served in a personal coffee press. Every dessert was scrumptious as always.

Yelp
Stopped in for after dinner dessert and loved their banana cream pie! Love the 'old school' 1980's decor of the place. Really personable bar tenders upstairs. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Love coming here! It's a stable for my family on LBK. Must order: Caesar salad, pate, fried tomatoes, the pepper steak, and the key west snapper. Plus most nights they have great specials too! They had a special the night with mashed potatoes and they were unreal (they added them to the regular menu). Bonus: after dinner go upstairs at haye loft for dessert and an after drink cocktail - bartenders Sam and J-hon feels like home - they're the best!

Yelp
To be fair, the service and ambiance was great. Otherwise, I don't get it. After all the hype from friends and after reading all the 5 star reviews I had high expectations for an amazing dinner experience. I was totally disappointed. My wife and I shared a caesar salad, which was fine, with the exception that they charges us a $4 sharing charge. My wife order the pistachio crusted snapper which she loved. I ordered the pepper steak, huge mistake. The sauce over powered the dish and the steak was tough. I also did not like the pepper, for $59 I would have expected a top quality pice of steak. The mashed potatoes was the best thing I eat. We had a total of 2 well cocktails and the bill was $200, don't mine price for a quality meal. For me they missed the mark. OPOR

Yelp
Delicious desert offerings in a very peaceful location. We only had desert upstairs but look forward to trying this place for dinner sometime.

Yelp
Not great. This is a place that has a long history they try hard but I just don't think it's very good compared to other options

Yelp
Very unique place, very. Difficult to get to from the mainland. Quirky somewhat difficult menu for some - they need more fish options, or healthier choices. I love the menu, my wife has not been happy the past few times we've been. Minus one star I guess... Every single time, every time, the service is excellent. Ambiance... ambiance is the best part of this venture-road trip to get here from the mainland. Well worth the trip if for nothing else. Interesting but small bar first floor, the main dining rooms are set up in two sections on the first floor, upstairs bar seriously cool, you can spend hours here losing track of time. Then we get to the dessert room on the second floor. Mind boggling. You have to see it to believe it. We have been coming here for years on and off - but for Thanksgiving, it's been a tradition since 2008, only missing three years since then to be with family in Boston. I absolutely love the menu, lots of different items you will not see anywhere else with all of the commercialization of restauranting in the United States anymore. This is a welcome and needed change and you'll notice this the minute you walk through the door. Give it a try, you'll be transported far, far away from the boring usualality of modern restaurant dining. Actually, added back a star, well worth 5 STARS. Go give it a try, whatever your thoughts after dining, it will be memorable.

Yelp
Not to have your employees cussing continuously while having guests coming through the doors and sitting in the bar area. Employee continuously used the F word and N***r constantly. Makes having a nice dinner uncomfortable.

Yelp
Only had dessert but what dessert it was... Visited in late August which I understand is the "slow season" . They were able to accommodate 8 of us without a wait for dessert and drinks. -Espresso martini....delicious -Bananas foster ...very good -Brownie sundae.... delicious -Warm pecan pie....amazing -coconut cake ...good -chocolate cake...good -chocolate cake with espresso frosting...good (All of the cakes were delicious but a smidge dry. Maybe due to refrigeration?? By no means we're they bad, I just prefer the sponge a bit more moist. A wonderful time! Very cozy with amazing ambiance for a relaxing, laughter filled evening with friends. We'll definitely be back! (I'm getting the pecan dessert next time!)

Yelp
Everything about this place is just amazing! The service, the food and the dessert room upstairs...that is a must for anyone dining there!

Yelp
Having enjoyed another phenomenal meal at Shore, Longboat, we thought stopping by here for dessert would be a treat. We called ahead since it is a small place and they graciously allowed us to stop by. What a time warp circa 1970?? or so.... It struck me as the type of place my grandparents would have thoroughly enjoyed back in the day. Sorry for the low rating but in reality, I go to restaurants to eat and service is a secondary benefit. We were quickly offered a view of the various dessert options on display upstairs. Service was prompt, desserts are $10 minimum and cocktails were $10 to 14 each. We were seated upstairs around the corner from the upstairs bar where I am guessing locals were have a great time. Not many options at this part of the key. Hubby chose the apple pie ala mode and I went with the server's recommendation for the chocolate strawberry layer cake. Although the portions were generous, both were rather tasteless. Quick taste, sip and go. Despite the fun retro atmosphere that included lights in the hanging planters, we will not return. Menu prices quite high and odd dated food options..at least in my opinion.

