Eureka! - Review - Mountain View - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The exclamation in Eureka!’s name is a good representation of the fun injected into every element of the dining experience there. Stop in for their very well-priced “Hoppy Hour” and get a massive handle of beer for just $5.50, along with an order of giant fried mac and cheese balls. At dinner, get the Dorito-crusted fried shishito peppers (they’ll temporarily stain your fingers, but it’s worth it), then move on to one of the deliciously unique burgers, like the Fresno fig burger, with fig jam, bacon, and melted goat cheese. If you don’t eat meat (or you just really like vegetables), you’ll appreciate the bright purple crispy veggie beet burger, topped with lemony arugula." - Gabi Moskowitz

The other day my husband and I had fun dining at the bar. The food we ordered was delicious and what made our dining experience even better is ordering cocktails and watching bartender Hank making them. Hank was friendly, attentive, and clearly knowledgeable about cocktails. He was working with energy and professionalism. After asking what we liked, Hank recommended we order Pineapple Tequila Sour and Strawberry Lychee Martini. Both cocktails were spot on delicious! We had fun watching Hank make other cocktails. Here are the pictures. We highly recommend dining at Eureka in Mt. View and ask for bartender Hank. He will not disappoint you!

Service and food were impeccable. Great burguer and fries. The wine options were also great. The music is loud so I do not recommend it for a more than 2 people table. They allow you to change the protein type for the burguer.

Great food and drinks. Went for cocktails and appetizers. Ranking in the order of most liked: 1. Pretzel Bites (10/10!) 2. Fried Pickles 3. Chicken Wings 4. Ahi Stack (would skip on this one)

Eureka!!! It’s a happening gastropub on Castro in sleepy Mountain View!!! Apologies for the gasp, but I’ve been coming to this stretch of cool California for decades, and it’s never been what I call “hip.” But if you’re like me - and traversing the continental U.S. to reach the tech capital of the world, you make do with the limitations. But this Castro Street (not to be confused with the San Fran varietal) has come a long way, baby - and its joints like Eureka that have livened things up. If you’re out and about, I highly recommend sliding into the bar, letting the open doors capture the whimsical valley breezes, and order a tasty burger with a fried egg - always a comforting topper. As a gastropub, you expect draft beer, and Eureka does not disappoint. I had a few sunlit brews in the waning afternoon, and they were crisp local selections that hit the spot. My burger was plush with jalapeño heat, but only half the equation. The fries were otherworldly, providing the perfectly crispy complement to the soft comfort of the handheld. The establishments on Castro are a little “hit or miss” in my opinion. But if you’re sequestered at a Hampton Inn prepping for meetings, I highly suggest a “eureka” moment.

The best bone marrow burger of my life—no exaggeration! I don’t say this lightly: this place served me the best burger I’ve ever had. Every bite was perfection—the patty was juicy and flavorful, cooked just right, with a perfect sear. The bun was soft yet held everything together, and the toppings were fresh and balanced without overpowering the meat. You can tell they care about quality here. The service was friendly and our bartender Tyson made me the best margarita I’ve ever had he was so friendly and helpful. and the atmosphere was relaxed but classy. If you’re a burger lover, this place needs to be on your list. I’m already planning my next visit

Amazing food and drinks here!! The peach sangria was so delicious. We had wings which were spot on and we are picky with our wings. And I had the spicy chicken sandwich, soooo delicious! Our table also got 2 burgers and a salad and all were sooo good. Lots of drinks were had as well! Would definitely go back!

Came here with friends (group of 5) for graduation lunch, ordered the strawberry limeade 5/5. Drinks came within 5 minutes, food took about 10-20 minutes. Atmosphere was nice and food was delicious. Wil be coming here again!!

