Amazing food! Maybe the best octopus I’ve ever had, and I love octopus. We had the grilled octopus, the short rib pasta, the fennel and sausage pasta, and a dessert that I cant remember the name of, but it was delicious!! Highly recommend.

Google
We stopped in for drinks after dinner, but I wish we had saved room because the food and dessert menu looked amazing. My friend enjoyed her beer, I enjoyed my wine, and I appreciate that they offer very reasonable by-the-glass prices. Our server Vin was fantastic — friendly, efficient, and made the experience even better. Can’t wait to come back and try the food next time!

Google
The food and service were both excellent. The Charred Octopus was a standout, and the Chicken Parmesan and Lobster Tortellini were full of flavor and generously portioned. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the night — we felt well taken care of. A great experience overall!

From walking in and seeing how amazing it is presented inside, was matched by the level of service and quality of food given. Best ravioli I have ever had and the waiter gave the best customer service I have experienced in a long time. Will always come back here for more!

We showed up last night without a reservation with a large party. We were quickly accommodated for 11 and sat within 5 minutes of arriving. Our server was so friendly and organized considering we were a large group. The food was delicious and the drinks were constantly filled. Would highly recommend this place. I do not remember our servers name but she’s got a buzz cut and beautiful smile! Thanks again EVO!

Google
I was genuinely blown away by this place. The vibe is nice, the service is warm, and the short rib pasta was hands-down the best pasta dish I’ve ever tasted. Ricotta needs to be a staple in every pasta. It oozed into every nook of the penne, paired with short rib so tender it fell apart with the slightest touch. I shared bites with three other people, and they agreed it was excellent. My friends shared pizzas: The Calabrian and Prosciutto pizza was solid— tasty, but forgettable. The Funghi pizza, though, had an strange texture. I’d skip it and explore the other options instead. Still, EVO absolutely nailed it with that short rib pasta.

Google
Went with a group of 7 and Jamar, our server, was absolutely fantastic! The food was top notch. We got the octopus, bolognese, lobster & shrimp tortellini, summer salad, chocolate cake, tiramisu, and zeppolinis. Everything was to die for! We were like feral animals when the zeppolinis came out and the raspberry sauce…chefs kiss. All the pasta is made in house and they also have gf options which was great!

Yelp
We went back to EVO for a late dinner being that we had a busy day & we know that they're open late! We made reservations for a booth which is limited, we were pleasantly greeted by the hostesses with a booth waiting for us! Our server Corey greeted us, no rushing us even though they were very busy going on 9 pm Saturday evening... he even brought us a couple of samples of wine to help us choose which bottle to go with! The restaurant was very lively being that there's also a lounge area on the other side but they do have a divider wall! This time we chose a couple of different appetizers to start, the whipped feta & fried calamari with very large shrimp plus veggies.... both were delicious as we expected them to be! I went with the Shrimp Alfredo... no complaints house made pasta was made well & cooked perfectly! My husband had the chicken piccata, he was very happy that EVO did it right & made the skin crisp with the wing still attached... so happy with his choice! We finished our dinner with a piece of their tiramisu which is always a nice light ending! EVO has never disappointed us, we've always had a different server every time & each time we get the same great service! EVO is a great little restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale that has a great menu with delicious freshly made food & attentive service from all!

Yelp
Grabbed dinner with my friend and we were pretty impressed! We shared the pepperoni pizza with hot honey, and the whipped feta! Both dishes were delicious! We sat in the bar area and the bartender was very attentive. He made sure our meal was just as we wanted and was a great conversation! The ambience is really beautiful. This would be a great date night or celebration spot!

Yelp
A fun destination for a dinner out with friends! I was in town on a business trip with colleagues, and we all enjoyed EVO. I had chicken Parmesan for dinner. The six of us also shared several desserts, including cheesecake, tiramisu and Zeppolinis -- a giant pile of bite-sized fried dough, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served alongside three dipping sauces. This dessert was huge, and we finished maybe half of it. It was fun to explore different parts of the menu and we enjoyed the ambiance, including the fun decor. Overall, it was a good choice for a group outing.

Yelp
Evo in Old Town Scottsdale was so good. I had the fennel sausage pasta, shoutout to Yelp for calling it out as a top dish because it absolutely delivered. Full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and honestly one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a while. The vibe is stylish but still comfortable, definitely a bit on the fancier side, but not over the top. It was busy and loud (in a fun way), and even with our big group, the service was fantastic. Everything came out on time, servers were super attentive, and we felt well taken care of the whole night. If you're in Scottsdale and looking for a great dinner spot with energy, great food, and solid service, Evo should be on your list.

