Eurostar Brussels Terminal

Sadly there weren't any facilities to get hot food but very easy passage to wait for the Eurostar. Very quick security and passport checks, a big duty free shop with a spacious and very quiet waiting area

Absolutely Outrageous treatment! There was no one in line for immigration - no bag control - and they refused me to access the lounge area and try catch my train by principle - because check-in for gold now closes 30 mins before. I was there 27 mins before - and again no people in line This will big time disincentivize the train and instead have people take a plane which costs a lot less too

I love the Eurostar. But why does the experience need to be the one of an airport? End of 2025 they are nearing the completion of the renovations and I can only be sad as what is likely the result. A generic airport boutique and starbucks. Who wants this? The liminal space where everybody is the brightest blue light waiting as if in line at a hospital. Again who wants this? If you go for an airport experience make it Copenhagen, wood floors, great ambient lighting, local copenhagen champions like Gasolene grill could be could be Fernand Obb eg for bxl. Or Brussels Beer Project or a nice coffee place like MOK or Wide Awake. A little bit of joie de vivre please. If you want a newer good airport aestetic, look at DOROTHÉE MEILICHZONs CDG terminal 2

Super efficient security/border control... but why is it ok to just have fast food counters. I'm not asking for a full restaurant... but a simple, comfortable bar serving drinks and simple real food would be fantastic!

Chaotic, crazy queues, no information and surly staff. Had to join a queue that went around the building and lasted an hour , only to be turned away and told to come back in half an hour , so had to rejoin queue that took another hour . Then train delayed so missed connection. Very poorly organised

Dear, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my journey on 28 December, travelling from Amsterdam to London, which became one of the most distressing and traumatic travel experiences I have ever endured. Our train was terminated in Brussels after we were trapped onboard for approximately eight hours. During this time, passengers were given no food, no water, and no meaningful communication, and we were largely ignored and neglected by staff despite clear signs of distress among many passengers. When we finally arrived in Brussels at approximately 11:00–11:30 pm, the situation worsened. We were instructed to arrange our own accommodation and onward transport, despite the extremely late hour and the fact that no accommodation was available. No support, guidance, or duty-of-care arrangements were provided. Shortly after, passengers were rushed out of the station by security and staff, being told that we had to leave the premises. This was deeply upsetting and frightening, particularly for those of us who were alone, exhausted, and emotionally overwhelmed. Outside the station, I was placed in an unsafe situation and was nearly mugged. I genuinely do not know what would have happened to me without help. In stark contrast to the overall experience, I want to formally recognise and commend Abdul Haq and Lilybeth, members of your staff who showed extraordinary compassion, professionalism, and humanity. Abdul Haq, in particular, went above and beyond to help passengers who were emotional, unstable, and in distress. He took the time to attend to people when no one else would, offering reassurance, practical help, and safety. Abdul Haq was the only reason I felt supported that night, and I am deeply grateful to him. Without his intervention, I honestly do not know where I would be today. Both Abdul Haq and Lilybeth represent the very best of what Eurostar staff can be, and they deserve the highest possible recognition for their actions. This experience left me shaken, distressed, and feeling completely abandoned by Eurostar at a moment when duty of care was essential. I expect this incident to be investigated seriously, and I ask to be informed of what steps Eurostar will take to ensure that passengers are never again left without food, water, safety, or support in such circumstances. Not the most appealing terminal, but easy to find. Clear signs in Midi station and cannot be missed. There was renovations going on and waiting departure lounge was not very appealing. Still the operation was smooth and clear. Taxfree is also available.

If you’re not familiar with the Gare du Midi, you might find it confusing as IMO there is not enough signage. Look for the sign Channel Terminal. I always arrive early to avoid queues. I cannot say that there is a long line as I find that checking through goes fast. You just scan your ticket, put your stuff on the conveyor belt for scanning, go through the security line, the Belgian immigration, and the UK side and you’re through. For me, it’s easy and a major reason why a train is a great option to go to London. Inside, there are enough seats to accommodate passengers. The washrooms are not well-maintained, but at least you do not need to pay for its use as it is in most places in Belgium. The duty free is ok and the only place where you can grab coffee, water, soft drinks, and sandwiches. If you can, bring your own food as choices are limited and aboard the train, things are pricey.

So-so train station. Less than the most comfortable waiting area. Longer lines than you might like and not particularly great refreshments. I know it's just a train station and getting to 5 stars would probably take a fair amount of effort, but this is a bit disappointing. The best part is that the Eurostar high-speed train from here to London is an amazing way to do it. You get to go from city center to city center in ~2 hours while being on a train that lets you walk around instead of being crammed in a seat buckled into a plane. The actual station though is just fine. There's no nice waiting area before or after the security screening. The security screening itself is a longer line and more of a hassle than you'd like for a train. I get that they have to treat it like a border crossing post-Brexit, but it's still frustrating. Beyond that the only real place to get a snack or drink is a single, pretty sad duty free shop.

Eurostar is an international high-speed rail service in Western Europe: Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. We rode on the Eurostar to Amsterdam. The ride was about two hours, and I was asleep most of the way. It was a convenient mode of travel.

