Whether you sit inside or outside on the picnic benches, the kitchen here has perfected homemade comfort food from its breakfast omelets, pancakes, soups, salads, and sandwiches to the decadent burgers." - Tierney Plumb, Claudia Rosenbaum

My husband and I tried this restaurant for breakfast this morning. Based on the reviews, I have seen that often times there is a weight to be seated, so we made sure to be there when they opened at 8 AM. We were sat promptly and we're looking at the menu when people started pouring in. So, reviews were correct. I would definitely get there early or plan to wait. The restaurant is very cute. It looks like a house and is decorated with different kind of art. Our waitress was very friendly and personable. She brought us our coffee promptly and was back right when we were ready to order. My husband ordered the feed the navy omelette. It's full of meat, like steak, Italian sausage, and bacon. He said it was very good and flavorful. I kept it simple and ordered pancakes with chocolate chips. The pancakes are huge and they were not stingy with the chocolate chips.LOL Overall, we were pleased with our experience. If you're looking for a quaint restaurant, with friendly staff and a unique menu, you should definitely give them a try!

Took my dad for lunch and this place was amazing. The food was delicious. The ingredients were fresh. The restaurant was clean. The kitchen was clean as well. Highly recommend!

Google
Cute cafe style breakfast spot with large sculptures of fruits and veggies out front and local art on the wall for sale inside. It’s adorably priced and worth a try. Cappuccinos were good. Down side is that the milk choice is limited to whole milk or almond. Smoked salmon plate: beautiful presentation to assemble yourself. Toast needed more time; it was more like bread. The marble rye was a nice touch. Generous portion of smoked salmon. Tomato was bright and ripe. The cucumber added a good crunch texture. Breakfast burrito with home fries: home fries had a couple bell peppers and onions mixed in, but would have benefitted from a few more. Burrito had a nice balance between the eggs and veggies. The veggies were obviously fresh. Salsa was very mild.

Google
Excellent service, comfortable Cafe, fantastic food, mediocre coffee. The pancakes were excellent, the chorizo is nice and spicy and flavorful, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the visit, but could have used some better coffee. What we received was overwhelmingly burnt and we tried to drown it out with cream but really was difficult to drink. Otherwise a great shop. I'm probably be back but will skip the coffee

Google
Lovely local spot for a good quality and well priced breakfast. We had the breakfast burrito and the breakfast hash bowl. Excellent! Our plates were completely empty at the end. Casual, no frills, but good quality food.

Google
I was in the area for work and actually just popped in here for a cuppa coffee, not even hungry. While I was waiting on the coffee, I asked to look at a menu. I saw the sweet potato biscuits with gravy and had to order it to give a try. FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC!!! a wonderful place with a wonderful staff. I shall return..

Came here for breakfast. Pancakes here are worth ordering; definitely above average compared to your typical breakfast place. The home fried potatoes were below average. I think they use frozen cubed potatoes. Service was pleasant and prompt. Atmosphere is good.

Solid local brunch establishment! Good variety of options and good portion sizes. Table service is friendly but not particularly quick. Lovely place for a low key meal with friends.

Yelp
Ordered takeout for a group of 10 from Evelyn's on a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised when the order was ready within 20 minutes! The sandwiches and salads were all good, especially for being takeout. I have heard about the long waits at Evelyn's at breakfast, so recommend giving it a try for takeout or lunch instead sometime!

Yelp
My husband and I ate here for breakfast it was good! It seems busy no matter the day of the week but street parking was nice

Cory N.

Yelp
Super duper place for breakfast or brunch. The ambiance is casual and homey. Service is friendly and familiar. I had the Weems creek omelette with egg whites English muffin and bacon. They were happy to accommodate my requests like it was a common occurrence and that was their speciality. I also had a decaf tea which was readily available. No request was too mundane for them. Service was timely and well paced. Remember to tip well.

Charles M.

Yelp
This is a quaint and unassuming little breakfast restaurant in Annapolis. I tried to park on the street but there was nothing available so I parked across the street. Upon walking in it seems homely and there is a chill vibe. They told me to sit wherever I wanted. I was brought a menu and decided on smoked salmon. Its presentation was more like a deconstructed sandwich. I didn't really enjoy the food but that's my fault for ordering the wrong item. Next time I will grab something else. It seemed like everyone else was enjoying their food.

TJ B.

