We love Evviva! Scratch kitchen, family recipes, generous parking and portions - it’s the full package. For lunch the Bento Box is not to be missed. What a deal for $18! Mozzarella made fresh and pasta imported from Italy. I think what I love the most is that there are plenty of lighter dishes- the chicken parm and lasagna are great- but if you don’t want to go heavy there’s lots of vegan and fish options too. Plus, most of the menu they can do gluten-free…amazing for Italian! I’ll definitely be back!

Discovered this restaurant last night for a quick dinner and we will certainly be back! The quality of the food was excellent and the service was outstanding. I especially like that they have an extensive gluten free menu. I had the GF shrimp and scallop risotto, which was delicious, and a really excellent house salad. (So often, house salads are just a sad combo of a few greens and maybe one or two other vegetables; this one included green and Kalamata olives and small mozzarella balls, all dressed up in a wonderful balsamic dressing.) My husband had the lasagna with extra Bolognese sauce and was very pleased. I have a feeling we may become regulars.

Food was delicious with ample portions and beautifully plated! Warm, professional unobtrusive helpful waiters/waitresses. A delight Rose Sangria! Super fresh bread!

Google
Very nice restaurant, took my wife for dinner. Our server Meg was great, the food was awesome and the prices were very reasonable. The Risotto texture was a little mushy, it tasted great it was just a texture observation. I would skip the sausage, it tasted fine I just didn't think it was a value. The salmon was cooked to perfection The Raviolis were more filling than expected, plenty of left overs, and they tasted out of this world!

Stopped in here for a weeknight dinner and it was what I would expect from a chain like Evviva; decent portion sizes, reliably good tasting dishes, hit or miss service. For most items on the menu the prices are way too high for what you’re getting. My partner got the seafood risotto with the smallest scallops I have ever seen. We also were never asked whether we wanted small or large portions (of food or the drinks) and were surprised to see our server decided on the larger size of everything for us.

Food was OK. Nothing special about it. I had Shrimp scampi, but it was actually butter scampi. A lot of butter, I couldn't eat half of it. The hand towel provided in table was very stinky, I would refrain from using it again if I go there. The service was good. I went for Monday lunch and there was hardly any crowd there. There was lot of room to improve the food and ambience more appealing.

Google
Really good quality food with selections for vegetarians and those wanting to eat gluten free. They also have options for dairy free. All at a very reasonable price. The waiters and the customers alike were very friendly.

Very good pizza. Normally, it is not very busy. Food arrived fast. I think they are a little short of servers. Nice desserts, too.

Yelp
I came here today and ordered their seasonal lobster melt. This was more like a tomato melt and not a lobster. The tomato was cut so thick to hide the tiny amount of lobster they give you. This sandwich tastes pretty good but it's not worth the price when you get mostly tomato and lettuce not lobster.

Yelp
Food has always been good. The location is terrible, with the worst parking lot design in history. But tonight, the service was poor for a simple take out order. Between several people standing behind the counter more interested in their own conversation instead of the growing line of patrons, the hostess allowed people to cut the line of those waiting, and the manager, who simply stood there trying to look important and not actually managing anything, the experience was less than ideal. We will be taking a break from this restaurant, hoping turnover brings competence.

Yelp
My party was sat and the restaurant was fairly empty at the time. The first thing I noticed was that many of the tables were not bussed at all. Old food, used drink glasses sitting out on several tables, and there aren't that many tables in the restaurant. We were one of a handful of parties there at the time and we sat for about 40 minutes before we had to ask one of the staff to serve us. In that time, most of the staff that passed us by didn't even look like they wanted to even look at us. Eventually, a waiter came over and apologized and took our order. Our salads came to our table before our drinks (which was just water or soda) and our waiter seemed more preoccupied with chatting with one of the other tables. The food was fine enough, but because of the length of time it took for us to actually order, it then seemed like we were being rushed out the door because it was closing time. To be honest, if we had been served sooner, we would have been out of your hair before close! I've been to the Westford location many times over the years and have never had a problem, this was a very different experience. I'm not sure if the restaurant is just understaffed (it looked like there was only a handful of employees at the time) or just poorly managed, or both. But regardless, I can't say the experience makes me want to go back.

