It’s perhaps on a rare occasion I review, but Evans definitely deserves it. I wouldn't be so arrogant to call myself a chef, however several people truly enjoy my projects and request I prepare the food at larger events. I stumbled across Evan’s one day in my hunt for A5 Wagyu that I was preparing on a Japanese food event, where I prepared sushi sashimi and several types of Wagyu grades and cuts. If I’m not mistaken they have the Kagoshima Filet, perhaps the best quality I’ve found in Dallas available outside of restaurants to the local enthusiast. Anyways since then I’ve featured Evans in several events but this time I wanted to make them the star of the show. I had an event for approximately 47 people preparing sous vide Duroc pork chops over a wild rice carnaroli rice mushroom risotto, reverse seared and topped with a cherry gastrique, (I should’ve taken better photos but after cooking all day I didn’t even think to plate appropriately and take great pictures) I preordered my chops with a deposit and unfortunately that’s where things got a little rougher. There were several unfavorable discrepancies with my order, which if they’re small and only one or two it’s fine but it was quite a few which gave me extra hurdles as a culinary artist to overcome which entailed a larger time commitment, more money, and more stress. I ended up calling my point of contact Jessica back and explained everything. She felt bad and had to talk to the owners. And then they made it right. Which is what I normally would say but they actually made it better than right. They went above and beyond and overcame all my frustrations and then some! They acknowledged everything and truly blew me away. Now I can’t say enough good things about Evans Meat market because everything from their quality of food, to their customer service, to the heart of the organization exudes top notch, and I’m extremely grateful I trusted them with my order. That being said I hope you will trust them as well anytime you seek top quality. Thank you so much Jessica and Evans meat market for everything! I can’t wait for my next event I feature yall!

We finally decided to try Evan’s Meat Market after driving past it innumerable times. You are greeted with a clean and “upscale” feeling when you enter. The meat cases are full of fresh-looking selections. We picked up some Andouille sausage and bacon. They make po’ boys in house, which gives us another reason to come back!

Just walked over for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered a full pastrami po boy with all of the fixings, some chips, and a topo. The sandwich was incredible - meat was flavorful, perfectly sliced, and a generous portion. The Cajun mustard was the star of the show! We didn’t end up getting any prepared food or meat to go but everything looked delicious and we’ll definitely be back.

Evan’s Meat Market offers a fat, delicious Po’Boy, with a great meat selection, all the fixin’s, exceptional customer service. If you are in the DFW area, craving a sandwich… Evan’s Meat Market is a must.

Evans is the best meat market in dallas. From cleanliness, experience in store, to selection. The staff is always kind and welcoming, but bottom line - you can’t go wrong with any of the meats!! The steaks are the best and we also enjoy the chicken drumettes. 10/10 recommend

The most delicious Po’ Boy sandwich ever!😋 Nice and hefty — perfect for lunch. You can really tell their meats are high quality and super fresh. My favorite is the chicken salad, it’s so savory and flavorful. A must-try if you’re in the area!🔥

Visited recently for the first time in need of a quite large portion of whole trimmed tenderloin. They were able to get me something trimmed and ready within about 20 minutes and was exactly what I needed. Great service and super high quality prime filet that was worth the price tag.

Yelp
I saw the sandwiches and figured I'd stop in. I'm a sucker for bologna. I order a whole bologna sandwich for $12.00. And the guy behind the counter keeps slicing. And slicing. And slicing. And slicing. And eventually I tell him, "I'm good. That's plenty" He says, "No it's not. Yer gonna learn why you're supposed to order a half" and continues slicing. Joke's on him. Ate the whole thing. It was a banger. I'll be back.

Yelp
Ok so if you know me then you know I hate American sandwiches. For me to go out and try their sandwiches, you know I must have heard it was the bomb somewhere and from multiple people to be convinced. Word of mouth spread fast in the food community. First time in and tried their roast beef. My god, what did yall put in this? I looked at the sandwich several times to figure out what it was. All the same ingredients you would find everywhere else. The meat is what makes it special. Roast beef was the bomb. I heard about their pastrami, too. Will try that next time. You can order half or whole size. Whole is two meals. It's way too much for one person. Sandwiches are huge and will fill you up. Grab and go, no sit down

Yelp
I can't believe that Evan's doesn't have more reviews! Probably because the locals already have the intel that this is the best meat in town. If you're not cooking Sunday steak dinner with Evan's cuts, you're missing out. And their pastrami is the best I've ever had. Thinly sliced and nearly translucent, never fatty, smoked and perfectly seasoned, addictive, can be eaten alone or dipped in Dijon mustard with a side of crunchy pickles. My fridge is not complete without a half-pound, butcher papered package of Evan's pastrami. What more can you want? Run, don't walk, to Evan's!
