Folks at the store are nice but their stock is very low in store so I ordered two dresses with them to be shipped to me. They assured me they would arrive in time. The dresses never arrived. Lots of emails back and forth and I ended up getting a refund and no dresses. Not a reliable or pleasant experience unfortunately.

I’m such a huge fan of this place. Definitely one of the best clothing stores in the city and by extension the country. I love the minimalistic aesthetic, and the rotating styles. The service is also really nice. Definitely make a stop at this store when you’re in SF.

Love this place so much. The staff are wonderful and truly make the experience exceptional. I appreciate the variety of pant lengths & xsmall to xxsmall sizing that works for petites! Great great denim and sweaters!

It is clear why Everlane is a very popular shopping destination: - Minimalist timeless (+ chic) pieces - Scandi style vibe - Contemporary - Well made and durable clothes and footwear - 100% Organic cotton, recycled cashmere and wool materials I have been a fan for a while.

Google
I’ve been buying from Everlane online for a couple of years and I finally got to see the Everlane store in real life. It was everything I had hoped for! Cool atmosphere and there were quite a lot of items available. I shop Everlane because I appreciate the company’s strive to be transparent about the manufacturing and pricing of their products. Would recommend to anyone!

Somehow feel like this everlane store is better than all the rest I ever visited; great selection of clothing for both men and women. Wonderful experience we had here.

I must say, as a longtime customer of Everlane, I was really excited to check out the store on my visit to the States in September, but I couldn't have been more disappointed. As many people have already noted, stock assortment is limited, which is a bummer, but mostly I was appalled by the service - or lack thereof. There were probably twice as many employees as customers, yet I was continually looked over and ignored with hands full of product while people shopping literally right next to me were asked if they needed help by multiple sales associates. The lack of fitting rooms/waiting time is a bit ridiculous, though I did encounter the only helpful person there, even if she never brought me the additional item I asked for. The sales people either were running around frazzled and stressed, or the vast majority, chatting to each other and (as someone else already noted here) throwing elevator eyes to anyone who dared get in their vicinity. The whole experience really left a bad taste in my mouth about the brand, and honestly reminded me why I left the Bay Area nearly a decade ago. Such a shame.

Google
Great store! Staff was super helpful to get sizes from the stock room. Very nice dressing rooms and check out area. It was busy but still efficient to get my shopping done!

Yelp
The store is located on Valencia with some street parking around. Just be patient and you'll find something. I went after work at 6:30 PM and found parking quickly. The store itself is super bright and welcoming. Everything is very neatly organized and the staff were super friendly with helping me find what I needed. The selection is great. Whatever they didn't have, you can opt to order and ship it to your house for free. I got the backpack and a little catch all bag for my travels and it was great. I love the strap on the backpack that keeps the backpack on the rolling luggage. The material is very thick and worth the price! The backpack itself withstood a lot with me on my travels. It survived the rain and protected a lot of the contents of the backpack but It is not meant for extreme weather so I will keep that in mind and now just use it for an office bag.

Yelp
Stark & sleek- perfect for well-paid techies that have to attend an in-person business meeting & want to be taken seriously. You'll look crisp casual. I have next to zero need for this look, but stop by out of curiosity. Once I bought some suede flats to own something besides sneakers. Sadly wool is too itchy, the dresses & shirts are shapeless, simple T's & sweatshirts look like Gap but cost oodles more. There's a preponderance of thick denim which doesn't drape, too stiff. Definitely come in on a weekday if you don't want to wait for a dressing room or service. Wondering about an item I couldn't find my size in, the friendly clerk went online & searched for me. Props to him. Realizing I was in Retail Therapy mode, walked out of store & promptly lost interest in buying. Pretty cool Everlane situated itself in the Mission instead of the obvious choice of the Marina. There's a place for Everlane, just not in my closet.

Yelp
I love minimalist eco-friendly style that Everlane represents. I have a few Everlane sweaters/cardigans, outerwear and pants. Everlane items are timeless, stylish and versatile. I recently purchased The City Stripe Way-High Drape Pant and I am disappointed with the stitching quality (image included). My goal is always to buy timeless and durable items - the workmanship is sadly lacking in this case.