Yelp
This was a beautiful place for date night or to celebrate any special occasion. The mood lighting wasn't too dark and the atmosphere was chill but everyone was enjoying the meal and company. Our server Corey was simply amazing! He was attentive and polite and when my food wasn't quite right he was quick to act and correct it. All of the food was delicious and packed with flavor. There were two stars of the show the EVO salad and the brown butter cake. The salad has roasted Brussels, crispy pancetta, and fried kale!!! Oh my goodness the kale was amazing! Then with the balsamic reduction dressing was the cherry on top! For the brown butter cake it does take 30 mins for them to make it so make sure you order ahead! It was a piece of heaven! The caramelized outside was almost like toffee but then the moist cake was the perfect balance. Add ice cream and fresh berries and this is the most incredible end to a meal.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic Italian food in Old Town, Evo Italian is the place. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, cozy, and genuinely welcoming. We started with the focaccia app and it was AMAZING. -- for the main. I had a vodka pasta with chicken. The pasta tasted homemade, and the vodka sauce was phenomenal. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and gave great recommendations. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
There is nothing greater than the whipped feta. The combination of honey, herbs and creaminess was 10/10. Paired with the apples and bread it was delicious. It's on the sweeter side so if you like a rich whipped feta this is the perfect dish. The pizza was yummy and service was excellent.

Yelp
Grabbed some late night bites and everything was great. Really good old fashioned and their spicy pizza was really delicious. Big fan of the pizza dough, has a nice bite and crispy to it, but still a little chew, which I really like.

Marielle M.

Yelp
Great service and the food is amazing. The focaccia is to die for. Reservations would be recommended for the busier nights

Yelp
Dream about coming to this place and only wishing there was one closer--Cozy romantic but family friendly ambiance all about pasta and Italian! Tried the charred octopus which had a little bite to it, a burrata salad--fresh and tasty and the chicken parm- the star of the show. Served with a side of gnocchi, a unique twist instead of your usually side of pasta! With a nice thick, chocolate cake to go, this is my dream dinner. Will definitely make sure to save a seat for EVO on all my trips to Scotsdale.
google avatar

Anne N.

Yelp
Three of us popped in for dinner on a Friday night and were seated immediately. It's your typical, trendy night spot filled with the chatter of patrons. We ordered the charred octopus, Calabrian & Prosciutto pizza, and lobster gnocchi. The octopus and pizza were delicious; absolute must try dishes. I will likely be dreaming of the pizza at some point. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
EVO is one of those spots you can always count on for a great casual Italian meal. The food is consistently solid, with generous portions that definitely hit the spot. Whether you're in the mood for pasta, pizza, or something a little more unique, they always deliver. It can get a little loud, especially when it's busy, so just a heads-up if you're looking for a super quiet dinner. But the energy is part of the charm -- it's lively, cozy, and always buzzing. They also do custom menus for birthdays and special occasions, which is such a nice touch and makes planning a celebration really easy. Definitely a go-to spot when you want something low-key but still delicious and reliable.

Yelp
Came here a few times. My favorite is the brussel sprouts salad. Tried the pastas, pizza but my all time favorite is the salad. They have a great happy hour, Mountain View, and awesome music. Service is always great.

Yelp
Arrived here pretty late on Saturday night for a super late night bite and drink. There was like 10mins left to order before the kitchen closed. It was kinda busy inside though but more on the bar side of the restaurant. Our order: Margherita Pizza Fennel Sausage Pasta (I think?) Old Fashioned Can't remember the other two drink names My drink was good and refreshing I think? Lol weekend was a blur. Old fashioned is too strong for me and I can't remember if I liked the tall drink or not. The pizza and pasta were pretty good. I would order those again! I want to come back and try some of their other pastas next time. Great service even for a late night!

