"European Street Cafe has been a Jacksonville classic since the 90’s, offering up towering sandwiches, sharable salads, and ample outdoor dining options. Pro tip: order an “off menu” picklewich, that uses giant pickles in lieu of bread, filled with choice of two meats, cheese, and condiments." - Megan duBois

First visit: I got the French dip which I thought was like a 8.5/10. I also got soft pretzels with their beer cheese soup & honestly, I’d go without it next time, I wasn’t impressed. Peanut butter pie is a smaller piece but it’s pretty good! Second visit: I got the California Ruben and thought it was good! It had a very small amount of coleslaw though so I wish there was more of that.

Love this pet-friendly deli! European Street has a great vibe, delicious sandwiches (their mini sliders are a fave!), and tasty baked goods. Plus, they have a rotating selection of beers. The best part? You can bring your furry friend along and enjoy the patio together! As a dog owner, it's hard to find great food and a welcoming spot for my pup. European Street hits the spot on both counts! It's a rare find, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon this gem. Whether you're a foodie or a dog lover (or both!), European Street is a must-visit destination.

Delicious in a fun environment! The store has exotic options from around the globe of beers, treats and home made goods!

Google
I've been here many times and realized I've never reviewed it. It's a very popular place. It's popular because the portions are good and the food is great. I went with the European Street Ultimate, and my wife went with the Michelangelo Pita. Ohhh, their dessert selections are awesome, although we chose not to indulge this go round. Always great food and service. We also got some of their killer German potatoe salad to go...

Google
Our guests wanted a hot dog with saurekraut, and so they traveled from Palatka to get it. It was an enjoyable meal. I had so much food that I had to get a dessert to go.

Google
We didn't partake, but they have an all day happy hour and tons of drink options. The half sandwich and soup were a great choice for a light lunch. The tuna was a bit on the sweet side and the chicken rice soup was great. They have a number of things you can buy in the shop before you pay, and I was tempted with a chocolate chip cookie.

Tonie Hilton

Google
Not really European food. It's more like a sandwich and salad joint. They should change the name but on the inside it's giving Turkish/ countryside decorations but the food wasn't bad and the stuff was great so I give it a 8 out of 10

Google
I love this place and the food is excellent. Becky served us today. I had a European club sandwich on rye and a piece of the best chocolate cake ever!

Yelp
I love European Street Cafe! Their out front patio is lovely on a sunny day and dog friendly. The sandwiches are always good. I personally love the club European on pumpernickel. They have happy hour from 2-7 every day with buy one, get one beers. The tapped list is updated regularly! You can find it on Untapped!

Aiden S.

Yelp
A solid sandwich spot. We love European Street Cafe! My go-to is the shrimp croissant sandwich. It's delicious. They use whole shrimp, rather than chop it up, which I appreciate. The shrimp are tossed in a delicious mayonnaise and celery mix. I also like the pastrami Reuben. It's good - not great - but worth getting if you want a hot sandwich. Don't recommend the sausages. They sound like German sausage in the menu, but they're just hot dogs. I don't know about you, but going out to eat a hot dog with a fork and knife doesn't appeal to me. The Cole slaw is also too wet for my taste. Staff are great. They enjoy working here and are friendly. Interior and exterior are both really enjoyable to sit in. And they have an awesome shop in the back with great beer selections and amazing looking cakes. You should check it out!

Yelp
I was walking my usual route this afternoon and decided to stop in for lunch. ESC has a Happy Hour 2-8 on Mondays, also a 2 for 1 draft deal. For Lunch I got the Cuban sandwich on whole wheat bread that came with chips and a pickle. A cup of tomato bisque soup as an appetizer. For a draft of beer I got the sun king then the Ancient City Galleons Golden Ale which paired perfectly with my sandwich. There was seats at the bar, outside and at tables. They eliminated a hostesses amd let guests sit wherever they want. This was a nice touch. This was my first time to this location. Its a different setup from the San Marco location. I walked out the door purchasing Stegal Radler pack of beer which is a low ABV grapefruit beer.