Yelp
Walked in because of sale sign, found a pair of pants that looked appealing but wanted to try on because it wasn't the usual pair I'd buy (in diff colors, online). Couldn't get one person to help so I helped myself into an empty room. As soon as I stepped in I heard a knock, I thought it was for the opposite end, which was closed, surely can't be for me? I ignored it and seconds after the first knock it came again. I called out yes and the employee on the other side is asking if I am finding everything ok. Um, what?? I just stepped in. With one pair of pants. Of course the pants fit beautifully. It's perfect for work or my upcoming trip to Asia. Usually I don't like purchasing if the experience is crappy because for me that 100% carries over into when I use the item. However ordering online seems counterintuitive (waste of gas) and this is the only post in SF. But here on out I'm just going to stick to online ordering.

S S.

Yelp
Terrible in-store customer service. The older white woman that works here only acknowledges white customers.

Yelp
We came into the store just right after it was opening in the morning. We found it has stocked some new collections of clothing. The store staff are very helpful and friendly. They provided insightful guidance on our choices

Yelp
Don't understand why this location doesn't have a higher rating - I've always had great shopping experiences at Everlane and Kate has been exceptionally thoughtful and helpful every time I've needed assistance.

Yelp
Rude staff, refused to help with a purchase/return situation they created. Lost my refund and treated poorly. Not going back.

Yelp
I had a last minute question about a discount code, which somehow got funneled to Michelle at the Valencia store. She was super helpful and helped me through the steps that I needed to do, and placed my order so I could get the discount. AND, she did this all by text while juggling customers in the store. Fabulous service! Thank you.

Yelp
Am really surprised by the low scores for this location! I visited this Everlane location for the first time a few months back, and though nothing exactly stood out (neither positive nor negative) about my shopping experience, I'd say it met my expectations and I walked out with a few pieces I'd had my eye set on for awhile on their online store. As a loyal Everlane customer, I had been curious for a visit to the store in person. Walking in, I was greeted by the employees and was taken care of during my fittings in the changing room. The employees checked in with me a few times while I was trying on a few things. Maybe it was the time of day I went, but for a Saturday afternoon, the store didn't seem overly crowded at all and my wait time for a changing room was about 10 minutes. Thought it was a great added convenience that they have a paging system to alert you when it's your next turn in the queue. I do agree with a previous reviewer that the only two registers opened at any time is a bit ridiculous, especially given that the checkout line spanned about 6 people when I was waiting. Overall a good shopping experience! I think I'll prefer to shop strictly online and I would come in person again to try on items I am unsure of my size in to avoid the return hassle.

San D.

Yelp
I booked a stylist appointment online for a mid-week morning and it was an extremely great experience. I also came her on Black Friday when it was super busy, and the employees were awesome. They find you styles and give you their honest opinion on what looks good for your body. There is no pressure to buy and they are overall super friendly and helpful. Arthur was helping me and he was kind, attentive, and extremely helpful. They don't carry all the online styles, but you can order with free shipping if you need to from the store.

Yelp
100% SF. As far as I know the company is an SF startup. I saw it through one of the Instagram influencers and I must say they have minimalist chic styles for both men and women. Their most popular shoe is the Day Glove. Some of their items are only sold online. However, if you order items in store, they offer free expedited shipping! But it never hurts to try it on in-store than risk returning the product for ordering the incorrect size. Saves you time and the hassle, if you will! The store looks very clean and chic :)

Yelp
I shop online 95% of my purchases but stopped at Everlane while strolling through the Mission. Why you stop here +'s: + Women's shoes. Pleasantly surprised by their selection for SS 2019. Quality and stylish flats in poppy red, blush, and other neutrals for $115+. There are low heels, ankle boots, and slides too. Crowded area. + Spacious layout. I browsed through the store with ease although the shoe section got crowded by women on a weekend afternoon. + Pleasant staff. In-store experience was good for me. I don't want to be bothered unless I need a size. I don't need to be greeted because I'm not at a restaurant looking to be seated. Why you should keep walking -'s: - Style selections are limited. Don't expect wide variety. All American casual sportswear is de riguer here. - Checkout line too long. Three cashiers and 15 people deep. I was getting antsy and now remember why I shop online. - Show styles favor narrow or regular feet. I have wide feet and thankfully had to go up 1/2 size to get the right fit. Doesn't work for all styles.