What happened to this place?! I've been here a few times before, just never got around to writing a review... I remember remember having a pleasant experience at Eureka when it first opened. I fell like Eureka has steadily had a downhill progression since then. Thhis time the food took forever to come...simple order, just burger and fries; 20 minutes at least and it wasn't outstanding or great. I had to ask the bartender if the kitchen was backed up. His reply; "Oh yeah. They're backed up." At least have the decency to tell me that...common courtesy, I would have thought. It's what I would have done. Customer service is now an afterthought. #Burger ~ Double Smash - 2.5/5 This didn't look like a Double Smashburger, barely looked like a Smasedburger actually. Apparently Eureka is fully onboard the shrinkflation wagon. The sizes of the burgers have shrunk and the prices are up, the flavor seems to be missing as well not. The Fries were good. ~ Bone Marrow Burger - 2.5/5 I had this in the past. My buddy ordered it. This time it looked like a former shadow of itself...and he was NOT a fan. Pre SHRINKFLATION items I was lucky enough to enjoy... ~ Osso Buco Riblets - 4/5 ~ Truffle Cheese Fries - 4/5 ~ Bone Marrow Burger - 4.5/5 ~ Bone Marrow Burger - 4/5 (2nd time around - Steadily declining quality) ~ Chicken Nachos - 3.5/5 ~ Blues Burger - 4/5 ~ Milk Stout - 3.5/5. A bit Sweet Don't think I'll be returning anytime soon or possibly ever...

Yelp
Loved the place Came here on a Friday evening with a group of 10. Luckily we got seated just before the rush of Friday Evening. We had a couple of appetizers Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese bites - unexpectedly brussel sprouts were the For the mains I had the mushroom burger with fries. The patty came well roasted with fries. The star of the night was the Bourbon Barrel cake A must have if ever at Eureka. Appreciation to the staff, they were accomodating to the people in the group who were late to order.

Yelp
This was my first time at this location. I went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and we were seated right away. I got a vodka soda splash of cranberry and it was made just like I like it. I had two of these and everytime I leave Eureka I don't feel too drunk which is good but I also don't order their wild child's anymore bc I feel like there's is minimal alcohol in there and more juice. I always love the brussel sprouts and truffle cheese fries! Can't go wrong w those appetizers! This was my first time getting the cheese burger and onion rings. The cheeseburger was good, but I do like the fig burger better. The onion rings were super crunchy and good. The campfire drink is fun, it comes with smoke when in a bottle when the waiter pours it for you and a toasted marshmallow. I do like the Santa Clara location a bit better for the vibes, I like the outside seating/bar there.

Yelp
Came to Eureka for their bone marrow burger and was satisfied. If you're a bone marrow lover, you will likely be too. It contains bone marrow shiitake butter, grilled onion, horseradish mustard aioli, and roasted roma tomato. I also got a side of truffle fries which were okay; the fries could have been crispier. The meal is obviously decadent, so expect a bit of a food coma after! We sat outside on a nice day. Service was a bit sluggish though, as it took a long time for our server to take our order and retrieve the bill even though it was pretty dead.

What on Earth happened to this place?! I've been here a few times before, just never got around to writing a review... I remember thoroughly enjoying my experience at Eureka when it first opened. Yelp
Tried Eureka at the downtown Mountain View location, having enjoyed another spot. Another success. I tried the Headhunter and it was strong, but refreshing. Well worth it. I was less impressed with the big island daiquiri and didn't finish. The husband had bone marrow burger and I had steak. Yum! Puppies were given treats. The area is delightful, a pedestrian zone with lots of restaurants, live music, and free parking. Will come again.

Yelp
Dropped by again a week later and ordered my usual (usual being only the second time): the steak frites, rare, with a generous swipe of bone marrow butter on top. Perfection. That rare temp? Exactly where the steak lives its best life--tender, juicy, unapologetically rich. Started with the Caesar salad, which was pretty good... but let's talk about the real crime: 2.5 croutons. I counted. It felt like a passive-aggressive garnish. Caesar deserves better (so do I) To drink: a Shirley Temple, because sometimes you want bubbles, pomegranate flavor, and nostalgia in a glass. Sat outside and soaked in the vibes. Even though Eureka is a chain--and I typically run from anything that feels mass-produced--this one earns its stripes. The consistency in execution, the quality of the food, and the laid-back, slightly elevated atmosphere keep pulling me back in.

