Soft jazz playing very quiet atmosphere. The coffee was amazing. I was skeptical about the burrito with reheated egg & sausage but the toppings were so fresh... Not the kings breakfast I wanted but it was very welcome. Please put salt & pepper on the tables

Nothing better than an early morning jaunt to a coffee shop that I have yet to try. Every Saturday I head out to a random picked coffee shop to check out and gotta love an algorithm because it brought me to Everyday Cafe. When I walked in, I immediately loved the space, the soft leather sofa by the window, and plenty of seating. What usually takes me a few minutes to order a coffee and usually head out, didn't happen on this 1st time visit. I grabbed the leather sofa by the window on a sunny fall morning for 1.5 hrs The ambiance was so perfect and that made for a longer stay! My only regret, hindsight, was that I didn't order something to eat. It was smelling pretty good! The perfect reason to to revisit, asap, for coffee AND breakfast! Great job ladies!

I had maybe the best chicken salad sandwich of my life here. They are NOT messing around with the quality food and coffee. The seasonal sweet potato pie coffee was delicious. Highly recommend if you want a great lunch and a solid coffee.

I thought everything was pretty average. From the coffee to food to the ambience. It is located in a modern building and the space itself is pretty spacious, but it lacks any character. Think of plane table and chairs. The good thing is, they have power outlets close to quite a few tables, so you can get some work done. I ordered a cappuccino and it again was pretty average. Not sure what the reason was, but the coffee felt quite watered down. I personally like my cappuccinos a little bit stronger. Also, I was hoping they would give me my cappuccino in one of the ceramic mugs since I specifically asked to have it in the cafe, but I guess they use takeaway cups for everybody. I also ordered one of their breakfast sandwiches. It was pretty good. The service was quick and efficient. When I went, it was pretty empty, but then within an hour, it started filling in. This is the solid neighbourhood cafe, which you only visit if you live in the neighbourhood like 61C for squirrel Hill. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this cafe.

First time here and it was great! We walked into a clean, bright, cute space and were greeted by friendly staff. Ordered the buffalo chicken flatbread; the tomato, basil, chicken flatbread; a green tea with vanilla; and a hazelnut latte. Came out fairly quickly, hot, and tasty! Highly recommend the flatbreads...crust was thin and crisp!

The costumers service at everyday cafe is amazing people there are very polite the food is A1 and my top go two is the panini sandwich with eggs, bacon, cheese with spinach on also my second favorite is egg, bacon and cheese on a croissant

Inviting space with a decently sized crowd and people coming in and out regularly. Pretty good coffee and breakfast sandwich. Love the photo art of historic Homewood on the wall. Edit: Came back two years later and the lunch sandwich was very nice. Still a clean space with chill, friendly chatty customers doing their thing.

You can tell Everyday Cafe loves their community and is an incredibly engaged member of it. I really enjoyed coming here before work, getting a hot cup of coffee with creamer and sitting down. It wasn't busy at all when I went (8am on a Monday) and was a quiet spot to do some sketching and thinking before the workday started.

This place was great. My husband got a big and packed vegan wrap for under $8. That is unheard of. The menu looked so good I want to try it all. They were very friendly. I'd love to take my book club at some point. They seemed to have a great variety of teas and there were some board games which we always appreciate.

Everyday Cafe' is a locally-owned business (started by Bible Center). The number one goal is to bring community together through food. They're open Monday-Saturday 7 am-4 pm and closed on Sunday. This brekkie/brunch/lunch joint makes a mean cup of Joe. Not to mention the refreshing smoothies and frozen coffee drinks. The quiche is incredible! Packed with eggs, cheese, veg, etc. It's light and fluffy and never dense or overcooked. I love the turkey caprese and Italian paninis. Also, the flatbread pizzas are great for lunch. The restaurant is super clean with ample seating. Super-friendly staff.

