Sadly, one lunch just cost me $40 round abouts. Had it been good food, I wouldn’t have minded. But the ribs were fatty and dry, brisket was very dry and the tips beyond crispy (hard to chew), Mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting as it was bland and overcooked to the point the noodles just crumble from a fork. Best part of the meal was the baked beans and bbq sauce. I won’t waste my money here again. Just putting my thoughts out there so others might be cautious before getting their hopes up like I had.

I got a full slab of ribs and it’s was not good at all as it was not cooked long and slow and had no spice to it. I stopped eating that and figured well maybe the Brisket would be better however and unfortunately I put that back as well. I will never eat from this place again. Hope the other locations are better.

Workers looked tired. Person taking the orders was complaining about how busy they were. Food took over 20 min and was very expensive. 60$ for 1 combo meal and ribs with 2 sides (no drinks). Food was so so. Not terrible but not memorable.

Took two slabs to a tequila party (tequila parties are real now) 30 years in biz 5 star chef said as good as expected given the name and another who remembers the Richmond days said it took her back to her childhood. Trash the low ratings for now and give it a shot and take a shot of Patron later.

We ordered ribs and brisket à la carte from Instacart. Delicious meat, barely any fat on the ribs and the sauce is tremendously good. We used to live near and E&J in Oakland and I have to say I didn't like their sauce then but it's really good now.

Had the 2 piece combo brisket & Ribs, med flavor BBQ sauce with green beans, mac n cheese, and for dessert peach cobbler. Love it meat was tended and full of flavor can't go wrong with the green beans full flavor. Of course save the best for last the peach cobbler very sweat.

I ordered a beef brisket lunch with green beans. I paid 19 dollars. The half of scoop of green beans were good. The brisket was cut thinly and was all fat I couldn’t even chew it. I got enough meat for a half of sandwich. This is ridiculous!

Its funny the wide range of reviews on here. I think the ribs and brisket and sides are delcious. Love the bbq sauce. Only complaint was the links were way overkill on black pepper. Dont know if thats how theyre intended to be or if the person who made this particular batch accidentally (or purposely?) dumped way too much in there. If the black pepper flavor were pulled back, the links would be great.