Yelp
Had a really uncomfortable experience here. I felt like the man working there was sort of rushing me and within minutes of entering was grabbing the clothes from my arms and taking it to a dressing room. He was urgent in a way that made me feel like he assumed I would steal something? Pretty weird to be profiled like that in the Mission district.

Yelp
I like Everlane and am surprised by all the low scores, but I get it, Yelper's experiences differ. I've ordered online and shopped in this store on Valencia and virtually all my experiences have been mostly positive ones. When returning items to the store purchased online and decided to shop a little first. As soon as I picked up a few items and started walking through the store, a sales associate offered to start a room and to hold my items, which I appreciate. Returning items has been easy, every time. The store does have limited merchandise compared to online offerings, but as a result the feel of the store is sleek, modern, and well organized. Their sizing runs from 2-16, so they address a range of body types. I like their transparency on the supply chain, reuse of down and up cycling of other materials, and appreciate some of their simple wardrobe staples. Everlane is an SF-based company, and they have a loyal fan base, despite the two star reviews. For me, one of the challenges of shopping here include a lack of parking nearby, but SF parking is always a saga. But truthfully, sometimes I just don't want to deal with parking in the Mission, and decide against a visit. Secondly, they have no telephone customer service, which I think is a mistake. Today I couldn't call the store to see if they are open on a public holiday. To me, that is a basic. Lastly, lines at the cash wrap are a ongoing theme. Clearly two registers are not enough, so why not add more? Otherwise, I really enjoy the retail experience at Everlane and have had good experiences with their helpful, friendly sales staff, and appreciate their 60 day return policy.

Yelp
They wouldn't let me exchange $150 shoes I bought the day previous for a size up because I told them I wore them a few blocks. Really? Okay not buying shoes here again..

Yelp
Came here on a saturday afternoon...... my mistake I guess....... Store was soooo crowded. Their posh seating area was full of bored looking dudes, one was even asleep. Too many people were rummaging through the clothes so many of them were misplaced and there were makeup stains on a lot of them. The wait for the fitting room was half an hour and the automatic ticketing system was broken. I tried on some jeans and was disappointed by the quality, felt like something I could get from Old Navy. Their shoe display was cool looking but I have to talk to an associate to try anything on which kind of sucks since like 10 other people were waiting. I wanted to try things on so that I could buy them online later, but I'm never coming back unless it's at an obscure hour. I would recommend just going online for a better shopping experience and use their return policy if you don't like what you get.

Yelp
I walked into Everlane and was really interested in their athletic wear. I was in the middle of trying on a jacket and was approached by a white male employee with longish hair. He told me in a very passive aggressive tone to set the jacket on the counter when I was done trying it on. There were other folks who were trying items on yet I was the only one being approached. That statement assumed I wouldn't be purchasing the item. Intent vs impact. I read their mission by their register and sounds great but it seems extremely performative if they aren't regularly having employees attend anti racist trainings. I felt extremely uncomfortable and humiliated. After this I talked to the manager but she tried to defend his action by saying it was policy. Until I told her that as a darker person of color I felt targeted and made feel uncomfortable. Having read similar reviews from others speaking about their experience, mostly POC, I'll be reaching out to corporate.

Yelp
TLDR Limited selection of what you see online. V crowded on the weekends. The line can get crazy over the weekends. If you can, go during off hours. If you're only returning, you can skip the line. Love their basics: crew T & cashmere sweaters. Also makes great gifts.

