EVA's best feature is no doubt the design of the space. It is unique with it's rounded columns, modern-industrial grey tones and intricate art pieces that adorn the restaurant. The service here was friendly and cheerful. My server didn't really interact with me after I was served, but I was sitting by the bar and the girl who was working there happily engaged me in conversation, which is always appreciated when I'm dining solo.
I went for the skytower plate, which I have mixed feelings on. The feature of the dish, the mini pancakes, were superb. I was unsure about the savory butter they were using as pancakes are sweet, however it worked very well. The texture of the pancakes was immaculate. 1-2 more could have been added to really justify the dish's name however. The other parts of the plate were pretty standard. The one part that did disappoint me is that I like my eggs poached and they told me they don't do poached eggs. This is the first time I've heard this at a brunch restaurant, and for how well this place presents itself I was surprised at the limitation. I have to say that the quality of the dish did not justify the price at all. They need to have at least one more item on this plate. I did not have a beverage, just this place and my bill was around $35. The portion-to-price ratio here is a weak point- brunch is meant to be filling, especially a plate like this.
