I Have ordered carry out twice. I asked to adjust my dish and they without issue made the dishes as I requested. They are very friendly and willing to please. As for the food, of all the northern suburbs of Dallas Indian food, so far this place is right up there as the best I've had in the area from Richardson, Plano to here. You will not be disappointed. Their atmosphere is clean and pleasant. They really have a great personal touch.

Salty and oil is free in this restaurant. This oil is left over after i poured half a bowl of oil in trash. Malai kofta ❌ Salty/Oily Kofta ✅. Momos were ok.

Average place to enjoy Indian food and with nice music. In Detail: We tried cool non-alcoholic drinks, appetizers & main course. In drinks, we tried Masala Soda which contains more Masala but was good and Mango Lassi which was too sweat and not fresh! We picked kothari paneer momo’s which were not freshly made but good crisp taste. Tadka Daal was good and fresh, malai kofta was okay in taste. Garlic Naan is good and recommended, we also tried Bullet Naan which was filled with green chillies (that’s what we tasted and served).

I'm an Indian food lover. I can eat Indian food continuously and not get tired of it for a week. I've been to at least 20 Indian restaurants around the world but I've never been to a Himalayan Indian restaurant. Himalayan food sounds very tempting to my husband and I when we first found this place by random via google maps. I read all these good feedback and decided to give it a try. "Holly Chicken Tikka Masala!" This place far exceeds our expectations!! This place is phenomenal with such an amazing Indian curry smell when we first walked in. We got very hungry as soon as we sat. The menu offered a wide range of dishes and all sounded very tempting. We ordered chicken korma curry with naan, goat korma curry with rice, chicken lollipop and fried cauliflower. The food was served quickly and tasted incredibly good! Chicken lollipop was very juicy and tender. Korma curry tasted so creamy and thick with blended nuts like we have never tasted in other Indian restaurants. Believe me they were SO DELICIOUS with either naan or rice. My husband and I both agree that this is the best curry we have ever eaten. (I almost screamed “oishii” out loud but realized I'm not in a Japanese restaurant...lol) Not sure if it's the power of the Himalayas that makes it so special. Service was excellent and the Boss was incredibly friendly. We would like to revisit this place more often and we highly recommend anyone to come eat here! It's really good!

Google
This place is INCREDIBLE. Everything is so flavorful and delicious! My absolute favorite is the chicken biryani - if you come, you definitely have to try it. I've also had the chicken chili momo, vegetable samosas, tandoori chicken, and everest clear soup (not pictured but highly recommend if you enjoy cilantro). You can't go wrong with anything here! They were all so good.

Google
The dine in service and food is top notch quality. I would definitely recommend Everest Plano restaurant which just not serves you food and drinks under one roof, it makes you feel like home too. The whole team was amazing. Thank you and God bless you all.

Google
The chicken chilli momos are a must try! The food quantity was generous and I loved how stuffed the momos were. The chilli sauce was flavorful. It wasn’t spicy at all for medium spice level. Would have loved a sauce on the side as the sauce dries up a little as it gets cold. Will definitely be my go-to momo place. Veg chilli momos were average. Overall nice place for Indian/Nepali food.

Yelp
I love this place. Have been coming here for the past couple of years. The Food has always been mind blowing. Great service as well.

Soham K.

Yelp
Food was delicious and spicy. Garlic naan was fresh and delicious. 3 pcs in an order of gulab jamun was good value. Mango lassi was sweet and yogurty. Service was good as well. Wish the inside was more brightly lit and we got bigger plates for the main course.

Tracy N.

Yelp
The first place I tried Indian food at - amazing! My friends all love this place, every time they come to town we eat here. Went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The chicken tikka masala is something we always order with rice and naan. Although if you ever bring home leftovers of the chicken tikka the fat/oil separates from the curry all the time and makes it harder to eat. The gobi manchurian isn't bad. I've had their momos before and they're delicious as well.