Yelp
We had a great time at EVO. We were very skeptical of Italian food (being from NJ) but it did not disappoint! Our server was very attentive and made great recommendations. I love that they are a scratch made kitchen, so everything could be modified if needed. Pasta was perfectly Al dente. The inside was dim lighting that could be a great vibe for date night or just a friends/family night out! Music not too loud and the drinks were delicious. We will definitely be back once we are back in AZ. Only thing I thought was weird is that they did not have vodka sauce as an option. I feel like I find that everywhere. But that did not ruin our experience at all.
google avatar

Yelp
Chicken Piccata was 11/10. Delicious. Spicy marg was also pristine. Excellent bartender. & They were blasting Slim Shady at the end of the night. I love this place

Yelp
After a great Quarterly Business review today, it was time to get some drinks, relax and enjoy some food! The place selected by vote was Evo. Service was great! Everyone I interacted with was friendly. We were greeted immediately and brought to our table. We had drinks in hand within minutes and appetizers ordered shortly after. We ordered a decent number of appetizers, but my fav was the Whipped Feta, it was amazing! For my entree I went with the Fennel Sausage pasta which I thought was great as well. I'm leaving full and satisfied for certain. On a scale of 1 - 10, I'd definitely go back for a second taste!

Yelp
Amazing food and great service!!! We came here with a party of 14 for my friend's bachelorette. Kory and Toni were extremely amazing servers (not sure if I spelled their names correctly). We felt extremely welcomed with the warm hospitality that they gave us. We were recommended 3 appetizers to share so we got 3 of each to spread and share through out the table. Focaccia Rustica - This was absolutely SOOO delicious. I highly highly recommend getting this to share. The saltiness of the brie and sweetness from the honey was a perfect combo. Grilled Octopus - Grilled to perfection, and amazing texture. You can tell that the octopus is fresh. Evo salad - The crispy kale paired so well with the brussell sprouts. Absolutely a great salad to share. Scallops - I got scallops for my main dish and they were divine. Definitely fresh, and cooked very well since it had the perfect texture. The greens on top was a little salty for my taste but I just ate the scallops with less of it and it was tasty still. Their cocktails and wine was delicious as well. Overall, our experience and the food at EVO was very enjoyable and I can't wait to be back when I'm visiting Scottsdale!

Yelp
I sat at the bar on my own. The staff weren't overly friendly but ok. The food was delicious. I had pasta Pomodoro with meatballs. The bread is insane. I could've just made a meal out of that with sauce. lol. Nice trendy ambiance great decor. Would go back.

Yelp
We tried EVO for the first time and really liked the food and service. We recommend trying them. Had the beef short rib and the Lobster and shrimp Tortellini. Both were delicious.

Maddie I.

Yelp
Sneakily making it into one of my top food spots in the Scottsdale area. Some top tier food/drinks/staff and reasonably priced. Would recommend having a reservation though. Otherwise, check it out :)
google avatar

Yelp
This place sucks except for the drinks. Like if you know how to cook and SEASON food this is NOT it. But if you have no taste and like crap food come here! This place is GROSS. I'm not even Italian and can cook better Italian. Ambiance is giving dive bar meets mid level restaurant. I've heard good things so I wanted to check it out... obviously a mistake on my end :( "Charred Octopus" more like overcooked, dry, disgusting octopus. Chicken Alfredo more like trash... Chile Shrimp, more like overcooked noodles and yuck. Also those noodles are not giving made in house... they're giving bagged egg noodles. Really disappointed I came here. Servers are good though!
google avatar

Dianne E.

Yelp
Wow the pasta here is so freaking good! It was my first time here and I got the lobster tortellini and there was so much sauce it was very filling. This place gives me club vibes because it's dark and they play loud music. But the service is excellent and I love the music they play. It's kind of dressy and it gives me LA vibes. Lived there for 5 years and they have restaurants that looked like this place. I also did the check in offer for the .1 cent limoncello shot. Wasn't really a fan. But I also ordered the rosè and that was really delicious.
google avatar

Tiffani H.

Yelp
Oh my gosh. This place was so delicious, we were sad that we couldn't finish our plates because the portions were so big. We actually shared three entrées between four of us and it was more than enough. The decor very cute and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were on vacation and ate here our first day and seriously considered going back again, but decided we needed to give other places a try as well. We should've gone here twice.!

