"I recently did a trip with a company called European Sleeper which is just a, uh, just put together by two big train fans, one from Brussels and one from, uh, Holland. And they just came together and decided that they wanted to bring back sleepers because of the, I suppose it was towards the end of the '90s that most of the Eur- most of Europe sleeper trains were phased out. And they were really sad that there wasn't a sleeper from Amsterdam anymore. And they managed to, I think they crowd-funded quite a lot of it, um, but they also got investors and, by and large, they managed to put together the, the inaugural train that set off from Brussels and it ran overnight from, I think it was 7:30 p.m., got in at 8:30 in the morning to Berlin. And it's gonna carry on to Prague. That's their, their next destination in mind. And it was just the most magic journey. There were tourists who'd come in from all over the world actually, just to, to ride this train."

We took the night train from Brussels to Prague and had an excellent journey and unforgettable experience. Sure the carriages are a bit old but they have character, were warm and comfy and departed and arrived on time. The stewards were also very friendly. Thank you for bringing back this service and we hope you bring back many more!

It was a nice relaxing journey, with a comfortable bed in a decent sleeping compartment. The train was on time throughout, and the section between Prague and Dresden featured stunning views. The rolling stock is old and temperamental (only one of two toilets worked), but the staff are the best feature of the service - kind, knowledgable, attentive. I would travel again.

Took the Prague-Amsterdam route in a sleeper cabin for 6. For the price, better to take a plane. Only consider travelling outside of summer and for the experience, not gonna repeat unless train is renovated. Pros: beautiful scenery, clean linen, beds okaish, staff is really nice. Cons: very dated train, avoid in the summer at all costs, no air-co so all needs to be open and is very noisy/light, especially at stations, compartment for 6 too small, free water was boiling due to heat, no restaurant car, only snacks and sells stop at 11pm, toilets are old and some not working.

We took the European Sleeper from Prague to Berlin on 15 August. About 90 minutes before arrival one passenger from our compartment informed us that he had just found out on his phone that our train would not go to Berlin main station as planned. Indeed it was diverted to Berlin Gesundbrennen station. Without that person we would never have known and who knows where we would have ended up! We did not receive any notification or message. There was one announcement on the loudspeakers but the sound was so bad we could not understand a word. I think communication is key and the European Sleeper should definitely improve that… Because 2 days later we took it again, from Berlin to Brussels…. The train was over an hour late and again there was no communication. At some point the train even disappeared from all notice boards and screens for 15 minutes! When we finally got on board with our bicycles we struggled to park them as best we could with another 12 cyclists or so, only to discover later that there was another large space for bikes in the next carriage. Nobody had told us. One toilet was out of order and another one was overflowing.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a trip to Prague, booking our journey with European Sleeper. Although the main attention was the destination, we were amazed and pleasantly surprised by the train journey even more. Starting from the staff, who was so friendly and helpful, to the coaches (which even though "vintage", they were clean, with fresh linen and pillows) to the breathtaking landscapes which we could watch directly from the bed. European Sleeper was not only a means of transportation for us, but a way of making our trip more memorable and romantic.

A comfortable and easy way to travel between Rotterdam and Berlin - I arrived in both cities feeling refreshed after a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic from the outset, which was lovely. The train was old, but I quite enjoyed that - it reminded me of the Hogwarts Express! I was in a shared female compartment, and it felt like old school travel, where we all chatted and got to know each other and how the sleeping arrangements worked. I would highly recommend taking the sleeper over flying.

Utilized the European Sleep to travel from Amsterdam to Prague. Embarking in Amsterdam went smoothly, but rushed, and on time. The late night departure allowed for a full day in Amsterdam. The train sleeper car was clean and reasonably comfortable. Sleep was possible with the rhythm of the train travel. Several times the train was stopped through the night and once an announcement was made that passengers could disembark for a few minutes. During the morning, the train traveled through Germany and Czech Republic with a lot of nice scenery. The train made a few stops in Czechia so the train arrived in Prague about 20 minutes late. Staff was courteous and friendly. Overall a positive experience that I would repeat.