Yelp
Food service ambience was wonderful everything was fresh the desserts are scrumptious perfect place to go on a laid back Sunday we will add this to our places we love

Yelp
The food was excellent. We've lived here 6 years and had never been in. I must say, the inside is not at all what I thought. First, the dining room is enormous. I'm not certain how many they can seat (150/200?). I cannot possibly imagine they actually fill all the seats. I really thought this was more of a deli/take out with a bakery case or 3 and had a few tables. Instead, it looks like a place old ladies would go to after church. The decor is 1970's/over crowded with stuff. Oddly, there's a little market where you can buy many different micro beers to go. Really looks like an afterthought. Again...the sandwiches we got to go were very good. Would I go back? Maybe. If in the area.

Laura A.

Yelp
We have dined outside often and gotten carry out, but this was the first time we have dined inside. European Street on Park has been our go-to for lunch since before we moved to the area. A choice of sandwiches for everyone, no matter what you are in the mood for and giant cookies among other dessert choices. Service was great, our waters were refilled and when my husband's hero came out cold instead of hot they quickly made that correction. I love the option to try a few different sandwiches with the slider option, found two of my favorites that way-Beef & Brie and the Turkey Parisian. I added the cup of soup, beer cheese (skipped the pretzel roll with it this time, but usually good to get with a few rolls to share). Outside patio seating in the warmer weather offers choices for small and large groups and room for your pups too.

Yelp
If you go here not expecting the best of the best you will be very pleased. Very much so diner food. The food is good, the portions are very large. The wait staff is either very nice or rude no in between! It's typically quiet and calm. They aren't in a rush! We frequent here often! I would recommend

Ashlee H.

Yelp
My favorite place in riverside. Every sandwich I've had is amazing. The White Russian club is my favorite. And of course happy hour everyday 2-8!

Keith B.

Yelp
This place surprised me. I came later in the evening one night with my dog. Not only were they welcoming on their patio. But the wait staff seemed to be so polite and even courteous enough to ensure my dog had water. My sandwich was good but I did wish I had chose something more than chips. Definitely will be back.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
I called ahead and asked if it was okay to have a large party (15ish people) come for an early lunch and they were happy to accommodate us. I'd called around several places in Jacksonville and they all said 15 people was too much, but ESC was more than happy to make it work. The coffee was good. The servers were very sweet and attentive. Our food came out super quick. I have no complaints. I ordered the Princess Anna to eat and it was delicious! I also had a bite of my friend's Cuban sandwich and that was tasty too. I definitely recommend coming here to this local cafe.

Lauren R.

Yelp
I hadn't been to this location yet but think I may have found a new fav sandwich spot for lunch! Service was super friendly and fast and she gave some really great recommendations. Highly recommend their Italian and Reuben sandwiches.

Tiffy D.

Yelp
Some friends and I came to this location for lunch today. I ordered the pastrami Reuben, which was pretty good. Just wish there was a tad bit more meat on it. I also did not care for the German potato salad. The Italian lemon cream cake was really good. I had never eaten here before. Great place for a sandwich.

Linda A.

Yelp
We stopped in because I wanted dessert, but we decided to have a little food as well. Our server immediately greeted us and brought drinks. The atmosphere is pleasant and everyone was friendly and attentive. Our food was out in a few minutes. I had the two sliders and soup combo, sharing one slider. The pasta fagioli soup was absolutely fabulous. The beer cheese soup is always so good it was hard to try something new, but I'm really glad I did. The Reuben sliders really hit the spot. I personally prefer the soft rolls to toasted bread. After the soup I was honestly full, but I couldn't had to eat the slider because my husband who wasn't even hungry was raving about his. I can never pass on dessert and their tiramisu did not disappoint. The portion was generous. We had a few bites and took most of it home for a delicious late night snack. We will definitely come back.

Shawn L.

Yelp
Another great lunch sitting out on patio enjoying the Florida weather. All day bogo beer on weekends

Audrey A.