Yelp
Amazing store, amazing concept, amazing customer service. I originally passed by this store on my way to a cafe, and it caught my eye but I didn't bother stopping by because it looked wayyyy too expensive for me (white interior + clean, spacious store = $$$$$ in my mind). I reluctantly went back after two of my friends recommended it to me, however, and wow. That was one of the best decisions I've made in my life (okay, this is just a bit of an over-exaggeration haha). Everything on the racks seemed to pull me in and call my name - simple, chic clothing with all shades of neutral colors - black, white, brown, grey, and very subtle pinks and yellows. The wait time for a fitting room was about 20 minutes, but they have a really cool system where you enter your name and phone number, and they text you when your room is ready (along with calling out your name). They hold all of your items for you so you can continue to shop. Customer service was amazing.. when you actually are able to get the attention of the busy workers haha I tried on a size 2 since that's my usual size, but found it was pretty loose. I asked for a 0 and the worker came back with a 00, saying she thought it would fit better, and how right she was! It fit like a gem. The only complaint I would have is that it took three people to get me the right style and size pants. The first girl who brought me 00 brought me the wrong style. Second girl brought me the right style but wrong size. I finally had to step outside and wave down a worker to check the back for me, which she graciously did. The shoe department was also extremely helpful, letting this super indecisive shopper try on a total of 6 different pairs of the same style (in different colors and sizes) until I finally settled on my favorite. Three items came out to a little over $200, and while my heart hurt quite a bit when I saw that number, I think it was one of the best purchases I've made thus far. A sustainable, transparent company with workers that genuinely want their customers to walk away with a beautiful wardrobe is hard to come across these days, so I will definitely be back to this shop again when I'm in SF!

Yelp
I appreciate Everlane's transparency and ethical sourcing and manufacturing practices. Although their style is a bit hipster for me (my style is a bit more low-maintenance-athleisure-mom-of-2), I like the clean lines, muted color aesthetic and reminiscent 1990's Gap (as my husband puts it) flavor. That said, the website reflects way more of this style than the storefront. I was disappointed to see the store somewhat disheveled, with many sizes unavailable, and limited types of items (eg shoes were mostly day glove flats and a few heels and sandals, only one pair of boots; very few bags on display). The sizing online already doesn't fit me well- I need petite sizing in both shirts and pants- and there was literally nothing that fit my broad shouldered 5-6 athletic build husband. Ie he is not the tall slim narrow-boned prototype that Everlane men's seems to fit. So... I think I'll stick to Everlane online.
google avatar

Kiyetet M.

Yelp
I usually love this place! I even got a my favorite pair of jeans from there about a year ago, but they ripped at the thigh (between legs). I went into the store to see if there was an in house solution and an employee kindly tell me that I'm on my own. That's not fair. Considering Everlane advertises their jeans on thicker and bigger women, if jeans rip between the legs as is common for curvier women, then the solution or guarantee/warranty should encompass that. Or else it's just stupidly performative. The website says "ethically made. Designed to last." Just following up on that to reflect the price point.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
You wait in line to get into the store. There are barely any sizes left in some of the clothes. A lot of their online products are not in store. We waited 30 minutes to try on clothes. We left the store empty handed. We did order online. Will update when clothes arrive and after wear.
google avatar

Isabel B.

Yelp
Came here for the first time on a busy Saturday afternoon and as soon as I walked in, I could tell it was very crowded. The line to the fitting room was about a 45 minute wait but they had a system -- you can give your clothes to the sales associate and type in your phone information to be into a queue which leaves you with the freedom to go outside and explore Mission/Valencia St Area. You will then get a notification that you gives a couple minutes to head back into the store. Very simple, and easy but obviously its not the kind of in and out experience that some people would want. So I would probably recommend coming in when its less crowded. Seeing that this is the only brick and mortar Everlane store it makes sense why there would be a ton of people. My main reasoning for coming here was because I had ordered some items online and I wanted to find out whether I chose the right size (and also to get an idea of what the fit was like for denim for future purchases). It was also my first time actually seeing, feeling and trying on their pieces and was overall very impressed with the quality of the materials they use. A definite, huge shoutout to the sales associate that helped me (Pam) as she was absolutely patient and super nice (especially since I asked for different sizes) and I am very grateful for her help! Overall, I was very happy with my experience!
google avatar

Cynthia M.

Yelp
Received great customer service. They told me straight up whether the pants I was trying stretches or not after buying and suggested which sizes to buy. They definitely know their products well! I love the fitting rooms, so roomy and love the lighting. My only wish is that the white pants be made with nude cloth in the pocket area. I'm not a huge fan of white pants with even whiter pockets.
google avatar

Megha T.

