Evelyn's Coffee & Banh Mi

Highly recommend!! My banh mi sandwich was outstanding. Very delicious and affordable. I got the Korean beef, it tasted fresh and flavorful. You can get it with or without jalapenos. I also enjoyed my shaken espresso. They have a large menu for drinks and food. The Kitchen starts offering food at 10:30am. I'm excited to come back and try something new on the menu. There's about 5 or 6 tables and a bar area. Plenty of space to work remotely. They also have free Wi-Fi and areas to charge a computer. I didn't see a public bathroom.

Came searching for Bahn Mi, found an amazing assortment of our favorite Vietnamese food! Plus, delicious and unique coffee/matcha flavors. Great prices and friendly staff. They made #1 in our list of favorite restaurants.

Very cool spot in downtown Akron in the Basement of an old office building. Cool atmosphere and plenty of seating. Vietnamese coffee is very different and very good. Drink it slow so the ice can melt and dilute the strength. Sweet too. Very good!!

The best damn banh mi in town - easily. You can't go wrong with anything on the food menu but I especially recommend the Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi and the Vietnamese egg rolls. The location itself is cool/cozy and the employees are always friendly and helpful. Treat yourself - trust me. (oh and the coffee drinks are great too - they really have character and stand out, especially the Vietnamese coffee.)

Love the twist of both authentic Korean and Vietnamese food in one place. The banh mi, kimbap to their Vietnamese coffee and boba was on point. Definitely going back for many more dishes. Love the look of the shop.

Checked out this awesome now Mom and Pop place in downtown Akron. Tucked into an unassuming corner with free parking off to the side, this is a cute little coffee shop that specializes in Vietnamese coffee, sweet, strong and creamy. They also have traditional coffee items and pastries as well as some authentic southeast Asian street foods like multiple varieties of Ban Mi sandwiches. My favorite was the chicken meatball but we also enjoyed the Dac Biet. There was no jalapeños in the sandwiches, but I didn't miss them. Taro milk tea with Boba was creamy and delicious, not too sweet which I appreciated. Papaya Salad was delicious--crunchy tart and and refreshing. We also enjoyed the Vietnamese salad, and actually enjoyed putting it into our Banh Mi's. My kids went to town on the Boba tea. The staff were polite and professional and hygienic precautions were followed. There is no sit down dining for now but they say that they will open it up as the pandemic hopefully lessens. Overall this is a great place, priced right, locally owned and cooks who are literally like little Vietnamese moms and dads. Well worth a visit! I wish I lived closer.

Everything was amazing and very reasonably priced. My friend got the pistachio honey latte and it was the best pistachio latte I've ever tasted! Evelyn's is a mut try if you're in Akron!

Rudeness was the first and last thing we noticed. Very strange vibe. They got our order wrong. Granted no one else was there. We were friendly but became even more disappointed when the bagel I ordered came out of a store bought brand plastic bag. Sadly nothing very special or welcoming, not what I'm looking for in a coffee shop. So the most important part, was the coffee any good? Unfortunately no. I guess what makes it Vietnamese is the condensed milk and they had some specials I didn't notice until after we had ordered. I didn't get the feeling we could or should ask questions. It was disappointing over all. Nice artwork, my initial thought was it was a good work space and they offer wifi. But oh well.