Yelp
This place hit the spot. We were in the mood for soup and sammies, and forgot about the awesome selection at E Street. Such a great variety of sandwiches - hot or cold. It's cozy soup season, and to be honest, there aren't many soup spots in the Avondale area that we know of. So to come here and have 3 options--we were in Heaven. There's also a great selection of beers and desserts. Not pictured, we had the German chocolate cake cookie and the peanut butter covered graham- stuffed with Nutella. We also loved the outdoor space, plenty of tables and space - plus It's dog friendly. We cannot forget about the exceptional service. Shout out to Jeff, he was super attentive and overall great vibe and energy. There's limited parking in the lot adjacent to the building but tons of street parking. The area is walkable with cute neighboring shops. We will be back!

Quy M.

Yelp
Wasn't a fan of the menu, food or service. I ordered the Giant German Weiner which turned out to be a big ole hot dog with a side of chips and sauerkraut. We were here around closing time - Probably an hour or so before, and it seemed like everything was becoming unavailable on the menu. It was said it's better to come here early. They have you pay inside and it makes sense why. There's a whole "store" which has beers from around the world and a ton of sweets. I picked up some brew from Thailand along with too much candy for my son, whom wasn't with us at the time. Luckily that made the trip here somewhat better. My wife said she enjoyed her ham croissant though.

Michael K.

Yelp
the Blue Max is amazing. quickly turning into my go to spot. Sitting outside on a sunny day with a beer can't be beat!

Vladimir P.

Yelp
We went on a Saturday around lunch time. Upon arrival we were seated instantly. Customer service was amazing, servers were not only extremely polite but also very knowledgeable and were happy to provide insight about the menu. Restaurant itself looked very clean, I am not very big on paying attention to decoration so I can not remember the details. However,I can say that it was pleasant to be inside. Food was amazing, and e ordered beer cheese soup as an appetizer and it was out of this world. For our main course we order Ruben sandwiches which were in my option some of the best Ruben's I ever had. Overall 10/10! Can not wait to come again

Richard J.

Yelp
Casual Eclectic not fancy but good food. Eclectic because they serve Middle Eastern and German food. They have great beers and desserts. The hummus plate was a great appetizer served with all tapenade and veggies. The sliders were good as you got to try small versions of their best sandwiches. The Reuben and beef and Bree were both good. The smoked bratwurst was excellent.

Linda G.

Yelp
I've been to every location in Jacksonville - I love them all, but this one seems to have the most charming courtyard. I keep going back for their Tempeh Rueben -- yum! One of the best vegetarian meals in the city! After your meal, you pay at the register, and I dare you not to add a cookie or two for the ride home. You will not be disappointed!

Michelle D.

Yelp
Quick place to get some familiar classics. My favorite Ethiopian restaurant is closed today and I had a taste for a Reuben. Places like this remind me of why I can just make my own sandwiches at home. But today, I wasn't feeling well and had time to spare to look for what I wanted. After browsing Yelp, I found Reuben sandwiches full-sized, priced more than what I wanted to spend on a sandwich ($10) and sliders that would give me an idea of what the sandwich tastes like in a smaller size at European Street. I looked at bread & board, but it looked to be too much bread and the price rang about the same. I truly wanted fries with my Turkey Sliders or even pasta salad. Instead, I opted for the side salad with blue cheese. The sliders were served on small sourdough or some type of roll, which was too much bread for me but tasted great. I removed the larger top bun. I would next time get the sandwich but on rye bread and maybe with chips. I placed my order online , and it was ready by the time Yelp said it would be. That was a plus!! I walked in and looked around because it was my first time there, but there were also no signs directing where to pick up to-go orders. Walking toward the left side of the door, the register is hidden by so many things, it can be overwhelming upon entrance. Its a diner. I found a familiar strawberry beer that I often get from Total Wines. The pickup register was filled with craft beers and sweets. I glanced over at the pies and cakes but decided my stomach couldn't handle it all in one night. I'd like to bring my family here when they come possibly for breakfast. Not a disappointment!