Yelp
So far, haven't had to wait to get into the store any time I've come on the weekend or right after work. The store is spacious but doesn't have the entire stock of all their items. Some pieces, such as the kick crop and boyfriend jeans, are try-on early but they offer free 2-3 business day shipping. That was a bummer but kind of them to offer that. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable about the store.

Laurie S.

Yelp
Hooded pull over sweater pilled after ONE dry cleaning. Customer service said to buy a de-piller. Very cheap quality for the price.

Kristyna M.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. If you want to go and feel unwelcome, uncomfortable and like your presence is annoying to the cashiers and staff make sure to do that in this store, apparently they don't care if you have questions, or if you don't want to be part of the data base to become a customer, they simply don't give the customer the choice, and return or exchange seems to cause a huge deal for the staff which they are train to say they all are managers so you feel trapped and don't complain to their supervisors. Honestly I don't know what business plan this store has, maybe just to tell customers how to behave and do what they say, for an open and environment friendly company they leave the human treatment service at that very bottom of the priority.

Yelp
I got invited to shop the grand opening of Everlane's new San Francisco brick-and-mortar location on March 2, a day before it opened to the public. Aesthetically, the location is very pleasing and very Everlane: white, airy, light, and clean, with very little furnishings. While it's nice to look at, it's not exactly the most satisfying shopping experience. The limited in-store selection reminded me of Brandy Melville, where there seems to be a lot of product but there's actually a lot of the same product in multiple locations around the store. The same jacket in multiple colors, the same tee in different patterns and shades, the same sweater in different colors piled up in a couple different places. This is disappointing given that Everlane is online-only and has a lot more product that would be great to see, feel, and try on in person before buying. Pricing is a bit all over the place - why is a blouse more expensive than outerwear? Why is a striped tee that feels cheaper than a Forever 21 garment nearly $20? And to piggyback off of that, quality is also inconsistent. Some garments feel top notch and well worth the money while others are no higher quality than something you could get for a fraction of the price elsewhere. Not to mention that a lot of the cuts and styles are boxy, huge, and horribly unflattering and there's neither petite nor tall sizing in bottoms. I would've loved to have tried on their jeans, but the wait for a fitting room was so long that staff had to start distributing those buzzers that you get at some restaurants to let you know your food is ready for pick up at the counter. So I didn't bother braving the wait. Some of the salespeople were extremely friendly and helpful while others were downright snooty and giving out the sideye freely. One saleswoman was complaining to another about the number of breaks they were allotted, and then proceeded to offer the woman using the mirror next to me a token for a free coffee at the Lady Falcon coffee truck parked outside. She never bothered to ask me if I'd like a token, too. The opening of this physical store means that in-store returns are much easier, especially since it has a dedicated returns counter. Problem is, I don't foresee myself coming back here too often. The in-store selection of clothing was, frankly, boring and the quality of Everlane's products is inconsistent and confusing. Some items are well made and others are mediocre at best, but I left with the same impression I've had of them for a long time: overpriced basics from a company with an inflated ego. Beautiful store with a couple pairs of shoes and a purse I'd go back to reconsider, but more eye candy than substance.

Yelp
Poor response! I've returned 3 items totalling $198/- in the beginning of May 2020 using their return authorizations in 2 shipments. Haven't seen the credit till today (July 21st, 2020). I got an acknowledgement for the return of 1 item stating the account will be credited, but may take a while because of Covid-19. No acknowledgement for the return of 2 items. Submitted 4 to 5 requests asking status (attached the proof of return receipts), no response. Emailing them didn't work either because emails were bouncing. No phone number to contact. This is very frustrating and don't quite know how these guys are staying in business.

Yelp
Swung in before a line formed so I was glad I didn't have to wait an hour to be disappointed. Store is clean, and while I like the Everlane brand, I was disappointed in the lack of sizes... Like if you're a size small don't even bother coming here. Maybe the question is, when do they restock? At least I'd have better luck in finding something that fits me...