Yelp
Meh, sat in the Loft upstairs and ordered the moose Pate appetizer, eggplant parmesan, and a salad with chicken on it. None of it was great the eggplant Parmesan was extremely thick and tough. The pate was just ok. The salad was pedestrian. For the prices, it's a total rip-off. This used to be a special place but it has lost something. I would go back just for some cocktails, but the food is definitely not what it used to be. High prices, very mediocre food.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Best food in Sarasota! Interesting creative menu that's well executed. Desserts/bakery could use quite a bit of improvement in terms of flavor/complexity. Would love to see the desserts executed on the same level as the food. Pastry chef's skill level is def much sub par to food served

Lauren S.

Yelp
Arrived a few minutes early for my reservation and seated about 10 minutes later by a hostess who showed us to our table and simply dropped the menus. My mother and I sat for 17 minutes before anyone took our drink order...the bread did come right away. Two tables were seated after we were but received their drinks before our order was even taken. I ordered the Caesar salad and angel hair with shrimp, while my mother ordered the Cannelloni. When my salad arrived, one came for my mother as well- which was not ordered but added to the bill. Dinner arrived and my shrimp was completely overcooked, yet the waiter was nowhere to be found. I tried to get the attention of another waiter and busboy but only received "a look"; the Cannelloni was tasteless. We opted to leave after the main course. When leaving, the hostess was too engaged on her phone to say anything to us. I am not sure if this restaurant is under new ownership/management, but two years ago and prior, it was delicious...

Yelp
Very poor service, mediocre food, especially for the prices. We will not go back - ever!

Jean S.

Yelp
Great food and the desert room is worth the visit. The service is always good and the food is always hot. I love to stop and bring desert home even if we don't have dinner there. It's a beautiful cozy spot on LBK

Steven Z.

Yelp
First and last time we will go to this restaurant. First off, they ran out of fish of the day 15 minutes after they opened for the evening dinner service. I ordered the duck, a dish I was told was their specialty. Well, it was overcooked and dry. The size of the portion was large but there is no excuse for overcooking it. Also, they don't give you any type of side dishes with the entrees, you have to order them separately ala carte. I tried the potato pancakes and they were decent. My wife had the sweetbreads which she could not eat because they were terrible. Tasted nothing like sweetbreads. After being extremely disappointed with dinner, we figured we'd go upstairs and try the desserts. It's hard to mess up desserts right? We tried the peanut butter mousse which was not good. Tasted like it had cream cheese in it. Cinnamon vanilla cake we had was actually very good. The other desserts looked decent. All-in-all, an expensive meal with subpar quality. There are so many better restaurants in Sarasota, so avoid this place.

Mike M.

Yelp
Very poor service, waiter was not understandable. Threw silverware down on the table, which was dirty and not replaced. Ordered NY strip, medium rare, came out extremely rare a full of gristle. NOT a happy Mother's Day, will not return!

Yelp
This is a real stalwart of a restaurant on LBK and a place I have been dining at as a kid and since relocating when I visit family. Food is great with classic dishes. Service is generally good... not Michelin level but the waiters care about your experience. The separate dessert room and bars add to the immersive evening feel of the place. Highly recommend!

Yelp
4.67 overall. 3 of us at Haye Loft for dessert and coffee. French press was good. Apple walnut crumble pie with ice cream was massive enough for 2 rated 4. Pistachio cheesecake a 5.0. Coconut custard pie a 5. We skipped dinner and made dessert the meal. It was a good decision. It had been a number of years since we'd been there. Under new ownership but the place was exactly the same. Upstairs bar menu looks interesting and it's first come first serve there along with a piano player.

Yelp
We had dinner for 2 at Euphemism Haye. We started with the mushroom soup (tonight's special - my spouse called it heavenly), the pate (fabulous) and the shrimp appetizer (pretty good). We had the pistachio snapper (absolutely super) and the duck (very yummy). Added the delicious cauliflower mash to the meal. We then moved upstairs for dessert and had the berries with whipped cream and the pistachio cheesecake - very very good. Not inexpensive at all but prices were appropriate. Staff was knowledgable and friendly. Unsure how some posted pictures show the water from the restaurant.