Yelp
I originally came to yelp to write about how great my experience has always been for the past 3 years and came across some nasty reviews. I used to work in the service industry for YEARS until I was finally tired of the entitled customers and the overall attitude of some people. In my days of serving the only time we asked people to move tables is if we were on a wait and they wouldn't leave (there are other people who are waiting to have an experience too, not just your group, BE MINDFUL. You might have felt rushed out BUT there was probably another group complaining about the wait time for a reserved table- what do you do then??). I've been going to this location for sometime now and as a bar regular I feel like there's so much more to these reviews. How was the manager supposed to know that your service wasn't great if you didn't bring it up to him DURING the time of your service? I can see both sides of the story but you're coming in on a Sunday night which is one of the busiest nights i've seen them in action all the weeks i've gone. I'm just confused because when I look around the restaurant it's not like the servers are lounging around, they're hustling to make their rent and get their bills paid. It's a privilege to be served and I feel like people forgot how grateful we should be to finally be able to sit in a restaurant again after the pandemic. People forget that these are human beings with emotions and feelings and an actual life outside of serving. I hope you get the service you deserve next time.
google avatar

Jason T.

Yelp
This spot is great for late night. The food is solid. I got the short rib ragu pasta. I usually expect ragu based pasta to be on the heavier/rich side, but this was more light and sweet. The pasta itself was great. Service was excellant. The atmosphere is extremely dark if you are dining in.
google avatar

Areen B.

Yelp
Really good but I fear shrink-flation hit. My lobster tortellini had maybe 3 small pieces of lobster on it and the plate was 70% sauce. It was good don't get me wrong but there could have been more lobster or more tortellini to offset the large amount of sauce given.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
Made reservations for 9 for a Sunday night; we were seated pretty soon after we arrived. Off the bat, the place itself was pretty loud, I felt I had to shout at my friends most of the night to hear. Dim lighting, romantic ambience, dark leather seats but I can't say I enjoyed the smell. Let's get onto the food- My friend and I split three items by starting with the focaccia. I was pleasantly surprised; the creaminess from the cheese was perfectly complimented by the chewiness of the bread and sweetness of honey. The evo salad was next, I'm glad we split this bc I was getting a bit tired of the taste. It had a lot of fun textures and flavors but just got old quickly. For our main, we ordered the bolognese. The pasta was perfectly al dente with a nice and meaty sauce. We were celebrating two bachelorettes at this party and our server brought out two free desserts which was really sweet- fried donuts with three sauces and tiramisu. Also! Half off a bottle of wine on Sunday, so we took advantage of that as well. Overall, was pleasantly surprised at this dining experience- great food, top notch service, and reasonable pricing! Would come again!

Yelp
Go sit at the bar and grab a drink and a dessert for a quick date! The atmosphere and service is great!
google avatar

Ellen M.

Yelp
Pros: Locally sourced ingredients Friendly, knowledgeable staff Easy parking Large dining area Amazing meatballs and sauce EVO salad had a wonderful array of textures with crispy kale, tender brussels and pancetta Cons: A little pricey, but well worth it Pro tip: Check in on Yelp and you'll get a glass of Limoncello!
google avatar

Yelp
A girlfriend and I decided last minute to step out for NYE, with no reservation! We were able to snag a couple of seats at the bar, with an amazing bartender! They had a price fix menu for the evening but at the bar we weee able to order off of it a la carts which was perfect. OMG delicious meatballs and my espresso martini hit the spot. We didn't stay until the ball drop as we had another stop. The place has a great vibe, excellent service and great food. I'll definitely be back for a full dinner.
google avatar

Andrea H.

Yelp
I'll start by saying the food was delicious! We had the EVO Meatballs, Steak Crescenza, and small Caesar salad. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the HH cocktails and the food. Unfortunately, a MAGA maggot and her friend sat down across the bar from us and began spewing their bigotry, racism, and hate unfettered by the staff. She appeared to be a regular as she had an insulated cup with the company insignia and the staff referred to her by name. She is the epitome of the moral decay of our current society and the complete depletion of anything resembling human decency. While I fully support her 1st amendment right, as abhorrent as those words may be, I will think twice about where I spend my time and money if I'm forced to listen to words that are so deeply offensive and hateful. Sadly, I will not be back.