Yelp
I'm glad this place is here, but I don't really like it. Service is friendly but inattentively slow. Breakfast platters are all underwhelming. The sandwiches and salads seem good, so I'd go there for your options. Fries are your fairest portion of sides. I keep trying this place because everyone praises it but I really don't get it. It is clean, it's friendly, it's not a franchise and it seems to create jobs for a lot of young adults in the area... kind of like, the neighborhood kid's first waiting job kind of place. So that's nice. The coffee is good but you have to throw out a lasso to get anyone to notice it needs refilled. Last time we were there we ordered 3 meals and 2 of them were wrong. It was just poor order entry by the waitress. I like going out for breakfast. It is one of the easiest meals to make at home, but it's a treat and you want to be served something at least as good as you could make it and hopefully better. The egg platters are so minimal and boring. The potatoes are a small portion of, I think, fried potato cubes mixed with onions and peppers. Meat portion is small also. I got the hash one morning and the corned beef was so tough, overcooked and fatty it was indelible. The person who cooked it clearly had no pride in what they were serving. That said, I have seen food go past that looks better than what I order. There is a fried goat cheese salad that looks nice. Some of the sandwiches are fair portions and if you get fries it's a good sized meal. The cuban, some sort of grilled chicken sandwich and the burrito all look good. After 4 visits, though, I think I'll take a break from Evelyn's for a while. There are a lot of breakfast/lunch places I like better; Chick & Ruth, Iron Rooster, Blue Rooster, Naval Bagel, and even the Sunday brunch at Cantler's is a nice portion and service. (That's a winter '24 special. Call to see if that continues)

Yelp
Came here for breakfast after getting haircuts and sat outside for a great start to a fall weather day. We were sat and brought waters quickly and given menus to glance at. I fortunately had been given recommendations from a friend and both of us decided to order those. The food was so good! I had the Cuban sandwich, which I hadn't had since college in Florida. Great artesanal bread, pickles, and mustard. The sandwich pork could have been more spiced, but it did have flavor. My husband had the sweet potato biscuits and gravy. He said it was the best chorizo gravy he has ever had! The biscuits were unique, small but packed with flavor and real pieces of sweet potato. Definitely would come back here for another meal. Yelp
If you haven't been to Evelyn's, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! These days we are all trying to eat healthier & be served fresher foods. Evelyn's knocks it out of the park with their "Field to Table" mentality. Every time I come the service & food has been WONDERFUL!...(11 yrs strong) and sourced from local farms. I have done a lot of traveling and next to being in Cuba, the only place I've been able to find a Cuban sandwich is Evelyn's.

Buonarotti G.

Yelp
Not a bad looking little place very nice staff food was OK but not great. Poached eggs were done properly. They were pretty small eggs, but they were poached. The way eggs are supposed to be poached. They had the worst pancakes I've ever eaten anywhere, including time I served in the Air Forceand summer camp as a kid. Their pancakes were like rubber. I couldn't even cut them with a fork when they were douse with syrup. I doubt that I'll ever be going back there again.

Everett T.

Yelp
Sort of slow to get food to the table but overall good spot for breakfast! The atmosphere isnt bad as well

Bonnie C.

Yelp
Solid food choice for a breakfast in an adorable little bistro. The food was very good. The omelette good and the sweet potato biscuits and gravy were good also.

Penny W.

Yelp
We eat at Evelyn's regularly. Their breakfast foods are reliably good and portions for everything on the menu are generous. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful even at the busiest times. The dining area is simple cafe with plenty of paintings by local artists on the walls to keep my eyes entertained while waiting for my meal. Their lunch menu includes a variety and what we have tried has always been tasty. But we seem to cycle back to the Ruben often.

Noel L.

Yelp
Food: Good Service: s l o w! No refill on coffee or water. Our breakfast took over 30 minutes. Ambiance: clean with a lot of nice art work,

Bob B.

Yelp
My first impressions are not good. This is an open kitchen and I watched my food get prepared after others and the wait was just didn't make sense since it wasn't that busy. The food however is very good and fresh. Fantastic burrito.

Steve S.

Yelp
Very happy with the quality of food and the service. We were a group of 8 and chose to sit inside. We had no problem hearing each other because the noise level was minimal. It was a great restaurant. They didn't rush us. Everyone had something different and everyone was very pleased. I had the pancakes and they also offered gluten-free options for us as well.