Yelp
My Favorite place in Maynard! Everyone is so kind and they always remember my sons allergies! The margarita pizza with added mushrooms is my favorite!!

Yelp
I tried Evviva for the first time while house sitting in Maynard April 2023 - first time at this location and first time at any Evviva ever. Veal tasted good and wasn't tough but the breading tasted burnt and just slid off the meat. The spaghetti was fine. The meatballs were ok. The sauce was acidic and too salty.
google avatar

Customer F.

Yelp
I'll keep it simple. Just had lunch with my wife and another couple. Our server Sara was fantastic. The Veal Parm panini is friggin delicous. Everyone else loved their food. That is all I have to say for now.

Yelp
We had dined here once previously and had a wonderful meal and experience out on the patio so when we decided to try and have a luncheon outside somewhere several days ago we decided to go here since it was on our way to Waltham. An added benefit was their express lunch menu. When we arrived we thought the place would be very busy as the parking lots were full, but there was lost no one in the restaurant. We were seated out on the patio and ordered and after 25 minutes I mentioned to my wife so much for an express menu! Perhaps it was just to get people into the restaurant after all! Our food finally came, and our server seemed a bit flustered only to find that my wife's sandwich was not prepared correctly. So she said it would be just five minutes to replace and I had asked for some mayonnaise, but she told me she didn't think the restaurant had any. Twelve minutes later she arrived after "searching the whole walk in refrigerator" to find mayonnaise, she brought me a little cup of it, but she had forgotten my wife's sandwich. She went back in and we never saw her again, but 10 minutes later her manager arrived with my wife's sandwich and apologized and he left. My wife took one bit of her vegetarian Caprese sandwich and immediately discovered that it had chicken in it, which she had expressly said no to when placing the original order. It was an option, but this was a vegetarian sandwich and was honestly the reason we came here in the first place. I got up and went in and got hold of the manager and heatedly told him how the sandwich had been prepared. For a restaurant which holds allergy issues so highly I cannot tell you what an EGREGIOUS error this was. He went out to the patio to retrieve the sandwich and by this time my burger and dime size caesar salad had long been eaten, so my wife refused to be served another so they prepared one to go and we left, 55 minutes later, four sandwich's prepared and one eaten (mine). Rather than leave a YELP review immediately this was such a serious problem that I decided to communicate with management directly about it, and I got a response but in the end, their resolution was none and we are left as impressed with the restaurant group as we are the restaurant and its food itself. I wouldn't bother to attempt to get a meal at another of their locations since they are pretty much all in the same region. We dined a few days later at their sister restaurant, the 110 Grill, where we have consistently had good meals at every locations we have dined. I decided to have a burger, and when it arrived I asked if it was indeed an 8 ounce burger, because it was literally double the size of the 8 ounce burger I had gotten at Eviva Trattoria a few days prior. I said chalk it up to yet another reason for us to never return.

Yelp
Pizza is amazing!! Definitely get the homemade crust. Really nice bar area and quick for lunch. Outside space looks nice too

Yelp
Dee-lish! Came in tonight for a b-day dinner with a friend and Evviva did not disappoint. I was surprised by how roomy and spacious it is, there's a nice ambience. There's also plenty of parking. Service was friendly and attentive. Tonight was Pasta Night and they were offering a 3-course dinner for $20. You get to choose between the Evviva (kind of like a Caprese) or Caesar salad, and a variety of pasta dishes for your entree. I had the bolognese and my friend got the eggplant parmigiana, both were yummy. For dessert, we each got a little cannoli. It's a great deal and the portions are generous, yet an ideal size -- not too big or filling. It's a good option for anyone watching the cals where you can have a treat, but not go overboard. Drinks were solid, Mai Tais have been my drink of choice lately and theirs were excellent: strong, with a good balance of flavor. I'll definitely be returning, we had a great experience!