Great ambiance and customer service! anytime I'm greeted with a smile I'm happy! The coffee was good, but I have to say the service was even better! I ordered a Flatbread Pizza with veggies to go with my coffee and man was it delicious ! The cafe is a large open and friendly space with plenty of tables and chairs. There is street parking outside and there is easy access.

Really enjoyed this little coffee shop in the Homewood neighborhood. My husband & I went in for breakfast. You quickly see & feel its "coffee with a cause" mission - the family-owned business created by the Bible Center Church has a big display board in the back that tells its story. It's very community oriented. I love that it has a community kitchen for rent & is connected to a nearby farm/fishery for fresh food. Our English muffins were pretty tasty - Turkey sausage, egg, & cheese. The woman checking us out recommended fresh spinach - so I added some on mine. My husband's cranberry (orange?) muffin was not good, though. Quite dry. The coffee was good, as was my chamomile tea. We sat on a big couch by the front window to enjoy our meal. Most of the other diners were at tables working on laptops. A nice experience. We'll be back.

Pleasant and calming atmosphere. We went on a Friday morning. It wasn't busy so the service didn't take too long. They were very kind and it was cool to see the cool things they're apart of in the larger community. I also loved how they shared various nonprofit resources & services on the front table. I went here specially for the cookie butter frapp and it was worth it. It was well blended and flavorful. The brown sugar scone was sweet but not overly sweet. Even my picky niece who doesn't like to try new food tried it and enjoyed it. The scone definitely tastes better warmed up.

On February 8, I had my second Book Launch at the Everyday Café, and it was a wonderful success! This was due to the comfortable and welcoming setting of the Café, the excellent food & drinks, and the pleasant, efficient staff. We had a standing-room only audience and although lots of food was being ordered, the staff was able to prepare the food and maneuver through tables to get the orders to the individual tables effectively. Many guests were in the Café for the first time and they gave it rave reviews. I agree and plan to return regularly to support this business. I personally recommend the excellent flatbreads; I had the Roasted Vegetables with Garlic sauce and Lemon-ginger tea. Special thanks to Chef Jason, Assistant Ron, and servers Ashley, Juneau, and Talisha. They did a phenomenal job!

After spending the morning walking around The Frick Museum, my wife and I decided to venture down to Everyday Cafe. It was a somewhat cool and drizzly day, so a sandwich and soup sounded like the right idea. The cafe seems to be part of a larger enclave of businesses dedicated to social and cultural education and public outreach, though there was also a religious element to the messaging on the walls. We had no idea what kind of place the cafe was -- besides just being a cafe -- or what type of organization it was associated with, but it was a peaceful respite on a cold day and the employees were very nice. I had a ham and cheese panini with a cup of chili, and my wife had chicken and rice soup. The panini was good, somewhat standard as these things go, but the chili was really excellent. It had a bit of a kick to it but was not overpowering at all. The blend of spices and other ingredients was just right, and I easily could have eaten another cup of it happily. My wife's soup was also quite tasty, and she was happy to have gotten it. Before leaving, I ordered a double espresso, which hit the spot before going back out into the drizzle. We noticed as we were leaving that a small group of women were gathering for a weekly poetry reading and writing workshop. The space is perfect for that type of event. I don't remember what else was on the menu, but I recommend Everyday Cafe if you're in the area and want a good soup and sandwich.

Went out with an dear friend for coffee and conversation. The staff was extremely friendly. The drinks were superb! I ordered a green smoothie and my friend had a frappe. We sat and talked for about an hour. The ambiance was welcoming; we had a good time.

I just love this place. It's has a "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood" vibe to it Super sweet staff. Got delicious lattes and pastries. AND they had the cutest pop up book shop on site (Shout out to The Young Dreamers' Bookstore) so I bought two for my nephew while I was there. The one muffin I got was a bit undercooked, but I'm still giving them 5 stars cuz they're so dang nice.