Ruth K.

Yelp
Got the veggie omelette, asked for goat in it and it was great side salad great too. Seemed quieter this time, maybe there is carpet now? I didn't notice. All was well except for the snarky waitress. She did what she was supposed to but with attitude.

Madeleine B.

Yelp
Great spot! Worth getting there early Love their food, atmosphere and service It's a great neighborhood place!

Crystal C.

Yelp
Great for lunch. Tables a tad small (I like some room to spread out). Menu great. I wish they would open for dinner, with the same price point, plus option for a glass of wine. This more child friendly setting is missing in Annapolis.

Allison N.

Yelp
Decent brunch! I've never been to Annapolis so we met up with some friends here last weekend. The restaurant is pretty popular and there were a lot of people waiting to be seated as soon as they opened at 10 AM. The wait wasn't very long! I ordered a make your own omelet with chorizo, cheddar and spinach, with a side of home fries. The omelet was pretty cheesy, but kind of basic. The home fries were also pretty basic, a little over cooked so they were dry. Overall I thought it was a decent brunch spot but nothing totally blew me away about the experience. Cute though!

Rebecca C.

Yelp
At 10 AM on a Sunday, it was surprisingly a short wait! We were seated within 5 minutes. Once seated, our waiter brought the menu and asked if we wanted water. After bringing the water, the waiter did not return for quite some time. Finally, we flagged down another waiter, who quickly took our order. We did not let the waiter know how long we had been waiting to order... however, we waited a total of 37 minutes (after receiving our waters). Ironically, once we looked like we were close to finishing, our original waiter came back and asked if there was anything we needed. The food was delicious though!

Leonard G.

Yelp
Good food, a little pricey, great location. Stop here when I have a lunch out in Annapolis

Dave W.

Yelp
We always have a great meal at Evelyn's restaurant. It's a perfect location in West Annapolis and service is excellent!

Elisa P.

Yelp
Solid brunch spot. Nothing super fancy, but we ordered 4 different things from the menu and they were all tasty. I think my burrito was the best of the four Coffee was good, staff was friendly and attentive, and the establishment was cute. We'll be back!

Meredith I.

Yelp
Went to Evelyn's yesterday morning for breakfast- it was great! Went with my daughter son-in-law and granddaughter. They were quite busy but we're able to seat us right away. Our waiter came right over and put in an order for our granddaughter right away. She had a plate of pancakes and sausage in front of her in the blink of an eye ! Everything we had was delicious! I had crab quiche and a side of sausage. My daughter got the huevos rancheros which looked amazing- quite a generous portion. Son in law got a breakfast burrito which he loved. Also a large serving. Would definitely go back here or recommend. Sorry no pictures-

Dave H.

Yelp
Nope, won't be back. Apparently they stop seating inside at 1:30. I walked in at 1:35 (on a hot and humid day) and was scolded by the wait staff. "You can take it to go, but you can't eat in here!" I was told. Sorry, I'll just go somewhere else.

Amy H.

Yelp
For a city filled with amazing brunch places, this place was subpar. Atmosphere: there was outdoor seating which is nice for the summer and fall time. There isn't much shade though if you go later in the day. The indoor seating had a lot of flies flying around, not sure if it was just the day we went or all the time. Food: food was all right and satisfied any breakfast food cravings you may have. The menu serves the standard items you would expect for a breakfast place, the portions are somewhat small for the price you pay though.

Christine S.

Yelp
I usually like to leave positive reviews, but I just can't do it this time. While the wait staff was nice, I do not recommend this establishment. The food was mediocre. My daughter got the Ruben and could not bite the pieces off b/c it was so tough. My husband got corned beef hash and said it was very tough, and unenjoyable. I got a chipotle chicken panini that lacked flavor. I expected chicken slices or pieces. Instead it was an entire chicken breast slapped between two slices of bread with cheese and lettuce. I read the reviews and was excited to check this place out. Unfortunately, we were disappointed.

Dave M.

Yelp
Great breakfast food and fast service. A must try for breakfast. Coffee is also very good ( I am a coffee snob).

Jenny C.

Yelp
Good food. Reasonably priced. Good service. There is enough space to hold a lunch meeting on one side of the restaurant providing some privacy.

Candi D.