Yelp
I was so excited about their commitment to food allergies and a dedicated gluten free menu. That was the extent of it for me. We ordered a salad, the risotto and my dad got the short ribs. When I say ordered it was because the only thing that came out of the kitchen was the risotto. While tasty it was over salted and too al dente for my taste. It was supposed to be mushroom risotto but there were maybe 4 mushrooms in it. This dish is very inexpensive to make there should have been more mushrooms in it. I'm not sure if it was the kitchen or the waitress but neither seemed like they were having their best night. At this point I don't even want to try their sister restaurant 110 grill. I am completely turned off. The food seemed gimmicky and without imagination. I am not sure this is a common theme in suburban restaurants as I am visiting from California where the freshness of the produce and food take priority. While happy to have gluten-free options I won't be back.

Yelp
"Where everyone knows your name".... Maynard may be a few miles west of Boston, but when you walk into Evviva Trattoria Maynard Crossing, it is truly like Cheers where everyone knows your name. Katie and Sarah are ready to wet your whistle with a beer, wine, or cocktail. JR and Matty run a tight ship and pitch in whatever needed. The food is consistently good and always leave here satisfied. Do yourself a favor and pop in, introduce yourself to the locals, and have a nice meal or drink while making new friends.

William V.

Yelp
I am writing to provide an update on my review. The Management reached out to me the next day and were very apologetic. They offered to refund the meal or provide a gift card. Unfortunately due to my schedule I was unable to follow up with them however I was very happy that they reached out. Kudos to Evviva Trattoria!!!!!!

Joe G.

Yelp
A really good casual, family atmosphere! Service was super on top of everything and very friendly. And the food is delicious, lot of great options (I suggest the pizza for sure)!

Yelp
My parents and I have visited a few times now. We always share the Evviva salad without cucumbers. I usually order the red sangria but have also tried the tropical sangria with pineapple-infused Tito's, both of which are great. My mom usually gets the tagliatelle bolognese with a request to omit the truffle salt. I've had the lasagna with bolognese sauce, chicken parmesan, and most recently the fig & prosciutto pizza with arugula and lemon vinaigrette. Everything is delicious and the service is pretty good too. There are high ceilings and plenty of space for tables to spread out. Oh, and I love the classic murals on the walls! (visited 8/20/21 and 1/5/22)

Susan D.

Yelp
I can barely give one star. We sat outside because it was a beautiful night. There were no clean tables, but there was no one there and no waiting line. They were not in the weeds there was trash and food on the the patio. The service was awful. As mentioned above, the restaurant was empty. Our food arrived before the bread/oil and our drinks. We then asked for pepper and grated cheese. It never arrived. The food was bland and chewy. Who has shrimp scampi is bland? Don't waste your hard earned money here! There are other fantastic restaurants in the area.

Yelp
Worst food ever. Like cracking open a can of Chef Boyardee and dumping it on a piece of wonderbread toast. The only saving grace is the wine to help you not care about what you're eating, and the outdoor lounge with firepits in the fall.

Yelp
Tried out the new Evviva Trattoria in Maynard on a recent Saturday night. It was supposed to be a nice, summer evening so I called an reserved a table outside on their patio for 7:30PM without any issues. We were greeted and seated after a quick check that our table was cleared and cleaned. While not the issue with Evviva, an annoying couple with two sons under age 10 were seated neat us, and they were not restaurant trained. What does that mean? Kids should act like little adults at a restaurant in public and not be running around the table playing games and making noises well above the volume of the other dinners or the music playing on the patio. Thankfully they left before our main entrees arrived. The staff was friendly, but not overly welcoming or talkative. No specials were reviewed; just the standard menu. The menu has various offerings from pizza to burgers or seafood and more traditional Italian pastas and entrees. We were asked if we would like bread with oil and out came 3 rolls make rom pizza dough and the oil. Why do restaurants tend to serve 3 rolls for a party of 2 and not just 2 or 4? That seems to happen far too frequently. Well, the rolls were warm and soaked up the oil very well. For entrees we decided to go with the traditional Evviva salad with grilled chicken. Not being so hungry, the small was ordered which was about a 6" diameter plate, which was fine. The chicken was grilled and served warm and the waitress brought the salad on the side, per request. The chicken Marsala was served over spaghetti and in a bowl. Three thin breast meat medallions over spaghetti and with some Marsala juices at the bottom. Far from any traditional Marsala I have experiences previous, and it garnered a 3 star; edible, but nothing to rave about or to plan to order when you visit Evviva. We passed on dessert and close the patio down by 9PM on a beautiful Saturday night. If you are in the area I would give Evviva a try for a modestly priced family meal.

