Events at Hunt & Gather Catering

We chose Hunt and Gather for our Wedding Reception and are extremely thrilled with the experience they gave us. It started with a meeting with the HG manager Soizic who was an absolute delight. With her complete understanding of the menu and venue, she was able to cater the entire evening to the vibe, food, and music we were looking for. From a wedding perspective, the venue decor is great so you don't really need to decorate much beyond flowers. It has great space for intimate photos, dancing, and large party dining. The food was incredible. The staff was amazing; it really felt like they were enjoying the whole night rather than just going through the motions. We had an incredible wedding day and our experience at Hunt and Gather was a massive part of that. Highly recommend to anyone, especially wedding receptions!

Hunt & Gather provided a wonderful experience for our company reception held in a construction equipment facility. The menu worked well for the attendees and the flow of the event, and the food was spectacular! The bartenders were fun and lively and contributed to the evening, and all serving staff and planning team members were friendly and professional. I highly recommend Hunt & Gather for your catering needs!

We were planning to host a large Halloween party at our home for 70+ guests. I asked a friend who works with many catering companies, to give me her top recommendation. Without hesitation, she recommended Hunt & Gather Catering, which is run by the team of Chef Andrew Biggs and Laura Harlow-Biggs. So I messaged them. Laura, who is the event planner, got right back to me, and offered to come to our house to discuss the menu and all the details -- where the food stations would be, where the chefs would prepare the food, what tables and equipment would be needed. She covered everything!!! She was so personable and easy to work with -- I knew I was in capable hands! The menu was fantastic and perfect for our party! Everything was so delicious! Guests raved about the food all night! And the service was outstanding -- a wonderful, attentive staff who were really fun to work with! Hunt & Gather really sets a high bar for wonderful, creative food and excellent service! We are already planning to use them again for our Halloween party this year!

The Director of Events for Hunt and Gather, Katie, is a pleasure to work with. She is creative, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and very easy to get along with. While we ultimately decided to cancel our plans because of COVID, Katie was always on top of it and really supportive of our vision. Also, the food that we had for our a tasting was phenomenal, and Katie and the owners of Hunt and Gather made that tasting a very special night that we will remember. When we get the chance to have an event again, Hunt and Gather will be number one on our list.

We love this place - our recent visit was for a holiday party and the food was fantastic! Service was top notch and the venue is very modern, industrial and has a fun vibe.

When searching for a spot for our Wedding Celebration, we found Hunt & Gather. That day, we walked by to see it and Adam generously showed us around and we were sold. We knew we did not need to see any other place. Soizic was fantastic to work with all of our requests and needs. For the event it self, it was nothing short of pure amazement. Our only regret is that we cannot go back in time and experience it all over again. The staff was outstanding, friendly, and meeting our every need. The food was to die for. And the overall vibe was incomparable to anything we have ever experienced. A pure one of a kind event space. Whether it is a wedding reception, retirement party, or birthday, I strongly recommend you consider Hunt and Gather as the spot. I do not believe this will be our last time there.

We highly recommend supporting hunt and gather. We had our wedding reception and it was extremely wonderful. I love the dj booth, the open kitchen, and the bar is wonderful. I honestly can’t say enough about Laura and the entire Hunt and Gather team. They helped us host not only our son’s wedding but a 60th birthday party for my husband. From start to finish everything was handled beautifully. I met with Laura to discuss logistics and the feel for what we were hoping both events would look like…Both exceeded our expectations. Her menu recommendations, the rental company that we utilized… and simple things like selecting the silverware and place settings were easily handled. From the floral design, to the incredible selection of food that was served, to the completely professional and welcoming staff… I would not hesitate to use them again… And in fact, I plan on doing so very soon! It was the easiest party planning for an event that my husband and I had ever experienced. Hunt & Gather is the epitome of professionalism and certainly raised the bar high for any future events that we will host. The best form of flattery is imitation… And I can attest to the fact that every single one of our guests at both events are still raving about the food that was served and have actually utilized Hunt and Gather for their own personal parties as well… Saying Thank you does not seem like enough, for the incredibly beautiful events that Hunt and Gather put together for my family.The memories will last a lifetime!

Service is impeccable! The food is fancy! I'm sure the price tag is extreme!! Went to a wedding reception here recently and thankfully there was a parking lot across the street ( pay to park of course). Look this place is fancy it just wasn't my vibe, 'salad' served was less salad and more cheese, pears and prescutto. Steak was way under cooked that I really couldn't eat it. The mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were amazing. I would have preferred they asked how I wanted my steak cooked. The wine pairings were fantastic and the drinks were delicious. Their staff is amazing although camera shy when asked by guests to take photos for the bride and grooms memory books (but I get it). Their open kitchen is really cool. Oh and they also served vegetarians meat (even after they asked if they had any special dietary restrictions).

Wow. Our daughter's wedding reception was held here and it was beyond wonderful. The staff was efficient, friendly, helpful, and on top of everything!! The food was beyond this world outstanding. I just can't say enough about how they made it so special. I am so grateful we got to be there!!!

My review and rating speak to the GREAT talents of Katie Grosz, their Director of Events. We were planning an upcoming Rehearsal Dinner at Plaza del Toro when the Pandemic hit. Katie recommended Hunt & Gather who eventually took over the Fabulous space on Glisan Street. We started the planning process once again. Katie is very personable, knowledgeable and overall a dream to work with. We hit it off from our first meeting. I knew we were in good hands and had no doubt our event would be everything we hoped for. But alas, due to Covid "gathering" restrictions, we were not able to host the RD at Hunt & Gather. This venue is perfect in every area. We stopped in during our last visit to Portland to meet the owner/chef, Laura Harlow-Biggs. She's wonderful! I know that if/when we can gather in greater numbers we will definitely choose Hunt & Gather~

Hunt and Gather is our top catering referral in the PNW. Their service and attention to detail far exceed all other groups and their catering services are absolutely exquisite. They literally think of every single detail. Their new event space is simply divine! The wow factor when you walk in sets the mood but it's all of the other thoughtful touches that bring the entire space together. Events at Hunt and Gather is THE place to be for a top notch event. Whether hiring them for outside catering, or utilizing their new venue space, you will not be disappointed!!!!
