Not bad for quick eats like an upscale better quality taco bell. Crunch wraps and huge and made with premium ingredients. Taste great but need more sauce or seasoning, then i would of gave them 5 stars. Still solid food though. Food came out quick. Also wished the daily special items were always available, the everyday protein options are limited.

I never heard of a Crunch Wrap before, but can’t get it out of my head anymore. Inside the Durham Food Hall you find Ex Voto, which serves tasty crunch wraps with chicken and chorizo. The wrap has a nice consistency, is closed with a cheesy topping, and has the perfect fresh and spicy taste. Absolute sensational product!

This is not your Taco Bell crunch wrap! And I’m not dogging on Taco Bell at all, but this is a few levels up… The way the chipotle Crema mixes with the queso to create an absolute mess of delicious flavor is epic. I always go for chorizo and have never had any regrets… about the flavor. Place the order ahead, though, takes a while!

THIS PLACE IS A NATIONAL TREASURE. 🏴‍☠️ The menu looked great and drew me in, but it wasn’t really until seeing the [amazing] merch that I realized this was mostly a place for crunchwraps 🤤 Open up a spot in Maryland — holy shijos. So amazing. Will be back, and will have to fight myself to not order this again and try one of the other restaurants— because it was phenomenal. We had the chicken, and a beef; both were great, and hopefully we line up the next pass through for me to try that skramp 🦐 Gracias 🙏

I was in line yesterday evening around 7:30 PM, and the cashier completely overlooked me and proceeded to take the next customer’s order. This happened on Valentine’s Day, and the way it was handled made me feel very uncomfortable. The cashier then smiled at me but did not apologize or acknowledge the mistake. she just looked me in the eyes and kept it moving. I was simply trying to enjoy a solo date, and the situation made me feel ignored and dismissed. A simple apology or acknowledgment would have gone a long way.

Located in the Durham Food Hall. Highly recommend! 👍 The Beef Barbacoa Crunchwrap is so delicious! It’s very filling — I could not eat the whole thing but I wish I could have! It’s amazing.

No flavor in the burrito bowl. When you say 7 layers you think flavor. No bueno! I threw more than half away and went to Patty Boy’s and ordered tater tots. They were very good.

This place had me at crunch wrap supreme. Plus it's in a food hall, so what's not to like? Covid-19: you can order and pay online. The food hall was empty when I went in to pick mine up. It was set up to be one way. There are a couple of small tables to eat at outside if it's not too cold. We got the Chorizo-Wrap Supremo and a Chicken and Plantain Burrito. The burrito was good, but I was hoping for a little more plantain flavor. The star of the show was the Chorizo-Wrap Supremo. As a huge Crunch Wrap Supreme fan, this was perfect. It's obviously much better than a crunch wrap supreme, but it had all of the same elements. I loved the use of chorizo too. It was absolutely delicious. Come here, get a Chorizo-Wrap Supremo, and thank me later.

We were in Durham for the day and decided to visit the Durham Food Hall since there was a lot a variety and let's be honest, who doesn't love a food hall? The vibe alone is worth it! After perusing all the choices, we happily settled on Ex-Voto after having checked out their menu. And I'm so glad that we did! The service was top notch and I couldn't pass up a crunchwrap! They had me at cheesy crust and this pocket of joy was amazing!! The beef was cooked perfectly and it hit every possible craving you ever had. Their green salsa was out of this world too! And I sopped up my crunch wrap in it too! Can't wait to visit again!

My friend and I visited Durham food hall on a weekday evening. The ambiance was very dim and empty inside the hall. There weren't many customers when we arrived, but we were luckily able to order right away. I ordered the beef barbacoa Crunchwrap which was delicious! I loved the crusted cheese on the outside and the strong flavors of the wrap. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Great choice in food hall in Durham ! My husband got a bowl. He said it was super fresh, and delicious. A little bit of a wait- but it was a weekend at lunchtime! Love that they give you real silverware and glasses to drink from. Classy food hall!!

Crunchwrap supreme but BETTER. Ex-Voto made all my Crunchwrap dreams come true with this one. I'd heard great things but finally got the chance to try it myself when we visited the Durham Food Hall. They have various flavors and ingredients but I went with their classic which had spicy chorizo, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and their homemade sauce all wrap up in a tortilla, grilled on the flattop and topped with crispy crunchy melty cheese. This was their mini version which was perfect for a quick snack. Their large version is a behemoth and both are such a great value for the price! The owners are creative and kind so you feel great supporting such a neat small business!

Great Crunchwrap! Filled generously with all the toppings. It does get messy while eating, but overall a very satisfying meal. Hot sauce was nothing special.