Yelp
Came here on a whim the other day with a friend. TBH I haven't been to Eureka in YEARS. And last time I went I remember it was not a great experience. Flash forward todI was in the mood for a burger so we decided, hey why not try it again? We arrived and were seated promptly. The food much better then it was last time I went about 10 years ago. Service: 5/5 Our server was very friendly and had some great suggestions for food choices. He checked up on us and made sure we had enough water. Ambiance: 4/5 It was a little dark and some lighting would have helped. Hence the 1 star! Other then that it had a nice vibe and the booth/chair was comfortable. Food: 5/5 The food was pretty decent! I'd recommend the classic burger as my friend and I both had it and it was super tasty. You can substitute any side for a small charge instead of the fries it comes with. I had the onion rings and they did the trick. We also ordered a salad to *balance those burger calories* and the goat cheese one was a good pairing to the burger! My friend had something called "cinnamon honey sweet potatoes" and at first I'm like what is that??? I've never seen that or tried it on a menu. She felt like a risk taker that day so she ordered them. OMG I had a bite and they were so good! It's like candy for adults. I felt like I was eating a dessert so if you have a sweet tooth these are a must to try! I personally prefer the savory kind but as an avid potato lover I would definitely eat these too. Overall I'd say this place has really changed over the last few years and it is a decent spot to come for a nice meal! I recommend coming here for lunch or dinner and you will enjoy a nice burger and sides. I would definitely come here again !

Yelp
Food 3.5 Drink 3.5 Ambiance (bar) 1 Service (bar) 1 I'm writing this moments after leaving in the event that the management at this Eureka wants to increase sales, particularly at their bar. This is quite possibly the worst service I've had in years, certainly the worst I can remember. I arrived around 5 o'clock and the bar was about 70% full with one person behind the bar. There are multiple empty spaces with dirty dishes and glasses, however after looking around a bit I made my way to an open seat with the least mess in the area. Lesson 1: pre-bus your station while you're working, your head should rarely be down but scanning the bar at all times. As I sat down I could see the bartender on the far side of the bar cleaning glasses, drinking some water, looking around the restaurant , finally I was able to catch his attention. There is no greeting or smile when he came over, just a simple what can I get you. I ordered my drink and a burger. After he delivered my drink the only other time he said anything to me with when he dropped off the check. Lesson 2: always check on the customer after the food's been delivered, this also gives you a chance to sell another beverage. It was a shift change so one maybe two people were coming on and he was busy getting out of there. The dishes and glassware that I had noticed upon entering the bar were still there 20+ minutes later. The new bar keeps, assuming the person following the other person around the bar was actually a bar keep, they absolutely no attention to the customers at the bar unless the customers reached out to them. I sat with an empty water and an empty drink for well over 15 minutes. The new bar Keep and the person following them around the bar or really involved in their conversation, but after a while they started cleaning the bar. While I was planning on having another drink at that point I was pretty much done with my burger and there was certainly no ambience, conversation or anything else to encourage me to spend more money or stay at the bar. At this point the bar was less than half full. Lesson 3: as a bartender you control the ambience and energy at the bar. Dirty glasses, empty glasses, and spending more time talking to coworkers than the customers is a sure way to have a dead bar and lead to stagnated sales. A small note about the food, while my burger was definitely cooked beyond the medium that I asked for it was still OK. I can assure you that next time I will definitely go to the Cupertino location instead of Mountain View.

Yelp
Went here for a team lunch so no food pics, but a ton of dishes were ordered. Of what I tried: Truffle Cheese Fries were good, Crispy Glazed Brussel Sprouts were pretty solid, and the Mac N' Cheese Balls were my favorite. For my main I had the Fish and Chips which honestly weren't the best I've had. Prices run about $12+ for shareables, $6+ for sides, and entrées starting around $20+. Thankfully this one was on the company tab! Service didn't stand out either way but no one in our group had any complaints so that's definitely a good sign. Overall, I enjoyed the meal but I'm not sure I'd come back on my own dime.

