"Many folks know that EVO makes great pizza, but they may not know that they create craft breads and pastries at the bakery around the back of the restaurant. Go for danishes, baguettes, boules, and more." - Erin Perkins

Yelp
I popped in on my way to my girlfriend's place, I wanted a coffee and they were open and not Starbucks. I had the iced mocha latte and an almond croissant. The latte was very smooth, had milk but wasn't super creamy, I tasted the mocha but it wasn't very sweet. Likewise, the almond croissant had a really nice flaky texture, a buttery taste, and I could really taste the almond paste, but it was more of a true almond paste than a sweet marzipan like these often are. Kudos to EVO for a more mature flavor profile that wasn't just a coffee flavored milkshake. The service was fast and friendly, and there is a really nice outdoor eating area. Parking is a little tough, but it was Friday evening in Park Circle. Pricing was a bit high by my standards, but as I like to say, "price sets expectations" and the high prices set an expectation that I felt was met. Would gladly return when in the area or make a special trip out here to relax and get some work done. J.Ja

Yelp
I came here on a bustling weekend morning and enjoyed a hazelnut latte and a delicious rosemary goat cheese "day-old", though no one would know that it was even a "day-old" based on how tasty it was. I like that they sell the older pastries and bread, and the shop itself is adorable with outdoor seating. Overall, I'd recommend popping into this place if you find yourself in North Charleston!

Yelp
Craft Bakery is a gem in Park Circle. They have savory and sweet goodies. Their specialty coffees are delicious too. Love the patio on sunny days!

Yelp
EVO Craft Bakery is CUTE! From the products they create to their customer service to their decor outside and inside, this bakery is fantastic. You can tell that this is a beloved neighborhood gem who is proud to serve their customers! So what did we try... Pistachio Pastry (wish I could recall the name) Truly, I just wanted more of the delicious pistachio filling that rested in its center lol. So, I guess that tells you how I felt about it! ;D Blueberry Cream Danish Unfortunately, I blinked and this was gone. So, I guess that tells you how everyone felt about it. ;) Everything Bagel Croissant I grabbed this for my husband who loved it enough to not offer me a bite. So, I guess that tells you how he felt about it. ;D Bacon Cheddar Croissant I grabbed this for my brother who also loved it enough to not offer me a bite. So, I guess that tells you how he felt about it. ;) Honestly, if I had not already eaten. I would have grabbed another croissant for myself. They were big, full and easy on the eyes. I'd also totally grab a loaf if I lived in town. I'm still dreaming about how stunning the bread smelled when we walked into the bakery!

Yelp
Tucked right behind EVO Pizzeria (which is also another great place), I would say this café/bakery is underrated! There are limited indoor seating but they have a great outdoor patio. The staff are friendly and wonderful. They seem to have a good working team. I ordered a cappuccino, arugula and provolone croissant, and meat quiche. Everything tasted great. The croissant was very flaky on the outside, but soft and buttery in the inside. I do wish there were a little more arugula in my croissant, but that's just personal preference. The quiche was my favorite. They heated it up for me and it was creamy and cheesy. Great place to grab a quick to-go coffee, chat with friends, and bring dogs as well!

Yelp
Stopped in after leaving the pizza shop. The smell of fresh baked bread is awesome. The servers behind the counter weren't very attentive. One was busy showing the other something on her phone while we were at the register. They have outside seating on a covered patio. Nice laid back setting.

Cherie R.

Yelp
Cute little spot in downtown North Charleston - their cappuccinos are really good and pastries all tasted very fresh! I think they only had outdoor seating so definitely would recommend it as a nice spot on the patio on a nice day! Next time we go, we'll plan to ask if they can warm up the pastries as ours were room temp

Yelp
I'm so glad that I live within walking distance of Evo Bakery. I love that I can go in and I know the staff, they know me and there's always something new to try. Their lattes are fantastic, with house made syrup flavors available. The drip coffee is A+. The baked goods from the pastries to the breads and pretzels are all worth writing home about. Pretzels are only on Sundays at 5pm and they are totally worth the hype. Each week there are new flavors and they're unique and fresh. The cookies are an easy snack, the pinwheels and croissants (both sweet and savory) are fantastic to grab for guests coming over and the desserts (changing menu items every other week) are so fantastic. I highly recommend going in here if you're in the area.