Crystal R.

Yelp
We have enjoyed this restaurant several times. They have consistently delicious food, great service and fair prices.

Drew G.

Yelp
Ordered from this place a zillion times on UberEats and made a point of finally going in person Glad we did! The starters were amazing The nan breads are freshly made to order which meant they came out hot with the meal - super delicious! Atmosphere is that of a family run place - seems many regulars come with their families ! Main courses were delicious and spiced to preference Service was quick Full bar Will be back

Samantha C.

Yelp
I am so impressed by how delicious the Indian/Himalayan food was here! This place is seriously a hole in the wall! We drove up and weren't sure the place was open because the windows were so tinted that we couldn't see if people were inside! The ladies that worked here were friendly! We ordered the kothey chicken momo to share. They were SOOO good! I could eat a handful more! As the main dish, we chose to share the chicken tika masala (medium-spicy level). The entree came with rice, but we decided to order the garlic naan as well. The chicken tika masala was soooo good! Reminded me of my favorite Indian restaurant in Chicago. The garlic naan was fresh, buttery, and extra garlicky! Next time I will order it spicier because medium didn't have a kick to it at all! I also ordered the mango lassi, which was so mango-y! Usually places have more yogurt to it, but this was perfect! 10/10 would highly recommend this place!

Asjit H.

Yelp
Very horrible experience for nepalese food. Such a disappointment. They have overcrowded arrangement of tables and too dark an ambience. The noodles were horrible with raw garlic tossed in. Chicken lollipop were too hard a chicken with overcooked batter on chicken. Would not recommend this place for dining or to-go order.

Olivia W.

Yelp
HIGHLY recommend the bhatmas sadeko appetizer (might be spelling that wrong). It was crunchy and so refreshing! We also tried their version of a potato salad (aloo achar), which was spicy and flavorful. These two dishes came out almost immediately, which I liked. Bullet naan was perfectly made to order. Best dish on the table was lamb curry, with tender chunks of lamb and so much flavor. I had kadai paneer which I liked (it's not a curry - more just saucy). Nothing disappointed. I am very impressed with Everest. It's a little small but beautiful inside, and very well decorated! Our server was so attentive - I wish I'd gotten her name. We constantly had water refills and she made absolutely certain that we were happy with our food.

Kathleen M.

Yelp
We had family lunch here today and were very pleased. The food was absolutely delicious! I now have a new favorite Lamb Korma. Lamb cubes cooked with yogurt, cashew nuts sauce and cream. The sauce was so good I sopped it up with Naan. Other dishes at the table met with the approval of my family were lamb palak, chicken palak, both steamed and fried momos were all wonderfully delicious. The service was great, the only thing disappointing was they ran out of chai tea. Who runs out of tea at 12:30 when the restaurant opens at noon?

Benjina D.

Yelp
The food is really good here. The momos are perfect pillows of goodness, and I especially like their chili sauce option. The chicken tikka dish is one of the best you can get in this area. Chicken achari was also good, with lots of chicken and a flavorful curry. I didn't care too much for the Everest chicken or the karahi paneer as they both tasted overly spiced. Two stars off for: 1) ambiance - it's dark and can get really hot in there if the restaurant is full. Watch your head in case you hit it on one of the hanging lights from the ceiling. 2) no hand soap in the bathrooms. I asked the server for more soap and she said that they are out. How can you be out of soap for the bathroom?! They are literally in a shopping mall with a grocery store across from them, so this is inexcusable. It really grosses me out to think of all these people that use the restroom and then eat without washing their hands. Worse still, did they run out of soap in their kitchen as well?! Huge turnoff.

KC P.

Yelp
Sooooooooo good!! Service was friendly and the food came in a good time frame. The only thing that was off putting was the intense aroma of whatever cleaner they use.

Susmitha K.

