Google keeps having a problem with me writing a glowing and long review of how great this place was, so I'll try to keep it short:
This is excellent craft cocktailing, and you can tell when the bar program has a chef's input. There is so often a much more rounded and interesting array of drinks and flavours. Between the chef and the bar team, they've done a fantastic job of creating a menu with a lot of variety and artful applications of molecular cuisine and cocktail techniques.
The menu is a JOY to read. Even if you know nothing about cocktails, it's full of information about each drink and organized exceptionally well. I knew exactly what I was getting from the menu. Very accurate.
And all the staff... who were absolutely lovely! So warm, so welcoming, so helpful, and so talented. Some of the best bar and serving staff we met in London ever. I can't say a bad word about the experience at all.
The space as well is cosy. The ambiguous religious iconography, the ambiance, the music, the sophistication... all wonderful. It works so awesome together. It's dark, but not in a musty church basement way, but in a feeling of a bit otherworldly. I can't even explain the vibe. But I love it. I can't wait to come back again.