Yelp
Okay. This was the BEST coffee experience I've had, and the interior was so elegant and cute. The two lovely creatures at the front with the very cool piercings CURATED my little caffeinated adventure and took plenty of time helping me choose between the Chai tea and the Macchiato. Thank you. I am so indecisive but I absolutely loved the way they explained what an Italian Macchiato is. I was recommended a Honey + Butterscotch flavor instead of a (cough starbucks) Caramel -- and I truly loved it. Thanks for experimenting with me. I wish I could visit again tomorrow before we leave-- but hello from the NoVA-DC area!

Yelp
This is a really quaint spot with lots of sweet offerings in Park Circle. The service is very friendly and the vibes are 10/10! All seating is outdoors (but it is a covered porch) which is nice. I have tried one of their cookies and a chocolate almond croissant - both were pretty good! Nothing revolutionary, but exactly what I was looking for that day.

Samuel B.

Yelp
Always excellent, a wonderful follow up for any great meal you've had in park circle or worth the drive for other occasions. The coffee is excellent and the baked goods always hit the spot. We made it in today for pretzel day and the sweet and savory selections were both dynamite. The staff are always super helpful and friendly, they just recently covered the patio area outside making it more accessible!

Anastasia M.

Yelp
Always enjoy EVO but tonight was an extra experience. I really enjoy the pistachio pizza but today that changed. The bartender Gabby recommended to add mushrooms. Let me tell you, that completely changed the game. I feel I'll be dreaming of this pizza and highly recommending it as well. Also, Doug pickled some strawberries for the Snack Plate. O definitely would've never thought about pickling a strawberry but now I'm mad I haven't! Oh the possibilities! I truly think I'd put it in a salad with some glazed pecans! Yum

Yelp
Now that I can walk here I probably go once a week... sometimes more. I love stopping in on a weekend to grab coffee and pastries to sit on the patio and enjoy. I love all the pastries, but my favorite as of late is the lemon scone. I generally had written off scones as being too dry and dense, but this one is the best I've ever had. I have tried the rosemary one too but the lemon takes the cake... or scone for me. If I get there in time to snag one and a iced latte, I just know it's gonna be a good day. My other favorite evo activity is grabbing bread on the way home for dinner. A fresh baguette from evo just can't be beat when it comes to bread from any store nearby. They're currently doing pretzels on Sunday evenings which are great and I'm looking forward to trying the weekend breakfast sandwiches too. Plus they have sandwiches, rotating small plate menus, and great desserts too. For such a small place, they have so much to offer.

Yelp
Here's gentrification in a nutshell: in North Charleston (a food desert), if you can get yourself to Walmart, you can spend about $120 on food for a feast for 7 including plenty of leftovers as well as a new crock pot in which to cook said feast. Or you could blow nearly $50 on three coffees and three stale pastries at this place.

Andrew J.

Yelp
Love this place for a quick pop in coffee and pastry. Always friendly service and a nice outdoor deck with a few chairs if you're wanting to hang around for a while. Danishes are always fresh and the muffins I've had a never too dried out. They have a good selection and you can always call them if you have any special orders.

Lowanda J.

Yelp
After dinner sweet tooth fulfillment spot! Evo's Bakery is a great spot to satisfy the sweet tooth of anyone. Their fresh made treats and great prices can really test your willpower. Dropped in with friends after dinner. It was hopping on a Friday evening. Small and quaint yet pleasant and friendly. Be sure to drop by when you're in the area.

Daniela Z.

Yelp
Came here for some fresh pastries - I like that they have a fresh selection and lots of coffee and tea options.