Yelp
Worst food overall. Never had such an experience before anywhere in US Chicken fried rice - chicken was so stale and not even chewable. The worst feeling is seeing egg shells. Showed and provided the same feedback to the server. Aloo paratha - extremely thick uncooked maida chunk with a layer of potato curry in it. We showed this feedback and they brought a replacement which is again exactly the same without any change. Our child didn't eat anything. They didn't charge us for the paratha Lollipop was ok, no schezwan sauce

Megan V.

Yelp
Fantastic food and great service. My boyfriend and I ordered the onion bhaji, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and chef special Manchurian chicken. The sauce for the chicken tikka masala was wiped clean with the naan. I wish I could make something like this at home but I can't, so I'll just have to come back. While we were there everyone was ordering some sort of tandoori or kebabs that would come out sizzling! Will definitely have to try that next time. We also got to try some beers from India which were super unique and delish! The service was quick and they were attentive! We had a great date night and will be recommending this place to all our friends.

Jesmin N.

Yelp
Looks like I may have spoken too soon with the pervious review. I took my husband there for dinner, and while the momo's were great, the other dishes had issues. The gobi manchurian and daal were very salty, and the khadai chicken had just a few pieces of chicken, and tons of onions and bell peppers. It was underwhelming after such a wonderful experience before.

Melanie G.

Yelp
Food is always so good and fresh. Love the inside-welcoming and relaxing. Service is top notch. Mango Lassis are delicious.

Deb G.

Yelp
What can we say about this place but YUM!!!! My husband and I have our favorite Indian restaurant close to us but it is closed for remodel so we needed to find another. We will definitely be back here! Everything has great flavor, came out fresh, nice portions and our servers were very friendly.

Gna J.

Yelp
I had the Chicken Tikka Masala as well as the Tandoori Chicken. Both were so outstanding that I was already planning my next trip to this restaurant. The naan was cooked so perfectly. It's a little bit of an unassuming restaurant but it's absolutely worth a visit.

Linda R.

Yelp
After years of trying to find the perfect curry in Plano, Hubby and I stumbled upon Everest. The small dining room is cozy. The server was friendly and took care of us well. The food is wonderful. Hubby and I shared samosas, which was fresh. I had the butter chicken with rice and Hubby opted for the chicken tikka marsala with garlic naan. We were able to order personalized spice/heat level, which I appreciated since many Indian curries are just too spicy hot for me. The butter chicken and chicken tikka marsala were very similar in taste, but both very good. The portions are generous, and we were pleasantly surprised that we got two pieces of naan. The housemade orange kulfi was refreshing. The only thing missing was marsala chai, which was not available on the day we visited, but we will be back for chai.

Maggie K.

Yelp
Everest is only 10 minutes away from home and so glad I found this place. This is the most visited place since a few months after we discovered it to be close by home. If you happen to try this place then I highly recommend you to try the Himalayan food. We have dined in multiple times and also done take outs, never had a problem with food or service. The staff is always good and nice. The ambiance is decent nothing fancy. The seating space is kinda limited. Our mandate orders here are the momos, tupka and tandoori chicken. I have tried their vindaloo shrimp curry and kadai veg curry and chicken Himalayan thali. Everything is just amazing. The flavors hit the same every single time. If you dare to try something new then I'd definitely recommend you to try the Himalayan street style thali, I just can't recall the authentic name of it. Overall I love this gem in town!

Brahmanand B.

Yelp
Food is scrumptious and delicious. Service is good. Loved the biryanis and the chicken Hariyali.

Lin L.

Yelp
Driving around looking for dinner and saw this restaurant. They normally closed on Monday, however they open today because they are going to closed on Wednesday & Thursday for Diwali celebration. Its pretty quite tonight, it might be the rain or maybe no one know that they open today. I did a Take out order for tonight. I always a fan of momo (Nepali dumpling) and so happy that they sell it here. A little disappointed when I got home and saw that I got a fried momo when I order the steam momo. Server even repeat my order before I pay, however still get the wrong order. Overall food taste good and service just so so.