Yelp
Old fashioned FL restaurant Service was brusque and Not refined They have an established clientele that loves the place. IMO everything is overcooked and unrecognizable from natural state. Fish, shrimp and veggies. You can get that idea from the menu. The pepper steak, a dish they are known for, was very good, I just don't understand why people love that - the pepper taste does not come through. Fried green tomatoes were interesting ,- prob best part of the meal. Good sauce and unusual presentation We went upstairs for dessert, which has maybe 20 diff choices. No delicate hand here - butter, flour , sugar. Fruit taste did not come through in the cobbler. Not my thing. Might suit others

Jelisa B.

Yelp
After 30 plus years of enjoying this restaurant, we will never go back or recommend again. Service was slow. Food was cold lemon blueberry cake old and dry! Waitress gave us attitude after we politely let her know that our food had come out cold after waiting 40 minutes for it to arrive!
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
Delicious! We didn't have reservations but the upstairs bar area was like stepping back in time. Everyone was very friendly and happy... like everyone, it's a vacation area so that might have something to do with it. We just had appetizers and drinks but left full and happy! The fried green tomatoes had a very subtle sweet and sour sauce that was delightful! Bar tender nailed my aperol spritz!

Angel M.

Yelp
Horrible experience with a cockroach! High expectations with the open table reviews and there website, left very very disappointed! Food was overcooked had the duck and pistachio crusted grouper. Presentation of the Duck was plain pecans and apricots thrown on top. Not a white linen worthy restaurant..Service was ok. Left after the cockroach climbed on top of the table onto my glass. So grossed out! Awful ick yuck! And it's sooo loud in there! Worst meal we had on our trip!My open table review hasn't been posted yet but oddly all my other restaurants reviews have posted, so wanted to get this on yelp incase they are hiding mine. Go to Sage SRQ or Dry Dock you won't be disappointed there!

Lydia S.

Yelp
Delicious food, incredible service, and the dessert bar was wonderful! This was our first time here but we'll be back!
google avatar

Debbie N.

Yelp
Diane the upstairs manager/hostess was rude and dismissive to us when we asked to be moved to a bigger table (from a small four top to a larger 4 top). We did not even order dinner because the table was not even big enough for appetizers . On a positive note Billy B was very polite and attentive.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
A quaint, homey feeling little place with an incredible ambiance. From being greeted at the door with a friendly face to having beyond 5 star service from our wonder server Spencer. From his recommendations to his attentiveness he surpassed expectations. He was a pleasure to be around. Each and every food item I tasted was wonderful, surprising and delightful. Extensive wine list as well as full bar. For the finale, head upstairs for the dessert tour and single malt scotch bar. Again, cannot thank Spencer enough for the great service. Wonderful food. Wonderful atmosphere. We will most definitely return.

Pat V.

Yelp
Excellent cuisine, superb Service was great, fresh catch with preparation was exquisite. Well above expectations!

Jenna H.

Yelp
Euphemia Haye has a lovely homely atmosphere, but it is overpriced. The food was delicious, but not worth the money. We went upstairs for the dessert bar, which was very fun. Not all of the desserts were special, but I would definitely go back for the triple berry pie. The espresso chocolate cake and banana cream pie were also good. I don't love the chocolate cake or coconut custard pie.

Adam R.

Yelp
If you're over 90, you'll love this place. Menu from the 80s, weird service, sauces on every meal. It's such a bad restaurant I can't believe it's still so popular. After our dinner of dry but rubbery duck, fish drowning in pink sauce, and $15 salads with store bought croutons, we were ushered upstairs for dessert which is a whole new weird experience. The ambience upstairs is even weirder. This is not fine dining, not fine food. But the prices are insanely high. Avoid. Unless your grandparents are paying and you have no choice.

Sam G.

