This is maybe one of the nicest little bakeries in Pasadena. It has a bit of European flair, with a long rustic table in the center, spacious interior, and a breezy patio with a chill vibe and plenty of foliage to give you a sense of privacy. It has a little bit of everything to please the palate, as well as some merch you can use for your coffee drinking on the go.
Their menu offers about what you would expect from such a bakery, ranging from the healthy to the decadent, and their pastries are as delicious as one would hope. Their macarons, in particular, are some of the best I've had; perfectly chewy in the center, crackly on the outside, and slightly-bigger than most. The cookies are pretty darn amazing, too; my favorite being the crackly Chocolate Mocha. The case is always replete with fresh European-inspired treats, as well, like gorgeous croissants, hefty scones of different varieties, and even quiche.
From their food menu, I tried their Croque Monsieur on their Rosemary Currant bread, and let me tell you, from the nasty smell of that cheese, they must have been using the good stuff. It's not the best I've had, but I think most people with a more refined palate might like it. I also took one of their Almond Chicken Sandwiches on Rosemary Currant bread for the road, and THAT was an enormous sandwich, and delicious to boot. The chicken is cooked in a unique way that packs on the flavor and all those veggies they're putting in there ensure you're getting the health value as well as the taste.
The coffee portion of their menu looked pretty "meh" to me, so I can't speak to that, but given how good everything else is, you may want to try your luck. It's also not cheap to eat here, but given how large the portions are, you're definitely getting your money's worth.