Yelp
The sweet tea was very good. Cream of crab was good but very rich. Buffalo chicken Cesar was very large. Service was decent. The servers worked together to get the job done, which was good to see. Would like to return to try the French toast. Little pricey. In a cool area with consignment shops. Outside seating!

Chelsea W.

Yelp
Went for breakfast on Sunday, April 30th. I had avocado toast and my husband had a hash bowl. My breakfast was one slice of bread with avocado and underripe tomato slices. My side of home fries was clearly cooked from frozen and had absolutely no flavor or seasoning. My husband's "hash bowl" was eggs and home fries on a plate - also had no flavor. Service was slow and I had to wait over 20 minutes for the server to collect our payment. Our iced coffees were delicious and the restaurant was clean and quiet. Overall, though, it wasn't anything to call home about.

Myra C.

Yelp
Very good restaurant! Always came for breakfast but just learned you can order from the lunch menu all day. This made me happy because there wasn't anything on the breakfast menu that appealed to me. Decided to take a chance and ordered an egg salad sandwich, it was delicious. Like an egg salad a la BLT. Friendly service, fresh ingredients, and good coffee.

Aleks B.

Yelp
Food is solid. Quality of the ingredients is solid and customer service has been good. Prices just a bit high especially since the proportions are a bit smaller than you would expect in the United States. My reviews are graded according to the places i have been in the area.

Carlesa F.

Yelp
Fresh and delicious food, friendly and responsive service, and a great location! This was our first and definitley not our last visit. The sweetpotato pancakes were scrumptious! I got blueberries and walnuts IN mine! Yum. We loved the tea options. The staff worked well together and were accommodating when we wanted to move away from the draft - even when the seating is limited. We were glad for the back partking lot and entrance. We do hope their expansion includes a bit more waiting space with their plans for additional seating!

Robert P.

Yelp
I have only been here once and ordered an omelet. It was a pretty good omelet. The service was ok (missing silverware, asked for extra plates twice after the waitress forgot). I'll give it another shot with their lunch menu and update.

Tom B.

Yelp
We were in Town to watch our son pitch for Lafayette vs Navy and stopped into this hopping spot on Sunday morning for a pre-game breakfast. Small wait for a table but well worth it. I had the Feed the Navy omelet which had steak, sausage, bacon, cheddar cheese and it was cooked perfectly with a side of very good and hot hash browns and some kick butt marbled toast. Joyce went with a lunch option - loved her chicken salad sandwich with a chickpea salad on the side and a pickle. She still had coffee with it which reminded me of her mother but that's a different review to write some other time. Coffee was excellent and our server, Lauren J, was terrific. Glad we checked on Yelp and found this gem.

Ian G.

Yelp
This is the second time we have been here and while the establishment is nice and clean. The price increases are absolutely absurd. The images on yelp showing their menu prices are 50% lower then what they currently are. I understand inflation but these prices are not the case, they are that of greed. Again the establishment is nice and the food is average but neither of those reflect the prices. If you wish to throw $17 away not including tip for two eggs and a sausage, just let me know and I have some ocean front property in Arizona I can sell you.

Katie B.

Yelp
This review is strictly from the service standpoint because we were never able to order food. We walked in to wait to be seated since that is what the sign said. There were a couple of women in front of us, so we stood and waited. We looked at the menu and saw various workers walking around. After 10 minutes of no one acknowledging us we decided to seat ourselves at an open table outside. We sat for another 5-10 minutes and decided to leave since we still were unable to get acknowledged. I understand when people are busy, but a simple hello, we will be with you in a minute goes a long way. I personally felt unwelcome in the restaurant. I don't want to pull the race card, but I can't think of any other reason for being completely ignored and the unwelcome looks from the customers patronizing the business. We won't be back.

Andre P.

Yelp
Good food. Reasonably priced. Can be too loud. Dining inside and outside. Local favorite.

Michele D.

Yelp
First time visit. Inside decor is disappointing, dull. Strange entrance and view of the kitchen. Entire place seemed run by teenagers and not very good. Slow to see our waiter and waited too long to get our food. Food was just ok and not well presented on the plate. Probably won't return.

Marrio D.

Yelp
Breakfast should not be this expensive, it's just eggs and some flour. Would have got twice the amount of food at doubletree diner.

Karen A.

Yelp
Great service in a bright and cheerful environment. My selection was very tasty well seasoned and served hot. I enjoyed my omelette (Fish in the barnyard). The salmon with spinach mushrooms and goat cheese was an excellent combo. I also must mention the coffee was good too.