Yelp
Wow, had passed this place so many times but never had the time to stop. If you've traveled Europe it will take right back. The Ambiance is as authentic as it gets for the USA. The service was outstanding but the menu was overwhelming with so many choices it was hard to pick. We went in with low expectations but we're pleasantly surprised. The pita bread pastrami sandwich was to die for so tender it melted in your month. The Herman potato salad was just the salad you find on the street of Frankfurt. The hot pretzels was like having them at an Oktoberfest in Germany. We will be back. Thanks for us on a time travel. Will not regret it.

The R.

Yelp
Great food good quality very nice staff Overall 9/10 restaurant only nine because the food is sometimes slightly bland and one time I got the white chocolate pretzels and was told they had never been sold before so I ended up with stale pretzels but they where still good

L. W.

Yelp
I ordered a Cuban to go. I call what I got a "fake". Every bite I took was hot from spices! Not what I expected. Real Cuban food is not hot. They don't like it hot and spicy. The bread was soft and mushy. It was NOT grill pressed as I think the menu said but I haven't rechecked. It was so bad that I highly do NOT recommend it. Service was good. It is a pleasant environment. American sandwich's.

Chris J.

Yelp
I love this place and have been eating and drinking here (Riverside location) for more than 20 years. The sandwiches and sausages are really good and the service is always great. They have a AWESOME happy hour with a fantastic selection of beers from around the world. They have my favorite beer on tap (Hacker-Pschorr Octoberfest) so I go here as often as I can. They always have a coupon in the Mint or one of the neighborhood circulars for buy one meal and two drinks and get a meal free, so it is very reasonable for an afternoon of drinking or a quick lunch. I love the Cuban al Calle European and the Dunderschmitt Hero. Highly recommend!

Tracy H.

Yelp
There is no reason for sandwiches not to be made as specified on the menu, there is no reason for the sides not be included in your meal. Paying for mediocrity is no longer tolerated in my book. Very disappointed!

Danielle F.

Yelp
this place is OK it's certainly not an authentic pastrami sandwich so I think the people who say that perhaps have never had one. This was good but I didn't blow my socks off. I would stop by here for a sandwich if I was hungry but probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Trash employees that interrupt customers. Trash employees that don't wash their hands with soap in the bathrooms. Trash conversations between employees about customers loud enough for other customers to hear. Trash.

Dawn H.

Yelp
I come here off and on and have never had a bad experience. Their menu is so full of options that the print is teensy, but today I let the waiter give me options. I am recently gluten (annoyingly) intolerant, and they have great options!! I had this yummy Roast Beef and loved it. I did steal some French dip au jus from my friend and it was heavenly. They have great salad options, awesome vegan options, above the normal restaurant vegan choices. Wow. Simply...wow. All flavors and cultures reflected in the selection. Ask for the waiter "Jeff" and you will be happy you came!!

Stephan E.

Yelp
Love European Street (all the locations I've been too, eg beaches, Riverside, San Marco, etc.). It's the only place I know in Jax with good, scratch that, fantastic German food (eg sausage, sauerkraut, German potato salad, beer cheese, soft pretzels, etc.). If you don't like German food, fear not! They have plenty of American food (sandwiches, soups and salads). They also have fantastic desserts, a good beer selection, wines, candy, on and on.

Leslie T.

Yelp
We had lunch there today and had the most wonderful waitress Emily. She was so kind and attentive paying close attention to my husband's serious food allergies. She went above and beyond to be sure there was no cross contamination and said for us to let her know that he was ok this afternoon. He has Alpha Gal and symptoms don't show up for 4-6 hours after he eats. Emily, thanks to you, he's fine!!

C S.