Yelp
I took my daughter for her birthday dinner and although the food is absolutely delicious, the service was really bad. There weren't many people dining , 4-5 tables from what I could see and upon being sat down we waited about 10 minutes to at least be acknowledged till I had to go ask the hostess to sit us somewhere that a server was available. She told me she'd send a different server to take care of us which finally one came to take our drink order and I ordered iced tea with lemons which getting the lemons seemed to be an ordeal because he forgot and nothing to sweeten my tea with either so I had to ask a different server to get me some and it still took like 15 minutes to get those. Our server seemed a bit spaced out and after brining our food he never came to check on us to see if we were pleased or needed anything else so again we had to waive him down so my daughter could ask for some fresh Parmesan for her pasta (something every other Italian place automatically offers when you get your food). All in all what was supposed to be a fun and nice dinner for my daughter, ended being one of constantly having to try to get our servers attention for something we didn't get which was SERVICE. Of all places to choose to spend my money being from out of town it's really sad such a good place had such awful service. The food is some of the best I've had and if they have take out, I highly recommend the food.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
The restaurant itself was cute -- I liked the simple rustic interior and the dim lighting made for a good date night ambiance! Nothing completely blew me away, but it was enjoyable, portions were large and met the price point. The meatballs in the meatball appetizer plate were juicy and huge! Definitely good for sharing. The focaccia appetizer was also very big; if I were to go again, I wouldn't get this just for two people but maybe a larger group, as we didn't even make a dent in it. It was also more of a stuffed flatbread than traditional focaccia, but still a tasty option for a cheesy/carby appetizer (also a little on the sweeter side). I really enjoyed the lobster gnocchi entree. The lobster tail was big and tender (cooked very well), and the gnocchis were also large and doughy, which I like! Both the sauces on the lobster gnocchi and on the chile shrimp were good but not anything special -- in my opinion they both could've been a little thicker/creamier and had richer flavor (for instance, the chile shrimp could've had a bit of a kick added to it). Service was standard and food came out pretty quick. Our waiter expressed he was overly concerned we would fill up on focaccia and sent our entrees out very soon after. While I don't disagree that we didn't need the full focaccia, as mentioned above, it felt a little rushed. All in all this was a good meal and made for a fun night out! Would say this is probably more of a 4.5/5.

Yelp
Amazing late night spot. One of the absolute best places for late night food. Full menu and the food is AMAZING. Josh and Derek are the best and of course we can't forget about Matt. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
We had an enjoyable evening here a couple weeks back. We sat on the patio which was just okay. It's a patio that is right against a busy road and in the parking lot so take it for what it is. The service was outstanding. They have a very nice menu with some great options. We got the chicken Parmigiana which was well prepared. The chicken was tender the sauce was flavorful. The pasta is homemade. The fennel sausage was just okay. The pasta was again homemade and delicious. The fennel might have been just a little bit on the large side. I truly expected more flavor from this dish. I will definitely be back to try this restaurant again in the future.
google avatar

Mason S.

Yelp
I got the chicken piccata, very good. I was expecting pasta but got mashed potatoes - should've looked at the menu better. Overall really good, a lot of flavor and very juicy. A little heavy so it's nice if you are looking for something filling. The chicken is very tender, it comes with a steak knife but the butter knife cuts it just fine. Very nice service, everyone is very nice and it's pretty inside.

Yelp
Went and got pizza at 1 o'clock in the morning it was delicious. Worth the price. Service was fantastic. The food was fantastic and the wine was fantastic 10 out of 10. Recommend also I love the ambience very classy, but still very lively. You can definitely go there dressed up or you can go there in jeans and no one will look at you like you're out of place.

Yelp
While visiting old town, Phoenix on a vacation. I was introduced to Evo by a friend, where we went for dinner. It quickly became one of my favorite locations to dine at while in town. We arrived around 9pm and the place was jumping (that means everyone was having fun). The dining tables were filled, music was playing and drinks, were flowing. We happily got a table outside to enjoy the nice warm evening weather and clear skies. We had a few cocktails (sadly I don't remember the names). But they were so tasty and enjoyable drinks. We were introduced to a really amazing guy named Jamar. He was such an awesome employee, who is: friendly, attentive (to every detail) and made us feel welcomed. But he is also very passionate about what he does. He represents EVO to the highest level. I ordered the: Arancini (for appetizers), Alfredo and my friend ordered the: Prime Fillet. All were Sooo good. The filet was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the Alfredo was creamy and tasty. Most of the night we spent drinking and laughing about anything and everything. Thats the energy that EVO, gives off. You can come for dinner, Happy Hour etc. and you will enjoy yourself. We came back three different times during the week long stay in town. Everything we had (multiple meals and even more drinks) was delicious and filling. Worth every penny. We really Loved our meals at EVO and enjoyed the vibe this location gave me. I would highly recommend making a reservation though. Especially, if you plan on dining on a Friday or Saturday evening. This location is definitely on my return list and would love to come here every time I'm in town. This place gives off such great energy!