Yelp
We went here for Father's Day and it was not too packed at all! The service was fast and prompt. We got the fried pickles to start and that was really good! With the drinks, we enjoyed all of them! I got the jalapeño egg burger and it was great, though it didnt stand out to me from other burger places. This location is located on Castro street, which is a nice street to walk around with a variety for great shops to look at. Great location!

Yelp
Overall 3.5 stars Ambiance- we same on a Friday night and it was really loud. Loud music in the background and lots of people talking over each other. Food- everything was on par with what you would expect from a chain. No complains.

Yelp
As part of the post-covid downtown Mountain View, this Eureka! spot does a great job offering lunch to workers and tourists around the neighborhood. My office being just two walking blocks south on Castro, I visited this location with a former colleague and we enjoyed the relaxing outdoor eating. Service was nice and they never forgot about us while we enjoyed our meal outdoors. I had the fig burger (medium) with upgraded truffle fries and it was fantastic. Juicy and flavorful, the burger really does a great job of satisfying your burger needs but without the greasiness you'd get from fast food establishments. This was truly a well made burger. This place is recommended for a lunch spot.

Yelp
After wanting to try this place for a while, it reminded me of a higher end red Robin. My burger was pretty tasty, but didn't really stand out to me in regards to flavor. My sweet potato fries were not cooked that well I would have preferred them to just be a little more crispy in a pinch of salt. The service was very friendly and environment was clean and inviting. There was plenty of parking and areas to walk around.

Yelp
Eureka has some great cocktails even though they have a full wall of whiskeys. I got exposed to Eureka for the first time in Berkeley. A friend took me and I totally enjoyed the whiskey flight. It was amazing especially since I was very into whiskey at the time. The next time I went it was in Mountain View in my backyard. I enjoy their apps and usually go for happy hour. It is usually pretty loud inside so I usually try to get a patio table outside. Their burgers and sandwiches are very filling and I love their fries. I loved their tiki drink which I think is a special on their menu.

Yelp
(Tom Cruise voiceover) The vibe is fabulous late night fare for those of us who like to work hard and dine fine! And yes, ladies, it is hoppin'! Eleanor warmly greeted us! Lana served us. She is soo nice! New York Strip Steak w/ Brocollini! Get it with the Bone Marrow Butter! Absolutely delectable! Eureka Salad w/ 2 Beet Patties! Yes, not one; TWO! Lana made that special request possible! Bison Burger avec Truffle Fries! C'est Magnifique! Blackberry Smash! Tart! Just like the Strawberry Limeade! Soo goood! Exemplary party vibe w/ gourmet touches! Would order everything again! Thanks, Lana & Eleanor! Woohoo!

Yelp
WOW. When we entered, there were about 4 employees at the host stand. ALL ignored us. We sat down at the bar and the bartender came over. We asked him what beers were on the list... and he couldn't name them at all. Also turns out that though they advertise beers for $6 for happy hour, it's only a few beers (like Coors Light) and the rest are still full price! Cheap-os. So I asked him what wines were on happy hour. He said, "Uh... I have no idea... I just pour them." Asked if I could get the happy hour cocktail with tequila instead of vodka; "No, they're all batched." Again, cheaping out. The place was dead empty, and now I know why! Food: very few options on the happy hour food menu. We got fried pickles. When the server dropped off, she said, "Oh, this ranch is spilling, can you grab some napkins". Sure, let me do your job for you. The pickles were good. The pretzel bites, however... tiny portion and the sauce was literally inedible. It had the grossest texture - it was supposed to be cheese sauce but it was CHUNKY. The vibe is just plain old bar. Very little effort has gone into jazzing it up. Go anywhere else on Castro St. Don't waste your time or money here.