Josh S.

Yelp
This place is very good with wonderful service. The chicken korma is outstanding. We got the naan with onion and it was amazing. Tikka masala was good too but the korma was my favorite. Regular naan is very good as well. We will definitely be back.

Maureen B.

Yelp
This is a wonderful restaurant! We had the tiki masala and tandoori chicken and loved it!! Service is also excellent! Highly recommend.

Gabe D.

Yelp
Really good Indian food if you are looking for food that won't wreck you with spices. They do use peanuts in a lot of their sauces, so please ask before you order if you are allergic.

Ajay S.

Yelp
Tried the chicken tikka masala and palak chicken. They are good, but there's too much salt in both. Not sure if this is a one time thing or common. They also forgot our yogurt and when I came back they gave a dessert to make up for the error. We might come back, but I'll ask for less salt.

Melissa J.

Yelp
We stepped out of Kohls and smelled something AMAZING. Everest is next door and we were drawn to "try something new". So glad we did. We've had Indian cuisine before, but Everest exceeded all of our expectations. From the 12 yo scotch (my hubby enjoyed), the onion kulcha (I love all naan but this is so yummy!) to the mixed grill (shrimp, chicken and lamb). We also enjoyed our veggies (aloo gobi and dal tadka) and the BEST chicken tikka masala! Great service as well.

Victor D.

Yelp
Was good but must be under new management or something.... Food changed... I asked for a mild dish and it was extra hot... I told them it was and they replaced it with something just as spicy. I'm not against spicey food but they handled the entire thing poorly. Will never go back.

Tommy C.

Yelp
This place is hands down just perfect. The food, the service and the prices are all great. You feel as though you should have to pay more for the whole experience. Get some momos, some biryani and enjoy the afternoon.

Alok P.

Yelp
Out of towners, despite so many choices for Indian restaurants in the Dallas area, decided to go with this one. Ordered all veggie dishes (paneer tikka, mala kofta, mattar paneer, veggie momos, gobi manchurian, naan. Food was EXCELLENT. Food proportions were generous. The NAAN was the best I've had in Texas. Service was fantastic. The reviews were right. This place is pretty damn good.

Greg R.

Yelp
Wow! The food here is like a Nepali carnival in your mouth. So good I need to invent a new world: Dee-lish-us! Yeah, this is one of those times I ate more than I should and now will suffer from an overstuff tummy. Gee.. thanks for ruining my diet :)

Mike H.

Yelp
Food and pick was great. I would recommend this to anyone in the area. It was a little spicy but that is the way I like it.

Aaron M.

Yelp
My lady and I went on Saturday night. Instant seating. Ordered a large Taj and a glass of wine. The lamb korma was so perfectly incredible. The chicken vindaloo was good, a lot of chiles. The naan was good. The beer and wine never came, was asked to remove from the check.

Sandeep G.

Yelp
This review is strictly on our dine-in experience. We are a big fan of the food that they serve as this is our favorite takeout restaurant, but this time we decided to dine-in. Nothing is comforting to a South Asian as a hot spicy curry and fresh hot naan's. That's we ordered on a cold Wednesday evening along with mixed veg pakoras and steamed chicken momos. As I said earlier the food is top-notch here and today we experienced top-notch service. The experience from getting a table to placing the order, the pace at which the food arrived at the table, the time spacing between appetizers and main course, the temperature of the food and the checkout experience was smooth and perfect. The staff is warm, hospitable and efficient. More dine-in than takeaway going forward!

Jeff M.