Peyton C.

Yelp
Cute little bakery, workers were very friendly! Would come back to try more. Located in park circle

Erica C.

Yelp
Great coffee, great treats, great service! I love coming here in the mornings and getting a danish with a latte.

Lori J.

Yelp
Sign me up for a latte! Great flavors but not all always in stock. They do have oat milk, but also not always in stock. They will have other options if not. Great spot to pick up pastries to bring to work- we like the zucchini bread/cake and everything but the bagel cream cheese filled croissants. This is always where I grab coffee for my coworkers as a treat since it seems fancy but doesn't break my bank. Very friendly staff. I'm not sure how comfortable the outdoor area looks but at least they have seating!

Dwayne A.

Yelp
Nice shop. They are very enthusiastic about their goods and are eager to explain their process. I really enjoyed the pretzels, which had different fillings. We also got the tiramisu, which was very flavorful and moist.

Emily V.

Yelp
Love snagging baked goods and bread from here! Always so fresh and well baked. The snickerdoodles and chocolate chip cookies are favorites. The baguettes are perfect. Finally tried their lunch sandwiches today and the BLT is one of the best I've had.

Julia B.

Yelp
We go to evo bakery at least twice a week and have tried almost everything in their case. It is all delicious! The goat cheese and rosemary scone is by far my favorite thing. The patio is covered and always has a nice breeze and nice in the summer time with an iced latte. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful 10/10

Patricia C.

Yelp
Everything is so delicious, from the coffee to the baked goods, you can't go wrong! Quick shoutout to the quick breads tho...

Madison W.

Yelp
Hidden gem. Maybe not hidden but definitely THE place to go if you're up near park circle for fresh baked goods. This place will be so cozy come winter with how toasty and inviting it is inside.

Erika W.

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped by here for the first time yesterday. They have a super cute outdoor seating area with water bowls for furry friends. We ordered the cheesecake with blueberry compote and whipped cream (for me) and the profiterole (aka cream puff) with ice cream in the middle (for my daughter) to-go. My daughter wolfed down the profiterole before I could get back onto Spruill...she gave it 5 stars out of 5. My cheesecake was amazing. The compote was delish and the cake was baked perfectly. 5 out of 5 stars for sure. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more of their goodies. Covid info: wear a mask, one group inside at a time

Brian S.

Yelp
I want to be clear that I think everyone who visits North Charleston should try this place and experience it for themselves. Tucked behind the Evo restaurant, this is a tiny, quick take-out coffee spot. It's one of those places that I know do good work, but unfortunately, my specific experience was pretty mediocre. My coffee had grounds floating in it and I got a raisin pinwheel that, while texture-wise was very nice, the flavors were lacking even in the danish-style center. I am confident if I were to return I'd have a better experience but based on my short time in Charleston and my one experience here I have to bump my rating down a bit.

Dina W.

Yelp
My friend and I needed a plan b after the wait at our intended breakfast spot was over an hour. This spot was nearby so we decided to check it out. When we got there, there was a line outside. Because of COVID, they only allow one person/group in at a time. The line moved fairly quickly. Inside is super cute and clean. I ordered a speck and provolone croissant and a vanilla latte. My friend ordered the same croissant, one with a chocolate drizzle, and a couple of desserts. The latte was delicious. I wish there was more meat in my croissant. Everything is inexpensive. The patio has a decent size and has about 5 or 6 tables. This is a nice spot to meet up with a friend or just enjoy a treat alone.

Elise W.

Yelp
Very adorable bakery located behind the pizzeria. I had stopped in for coffee but given they were out of to go lids opted for a pastry instead. Service was super friendly and the place smelled amazing. Unfortunately my blackberry danish was a bit stale and not really what I had expected. Maybe it is better on other days but today it didn't really hit the spot.

Marc J.