Yelp
I came by myself to scout out a place to bring the gal pals next month. I sat at the bar and felt very comfortable. I ordered the bruschetta trio and the arancini. The arancini was delicious, lightly fried and served with lovely sauce. But.....the bruschetta was awful and that was the main dish I am sampling for the gals. First of all, what was served to me was PITA BREAD!!? with three bowls of different spreads, I guess they call this deconstructed. I was totally disappointed and when the bartender asked if everything alright, I told him I was shocked to be served pita bread for bruschetta. He said that's the way they do it there. Well there we are, disappointed, dismayed and dismissed. Won't ever be back.

Yelp
We went for New Years and they had a fixed menu so this might play into our review. The place was very festive and ready to celebrate. Our server was so sweet and accommodating. There were good options on each part of the menu. Here are some stand out dishes from our night - The EVO salad - GOSH DARN, this was so good!!! Probably the best kind of salad we had. Very complex and pleasant. The Tomahawk - So scrumptious! Perfectly cooked. The Feta dip - YUMMERS! The filet mignon - so smooth and decadent Some areas that could have improved was the tasting menu had massive portions so by the time you got to the main dish, we were pretty full. We were also thrown for a loop when we saw a fixed tipping charge for a large party yet there was only three of us. Granted, it was a fixed menu, New Years and a price per person instead of the usual way to order and pay by dish, HOWEVER, that seemed a bit much. Also, the mushroom pasta dish was misleading because the menu said wild mushrooms but it was clearly regular mushrooms. Not clear on the menu so that is misleading. Not the biggest deal yet wish that was more clear. Overall, the food was good but some of the courses chosen were not our favorite.

Yelp
I wanted to update my review from my last visit to say how great our experience was last night. The drink I got from the bar was perfectly balanced. The lobster and shrimp linguini was amazing and the service and ambiance was very much on point. Great job Evo
google avatar

Yelp
I will start off with the positive. The food was delicious, on point. Ordered the Chicken Piccata and Focaccia. Both dishes were amazing. What was not amazing in any way was the service. Our server Zach lacked people skills and attentive service. Did not feel welcomed in any way shape or form. Our meal was served 45-50 minutes after our order was taken and once served felt ignored during our meal. He kept walking by our table just not stopping by to ask if we needed anything. The only plus tonight was the meal and the BIG MINUS was the lack of service. I don't understand why Zach is still a waiter when he's mentioned BY NAME in other poor reviews for his abysmal customer service skills. This a poor reflection on the restaurant as a whole.

Yelp
Summary -- Food was good, Service was terrible -- worthy of a rickety soviet era restaurant in Moscow. We went on Sunday evening for a special event - Daughter's birthday. As soon as we entered, the hostess greeted us and asked us if we wanted a booth or a table. I said either is fine, but I prefer a booth. She took us and put us in a booth -- right next to the loudest group in the entire restaurant. I am not sure if that is ok or not -- I am sure everyone will have their own opinion. I feel the hostess must be aware of the state of the restaurant and balance such considerations and if someone is really loud, put them on table elsewhere -- especially if there are other tables available. Well we could not talk to each other, but I got lots of info on Barack Obama, Philly Eagles, Las Vegas betting, Phoenix weather among a host of topics. The waitress was a disaster. She is the perfect grumpy soviet matron IMHO. She hardly smiled, was late in giving the menu, never checked back to see if we need anything or if the food was good. When it came time for desserts, we sent we wanted the menu. She went for a long walk and after 5 minutes she came back and picked up the menu for the next table and handed it to us. Not sure what means? This seemed like an upscale restaurant and service should be of the same -- but who knows -- maybe the owners have different opinions in this matter. The food was good. Saving grace. The Arancini was excellent and completely enjoyed it. So was the pasta dish I ordered. The pizza was excellent. -- but again the waitress did not check on us. We were sharing the appetizer and she never asked if we need side plate or do we need some additional cheese grated on the pasta or the pizza. Why bother the customer which such social graces??? The CheeseCake we ordered was fine -- not the best I have had. Would rate that a 3.5 out of 5. Overall -- entirely forgettable restaurant. Good Food, but Terrible service (Calling the service bad would be an understatement)