Yelp
good food but the service here is poo poo went sunday night 07/06 and it wasnt even close to busy. our server had her nose to her lil kiosk thing the entire time when she was going back and forth. i think she had half of the restaurant but an acknowledgment from her wouldve been acceptable. my boyfriend and i attempted at context clues however she did not look up any moment, just eyes glued to her handheld. front desk didnt wasnt any different either, i think management (she wasnt wearing a uniform shirt) bused our empty dishes away but did not even ask how we were or anything. it was my bf's first time at any eureka and hes been hype about it since i moved walkable to the area. he was looking forward to the dessert but because of the lack of service we were both turned off and went home without. after this specific visit, id be hesitant to come back

Yelp
I don't usually eat American food, but I was really craving mac and cheese balls. They were definitely the highlight of the meal, and I would order them again if I came back. The sauce they came with was delicious! I also tried the truffle cheese fries, but surprisingly as a truffle fan, I didn't enjoy the truffle sauce. I'd probably pass on these fries. The spicy chicken sandwich was ok; nothing special and not really fried enough. The consistency was a little bit on the soggier side. Service was attentive and good.

Yelp
Tried out Eureka because we always passed by it and it was always packed so it piqued our curiosity. The place is quite tight and awfully loud but it is a very lively vibe. Plus our server was pretty cool. The food though, was super yummy. I told our server the burgers we had was even better than Gordon Ramseys Burger place. Will definitely bring our kids here!
google avatar

Yu-ting W.

Yelp
We got seated pretty quickly but then received no acknowledgment from any of the servers from then on. No water, no 'hi! I'm your server, I'll get your order after bussing these tables, etc...' or anything. It was obvious we were ready to order with our menus down looking for who might be our server. There were certainly staff walking around, but again--0 acknowledgement. We waited close to 20 minutes and then decided to walk out. I don't think you should be seating customers if you are understaffed. Maybe next time have a waitlist and seat customers only if staff is available. Or at least communicate that the wait staff may take awhile to get to your table...

Yelp
We had a large group of about 15 people at Eureka, and the service was amazing. Our food came out quickly, and the staff was super attentive and accommodating. There's plenty of seating with high ceilings and TVs around the restaurant, making it a nice, open space. They're known for their whiskey and burgers, but honestly, most of the food--including the burgers--left a bit to be desired. That said, the nachos and truffle fries were pretty good!

Maurine J.

Yelp
Food was excellent. We had the salmon, fig burger, fish tacos and chicken sandwich. They were very busy but the service was still great. Very pleasant atmosphere. This was in Mountain View.

Yelp
Eureka is the best! The ambiance is perfect after a long day at work. On a hot day they make it open air by leaving the shutter wide open. My group of friends enjoy the happy hour drinks & appetizers. Easy to lose track of time since it so jovial. Wonderful rewards program as well with the Eureka app. Hands down a fave spot on Castro. Parking is good as well if you are patient.

Yelp
Strolling around downtown Mountain View and trying to find a place to eat that my friend has never been to is like trying to find a needle in the haystack. As we were standing at the corner, across the restaurant and trying to figure out where to eat, a couple approaches us and tells us to go to Eureka! I mean if there are signs out there in the universe then this is it. My friend wanted to sit by the window, when we went in they said that it had been reserved so we were going to be seated elsewhere. Luckily, as we were putting our stuff down, the host tells us that the reservation was cancelled and we be seated at the front by the window.......what fate. We got there by happy hour and were able to take advantage of the deals. My friend and I both got the Eureka! American Cheeseburger, with fries. We shared the Mac n' cheese balls and the bourbon barrel cake. Service by Milani was phenomenal. She was so nice and attentive. If you haven't done so, you can download their app and take advantage of a $10 off coupon as a first time incentive. Plus, if you go back they have a loyalty reward system for frequent dining. My cheeseburger was yummy, the meat and the ingredients were fresh. The fries were really good too. Loved the way that the meal was served, it made it look more enticing. The highlight of the evening was the cake. Fabolous! The flavor of the cake with the vanilla bean ice cream was a perfect match. Not overwhelming. It was the right amount of sweet. We went on a rainy day, but by the time we went, the rain was not as intense and was starting to taper off. Warning....the floors were soooo slippery!!!! I thought it was me, even though it made no sense since I was wearing boots with a good rubber sole but when my friend made her way to the bathroom and came back she mentioned the same thing. I don't know if this is just because it had been raining and the floor was wet or if their floors are just slippery. The only other thing is that the water glasses looked a little smudged and dingy to me. The street is closed to vehicles, so parking can be found nearby at the parking garage and streets. It is a popular spot, great ambiance and lightning...a great spot for hanging out.