Yelp
Extra LARGE SALADS, amazing pulled Mozzarella and nice combinations on the pizza menu. Service was superb and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and effort. I wish I had the forethought to offer some food photos but my appetite got the best of me! COVID precautions are followed, with masks, gloves, sanitizing between customers and hand sanitizer readily available. Note: it can get really loud inside when the place fills up, so if you're noise sensitive, you may want to ask for a table outside.

Corey C.

Yelp
Perhaps we went at the wrong time of day...early afternoon...which can be the kiss of death for all freshly made items from the AM hours. As a result of our poor timing, the remaining options were few and kinda sorta sadly stale. We'll definitely give them another go, though- years ago we tried options at the downtown farmers market that were bee covered but delicious!

Danyelle G.

Yelp
Second time I've come into the bakery for a sandwich to be told it wasn't being sold, the website and menus say sandwiches are from 11-4 then went and got told they stop selling sandwiches at 2...went back at 11 and got told we're not selling sandwiches today, the vibe is cool but not really worth it I ended up getting a pastry but it was just dry so I don't think I'll be back to try anything else

John B.

Yelp
I've tried stopping here a couple of times after pizza and been puzzled. The selection of pastries seemed quite small to me. When I looked online, I saw a much broader menu. Am I missing something? In any case, the chocolate hazelnut croissant I tried was flaky and mostly croissant and not quite enough hazelnut. I'm not really persuaded that the bakery is in and of itself a destination, as much as I do like the pizza place next door.

Sri R.

Yelp
Beautiful nice for morning breakfast Melissa is awesome Good and open from 7 am to 10 pmecery week 7 days a week

Nathan M.

Yelp
The coffee here is amazing, the staff are very friendly and help me get in and out in a rush everyday! 10/10 would recommend stopping by for coffee in the morning! They even have out door patio seating with wifi and allow pets!

J N.

Yelp
I bought a yummy lemon scone and a loaf of rye bread. Both excellent. Never been to this area before-sales person was very friendly and helpful. Must be used to out-of-towers!! Went back to EVO for lunch had an excellent thin crust pizza with bacon, pepperoni and sausage. If we could have eaten more food the salads are huge and look phenomenal!! Will definitely make this a return spot when in Charleston.

Opal D.

Yelp
Beautiful bread. Love their dessert selection, I'll have to go back to try them all. The lady working was friendly and helpful. Very happy to have found this place!

Alex C.

Yelp
The food and everything is good, but it seems a little pricey for what it is...definitely a good cup of coffee but generally overpriced.

Bob M.

Yelp
What a great bakery, behind evo pizza, both you cant go wrong, but we are talking bakery and the cream cheese everything Croissant is excell-yum, my wife had the cheese cake and that rocked the taste buds. Staff was was top notch

Julie T.

Yelp
We are here visiting and came across this gem. I came for coffee and left with homemade bread, fudge and locally roasted coffee beans. Great service. Very friendly and the coffee hit the spot! Nice outdoor seating area as well! When we are visiting this will be on the list!

Yelp
Gotta say if we lived there & they had a reward program my waist line would be in trouble! We commenced at the front building their pizza joint which was absolutely delicious! But sure happy we left space for dessert! This is a small shop filled with wonderful fresh bread smell & beautiful pastries such as the moist coffee cake we have ever had! But I gotta say the PEACH PIE! This was a party for my tastebuds! The DELICOUS crust serves as a vessel for juicy sweet peaches! Have it with one of their specialty coffees prepared by the sweetest most helpful servers! Ask about their specials too! Having a conversation with the staff I mentioned we were there visiting in celebration of our wedding anniversary & we were then gifted a soft sweet/salty pretzel stuff with peaches!! Omg! We also purchase rug! Amazing! When the bakery I believe heard me saying I love Rugelach & advised they were going to have some peach Rugelach on Wednesday. So we called but no luck. Tried again thurs but was advised none available so I thought I be going home with the thought of peach rugelach in my mind! Then the unexpected happened. A lovely lady from the bakery called me back to let me know she was mistaken & they did have some! Asked to have some pieces put aside for us. They were one of the best ones I have ever had! Then I saw the wonderful fresh bread had to grab a wheat sour dough which they gladly sliced & a lemon scone (which was a repeat purchase!). And the whole bag made the drive back home so much better. So glad we found this place & its delicious offerings. All done with a smile & great attitude. Thank you for the sweets & creamy delicious coffee

Jennifer D.