We've come here two mornings to grab a quick breakfast. Both were pleasant experiences. While there is street parking, there is also a lot one block down. The dining space is open and inviting (especially during Christmastime). We got hot chocolate, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches. It may take some time but know the sandwiches are made fresh and taste so!

The Everyday Cafe has really god coffee and some of the best staff. I visited the cafe with a friend and we were greeted b Ezra, one of the staff. He was tremendous helpful and kind. It appears that the business does a lot in the community! Kudos to them !

What a great eatery and work space! Convenient street parking, order at the register (with divider), pay with card (no cash!), staff will bring out your food. The menu is varied. For my first visit I chose the southwest chicken wrap, which came grilled like a panini. That's the trick: the cheese was melty and so delicious! For dessert I hemmed and hawed between the chocolate-covered strawberry and peach smoothies. Since it's summer, I went with the peach, and I was not disappointed. Clean open space with plenty of windows for natural light while eating and/or working to jazzy tunes. Didn't stay long enough to check out the bathrooms this time. Staff were masked, most patrons were not, although I didn't sense any hostility that we wore masks. Will be back! Nota bene: This is actually a 4.5-star review that I rounded up, due to the air conditioning being quite strong. We dressed for the outdoor temperature (hot) rather than the indoor one (cold).

This is a cute, spacious cafe. Reasonable prices, the breakfast sandwich I got was only $5. I wish it had been bigger but I should expected it to be on the smaller side with the price. The staff was friendly & service was quick. I didn't get a drink this time, but they seemed to have a ton of options between coffee, tea, & smoothies!

Enjoyed my experience at Everyday Cafe and will return regularly. Food and prices were very good.

Came here recently due to my coffee passport! There is plenty of street parking. I ended up getting a honey latte, which was delicious. They also have a nice menu of breakfast options, paninis, soups, salads, and some pastries that I will have to try! There are lots of tables and space to study or chat with others. A hidden gem of a coffee shop. Will definitely be back!

Ironically, this place is closed on Sundays. The coffee is good and really hot. The vanilla latte with almond milk is really tasty. The soft, jazz music is relaxing and welcoming. A nice atmosphere that is a mix of comfort and busy.

Wonderful find in Homewood. My husband and I visited this Cafe last week. Street parking is easy to find across the street. The barista is very welcoming and friendly. I ordered the green smoothie and my husband ordered the white chocolate frappe. Both were delicious! Definitely recommend a visit

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for our morning coffee. We decided to go to Everyday Cafe because it was one of the few places left on the Pittsburgh Coffee Passport which we had yet to try. The inside of the cafe is welcoming, bright and very open. The floor is tile but looks like hardwood and the whole room is done in soothing earth tones. On one wall there are some interesting black and white pictures with captions and then the coffee counter is in the back. One thing that they make sure to note here is that they only take cards and things like Apple Pay/Samsung pay and they do not accept cash. For our coffee on this morning my wife and I both decided on getting cappuccinos. The coffee here ended up being decent but my cappuccino reminded me more of a strong latte than a cappuccino. By that I mean that it was very milk centric (whole milk based on the taste) and I didn't get too much of the coffee. What I did get was decent enough and nothing about the drink itself was inherently bad, it just wasn't exactly what I was expecting nor wanted. It was the same for my wife and she ended up tossing most of her coffee and we got her a different one elsewhere. The bottom line for me is that I would like to head back here again in the future to try it again. While my coffee wasn't exactly what I wanted, the employees were nice and the space pretty cool.

I was walking one day and happened to see this small little cafe and decided to give it a try! I grabbed a coffee and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup to go. The coffee was good; not anything special but definitely would order again if I stopped by again. The soup, however, was amazing!! Absolutely loved it. It was just the right amount of creamy. The cafe itself is small and quaint. It was at least half way full. It seems like a great place to meet with someone or do get some work done.