Yelp
I went to the bar today to watch the 49ers game the bar and restaurant were surprisingly slow. I sat at the bar and the bartender went by me about 10 times and did not acknowledge me or ask if I wanted anything. He was a white short dude. I left and watched the game in another bar. P.S. the score is 41 LA 29 SF. Another bummer

Yelp
After all these years, it was my first time to Eureka. We had 5 families with young kids, and we were able to get a lunch reservation for 20 people on a Sunday. Bonus: kids eat free this month! The food is standard American fare with burgers, salads, tacos, sandwiches, etc. They also had lots of craft beer options and a full bar. For the kids, they had coloring sheets and crayons, and as mentioned above, kids eat free, which was amazing. My kids got the Mac and cheese and also a full sized cheeseburger with fries. The meals also came with optional juice. For the adults: - Cobb salad: nicely grilled chicken breast, avocado, tomato, egg, blue cheese, pickled onion - fairly standard but on mixed greens and arugula - Smash burger: pretty solid; definitely pay for the upgrade to switch to truffle fries! Service was pretty quick, and they were well staffed. Eureka turned out to be a great lunch option for our big group!

Yelp
Great food Great people Great service Eureka! Is amazing, but this specific location apparently mops their floors with vegetable oil. Seriously, be careful! Always slippery!

Yelp
4.7/5 stars! Walking around this area, I always passed by this restaurant and finally decided to try it out! The interior is quite dark and the atmosphere is loud and lively, with tables being placed closely to each other. We were seated near the entrance very quickly, which was awesome despite it being a typical dinner rush time. I honestly didn't know initially that they specialized in burgers, but I was pleasantly surprised by their wide selection and protein substitutes. I don't eat red meat, but I sometimes crave a great burger that suits my food limitations. Aside from the beef protein options, they have a variety of protein substitutes that include ahi tuna, fried chicken, grilled chicken, salmon, and their veggie patty. - Mac N' Cheese Balls (5 pieces) 4.5/5: These were super delicious and crispy. There were chiles and whole macaroni inside, not like others I've had where the pasta was mushed or chopped up. It wasn't as creamy as I prefer, but it was good nonetheless. - Fresno Fig Burger with Veggie Patty 5/5: I am a goat cheese lover, and combining that with fig marmalade sounded like a dream! I was so excited that this burger was so customizable to fit my food preferences, allowing me to remove the bacon as well as changing the patty to their Beet and Kidney Bean veggie one. The goat cheese was creamy and paired well with the sweet fig. The veggie patty was soft on the inside, while crispy on the outside; you can definitely taste the subtle beet flavor in the mixture. The mustard and arugula were also nice to break away from the sweetness of the fig and pungent goat cheese. - Truffle Cheese Fries 5/5: I chose these fries to sub my regular fries and I couldn't be happier I did so. These might be one of the best fries I've had! They were fried to perfection and topped with truffle salt, Parmesan, and chives. They were also served with a white truffle cheese sauce that was fantastic! The truffle flavor was evident, but not too strong, and the sauce itself was not heavy. It was the perfect balance of truffle and cheese! -Big Island Daiquiri 4.1/5: This was a refreshing, sweet cocktail that I could definitely taste the lime and yuzu in. The Ube flavor was not as obvious to me, but it was a satisfying choice for a citrusy drink.