Yelp
If you want to overpay for mediocre food this is the place to go. Have been there a few times hoping it would be better, but alas. The menu looks good but there are no flavors or taste in their food. The Shrimp Taj Mahal in particular looks and tastes like a curry that someone just plastered together without actually measuring ingredients (or reading a recipe). The last time it came out smelling "shrimpy" and caused me to breakouts on my face (no previous or since allergies btw). Complete let down for the exorbitant price of $42. The duck confit was also dry and served with a couple of slices of apple. Needed some sauce to balance the dry meat. The peppercorn steak was also exactly that. A medium cut of meat lathered with pepper for $55. They will offer to seat you upstairs for dessert. Great gimmick to turn tables for dinner, but dessert portions while huge we're also underwhelming. The chocolate cake couldn't be drier or more stale. At least it tasted so. The wine list is a similar story. The display of explicitly nude women "art" in the men's restroom is also somewhat questionable given the locale and clientele with families. So bottom line - they're trying to be a fine dining experience on LBK with a rustic feel and charging so, but not delivering on the experience or menu at all. Would advise against wasting your time and money at this establishment, as there are far better dining options available that offer superior quality and value.

Paolo C.

Yelp
made a reservation initially with an extremely rude and disinterested person. Called back to change time and a very nice person helped us out. The entire staff was very friendly once we arrived and seated. Very cozy ambiance in the tavern room downstairs and the dessert room upstairs. Food was a bit underwhelming due to portion size and high price.

Gaby P.

Yelp
Lovely decor I felt in a traditional restaurant in France. You are greeted by your own owners and when you sit down the chef welcomes you or he comes in the middle of the dinner to ask you have you feel and that is very typical of sophisticated restaurants. About the food I don't have any complaints I only have good recommendations each plate was perfect too tasty. Same thing with the service kindly people, all recommendations were very very good. The wine list is pretty good and they have a lot wine from Europe (Spain, France). Dessert experience you have to pay the check and then go upstairs to see how many cakes they have! It's unbelievable upstairs!!! Was my second time here and I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant.

Joyce G.

Yelp
Poor service took away from great food. Long wait for service after seated, then apologies from our server and his "manager". You would think we would be better attended to after that but it was not the case. If it hadn't been for another server recognizing our plight and making sure we were taken care of, I wouldn't even give one star. Dining out should be a pleasure not an irritation. Food great but not sure I'll recommend because of poor service.
google avatar

Joey C.

Yelp
Ate there tonight with my wife, sister and brother in law and had the worst service we have ever had. We waited an hour after ordering before our appetizers came. It took longer for drinks to come. Then the second round did not come until AFTER our main courses, and then, only after we complained. We were then charged for things we did not receive. The things we did receive were dry and overcooked. When we brought the foregoing to the attention of the management, they were dismissive. It was terrible.
google avatar

Danielle M.

Yelp
This place is the place for dessert!! Delicious night cap they have all different types of homemade delights to choose from this is a must go to place if you're in the area!
google avatar

Hannah G.

Yelp
Quite disappointing; had high expectations for this restaurant. The vibe and ambiance is nice but that's about it. I like that they start off with banana bread and warm bread. The service however sucks. And the food is not great. My potato pancakes were really good but other than that I'm very disappointed. My steak arrived undercooked and very rare so I sent it back and then it arrived burnt to the taste. Couldn't finish it. Mashed potatoes were okay. Server totally forgot my wine order when everyone else's arrived in a timely manner. Water service is good but they rush you to finish appetizers and entrees. Dessert was pretty good. I had the brownie. Won't be back.

Beth D.

Yelp
This was truly one of the worst experiences we've had in the Sarasota area since we moved here 3 years ago! We received terrible service so poor we called over the manager. He apologized and said he'd check back with us which he never did. We had to ask for every single thing-waiter never even checked back to ask how our food was after he served the main course. The food was mediocre (including the strangest snail appetizer I've ever had and couldn't eat-gave it to my husband who ate it), side dishes that the menu said were large enough for sharing, which they weren't, and sauces that were just strange. We will never return or recommend this restaurant-and the manager should be ashamed of himself.

Yelp
Ran into this little gem on a Thursday night and it was way more than allright. Straight up Outta Site! Great food (pepper steak, ceasar, chicken Florentine and 3 kinds of pie, that's right 3 types Jack), pepper steak was the standout and old school dish, try it with jasmine rice and mix together with the sauce - you got to do it! All other dishes great as well. Had a nice red wine to mix with the meal and couldn't have been better. Service was proper and suberb. Our waiter had been working there for 45 years and gave us a little history on the area which was great. Went up the desert room after and shared a couple pieces of pie with my sweety and then took one home for later. Very cool end to the meal and awesome spot overall.