Yelp
I am very familiar with E Street having gone to Mr. Dunderbachs since I was a child. I have routinely gone to Park Street since they opened. I would say I am a regular customer. Or I was until I was chronically ignored by the wait staff. I know I have no halitosis and I bathe regularly but what caused this? I have no idea. If they treat a regular customer like this, what are the rest of y'all going to experience? Yesterday I saw two wait staff hiding in the "outside break room" versus doing what I assume is their job which is not chatting with a coworker in the "outside break room" right? It was not crowded, it was early. We were noticed but after 15 minutes of no service we chalked this up to another bad experience where inexplicably you are ignored. I don't need to give y'all my money but like others have said you just need to drive to San Marco for better service. It's really sad that this is how this is now since this is very convenient to where I live. I ordered during COVID and was a loyal customer. I tip well. It was nice to take out of towners here too. No more. I wish this could be fixed but complaints to the manager are not helpful and just serve to make a bad experience that much worse. I don't expect to return. I have other places to spend my money and time but being ignored at a place I literally grew up going to is very sad.

Christie H.

Yelp
Our favorite lunch spot! The best happy hour if you enjoy good beer. The food is always great as well. Great little sandwich shop! Try the beer cheese soup - delicious!

Chris C.

Yelp
This the place for a great fresh sandwich at a very affordable price and very good service. The choices are in a very compact and extensive menu. So if you want a Traditional Rueben or Knockwurst and hot German Potato Salad and deli style kosher dill pickles? You can't go wrong

Leah A.

Yelp
This is a good lunch spot and they offer a plethora of items on their menu. I guess you can say their focus is on German/Middle Eastern/American/Vegan Bistro food and it seems to have something for everyone. Pretty impressive selection including regular and vegan-friendly desserts and candies. Don't forget to check out their imported European beer selection and specialty chocolates in the in-house general store near the register where you take your bill to check-out ***They have marzipan!*** This last visit, I enjoyed a huge Parmesan Chef's Salad and subbed the parm dressing with balsamic vinaigrette. Yah, I know. I just totally changed the entire salad, but I did ask for a sample of the parmesan dressing on the side. It was definitely delicious as a dip for the side of potato chips you get. I ordered a Reuben for my guy to-go and my waiter brought it out right before we finished our lunch. Perfect. Our waiter was very attentive and accommodating. He instructed me to just microwave it when I got home. We actually grilled it on the pan with some butter and it was excellent. I strongly suggest getting a take-out order of their Reuben on Rye. Simply good. Overall, I have frequented the ESC in San Marco and this one on Park is more conveniently located for me. I love that they have the outside seating option and have an assortment of drinks, food and desserts for their patrons. The manager here is very nice and knowledgeable about the European goodies. They have a lot more selection during the holidays as far as imported chocolates and candies so I will definitely be coming back very soon.

Michael S.

Yelp
Easily one of the best sandwich shops around. Great menu selection, huge selection of beer, good portion sizes, and beer cheese soup.. the wait staff are almost alway extremely friendly and the restaurant is usually very clean . Did I mention their beer cheese soup? If not.. it's very tasty.

Linda V.

Yelp
This is the original European Street Cafe hence it is smaller and parking is crowded! Inside though there is a lot of tables you don't feel on top of your neighbor. The menu has lots of options and I actually was having trouble deciding-but my husband right off, ordered a muffalotta. I had a chicken, with apple salad here before so I ordered it. The red apples were very good, chicken was too but less then before... but what I was disappointed in.....was the lettuce! Yes I am a lettuce snob and I don't like a lot of stump of lettuce; I had to do a lot of cutting it up too. The dressing that came with it raspberry was way too red.. I'm sure artificial; won't order that again! My husband loved his sandwich; I was jealous!

Graham K.

Yelp
Stopped in here on a rainy Friday afternoon as part of a walking exploration of Riverside/5 Points. It caught my eye from the street because of its unique architecture. It has a funky blue exterior and almost looks cartoony. Step inside and its a melange of beer-driven paraphernalia from Europe. Part bar, part restaurant, part bakery, part grocer, this place is really an amalgamation. I grabbed happy hour beers (2 for 1, and you don't have to pick the same one). Their taps are not terrible extensive. They didn't have one of the beers I was looking for but they were willing to swap for nitro cold brew coffee or kombucha. I cant comment on the food quality, but the menu offered pretty standard diner fare with a slight European slant adding sausages, krout, that kind of thing. Quaint, cute, interesting local spot.

