If you want to go see the latest Blockbuster With Huge Explosions movie then you'll probably rate this theatre 2 stars, tops.
If you want a civilised, comfortable, small-scale film experience, then hopefully you'll agree with me on the 4-star rating I've given the Screen on Baker Street.
It's very small (two screens, each with only about 60 seats). They only show 2 or 3 films at a time. But they usually have at least one art or indie film on. When you enter you'll find a small bar, if you want a drink beforehand (no need to chug them if you drink slow, either - you're more than welcome to take your bottle of wine into the film as long as you use plastic cups). Inside the theatre there's an actual usher who shows you to your reserved seat (some may find it a bit silly in such a small theatre, but I think it adds a bit of class - our usher was very professional, and not just some kid who didn't really care).
They post the "programming" (i.e., ads and trailers) start time and the actual film start time at the ticket booth, so you know exactly how long you have. Although for the film I saw last night there were no ads or trailers whatsoever: right into the film!
The screen's not huge, of course, but picture and sound were fine. Like I said, not the place for a multimedia extravaganza. The chairs were very plush, very reclined, and very comfortable, though.
All shows are £9.50, though they have a £7 concession price for early in the week only.
It's part of a small chain (http://www.screencinemas.co.uk/) , and is owned by the Everyman cinema group (http://www.everymancinemaclub.com) .