Yelp
Outstanding Himalayan/Indian/Nepali restaurant on the edge of Plano and Allen. Started with the Samosa. Some places they are bland, but Everest does them right! Packed with flavor and spice these nuggets were the perfect way to begin our food trek. Might be THE best Samosa I've ever had, definitely the best around here. Next up was the Everest Chicken Curry (medium) and Goat Rogan Josh (medium). Both were fantastic! The meat was tender and lots of it. Great flavor and the right amount of spice. I might kick the spice up a notch next time, and medium was right on (at the high end) for my wife. Choice of rice or Naan. We debated, tough choice, but both went with the Naan. (In hindsight we could have each picked one) The Naan was fresh, hot, and there was plenty of it. Portion size is good all around. Go check out this hidden gem, it is worth the hunt, and get ready for a flavor adventure!

Kendy L.

Yelp
I use to go here allllll the time and the food always hits the spot until the last 3 times I went. The food is still good but they lost the strong complex flavor I loved. I usually get their tikka masala chicken, tandoori chicken, matar paneer and their Indian thali (complete meal of curries, dessert, rice and naan). I always get their garlic naan. It's the best!! The service here is always outstanding. Food always comes out quick! (I usually come for lunch so not sure what it's like during busy times)

Peter L.

Yelp
Service and food were good but not outstanding. Ordered a variety of food including Momo's and samosas, chicken vindaloo and tandoori. Samosas were so so, Momo's were just OK. Everything else was fine.

Mike B.

Yelp
This place has the best Indian food I have ever had. I been on the search and this is the real thing. Had a group of 3 and just ordered a bunch of share And nothing was bad. We were the only ones at the place at 5:30pm and by time we finished not table open. Cute waitress that double checked everything so no mistakes. We gave a nice tip as a thank you. Everything perfecto. I for sure will be back often with the wife and friends.

Mark M.

Yelp
First time eating lunch here. It is a small place in a small strip center, not much room for atmosphere but they made the most of it. Greeted by the smell of incense, the menu would be familiar to Indian restaurant patrons. We ordered samosas to share, they were as expected, I had the Everest chicken curry, my daughter had the chicken vindaloo both with rice. It was good and generous portions very spicy though, I like that, as did my daughter. If you do not like spicy hot food, make that clear upfront. Nice little restaurant, I will return sometime.

Rahul S.

Yelp
We went their before holidays. Food was very underwhelming. I ordered goat curry and the meat was chewy and not well cooked at all. The couple on the next table actually complained about their appetizer chicken being undercooked. Guys, you have done well in the past and can still do it. Please train your chef to atleast COOK the meat!

Val J.

Yelp
I may have stumbled upon The Best Indian Cuisine in the Metroplex - and to think it only caught my eye bcz of their name! Vegetable samosas were perfectly seasoned, chicken momos w/chili sauce were divine, and (last but not least!) chicken tikka masala was spicy enough to bring a tear of joy to my eye (the waitress DID warn me) - it was absolutely perfect... My son & I will definitely trek this way again (running an errand in far N Plano), and return when we can linger longer.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Came in today in the afternoon. The staff was wonderful, very attentive and was able to answer any questions we had about the menu. We ordered the Chili Chicken momo, Achari Murgh, Chicken Palak and Himalayan Chicken Curry, Mango Lassi in house and got the Chicken Tikka Masala to-go. Chili chicken momo- ordered it spicy and it came out hot and crispy. The chicken was well seasoned on the inside and had a good masala flavor. The chili sauce on the outside packed a very good punch. As a someone who eats spicy food on the regular this heat level was perfect. The sauce had heat and also flavor, a good sour tang. The dough was fried so the edges held a beautiful crisp and the bottom was soft, not over cooked but had good structure with the filling. The chicken inside was juicy and the proportion of dough to meat was very good for the price! I will most definitely recommend getting this dish, if you're not into too much spice, get medium. When they say it's spicy it truly is spicy:) Achari Murgh- this is the 2nd time I'm having this dish. I first tried it at another restaurant. Their version has more gravy which I loved! I got it spicy and it was in fact very spicy, which was perfect for me! It had a nice pickle flavor and the addition of the cilantro gave the curry freshness. This entire dish was a flavor bomb! Rice was the perfect vessel for the gravy. And the chicken was perfectly cooked, nice and juicy. Only issue I had was certain pieces tasted a bit gamey. Palak chicken- I did not order this, but I tasted the gravy and it was a solid palak gravy. Himalayan chicken curry- I didn't order this but my mom did and she absolutely loved it. She's a very hard woman to please especially when it comes to south Asian food. So her praises on this dish meant it was that good. Just know it's a bone in dish. She said was spicy and very flavorful. She didn't mention any gamey taste from her chicken. I tasted the gravy and it was a well balanced sauce. It didn't taste like regular chicken curry. I think it's a dish that someone would have to try for themselves to experience. Palak Chicken- I didn't order this. The person who ordered this liked the sauce. Mango Lassi- it was cool and refreshing. It really helped to cut down the heat from the curries and from the momo. I could tell that they used real dahi (curd) instead of yogurt. As a real mango lassi should be made out of. And it had a good a balance of sweet mango flavor and tartness from the dahi. Chicken Tikka- this has all the flavor of chicken tikka. Very flavorful, 10x better than a lot of other places that I have tried. Ordered it with medium spice and the after taste leaves a very slight burn. Overall this was a good experience, from the staff to the food and I will want to return again when I'm in the area to try other dishes they have! I honestly didn't expect a lot, I was a bit apprehensive in coming since there wasn't many reviews on Yelp, but I'm VERY happy I did! **Just know that when they mean spicy it WILL be spicy so for all you out there who don't have a very high spice tolerance ask for medium or no heat.** (Pictures are unedited)