Yelp
10/10 desserts. The brownie was thick and absolutely delicious. Tasted like it was already dipped in milk, incredible flavor. Blackberry swirl cupcake was amazing, this is no ordinary cupcake, they know exactly what they were doing. We went in for coffee and the espresso machine was acting up so it was already clean and shut down so we got chai instead, chai wasn't too special. We'll be back to try the espresso.

Alana O.

Yelp
Little hole in the wall bakery in the heart of Park Circle. You literally cannot go wrong with anything you choose from here. The smell of the freshly baked bread when you enter is heavenly and the fresh sweet treats and coffee are delicious! Staff is always very nice.

Hannah P.

Yelp
Great coffee, zucchini bread, service and kombucha! Really enjoyed stopping here on our evenings walks around North Charleston.

Latasha B.

Yelp
Its a small bakery that serves coffee as well. They make an assortment of breads along with some biscuits, cookies, croissants, danishes, and more. I have had their cookies before and they were good as well. We were excited to try lots of the other yummy things, so we started with croissants. We purchased the Almond Croissant and the Chocolate Almond and they were both good. I really liked the almond one best, but both were tasty. We also tried the danishes cheese, lemon, and a blackberry. My least favorite was the plain cheese danish. It lacked flavor, and did not meet expectations. The lemon however was so much better. There was a light lemon flavor and it had just a hint of sweetness. The lemon scone was also a miss for me. It was very floury (if that's a word). Ha! The flour overpowered the lemon so much that I had to concentrate to find the lemon flavor in it. I will definitely be back for more croissants because on occasion I like to make my own breakfast sandwiches with good bread, and these are definitely good.

Annamaria B.

Yelp
This place is a gem behind Evo. We usually stop in because there is almost always a wait for pizza. Evo is fairly small so the bakery gives you a chance to have an app and a drink while you relax and wait for a table. They always have new and unique things to try. The staff is so pleasant. They'll let you know as soon as your table around front is ready. There are a few tables inside and some on their back patio. I need to try to stop in for lunch sometime because the sandwiches sound so good. We just always happen to stop after work and what not so we always miss when they are being served but it's definitely on my list. If you need fresh baked bread, they have a huge selection. Stop in, it'll be worth it.

Mallorey H.

Yelp
this coffee place was absolutely adorable, gave a great mom and pops type ambiance with great service. the coffee was also incredible (you could really taste the espresso in my latte:))

Dunn F.

Yelp
My biggest regret is that I arrived when all the good stuff was nearly gone. No worries! My friend and I found the most delicious moist cupcake, full of flavor. We sat on the deck and made a friend. I'll be back and won't make that rookie mistake again.

Anna L.

Yelp
Behind EVO pizzeria is this amazing gem. EVO craft has AMAZING down to earth staff and they recently started making breakfast items as well. I got the bacon biscuit for $7 (with tax) and a delicious cup of coffee. There's plenty of outdoor seating and a few seats inside as well. Baked goods are delicious and go fast so be sure to snag your treat before they are all gone. Actually, same applies for breakfast, get them while they are hot before everyone else comes and gets it for you!

Laura H.

Yelp
This hidden gem behind the EVO pizzeria was def worth going ! I was mind blown by their Chocolate chess Pie it's brownie with pie crust ! And it was soo delicious ! I wish I tried the caramel bourbon ice cream but the vanilla bean bourbon ice cream with the chocolate chess pie was a great combo I'm glad I myself mixed ! Small little bakery but plenty of seating outside !