Yelp
I saw that this store was opening this past weekend through IG and made it a point to visit them on their GO weekend. I've been following them but never purchased as they were online only and call me old...fashioned... but I want to try shoes on and not have to return them via mail if they didn't work so super thrilled to see a brick and mortar now. I did not get an invite to attend prior to the public and I had a very different experience than the previous reviewer. I waited about 30 minutes to get in early Sunday, the line definitely got larger as the morning progressed but everyone we encountered was great. They we're handing out coffee tokens for Lady Falcon (some of the coolest coffee kids and best beans in town) to everyone in line, no preferential treatment and from the door to the floor, apparel to FTW ultimately to check out, super friendly staff. Pricing and fit is funky everywhere and THAT is why it's so great to touch the product, try it on and determine if what you see and feel is what you want to pay. I walked out with a hoodie, a tee and a kick ass pair of loafers that I had my eye on!!! Oh yeah, and in a world of me, me, me, it's clearly about US. They're giving back to the community that they grew up in. The Mission needs it and they're doing something about it. Nicely done Everlane and looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Had a great experience in-store unlike most of the reviews here. I'm wondering if it's because I signed up for the skip the line option online for the SF store. (Basically you can go in before store officially opens and shop first, it's only available Friday - Monday from 9:30am-11) Love their women's shoes especially, made in Italy for such fantastic value and fit. Service was super attentive and pain-free. They didn't have some of the sizing / options I wanted to to check out but always offered to check online. I also returned a few items I had bought online at the store and had no issues. Overall I had a positive experience!

Yelp
I really wanted to like them, but I can't. The customer service is horrible. How can you have a store with no phone number? Then constantly ignore the only email address you have? I have waited a month now for a response to any one of my 6 emails. I have also reached out via instagram and twitter to attempt to get attention. HORRIBBLE. Please don't go through the hassle I have (and many many others). Save yourself the headache.

Allie R.

Yelp
There was always an employee near by with every step I took to make sure they could help me with whatever I needed.. They even made sure I was doing okay by asking me "are you doing okay" multiple times within minutes of each other. When I did need another size the associate helping me said "the tea is, it's sold out‍" lol. My Palo Alto experiences have been great though, so it's worth the trek in my opinion..

Yelp
Awful, awful, awful. No way to reach Everlane costumer service in person. E-Mails and texts by the "digital costumer service" are not answered when inquiring about an order.

Yelp
Since my review a year ago, the same friend who felt discriminated against asked me to go with her to the store to see if anything's changed. We came mid-week around lunch time. The store had only a handful of shoppers and the employees were standing around chatting among themselves. No "Let us know if you have any questions." or anything. A simple "hello" would have sufficed. They *all* looked equally miserable to be working there and you seriously wonder if that's a requirement for their hiring department. I held a jumpsuit and approached the fitting room area and asked to try it on. A female employee with green in her hair gave me a look of disdain, as if I was asking her to come into the fitting room with me to help me try it on. How about you just quickly put me in a room and then you can go back to talking about last Friday night's party (I wish I were kidding but this is, in fact, what they were talking about) with your coworker? Just horrible customer service here, there's no other way around it. If you don't look artsy enough (i.e. look like you work at a coffee shop, like the smell of used books, dabble in film photography, have random, tiny tattoos all over your arms), prepare to be ignored. If you look like my friend and me (30 years old with a career), be prepared to be treated rudely or ignored. The African American guy who rang us up was kind and was the one bright side of this whole experience. So basically, my friend wasn't followed around the store this time because of her skin color, but that's about the only improvement. I think it's about time that corporate starts taking customer service seriously. As a customer, it makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience.

Yelp
I've been a huge fan of the brand for a while and was really excited to visit the new SF store over the weekend. But when I got there I couldn't believe how hot it was! Was the air conditioning broken or something? It must have been at least 80 degrees inside, which is crazy because it was only in the mid 60s the day I visited! They set up a few small fans that only made it worse because all they did was blow even more hot air at me while I was trying to shop. Most of the sales associates were nice but they honestly looked really uncomfortable in the heat. I felt bad for them. I'm shocked that people were even trying on clothes, I ended up leavening because it was just so hot and stuffy. Do yourself a favor and just order online from the comfort of your air conditioned couch.