Yelp
Love the food and atmosphere at Eureka but the service has recently been subpar. Even sitting at the bar, the bartender seemed annoyed when we ordered our drinks. The bartender snatched the card out of my hand and threw it down after he charged it. I thought Eureka Cupertino was bad but Eureka MV isn't looking much better nowadays.

Yelp
i came in the afternoon for happy hour. their truffle fries are delicious. the table by the windows feel good to sit at. i had the lychee martini a few times. the campfire! is another drink i recommend. their alcohol options are the main appeal, from the draft beers to the cocktails. the area of mountain view they are in is very walkable and cute. a nice place to enjoy a slow day with close ones, especially in sunny weather.

Yelp
We love Eureka! so much that this is my second, glowing review!! They've recently updated their menu, which includes the Ahi Poke Stack as an appetizer!! 10/10 - delicious!!! Super fresh and very tasty!! The hostesses, waitstaff and bartenders are all terrific, too! Great lighting and ambiance, and on a Tuesday night, steady stream of customers.

Yelp
The only thing we've tried here was the buffalo wings, and these are phenomenal. The skin on these and crispy, sauce is so tangy and delicious, it makes you want to keep eating them. I've tried so many different buffalo wings and this place ranks very high on my list. I will say that on a Friday night, it was incredibly busy, loud and crowded, which makes me think everything else they serve here is great too. If you're looking for classic buffalo wings, I'd recommend this place absolutely

Yelp
I always passed by Eureka while exploring Mountain View, and finally got to try it!! We didn't have a reservation- and upon walking in on a Friday night, we were told it would be a 20 minute wait for a table. We ended up sitting at the bar! I ordered the Wild Child cocktail, which was super yummy! It was a little fizzy and the lychee was the perfect pair on top. For food, we ordered the Honey Glzed Brussel Sprouts and the Bone Marrow Burger. The Brussel sprouts came out right away, but we waited for about 45 minutes for the Bone Marrow burger. It was a bit underwhelming to be honest.. Waiting for the food to arrive for so long, I thought the burger would be better. I would not recommend to order this burger. The brussel sprouts were a little too burnt for my liking but the glaze really saved it! I would definitely give this spot a second chance in the future. Hopefully next time the food comes out a little earlier :)

Yelp
Mountain View, CA 10pm on a Friday night. Nice poke' appetizer and a cob salad for my husband. Add a beer! Super pleased! Excellent host who sat us. Excellent waiter! Night Manager, PLEASE turn the music down! We LOVE music, but we're NOT at a dance club! Customers and workers couldn't hear each other...Kinda ridiculous! We would have stayed longer and ordered another beer, but it was too friggen LOUD! San Luis Obispo Eureka is 5 stars! Which is why we visited the Mountain View location.

Yelp
This place deserves a review after visiting more than couple times now. We went for dinner on a Saturday without a reservation. I love the ambiance- lightings , the bar area and the service. Although it looked busy , we were quickly seated. Our server was very attentive and always had a smiling face . We ordered the chicken wings - the sauces were really good and the spicy chicken burger was good too. Truffle fries did not hit the spot though. The bourbon Carmel cake with vanilla ice cream was decadent.

Yelp
I came across Eureka and I got the Asian salad and some french fries with cheese. food was fresh and delicious. My server was really nice and kind to us as well. I'm sure I will visit this place again. Place was nice and clean the only thing is the music was too loud.

Yelp
You better come by Eureka and check them out! We love their Double Smash Burger & Fries! Take it with their own house made hot sauce! It's the best! The staff are very helpful and well trained! Look for OBI! You will get great service from this guy! They have a wide range of menu and their promotions delightful too! Check out the offerings on your table!

Yelp
I had an exceptional experience thanks to Hank, the bartender! He was incredibly helpful and provided truly raving service. His attentiveness and skill made my visit fantastic.

Yelp
After having dinner at a local Ramen spot, we were walking up and down Castro for a spot for a nice cocktail. Eureka! was the perfect spot. We sat down at the bar and had great service the entire night. We loved all of our cocktails and had a great conversation with the bartender while watching the Rams vs. Cardinals game. The interior is on the darker side but the atmosphere was lively! Castro is closed off which is great as a pedestrian but makes driving a little more tricky. Regardless it was very to get to!