Debbie P.

Yelp
I went to Evviva's 2x in the last 2 weeks. Once for lunch and once for dinner. The atmosphere was attractive and there was no wait each time. The food is tasty, fresh and there is plenty on the menu to select from. For lunch I had the chicken parm sandwich and side salad. It was a huge sandwich that was flavorful, hot and the Caesar salad was perfect. Dressing was not drowning the lettuce, croutons fresh. For dinner I had the pasta w/ veggies and cream sauce. Very flavorful, plenty big for me to have for lunch the next day and my Cosmo was just right. I wish I had room to try out a dessert. Our waiter Tim was great explaining our questions, he didn't rush us and checked on us to make sure all was good- it was actually great. Prices are normal. My only complaint, the tables are a bit too close together and our chairs kept getting bumped by people walking around. I have to say this is one of my fav Italian restaurants in the area. Highly recommended. Remember to sign up for rewards!

Yelp
There was a DIME in my soup!! Took a spoonful of soup and had to remove a dime from my mouth. The manager did apologize and remove the soup from my bill. Was it the only coin in the soup? If there was a coin in there, what else was in there? You've been warned... Hi Jini , please post your findings here... no need to check my messages... I'm not interested in anything beyond making sure this doesn't happen to others Dan

Sandra P.

Yelp
was given regular pasta after ordering and explaining a gluten allergy. unfortunately as this was takeout, I didnt realize until I got really sick later. Another time, I was given a gf salad that had wheat croutons on top, and I had to send it back- luckily that one I noticed. The menu is really gf friendly, but staff at this location at least are not careful, unfortunately.

Lynette G.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times and always enjoy the food, service and ambiance. Enjoy the salads, eggplant dishes including sandwiches and veggie pizza.

Gideon O.

Yelp
We had a large group and they accommodated us well. Servers were friendly and attentive. Food came promptly and together, which is I would imagine is not easy for a large group. My salmon entree and my son's chicken club sandwich were excellent. Thanks!

Judy T.

Yelp
We had an odd experience with their food recently. We got a takeout order and by the time we discovered the problems, we were too far away from the restaurant to go back to ask them to makes the fixes. We ordered a couple of gluten-free rolls. We got one piece of gluten free focaccia. I'm not complaining at all that it was focaccia and not a roll, but we did pay for 2. One of us got shrimp Marsala. Literally, there was NO sauce in that dish. No Marsala. Not sure how that could have come out of their kitchen and made its way into the bag. The other dish we got was the veal medallions. The polenta and broccolini were delicious. Unfortunately, the veal was over cooked and dry. I was so excited to be able to go to a restaurant with such an extensive gluten-free menu, but it's just disappointing that their execution fell short.

Paul D.

Yelp
Ok ..so after sitting at the bar which we prefer for the atmosphere I'm headed to the ear doctor to see if my drum had burst ..just kidding but why does the bartender have to throw an empty bottle of wine into a recycle bin with other wine bottlers and disrupt a pleasant evening..this isn't the 99 or Dorchester Ave...please please please fix that so unpleasant ..food is above a 99 but the experience still gets a 3...

Yelp
Fantastic chicken park sandwich and fried raviolis. Meal comes with bread and oil as well. All were delicious and came out timely and warm. Live music during the week is a plus!. It rained a bit outside but the wait staff was super accommodating and quickly helped out. I left my card there too and they were able to keep it safely until I picked it up the next day. Overall awesome experience. I'd come back again!

Conrad M.

Yelp
The interior is nice as are the staff and food when you eventually get it. The place wasn't even half full but yet it took more than 45min to get our entrees?? I get they could have an off night from time to time but this is 2 for 2.

Jim K.