Yelp
The whole experience was just amazing from start to end, with much due to Jemar's awesome service. It was our first time there and we were well taken care of by him. Super friendly, quick to help, and we could not have asked for a better server. He is such a gem and we were lucky to have him! Then there's the food. We had a pretty good amount (meatballs, arancini, frito misto, chef's pizza, bolognese pasta, tiramisu) and all of them were delicious, no complaints at all. The standout ones for my boyfriend were the arancini balls and the pizza. My favorite was the bolognese pasta.... It was probably one of the best I've ever had. That said, I will definitely return again when I'm in town. Fantastic food and unbeatable service

Yelp
Service was great. Absolutely zero complaints with every one I interacted with. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good. Mussels took me by surprise and I enjoyed it more than anticipated. May have been my favorite dish. The lobster gnocchi was a bit disappointing. It was a little tough and I didn't think the gnocchi was very good. The dish was also overly creamy and too thick. Flavor was still good. Closing it out with the tiramisu made the whole experience great. It was very enjoyable. If I'm ever back in town I'll definitely try one of their pizzas. Pictures people have posted here looks so good. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
Amazing meal! There were ten of us -- and only one individual isn't like their order despite all the reasonable efforts of the staff to please their palate. A table,of family and friends, we were able to sample everyone's dish. The butter and Parmesan cheese-encrusted pasta that accompanied my chicken parmesan was perfect, as 8 others agreed. My selection was perfectly spiced and cooked (though, for my tastes, the marinara might have used a touch more garlic). Portions were generous. Noise level makes conversation a challenge -- but that was due to one table whose patrons were having a bit too much fun. Yanno? Service was attentive without being cloying. We'll be back.

Yelp
Everytime I come here, I'm never disappointed! Always such a welcoming atmosphere and amazing staff! Tonight my best friend and I started with the bread service with their garlic butter and some glasses of Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. Then for our entrees we got the braised short rib and bolognese‍. Everything was absolutely delicious and will be coming back again soon!

Yelp
For being an out-of-towner living in NJ and having access to NYC, I never thought that a place in Scottsdale, AZ would hit it out of the park with Italian food. So me and an old girlfriend of mine - from 25 years ago - decided we wanted Italian food. Being a bit skeptical, I decided to be adventurous and try Evo. Beforehand, we were just looking up places on Yelp and she found this spot in Old Town Scottsdale. The amount of reviews and the star rating was a no-brainer so we headed there. As soon as we got to Evo, the lot was full and that was indicator 1 that this was going to be good. We noticed some outdoor seating and like most, if not all, other restaurants in the PHX/Scottsdale area they had misters (or whatever they're called). We get inside, and we noticed a dimly lit and intimate dining room with a nice bar on the left. A nice neon sign on the back wall that read, "Feed me pasta and tell me I'm pretty" in script was illuminated. Eventually we were greeted by what seemed to be the manager (there were a few other guests in front of us waiting to be seated). If you are planning on visiting, make a reservation - luckily for us we were able to find seats at the bar. We were greeted by a bartender that was attentive to our needs for the evening - now that I recall, there were 2 other bartenders that also helped out and we noticed they were doing an IMMACULATE job making sure everyone at the bar was taken care of and drinks were full. My girlfriend had a question about one of the guava drinks on the menu and this 'tender clarified all her questions and was professional about it. Turns out she LOVED the drink! My glass of water was always topped off without me asking for more - talk about great service! I ordered a couple of apps for us - the Bruschetta and Arancini. At first I thought we had to pick which kind of mozzarella combo out of 3 we wanted for the bread but it turns out it came with all 3 - talk about a great variety! It came with mozzarella and tomato, mozz and pesto, and mozz with fig jam and apples - ALL SO GOOD! The only thing that stood out was the bread - I'm used to sliced Italian but these came with what seemed to be pita bread slices. It was different but still good! The Arancini was stuffed with cheese, peas, and something else and came with marinara - this was surprisingly good too so when you come here I strongly recommend these 2 apps. For dinner, my girlfriend ordered the Chicken Alfredo and I ordered the Filet Mignon (came in 9 ozs) medium with mashed potatoes, spinach, and baby carrots. Steak came out cooked to perfection and the sides were also good. The Chicken Alfredo was good too but we felt that the fettuccine was slightly overcooked - not a huge deal but we prefer it al dente. We filled up on dinner and didn't have room for dessert but had we saved room, there were a few things that caught our eyes. All-in-all we would definitely come back here for a quality dinner with a great staff. I honestly have to say I was a little sketchy about Italian food outside of NJ/NY - a bit biased you could say but this restaurant knocked it out of the park! We will always remember this place and will definitely return! Thanks to the entire crew for a great evening!
