Right in Times Square, while looking for a breakfast spot, we came across Europan Cafe. With its lit up exterior, reminiscent of Broadway, it called us inside.
The space is small, you order at the counter, pay, then they bring it to you.
Their menu is large, offering Açaí bowls, waffles, bagels, sandwiches, omelets. All of this sounds pretty American to me.
I got a Berries & Creme Crape and a latte. Why was this small latte $7.00? The others got sandwiches and a very overpriced mocha and juice!
Now, I understand this is Times Square, it's a huge tourist trap, but our drinks and food arrived on paper plates and in paper cups. This is typically a turn off for me, but over $70 for breakfast for three, where they could easily make a small effort to present their product to make it worthy of the cost.
My crape was ok. I'll be honest, I expected the creme to be cream cheese, but it was very sweet, the strawberries and blueberries were fresh.
The coffees were pretty good.
When we sat down, there were other people's cups on our table, we had to call the gentleman clearing tables to clear ours. He never wiped down the table.
It is obvious they don't prioritize service at Europan Cafe.