Aneel M.

Yelp
Amazing food!!! Unique spices and very fresh. Not your typical Indian restaurant. Highly recommend!!!

Julie M.

Yelp
Best Indian I've ever had! From here on out our order will ALWAYS include the Lamb Vandeloo and the Mushroom Mutter. The Chicken Tikka Masala was only average compared to those two. The colors of the dishes reveal the rich spices they use. Absolutely gorgeous and full of color as they are flavor. We recently tried Silver Spoon and it paled in comparison. I will ONLY order from Everest for Indian here on out.

Neal H.

Yelp
4.5 stars! I was satisfied! I ordered the butter chicken and aloo achar ("Nepalese potato salad). The butter chicken got the job done. A good butter chicken is always appreciated. The aloo achar was the adventurous choice and it didn't disappoint. I was expecting it to be warm, but it was cold (like a potato salad, duh) and refreshing; very flavorful with a bit of a kick. If I we're staying in town longer, I would go back for sure.

Anindita D.

Yelp
Food- food served had artificial colors to make them look red! Very tasteless! Nothing Nepali about them. Disappointing! Another run of the mill restaurant. First and last visit. Service- Was good. Friendly, accommodating. Ambience- 6/10.

Robert C.

Yelp
Return or not to return? Unlikely, but there is that chance. Service was good and staff were polite. I hope they make it. Issues: 1. You cannot have a restaurant in North Texas with no AC. Was sweating my #%** off eating; 2. Himalayan curry decent flavor but not so outstanding. Issue was dark meat for the chicken; 3. All the curries were over salted, and not meaningfully different across Rogan Josh, Everest, Kadai The garlic naan was ok with nice flavor, but a little more doughy than what I'm used to. Stay away from the Pakora. Not good.

Chris L.

Yelp
Food is good. Had momos and lamb and chicken saag. Would try one more time. They did miss an item but they were good and drove out to our house to deliver the missed chicken tandoori.

Abhijit K.

Yelp
Cozy place with excellent customer service & tasty food. Tried Butter chicken & Sag paneer. Both dishes were very tasty & flavorfull, served with soft naan... yummy!!

Samantha F.

Yelp
The best Indian food around. Great atmosphere, nice staff that loves to repeat your order to make sure they got it right. Had a few dishes and everything was excellent and the prices were great. We will be back at least once a month!!!