Yelp
One of my favorite radio shows said they were going to broadcast from Evviva so I decided to drive over. There was a good crowd and service was still very efficient. I ordered a small shrimp scampi thinking it was a lunch size and it arrived in 10 minutes. The scampi was really good just too small. That just meant I had to order something else to go with it. My mistake. Since I was spending my afternoon listening to Grace Curley and Howie Carr I took my time. I ended up ordering a small pepperoni pizza and it was just what I needed. Love the vibe inside Evviva. Food was delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Delicious food, great service, and great atmosphere. Also better prices then other Italian options especially for a chain. First we had the garlic bread which was fluffy with a crunch, buttery and delicious. Would def ask for a side of their warm marinara to dip. Then the Italian Street Fries, eggplant fries with a spicy mustard tartar like sauce, absolutely delicious and unique. The Orecchiette was delicious with a thick, fresh sausage broth, lemon, and broccolini. Then the beautiful, rich, creamy tiramisu. Loved the creativity and expertise put into our meal, 1000/10

Yelp
This is our new go-to spot for date night. This weekend they had a special Valentine's day menu. The lobster risotto was amazing, as was the salmon. Service is always excellent. They just need some better desserts. The ice cream sandwich is on a cookie that is very hard. Try a soft- baked fresh cookie please.

Christine C.

Yelp
When I got to the restaurant, was seated but didn't even see the waitress for 20 minutes. There were only 5 other tables there. Once they finally got our drink order it took 15 minutes and 3 different waitress to get us our order. Another 20 minutes after we got our drinks for them to take our food order. All of the servers seemed very agitated that there were customers there. The manager was basically laying down on the hostess table butt towards the door. When the food did get to us it was good but the service was so bad it ruined our meal. At the end they rang in our tab wrong for over $40 what it was supposed to be. Will not be coming back to this location.

Mel A.

Yelp
3 visits but never again. The first 2 times very bad service. Tonight service was okay but worst chicken parm ever. I have never had it served so cold. How do you screw that up?

Kathleen Kilroy B.

Yelp
Fabulous food. Even better service!! Thanks to management and servers! Always a great experience!

Yelp
Great food, great service, very nice staff All brought to you by the same group as 110 Grille. One big problem however at this location however, I overheard some really unkind racist comments being yelled from the kitchen at the wait staff on my way to the bathroom. Somebody needs some diversity and inclusion training. Yes people can hear you.
google avatar

Robb M.

Yelp
Food is. 7 out of 10 service is a 2. This isn't a don't have enough staff thing. Place can be empty with 10 people working and you will be sitting around for 15 min waiting. Makes no sense. *edit* thanks for the response. It should also be said that your Bartenders saved the day a couple of times. They start to notice people looking around for their waitstaff and have jumped in to save the day. But the poor service is a reflection of several times and not isolated to one sitting. I would send in a mystery shopper and try to take some notes to course correct the ship. Its needed, you are going to lose repeat customers over it.

D. Lynne P.

Yelp
Our first time here and it was a great dinner. I had tasty ravioli, chicken, broc w/ cream sauce- they did not skimp on anything. My husband had the calamari, garlic bread and meatball dish. All the food tasted homemade. The portions were large and we brought home some leftovers for the next day. We were too full for dessert. Maybe next time we just come for wine and dessert? We will be back! The only thing I do differently; the tables were a bit small for 4 people. We felt a bit cramped.

Ashley A.

Yelp
Went mid day, not busy and still wasn't greeted seated. service was horrible. Over priced. Drinks took long, food took long, server didn't even bring us the food. Checked on once ..asked us for boxes had to wait for the boxes to be brought too.. Server went outside to smoke, came back didn't even wash her hands. Food wasn't great either .. I always wanted to try this place but was disappointed

Simon P.

Yelp
It was good! Comfortable inside on a hot summer's day. I asked for a specific seat... and no problem. Wait staff was professional. Food was reasonably quick but I was in conversation so I can't judge the speed too reliably, haha. Everything was tasty. In all, a decent place that I'd return to. But I've only been there once, so please take this with a grain of salt until I go back and try it again.

Mur P.

Yelp
Enjoyed Braised short ribs and Earth & Turf for dinner - excellent! We were early in the evening so Chef Branden even had a moment to come by to say 'hi'. Staff worked together well as a team. Dessert recommendation for gluten free carrot cake was on point, and cannolis were freshly filled to order. Yum. Worth the visit.

