"Euro Pane is a good cafe and bakery right in the middle of the chain restaurants and department stores on Colorado. Don’t be scared off by the hordes of people that work in the area wearing suits - they’ve got great housemade bread and baked goods (get the cinnamon roll), and a massive open-faced egg salad sandwich with tomato, spread thin on sourdough." - Brett Keating

Got the chocolate scone which was just the right consistency (nice and flakey) and not oily and the chocolate chips were good (would’ve been better if it was chunks). A+ The egg salad toast was humongous!!! I split one and still felt like they must’ve used 2-3eggs just on my half. But delicious!

Kind of a long line for a weekday morning, but some empty seats for chilling out in the cafe, awesome staff, delicious pastries. They make some of their signature pastries on the weekends only. Will be back.

Owner-founder Pastry Chef Sumi Chang learned from the best (Nancy Silverton of La Brea Bakery). Her caneles alone are worth a trip. Late afternoon pastries specials but you have to ask about them

Since the pandemic, Europane seems to have discontinued making some of the baked goods that made them a standout on the east side of Los Angeles. It is so disappointing. Although I have great sympathy for what restaurants have had to struggle with to just afloat, now that they are open, one would hope the first thing they would do is reestablish what made them such a standout bakery cafe in the first place. They used to make what are traditionally called Morning Buns, one of only two places east of L.A. that made them. Lincoln was the only other place one could occasionally get a Morning Bun. But Lincoln, sadly, did not survive the pandemic. So now the only place one can get this delight is to travel to -- as ALWAYS -- the west side. Europane still makes their famous egg salad, but somehow the breads they were famous for may not live up to their old standards. I will continue to support Pasadena's two Europane locations just blocks apart from one another on Colorado. I love the place, and will continue to be loyal. I just hope the owners understand that now that they are back in business, their customers hope for the same loyalty in return and will bring back the baked goods that drew us in in the first place.

4.5 Real Score -- I tried the frittata and and iced mocha and both were pretty solid. I thought the coffee was fairly weak because I didn't truly taste the espresso but perhaps that was just a one-off. This is the first frittata I've had at this bakery and it was really light and fluffy, pretty flavorful. I think I might still prefer the American omelette though! I think if I had tried a croissant or some other baked goods it would have been a clear five stars for me, so I will try that next round!

I was at a convention in Pasadena last week, at breakfast almost every day there, at lunch a few times too. Everything was fresh and good, the service was excellent. I had an egg on the giant english muffin a few times, it had feta, it was really good. My friends had the egg salad this morning and it was the prettiest thing I've ever seen on a plate. I wish I'd ordered it. If you are in the area, you have to try this place.

Not delicious anymore. I had a sandwich and a pastry and neither tasted like the bread or pastry were baked that day (I ended up not finishing either) and SO expensive. I do not think they are baking daily or it doesn't seem like it. Maybe they will get their groove back, this place used to be so good.

Great sandwiches and salads. Pretty good coffee. I have been coming here for years and find myself drawn to all the classics. The egg salad sandwich may be the best in the entire metropolitan area. The bakery is also excellent, all the breads for the sandwiches are made in house, and don't mess around - buy their cookies.