Yelp
so I'm a long time supporter of Everlane, but rarely come into the stores as it's usually super busy and hectic, especially this location. ( I love their stuff - eco friendly, their quality, style and for the price - what more can you ask for?!) but dont let my love of Everlane fool you this review - I based it purely on the experience coming into the store. :) when I do come in, it's usually normal and nothing crazy exceptional or terrible, just your normal visit to a retail store. but on 12/18, a Saturday , before the christmas holiday no less, the experience was honestly impeccable! I was greeted when I came in , super friendly. There were so many people in the store and mini line forming to check out, so I was pleasantly surprised. I returned a crap load of stuff, person was super helpful and friendly and suggested i look for my exchanges and come back to her. looked at some jeans a little bit, looked like I was weighing some options, someone came by and asked if I needed help - super friendly, informative and even helped me to the sign up for the fitting room. super quick, also super friendly person. After trying on a few items, that same checking in person came by to see if I needed any sizes, and got them for me. And again checked in later to see how it was all going, and took all the items away that I didnt want. got in line for the cashier and the person helping me earlier finished off my visit, super efficient, helpful, friendly (again) , pleasant, and helped me order a size on an item that they didnt have in store with FREE express shipping and the same discount that I had before (SCORE!), and since I bought something new as well as the exchange that was over $75, I got a special free mug they were giving away that day. shout out to that team and whoever was managing that day - I can truly tell it was a team effort in how they were running the place from the front to the back of the store. This is how all retail stores should be! Keep it up!!

Yelp
I have never felt less welcome in a retail store. Not a single person greeted me as I came in, though one associate was sure to breeze past me and chat with another associate who was sitting with a laptop. As I walked around, arms laden with clothing, still not a single remark from anyone, though the store had few other customers. When I went to look at the shoes, an associate standing around, made clear eye contact with me while I picked up a shoe and tried it on, but still not a peep. The people who work here seem much more interested in fraternizing with each other and standing around sullenly than actually doing their jobs. Management should give them all a lesson in basic civility. The clothing is also not ideal if you are tall. I will NEVER be back.

Yelp
+2 stars for ethical manufacturing practices from a traditionally online retailer. -3 stars for extremely poorly execution of a physical retail store. Everlane sacrificed ease of customer use through extreme limitations on variety of options and an ornery sales staff. The store is designed more as an art gallery than a clothing retailer. There are 20-30 identical shoes displayed beautifully, but seemingly not to allow customers to experience the depth and breadth of Everlane offerings. Whoever designed the space clearly focused on form over function. It seems like an attempt at the the iconic Apple stores, but with only 1/50th of the retail offerings. Imagine walking into an Apple store where only one TYPE of iPhone or laptop were displayed . Why even have a retail store if potential customers can't actually try on and purchase your goods? How silly! My advice to Everlane HQ: Either ditch the store altogether for a billboard or design one that is more representative of what you sell. Specific advice to Everlane HQ: Consider the SF Mission vibe store might benefit from a little softness. For example, I came to buy the the Day Heel only to find the suede NOT available at the store. The sales woman also took it as a personal affront when I wanted to try a larger size of the shoe. She claimed she did NOT recommend I even try that size, and then left for 10 minutes never to return. Is it an insult to try a different size? Someone else finally brought the shoe for me. The day heel has a short rounded front and uncomfortable elastic back which was such a disappointment considering how I've been eyeing it online and made a schlep to the store in order to make the right selection (the first time). Lastly, the shoe was worn on the bottom and the lady told me Everlane shoes are not guaranteed to be new. I'm all for buying second hand, but leather shoes mold to fit specific feet after a few wears. For a company dedicated to ethical retail, it seems like a better use of resources (shipping packages, adding to traffic congestion, and delivery truck emissions) to avoid shipping various sizes (until customers find the right size) by having more availability in the store. Dear Everlane, fix it or ditch it!