Shasia C.

Yelp
The food was great and the service was excellent. The sandwich I had and the cheese cake. So good.

Deborah V.

Yelp
Omg ..I had the pickle sandwich! It was exactly what I wanted, everyone's food was excellent. None of expected to be able to eat our entire and meal, be we did?

Wayne K.

Yelp
The last 2 (in early December and Jan 8th, 2023) times I have come to this location, service was slow and food not hot - my daughter had to send her hot sandwich back due to being cold. My sandwich was not hot either, but I choose to eat it in its lukewarm state (seems sandwiches sat in kitchen area for a while before being served). We both really like the food, but with service and food temp issues, we will must likely goto the other locations, hoping it is isolated to this location.

Dan S.

Yelp
My spouse and i go here when we are in a sandwich mood! Their Chicken Salad and Tuna Salad are favorites we typically purchase internet or quarts of to take home. If you love either tuna salad or chicken salad, this is your spot.

Danielle H.

Yelp
If I could give 0 stars after that experience I would. Honestly, I just left feeling beyond disappointed and outraged by his place. Our server was busy, I'll give him that. However, not only was he barely present, the times he happened to grace us with his presence we were met with some serious sass. I know servers can feel overwhelmed, trust me. I've been there, but there is no excuse for treating people poorly. Ready for the cherry on top? He LIED straight to my face about the contents of their beer cheese soup. Once he realized I hadn't touched the soup, I mentioned it had pork and that I don't eat pork. (It wasn't listed on the menu) I should have asked if it had meat, that's on me and I accepted that. But then he had the audacity to tell me it was "soy infused with smoked flavoring" and asked if I would like to take it home. I felt stunned by this but declined taking it home. I decided to ask the man at the register the soup's contents because my husband tried it and swore up and down it was pork. He then told me it had ham in it. I feel like I shouldn't have to say this, but...YOU DO NOT LIE TO CUSTOMERS about dietary restrictions that could be harmful! I feel so outraged and sickened by my experience, almost on the brink of tears. I didn't ask for a refund, I didn't even say anything at all, but I really should have. That was immoral and completely unacceptable. Do yourself a favor, and stay away from this place, at least the Park location.

Katy R.

Yelp
I got the Princess Anna on gluten free bread. It was very filling and delicious! The gf bread option was good and it didn't fall apart while I was eating it like most gf breads do.

Amber A.

Yelp
It's nice to have a place where you can sit outside, eat a good sandwich, and drink a cold beverage in your neighborhood. That's what European Street in Riverside is to me. I sit outside under an umbrella, which has a picnic or outdoor beer garden feel. I usually order the European club with ham and roast beef ( I never finish it, so taking half of it home is a plus). You get a pickle and a generous portion of chips to accompany your meal. Yum!! Now, I'm not really a beer drinker, so I appreciate their varieties. I usually have the raspberry lambic or the grapefruit beer. My friends have tall glasses of light to dark beers and always seem pleased. This is a VERY casual restaurant. (Dress codes optional at times. Lol). And yes.... Some of my friends have complained about the smell of wet mopped beer and slow service. Because of those valid points, it gets 4 out of 5 stars. But people, if you want a plentiful, fun, casual, open minded and yummy experience.... Consider this option

Matt C.

Yelp
E Street Cafe provides a large menu, a comfortable outdoor patio, and a surprisingly wide array of epic beers for take home purchase. As far as the eats are concerned, expect a no frills lunch. The Reuben Special for example, with the addition of peppered pastrami, made this sandwich über satisfying. Smooth Thousand Island dressing and loads of sauerkraut rounded out this beast into a memorable one. Pro tip: Allie A. (of @YelpJax prominence) and I are quite fond of adding spicy mustard onto everything. We especially recommend adding it to the side of potato chips and the Reuben options here. Friendly faces and yummy bites made for a really fun, alfresco lunch. Check out the insanely afforable happy hour specials while you're here, too! Service could've been a bit faster, but I think the shift change played into our wait. Will definitely be back.