Jay L.

Yelp
My son and I arrived at 6:50 on a Tuesday night...we ordered a kid's meal and a chicken piccata. We finally received our meals at 7:50! We noticed that there was only one real dedicated waiter, and one bartender; it was clear that they were severely understaffed, and this for a night that is advertised as a special ("kids eat for $5"). At one point, our waiter, who was running around and in the weeds, asked me, "What did you order, again?" It was obvious at this point that he had forgot to tell the kitchen, and this was 30 min after he came by to take our order. I saw that two regulars at the bar who arrived a half hour after us were eating before we were! When the food did arrive, it was practically thrown down, and the chicken piccata was overly lemon-y and salty...not good at all. People waiting for takeout also looked peeved, and the chef was visibly shaken by the night. Hire more staff, or people just won't come back.

Katie W.

Yelp
We tried to go to a local restaurant that wasn't opened and decided to go to Evviva Trattoria on recommendation from a sign posted in the window. The restaurant was almost entirely empty and we were seated at a wobbly table that seemed to have a fly infestation close by. Our appetizers came out quickly but there was clearly some confusion in the kitchen because we got a repeat order. Our entrees took almost an entire hour to come out and every single person who came in after us received their food before us. Against my better judgment I still ate my meal which was mediocre at best and I think made me sick. Definitely won't go back and can't recommend this to anyone.

Larry P.

Yelp
Service was pitiful waitress could care less she complained because she was pregnant plus there was a large group which didn't get their food there are plenty of good restaurants out there we just wanted to try it never again

Marcia O.

Yelp
I've eaten at Evviva in Maynard a few times and I have these comments: (1) Three times I specifically ordered their Parmigiana (both chicken and veal) Sandwiches but "with no pesto" and each time it was served with pesto! Someone doesn't listen. (2) I also recently ordered Pasta E Fagioli Soup. I took took two spoon fills and it was terrible. I was told it's their recipe so I wouldn't recommend it. (3) On another occasion, my husband I had coffee (after another meal which wasn't to our liking) but it was much too strong. We finally decided we are not going back.

Susan C.

Yelp
The food and the service is excellent. You are not limited to the menu, they will accommodate whatever changes you need or want to make.

Yelp
Mediocre food with good service and sports bar ambience. We were seated right away, very pleasant waiter, plenty of TVs -- I just had hoped the food would be better.

Yelp
Meh.....tough times.... people aren't themselves...business struggling..,, but I've had better service and interaction at my local Dunk's than here....this place is nit cheap either. Food was decent, but not great or even very good.

Steve H.

Yelp
This is our favorite Evviva, the staff are all great, JR is the best our favorite restaurant in the area. The food is always great.

Bob P.

Yelp
Food is always great. Service is great, especially Sarah at the bar. Best bartender ever! AND.......Katie is the best waitress so whether you sit at the bar or in the restaurant you can't go wrong. Oh one more thing....I love the pizza there ‼

Ryan K.

Yelp
Ordered for the family via online, showed up when directed. * Restaurant was packed, seating is much closer than mandatory 6ft apart. * Entryway was crowded with patrons * Food was 20+ minutes delayed and missing an item * Kitchen staff and prep manager were not wearing masks Hard pass on this one until the business takes mandatory precautions seriously. Food was ok

Danie W.

Yelp
Food and service at Evviva in Maynard was excellent. I appreciate that they are a scratch kitchen that pays close attention to and can accommodate food allergies. The gluten free chicken Parm was delicious, crunchy with great flavor. My husband enjoyed the bolognese and we had the cheesecake for dessert. The cheesecake was top notch.

Wendy B.

Yelp
The food was good, the portions normal size, but a bit price. they really need to hire more help because there was one server taking care of the entire restaurant, including the outside patio and the bar. Our food sat under the lights for about 10 minutes before she brought it over. We wanted to walk up there a couple times and just grab it ourselves. It's not her fault, and I know it's tough right now to hire help, but if they're going to have one server for the entire restaurant they should not open because all of the customers don't get the service they deserve for the price they are paying. We are going to check around for another Italian restaurant in the area