Rob B.

Yelp
Beautiful, lots of upgrades but otherwise looks and menus like Regina's. Wonderful boy at the counter was a rockstar. I ordered what I used to always get at Regina's, a Scrapple Egg and Cheese sandwich on rye toast. Unfortunately the bead is Texas toast, the Scrapple was wafer thin. Eggs were nice but Stephanie we miss you.

Maria A.

Yelp
Must stop and try. The staff was great and very personable. The table next to us was all locals and the staff knew their orders and names. There were three of us and we all loved our food. We ordered the stuffed avocado special, chicken and goat cheese sandwich and the chorizo burrito. The perfect amount of food.

Betsi W.

Yelp
Incredibly friendly service and the food was fantastic. They were busy when we stopped in for lunch, but our food and drinks came out quickly regardless, the staff continued to be kind, and I'm definitely planning to return on my next trip in the area!

Sharon H.

Yelp
Nice breakfasts place. Not very big but cozy. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The food pretty average but all in all we enjoyed it and would go again.

Lia H.

Yelp
Evelyn's has been on my "must try" list for quite some time. I ate here with my dad on a Friday around 12:30pm. The restaurant was packed outside and most of the tables were taken inside. We were told to sit wherever we liked. It took about 25-30 minutes to get our food. Not bad for a crowded Friday. We ordered: - Soup of the Day: Italian Wedding: Very hearty! I liked the taste. It's definitely a soup for a cold day. - Chicken & Cheddar Panini (chicken breast, cheddar cheese, bacon, avocado) with chips and pickle: Very good! The chicken wasn't dry. It had plenty of avocado, bacon, and cheese. I loved the waffle chips with seasoning. - Hash Bar (steak) with 2 eggs, toast, and home fries: My dad liked everything but the steak hash. The steak pieces were burnt to a crisp and tough as nails. At first, he thought they left the steak out (you can see from the photos they blend in with the potatoes) but he realized the dark burnt pieces were the steak. The potatoes were burnt and overdone as well. Very disappointing. My dad liked the 2 eggs and the toast was fine even though it was burnt along the edges. Sadly, the service we received wasn't as great as others have experienced. We were pretty much ignored compared to the other tables she had. She came over almost immediately after we sat down and gave us menus. We told her it was our first time eating there and we were excited. She went right into the drink order. She couldn't have cared less. She didn't suggest anything or mention what their restaurant was about (they support local farmers and have chalkboard list inside of the farms and where they are, sustainability, organic ingredients, etc) like we heard another server tell their table. We got our drinks shortly after. We were ready to order but she quickly walked away without saying a word and didn't come back for quite some time. While we waited for our food, she came by to refill my dad's tea. She spilled quite a bit of tea on the table. She walked away and never acknowledged it. There's no way she didn't see it while pouring. It was bizarre. We used our spare 2 napkins to sop up the mess. She spent most of her time chatting up patrons at a table outside. She never asked how our meal was. Towards the end of our meal, it seemed like she was trying to rush us out of the restaurant so they could turn over the table. Parking was a bit confusing. We were able to park on the street on the side of the building (make sure you read all posted signs!) You can use the the lot directly behind their building. The lot says it's private and doesn't say Evelyn's name, but a server we asked confirmed you can park there. Just a heads up for anyone wondering. I would be willing to give Evelyn's another try. I liked what I saw from the menu. My dad said he would pass. I did enjoy my meal. My dad only enjoyed part of his. If I do return, I hope I get a different server from the one we had.

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
A very cute little spot! I happened to be in the area with a friend and we needed a spot to for a victory lunch. I was very happy to find this little place. It served breakfast and lunch food too! It was affordable and a hopping little place at 11 am on a weekday! The waitress was very nice and friendly too! When we walked in, there were two signs that pointed in 2 different directions, one for dine in and one for carry out. We followed the sign and sat ourselves. It wasn't very long before the waitress came and gave us our menus. We had our drinks before us lickity split too! I ordered the pig in a bacon blanket. It came with home fries and 2 eggs ordered over easy. It was a perfect sized meal and delicious on every count! There really isn't anything bad I could say about this place nor would I want to. Great Spot!

Angela G.

Yelp
I've only been for breakfast and brunch but the food and customer service was very good. I'll definitely go back.