Yelp
Management sucks, customer service is terrible, waited around for way too long for tacos then food came out cold. My server was nice but that's the only good thing I can say, wouldn't recommend, not returning.

Yelp
One of the most efficient but fulfilling work lunches! Customer service is five star! It's impressive how fast they are but still maintain very quality food I would expect at a nice dinner. Got fine dining level service and food somehow left in 40 minutes. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The best Eureka! location. Every time I come I am well taken care of, the food always is amazing, and the drinks are even better! (You have to check out the happy hour it is fabulous) Some of my favorites are the house margarita (it comes out of a tap and is one of the best unique margs), the salmon kale Caesar, and you can't go wrong with any of the burgers with some truffle fries. Eureka is a great place to come for a casual meal, to watch a game, or to hang with coworkers after a busy day! If in the Bay Area, don't miss out!

Yelp
The food was good but the portions were small and over priced. The service was great but they kept interrupting me and my friends during our conversations. I know they are doing their job but I feel like they were checking up on us every 5 mins. The ambiance is cute and small. Parking isn't great and I wished they had more space to park.

Yelp
Came here for drinks and apps and had a great time with my coworkers. Staff is friendly and helpful, Chris and Jaz were awesome. We will definitely come back again.

Yelp
Wonderful ambiance (right on Castro street and lives up to the vibe of the street), good bar food but slow service. We went in on a Tuesday evening and the place was busy but still were able to get seating (outside) rather quickly. They have a great collection of beers and cocktails were good too. The Mac and cheese balls and shishito peppers were great! The food did take a while to come out but it was ok since we were not in a rush.

Yelp
went for the Wednesday double smash burger. What a horrible experience. The burger was luke warm( yet they state its made fresh..SHM) The fries were super cold I had to return them.. when they brought me the second batch.. it was still Luke warm I think they put them in the microwave for 30 sec.. but I didn't want to return them for the second time.... you never know what happens in the kitchen. Anyway this will be my last time to visit this establishment again... Maybe just for drinks but no more eating here again.

Yelp
I finally tried this burger shop in downtown Mountain View after so many years living in the area! I thought the Double Smash burger I got was just okay. I felt like the burger could have used a little more salt overall. It tasted a little bland and a little dry. My friends were lamenting that the 28 Day Dry-Aged Bone Marrow burger used to be so good and juicy but they changed it so that it's not as good anymore. They got it again to confirm and they agreed it used to be much juicier back in the day. Service was nice and friendly. Atmosphere of the place felt like a typical bar restaurant. Lots of big TVs behind the bar!

Yelp
I go there almost every night by myself or with others and spend at least $100 per person. They changed their regulations where you need to leave a card to open a tab. I gave them a card to tab and paid with a different card but they charged the original card by accident. They made a mistake and accused me of making a mistake even after the bartender stated he was the one that made a mistake. The MOD accused me of yelling at the staff for no reason when I didn't. The manager never tried to mitigate the situation and if anything, she escalated it more. She kept saying I am in the wrong and if I keep raising my voice I will be banned all the while the bartender is right next to her stating it was his mistake. I just wanted management to acknowledge it was their mistake but it's somehow my fault they charged the wrong card. I told them I tried to charge a different card so I don't get in trouble and the MOD literally told me it's my fault for trying to do that. WHO DOES THAT? I am from the industry and I would NEVER say that to a customer. She also threatened to call the cops for me asking her to correct her mistake? There were so many wrong responses but never the correct one, which would be a simple "I'm sorry". I would never go back even if I wasn't banned after this incident. The most unprofessional manager I have ever met and I actually felt attacked. I was literally accused of using the wrong card even after it was established I paid with the correct card. I would give -100 stars if possible. I would advise retraining management. This wasn't my first negative experience with her either... This was at 11 pm on 9/19.