Yelp
Dear management, Why are your employees so rude and seemingly unhappy with their jobs? I've been in your store four times now and each time I feel un welcomed by your staff and if I do attempt to speak to someone- I am met with disinterest and curt demeanor. As a physical representation of your brand- I think it would greatly improve a customers' experience and remain true to your purported image of approachability and transparency if your staff presented a more engaged and caring attitude. Not only does your staff look unhappy, they can be heard complaining about mundane retail-related gripes. Additionally, being so tech driven, you would think checkout could be done anywhere in the store? I have to say, once you get over the minimalist Japanese/Scandinavian look of the store- you are left with a bunch of snooty sales associates and pastel t shirts. Either stick with your online presence or do a massive overhaul of your staff training. Look at the reviews- there is a concurrent theme within these threads. (Pun intended.)

Yelp
I came by to make a return and pick up another shirt. It was really busy so no one greeted me, which was fine. The workers seem VERY serious about their job. Take that for what you will. The line was really long but it moved fast. The man helping me was nice and fast. It was super hot inside and outside the store so they had free bottled water, which was a nice touch. I'm not crazy about the location (Why not Hayes?) but I thought the store was nice and had everything I was looking for.

Yelp
Nice and attentive service which is hard to find considering there is a retail/service labor shortage in the bay cause of high cost of living. They were eager to help me with what I needed and I walked away buying two pairs of shoes. The brand is a healthy concept with sustainability, even though it has been tied to a pretentious tech culture that grew in SF, I think it's trying to move in a more approachable vs. exclusive direction and I can see it in the hired staff. It reminded me of Nordstrom service (which is excellent!)

Yelp
Hey! I love Everlane and have ordered many times over the years. I have consistently had a terrible experience with one woman at the Valencia store whose name is Nikki I believe that is her name as she has red hair and glasses. She has been consistently passive aggressive and rude making me feel unwelcome and flat out shamed. I can't believe this behavior is tolerated.

Yelp
Personally, I don't need sales assistants to be overly friendly and though some did seem a little joyless, they were helpful enough. Limited selection of what's online, and though I love Everlane's transparency as a company, I'd love to see them be more size inclusive to larger sizes, wider feet, and petite and taller people. That's obviously not an issue with this specific store though and I understand they have different resources than larger companies. I'm 5'0" and don't mind getting my clothes hemmed or tailored but I'll probably stick to the tops only since I have never tried on a single pair of pants that fit well enough here. It's nice having the physical store here to try on things on, especially if you're short, tall, large, in between sizes, etc. The total star of this store is the rly tall blonde woman who was super helpful and attentive in the shoes section. I didn't catch her name, and I didn't need much help from her because all the shoes to try on that were on display came in my size, but she was helping another group of customers and just witnessing how kind she was made me so happy and excited to purchase and return here. ordering from the store to your home also ships faster than shopping online, which is especially helpful if you don't live in the city.

Yelp
I shop online. Came to visit SF for a couple of days and wanted to give the store a try despite the bad reviews. I expected so much from this store. I was sad they didn't have a large selection of the Work Pants. That's what I was hoping to get. I did try their jeans for the first time, I ended up getting the high rise ankle in light blue wash. Although I got the things I originally did not plan on getting without the long wait, I was mostly disappointed with the service. I do want to mention though - when I came in I was greeted by the cashier and had a brief convo since it was my first time. So kudos to that guy. That was the only other positive thing. I've worked in retail. And I'm not saying you have to be overly friendly. But I walked into that store without getting acknowledged by the sales associates. It wasn't until when I came out of the dressing room to get a size when I was approached by 2 sales associates. Probably worried I was going to mess something up.. I know how that goes. It wasn't even busy. There were about 5 of them that day just walking around, talking or folding. You'd think I at least would get asked how I was doing. I know retail can be demanding, but attentiveness goes a long way. Even if it's minimal. With that said, it's crazy to see the massive difference between their online and in-store experiences.

Yelp
My friend and I went in on a weekend. Extremely busy. Couldn't find an employee by the clothing but they had a specific person to help by the shoes. I tried on 4 different kinds and walked out w the everyday pumps. I've had them for a couple of months now, perf for an everyday outfit. Wouldn't recommend walking on them all day though.