Great place to study! They had TONS of tables and space, and didn't mind that I sat there for a few hours. It did get quite crowded, even on a Tuesday morning! I got the cappuccino, but they also had Commonplace coffee if that's your favorite. Milk options were almond, soy, or whole! They had lots of sandwiches and pastries to choose from too- I'll try one next time! I loved that they had a handy chart right by the register of what each espresso drink is (see photo). They also had lots of local event info posted and local PGH papers/magazines. It made for a really great atmosphere, and the staff were exceptionally helpful to top it all off!

Finally a really good coffee shop option north of Penn Ave in the east. I've been here a few times now and I like it a lot. First and foremost the coffee is high quality, I believe they brew Commonplace blends here which are great. Second there's plenty of seating, reliable wifi, and table space for studying and/or small gatherings. Great place for productivity. Also the atmosphere is kind of old school and jazzy, very relaxed ambiance. The decor is well done. The food menu is limited like most coffee shops, but what they have is good fare for breakfast and lunch. Sandwich and salad ingredients are super fresh. Hard to beat this place for good brew and food, and some relaxed time.

Great hours! Too many places have that slacker late start where working people can't make it. Had a couple of interesting drinks off the Coffee Passport and learned it was extremely close to the Homewood Carnegie Library. Will go back.

Really a wonderful spot. They have everything-including a great space, terrific staff and wonderful coffee. I headed there to get some sweets for the office. They were so great in making suggestions and organizing everything so that it was easy for me to carry. You must check it out!

Looking for new place for lunch and found the Everyday Cafe. We loved this place. I had the special Margherita flatbread. This was made with fresh ingredients from the local farm. The tomatoes bursted with flavor. The serving was big and could have taken some home but it was so good I had to finish it. My friend had the chicken salad sandwich which was served on big flaky croissant. Very fresh. My other friend ate the grilled panini Italian. She continued to talk about the good flavor! Yummy Delish! Everything was fresh and delicious. We cannot wait to our next lunch out! The staff was so nice and helpful! The atmosphere was nice and comfortable. The Everyday Cafe is a hidden gem in this area!

Cosy Cafe on Homewood Avenue. Great place to take a break and grab a coffee or tea and some lunch. Permit parking on the street, but there is a gravel lot near that I'm told you can park in. Also lots of bike parking options. Love this little gem

Nice place to get good coffee and tasty smoothies! Ladies working behind the counter were friendly and quick! My son also had a breakfast bagel that smelled delicious!

Coffee passport for the win! Came here over the weekend. Found parking right in front, and was super impressed with how much space this cafe has. Plenty of space to study, work, or just hang out and chat with a friend. They have food here and everything looked delicious. I went with an almond milk cappuccino and Brendan went with their shot in the dark (coffee and espresso). We both really liked our drinks, and I LOVED looking at the old pictures that they had hung up on the wall. It was really cool to read about some history of Pittsburgh/Homewood. The service was super friendly as well. Great experience- would visit again!

Drove past this place on our way to construction junction & decided to stop for coffee and breakfast. Pretty good English muffin sandwich. The breakfast wrap was better - with smoked turkey, feta & spinach. Menu options all seemed good, pastries looked fresh, and employees were nice. The tables and floor could've been cleaner, but overall a good stop.

I love supporting the small business in this neighborhood and my favorite way to do that is coffee! My drinks are always delicious and I've tried several different lunch options that don't disappoint either. My only struggle is that it typically takes a good amount of time to get food or drink. There is usually only one or two people working behind the counter. Don't head there if you're in a huge hurry, but otherwise stop by if you want a good coffee shop!

This is such a lovely little cafe! It is also partnered with the Bible Center Church who provides a lot of great programming to help the community. I was able to visit Everyday Cafe for their World Cafe series. Which provided a lot of insight and entertainment about a new culture to me. The World Cafe series happens about every month. Each monthly event highlights a different region of the world. This month, I was able to attend their India event which was super fun! For $10, I was able to enjoy some catered food from Tamarind- Savoring India, watch a cooking demo by Popping Mustard Seeds and also watch a dance performance by Nandanik Dance Troupe. I am so happy that I came. Everyone there was very kind and hospitable. I really enjoyed my time here and plan to attend more events.