Yelp
Jan 2, 2024 Euphemia Haye Restaurant , Longboat Key, FL - Our party of three dined at Euphemia Haye on a weeknight right after the New Year. Glancing at the reviews of this restaurant from the past year, we saw that they ranged all over the lot, from 'superb' to 'mediocre' to 'terrible,' with the average rating coming up as a surprisingly positive 4.5. We considered ourselves warned that the restaurant may be resting on its laurels from a high point decades ago, but decided to take a chance anyway. Our consensus after dining there: on a scale of 1 to 5, the quality of the food was just 2, the service was 4 and the atmosphere was 5. We ordered one appetizer (Caesar salad); three entrees - two meats (peppercorn steak and lamb shank) and eggplant parmesan; three sides - cauliflower mash, mashed potatoes and potato pancakes; no dessert; one beer. The bill came to $186.50 excluding tax and tip. Food details: The Caesar salad was good; the peppercorn steak, while not inspiring, was cooked to the requested doneness; both the steak and the lamb shank were a generous size; the eggplant parmesan side was large enough to serve as a main, but flavor-wise, was just OK; the cauliflower mash side was not only not particularly flavorful, it was also completely cold - we asked our waiter to have it heated up; the garlic mashed potatoes were not in the least bit garlicky-tasting, with only a lone piece of garlic spotted on the side of the dish; the potato pancakes were unsatisfactory in flavor, texture and temperature. In fact, out of the six hot dishes we ordered, five were somewhat warm, not hot. We waited for 30 minutes for our entrees after our one Caesar salad was served. All in all, it was not a satisfying culinary experience. We regretfully concluded that Euphemia Haye is indeed resting on its laurels. We will not be back. (Note: We did not indulge in desserts. For anyone wishing for a charming 'Euphemiya Haye experience' without the culinary disappointment, perhaps coming in just to enjoy sweets in the restaurant's upstairs dessert room is a way to 'have your cake and eat it.') Yelp
We have been visiting Longboat Key for nearly 15 years. We, my wife, I and the couple who own the timeshare where we stay, have a bunch of favorite restaurants on the island. So much so, we can't fit them all in during our week's stay. So during this past visit we met up with another couple who now live permanently to the island. They wanted to go to their favorite restaurant, Euphemia Haye. Now this place is walking distance from the timeshare, but we've avoided it in the past due to its notoriously higher prices. But, when in Rome.... Well the prices were a bit higher, but not ridiculously so. And we checked. Their steaks were within 5-10% of the other restaurant on the island. But, it was well worth it. The Caesar salad my wife and I shared, was both, big enough to share, and probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had! My roast duck was really superb, and my wife's filet mignon was super tender and flavorful. And the sides were right on point as well. Two of our table mates had the Peppered Steak, (which I think is their signature dish), and proclaimed it delicious. We ordered both a red and white wine (which may be where the pricey reputation comes from) to accompany our meal, and the service was attentive and professional. Everyone really enjoyed their dinners. All told, the check (pre-tip) came to just a smidge over $100 pp. Certainly not cheap, but I really believe the value was there, and I have no problem paying for value! So I guess we will have to stay a few extra nights next year, to get in all our favorite restaurants!

Yelp
Incredible food, lovely atmosphere and great service. Over the past few months, I've had dinner at Euphemia Haye three times and it's been nothing short of incredible every time. Although slightly pricier than neighboring restaurants, the portion sizes are generous and the quality of food is well worth the price. Appetizers: I'd recommend the gnocchi or the fried green tomatoes. The Caesar salad is also delicious. Entrées: the roasted duck is the best I've ever had, and prepared with a different sauce each night, all of which are delicious. The peppered steak is also not to be missed. Be sure to save some room for dessert and go upstairs to the Haye Loft. One of the most unique experiences that I haven't found anywhere else.

Yelp
You can't go wrong here. Some of the best food on island along side Harry's. Everything on the menu is unique and great. Great service. The peppered steak is one of their best dishes. Upstairs have really good pizza and specials also.

Yelp
This restaurant has been a long for decades and it shows in their decor. It's antique with a splash of industrial and a hint of modern all while keeping it upscale and classy. The food was phenomenal and the service... impeccable. Make sure to tell them you want a table in the dessert room as soon as you arrive so they can reserve you a table. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Great food and service. Upstairs in the Haye Loft for a dessert and/or a nightcap is a must. A Longboat Key classic.