Andrew M.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a sandwich? I mean it is the most ubiquitous form of food around. However, sandwiches can get tiresome. If you're tired of the same old, same old, try something different. European Street offers something a little different. If you've ever wanted to sample a bit of Germany and that Bavarian culture then "E. Street" as I call it, is a must experience. Outside you'll find a fenced area where you can sit and enjoy the weather and people traffic. Inside European Street there's a bar where one can sit and enjoy a beer, or as many beers as you'd like. They have several on tap and plenty of seating. The menu has everything from savory appetizers such as warm baked Brie with apple slices to sweet side items like their German potato salad. The backbone of the menu are the sandwiches. European Street sandwiches are served on all types of breads and can be made to your preference. Some of E. Street's sandwiches do it big with their club style sandwiches. Three layers of bread with extra meat and toppings stuffed in between. You can't go wrong with The Red Baron (personal fave) or something spicier such as The Blue Max. All sandwiches come with potato chips and a pickle. You can substitute a side in lieu of chips or in addition to. Choice is yours. They also have heros and reubens! Can you say sandwiches! Oh, and if you love meat in tube form they've got you covered. Bratwursts. Kielbasas. The famous Monster German Weiner. And more. Like any good purveyor of sausages, E. Street has multiple mustards and all are excellent! A regular yellow mustard, a spicy brown, and a hot mustard which I absolutely love! E. Street also has soups, salads, options for vegetarians, and a kids menu section. Speaking of soups, they always have a variety of soups available, but the one constant is their beer cheese soup. Always available and always good, served with pretzel bread sticks. There's table service (inside & outside) and when you're done walk on over to their glass case of cookies and chocolates. The options. . .THE OPTIONS! "Oy!" doesn't cut it. There are selections galore. There's also plenty of beer and ale to-go options for purchase. Periodically, European Street hosts competitive eating contests. It's fun to come on out and watch how many sausages people can stuff down their throats in only a few minutes. Fun! I love E. Street because it's a comfortable place where you can get a great sandwich, tall beer and walk out totally satisfied knowing you got your money's worth.

Kim V.

Yelp
We haven't been to this place in 15 years so my husband wanted to try it again. Every dish was very mediocre. I had the cuban and my husband had the kielbasa with corned beef. We also ordered a cheese plate and the Middle Eastern sampler. We really wanted to like this place but the restaurant looked tired and outdated. All the customers were middle age so maybe coming here due to the past memories? I feel like there are so many options in Jacksonville that if this place doesn't make some major changes, it won't last long.

Yelp
So this has been in my list for way too long We finally made it and we couldn't be happier, it met all of our expectations. The menu is chockful of choices, it took us a solid 25 minutes to decide. I had the turkey Parisian that's a sandwich on a croissant with turkey, brie, cucumbers & raspberry sauce came with fresh chips on side! My guy had roast beef&brie on chiabatta bread and could nt resist the German theme of this restaurant and ordered a 2 sausage plate that came with sauerkraut, warm German potato salad made with a brown sauce that I happily helped him devour. They have a very extensive menu filled with all different types of sandwiches and plates to suit everyone s cravings. Outside is a patio area and of course the inside seating Along with a fully stocked bakery and tons of other mouthwatering treats to purchase. I will be back sooner than later

Yelp
Consistent, reliable.... 2 for 1 happy hour after 2pm... bar seating... patio seating... rotating great tap for beer, you can always count on the basics plus a great rotating selection! And you can get a great sandwich, salad, wrap, or salad... European street is such a Jacksonville favorite, beer lovers can't forget it for happiest of happy hours with all of their locations...