As I sipped my first Sweet Potato Pie Latte the dreary Pittsburgh sky suddenly passed and the sun shone bright on my face. Well not really because the sky here in fall stays dreary but I felt sunshine all over from the joy this drink induces. Words cannot describe how delicious it is but I will try. It knocks the pumpkin spice latte to the ground and claims its rightful place as the fall seasonal drink we all need. What is it's magic? I can't tell you but you need this in your life immediately. And did I mention how nice the staff are? Every time I've been there I've left with a smile on my face after talking to the lovely baristas, an experience not often had at cool coffee shops these days. My only sadness is the thought that this drink will only be available seasonally but I am certain Everyday Cafe will have an equally transcendent beverage for every season so I look forward to what I will discover next.

Hey now I normally don't review things and rarely would I ever give five stars..... but this place is phenomenal!! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the coffee and pastries are deeeeeelicious! Old and young alike are the atmosphere. If you're like me and wanna chat a bit everyone if friendly. The CHAI TEA LATTE IS THE BEST!!!! Yes I've been to Zeke's , Taza D'oro, Starbucks and. Coffee Tree. This chai is second to none. Check em out. Lifelong Pittsburgh resident. Hands down the best.

Not a lot of parking but it's down the road from a major bus terminal and they close at 3pm but the nice thing is there profits go to local community groups to help with there programs. They have coffee and breakfast items plus free WiFi. They have a big comfortable seating area and about the only public bathrooms in the area.

A gem in the beautiful Homewood neighborhood, just steps from the busway and a block from the business district. Everyday cafe has great views and plenty of natural light to contrast with the dark decor. It feels a bit like a bookshop. The menu is always changing and they tend to feature locally grown produce when possible. I like the waffleshot (espresso in a waffle cone), but I also enjoy a more traditional espresso drink like a latte here. It's a great place to study or catch up with a friend. See you there.

Awesome Black owned community lead cafe with a fairly decent priced menu and delicious food and drinks. I like that this organization provides opportunities people in the community. It is well lit and has strong WiFi for those who want to work from the cafe.

They have amazing events! The food, drinks & snacks are delicious. The environment is relaxed, inclusive & down to earth. I sincerely love this cafe! It's my favorite cafe in the city! It's a whole vibe.

I hadn't been here since pandemic. They were awesome before and no surprise to me they are still awesome! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, solid coffee, and tasty food. This time I stopped for lunch take-away. Fresh ingredients in the Italian panini and hearty chili were perfect on a cold day. The pastries were good in the past; I didn't try any this visit. Come here for quality efficient food made with care.

My drink was delicious! I had an iced sweetheart mocha. I also had a sandwich. Really tasty! Best of all. The nicest people! I will continue to go there!

First time here, this will definitely be my new coffee spot. They do not take cash, so be sure to bring credit/debit. Coffee is delicious, flavorful and affordable. Not crowded on a Sunday morning, like the vibe of the shop.

The customer service as well as the food were amazing! They have a limit to how many people can be in the place - which made my casual coffee with my Bumble date feel more comfortable and safe during the pandemic. The parking was easy to find so I would recommend stopping by!

As soon as I enter this Café I knew immediately this was going to be my new favorite spot! Very clean place,staff very courteous and obliging.I had the corned beef sandwich for lunch which was good,i would've said great but they didn't have spicy brown mustard that is must for my sandwiches,lol. Green tea was great. I was also pleasantly surprised that Wifi was at a adequate strength and FAST! Cozy and calm ambience. Fantastic place to get some work done or read. One last note this place is cashless, debit/credit cards only.

This place is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is wonderful. It is very relaxing. I will definitely be back. Can't wait to try some other items on the menu.