Eurostar - Bad and greedy company. (Nothing to do with Brussels train station.) The refund policy of Eurostar sucks. Even if you want to change the time in the space of an hour you will get only 40 % of your booking. Even the flight companies have a 24 hours cancellation policy. What is going on with this greedy company? I will never ride the Eurostar again. Just get the bus, a little longer but 50 % of the Eurostar price and very flexible.

Busy dark terminal that we arrived from Amsterdam to switch trains to go to the U.K. If you have a first class ticket you can stay in the lounge until you board your train. However, tons of suits and you may feel out of place in jeans! It's hectic and not very well managed in terms of waiting in line to board the train. It was crowded and thankfully our train was the only one boarding so we knew to stand in the crowd/aka line to board. We literally made it in time to meet our next train so thankfully did not have stay in this gloomy terminal. If you have to use public restrooms you need two euros. There was a man asking for money while we stood in line. Walking thru border/passport with ease and no lines. Not running back to do this again, a bit too anxiety filled for me.

I'm stuck at home without the prospect of travel on the horizon anytime soon. I miss the simple act of relocation. Sometimes, a new environment can help reveal a truth. There's a fuck ton of introspection and self-improvement happening in the eye of this pandemic storm. Hopefully, I'll come out the other side a better version of myself. Anyway, I spend a lot of time thinking about previous travel. This Brussels to Amsterdam route is a lot less stressful than an airport and (after factoring in checkin and security screening and airport chaos) a shorter time investment. The train itself is well appointed with comfortable seats and meal service. Beer and wine are available for pre-gaming your a Belgian Brewery tour. The staff is friendly and multilingual which allowed for gracious correction of my ham fisted attempts at both Dutch and French. They were kind and welcoming despite my poor language skills.

Smooth transition transfer , service is awesome Snacks are ok Good selection of drinks except not enough diet good experience :) Easy and smooth check ins very clean and neat

OMG!! Such a long line on the weekend I was traveling! But I stayed calm and carried on and from start to finish it took me 45mins from pretty close to end of the line to sitting in my seat. That line really does move fast - a guard checks what train you are on, then you go thru Belgium police security, then British Passport control (I filled out the form but the UK Passport guy barely glanced at it!) and then your bags get x-rayed and only then do u go thru a set of doors, where the walkway splits (depending on your carriage number) going up to the actual rail platform. Pretty impressed with the experience overall - but i think my personal preference is for the car journey - gives you more control over your departure times!

Never expected such an interesting terminal for a train. Stayed there for almost 3 hrs due to train delay . Spacious hall for passengers of 1 train. But if a second train arrives it's getting extremely full. All in all an old school waiting hall with 1 restaurant and expensive prices

You have to arrive AT LEAST 1h in advance during WE because the lazy Belgian custom don't open more desk than off peak + security check are very slow. Pathetic service from Belgian custom. Dark and gloomy waiting room with an overpriced restaurant. The only two good thing about it: Belgian beer and Pierre Marcolini chocolate.

I was at check in and was greeted by two lovely members of staff who happen to be from the U.K They both made my last few moments in Brussels a cheerful one. The terminal itself is very clean and spacious. The waiting area is huge but there wasn't much to do. I was there on a weekday so it was very quiet.

For a train terminal it is neat and relatively spacious with just about enough seats throughout for everyone in the train. The customs/border control part flow smoothly and staff friendly and helpful There is only one cafe located inside the terminal so if you like choice then I would suggest grabbing something from the main train terminal which has an extensive range of food available Once the gates open there is the usual mad dash for the train, which is the same anywhere, but it works out ok Just note not all Eurostar train carriages have power points near seats

Cleaner certainly than any American train station, recently took the first (8am on Tues) Eurostar chunnel train from Brussels Midi to London arriving early in the morning. Allow time for security and border control (arriving an hour early imperative). But for morning departures, past security there's a decent chocolate shop good for gifts (they wrap gift boxes of chocalate beautifully) and a decent breakfast/coffee/morning pastry fast food shop. Lines not bad for food at all. Tables clean in the morning. The overall place is quite dark, which is an odd mood setter. But Eurostar train was more than an hour late getting into St. Pancras station in London. Train stopped 7 times due to mechanical issues/snow. Made me late for my business meeting in the City of London. I thought that Amtrak had commandeered the train! Instead of arriving at 930am, the train arrived after 10.30am throwing off morning meetings. I am surprised that an earlier train does not run on Tuesdays; 8am was the earliest train to London.

Booked a ticket from Frankfurt to London, had a connection in Bruxelles. Got hella lost trying to find our station (the tickets were in German) and ended up getting to the station exactly at 10:56, when the train was scheduled to depart. The staff said we were too late and shut the gates, no refunds, no exchanges, and we would have to buy new tickets... which were 440 euros. We received an email that the train was delayed so they could have let us on, they just chose not to. They offered to book OUI bus tickets for 74 euros to make it to London. The bus is scheduled for 1:45, we showed up an hour early, have been waiting over an hour with a bunch of people and it still hasn't shown up. Good news is people from all around also waiting for this bus are super friendly, bad news is Eurostar staff managing customers boarding the train are the most inconsiderate, rude people we've interacted with and did anything to basically screw us over. I'll be surprised if we even make it to our destination

The staff here was extremely helpful. I didn't have my passport and needed an extension. They also provided me with information on the local transport which was quite nice. Overall I received the best customer service there than anywhere else I'd been in Brussels.