Went to Ex Voto for a late lunch today and from the experience I had about a year ago to today a lot has changed and not in a good way. First, the service was very lackluster with the staff not being very warming and kind. I asked about their tacos, as they were around a year ago, but unfortunately I was told with a little jab that they are no longer on the menu. So, I decided after reviewing their menu to get the seven layer bowl. The bowl comes with a heaping amount of rice, beans, guacamole, Pico de gallo, and cheese--wow, so much food! Unfortunately the quality just was not there. It had an odd after taste that I did not enjoy and it was a little on the salty side. I couldn't finish my food and after spending $17 it made me very sad that I will now have to spend more money to get full. Three stars for the amount of food you receive for what you pay. You definitely get two or three meals out of your leftovers. But, the quality is not there. Also, they put an automatic charge for a living wage for their staff, which I found to be awesome!

This might be the best burrito I have ever had. I was in town for work and originally got a chicken bowl but didnt get to finish it and someone threw it away. But it left such a lasting impact I just had to go back. So I got a burrito because I was driving back to Charlotte and needed to eat and drive (don't judge me). The burrito was so amazing. I got back to Charlotte and was so sad that there was no where I felt I could get just as good of a burrito at in Charlotte. Please do yourself the favor and get anything from here, it is all good.

Got their most popular option which is the Short Rib Barbacoa Crunchwrap which came with braised beef short rib, pickled onions and jalapenos, some queso cheese and veggies. It was also served with their hoop cheese which is essentially a cheese crust on the outside of the tortilla. The short rib was nice and tender but it was pretty bland and could use a ton of salsa. I think this had a lot of potential but the juices from the pico de gallo made the tortilla really soggy despite having a cheese outer shell. I kinda just ate around the tortilla. Can't quite compare to a crunch wrap supreme from taco bell.... It's inside of a food hall hall which had plenty of seating. I like how they have communal water, napkins and utensils everywhere.

The Crunchwrap supreme of my dreams. When I signed up for the taste carolina food tour, my friend Hannah said "I hope we get the Crunchwrap" and boy am I glad we did. This was one of the tastiest bites of the year for me so far. I cannot wait to go back and try all of the options ! They're currently located in the Durham food hall but are looking at opening a new location soon so be on the lookout!

We were headed to Carolina Theater for a concert and needed a quick bite to eat so stopped at the Durham Food Hall as it is super close by. I was immediately drawn to Ex-Voto when I saw mention of a Crunchwrap! It was delicious-sealed with burnt cheese for exceptional crunch and the queso, jalapeños, chicken thighs, lettuce, & pico inside were a delight! Thumbs up for prompt check out and quick prep as well. The ambiance in the food hall isn't perfect as they were completely out of forks and the trash cans were mounded high with plates, cups, & food debris but that will not reflect on my Crunchwrap perfection! Oh and afterwards I discovered the owners are the Centro people, and we live downtown Raleigh and frequent their restaurant so no surprise there!

Unfortunately, the chicken bowl did not have any flavor, until I added the chipotle sour cream. Even then, I could've gone to Chipotle and spent less money. Overpriced. Plus side was the service. The person that took our order answered our questions. Will not return nor recommend.

Took about 20 minutes to get food on a pretty busy Saturday, to be expected. Burrito was so mediocre, the cheese in it was ice cold and it fell completely apart as I ate it. Kinda want to try their crunch wrap though.

Tried this place for lunch the other day at the Durham food hall. I opted for the Shrimp Crunchwrap special. It was better than the Taco Bell original the food was fresh, fast and customer service was very friendly. I would come back and try this place again

This is a solid Crunchwrap! It's like a better version of Taco Bell's Crunchwrap with cheese on top. I will say it gets soggy fast so eat it quickly. Will definitely have to come back to try the other items. The atmosphere is pretty cool since it's inside the food hall. Service was a little slow but most likely to the large amounts of volume for food. Would recommend ordering ahead of time online.

As a foodie, I have to say that Food Halls hold a special place in my heart. The concept to put a variety of places under one roof is pure genius, if you ask me. They started building the Durham Food Hall right as we were relocating to Charlotte. They opened their doors right in the middle of COVID, so we didn't get a chance to drive down and give them a try. More recently a friend of mine decided to finally go and it absolutely loved it! We decided to give the first try to Ex-Voto and it was definitely a great choice! They offer "fast-casual" Mexican cuisine, using local produce, herbs and spices as much as possible. Their food is freshly made in-house and you can definitely taste it. My friend got the seven layer burrito bowl with the beef short rib barbacoa, and I got the short rib barbacoa crunchwrap - both were sooo delicious!! We also got the Holy Trinity (queso, guac and salsa) and it was also very tasty! They're definitely going to be added to my list of places to re-visit in Durham! xoxo, @rondaexplores

Alright -- let's get the price tag out of the way of the crunchy wrap. It will cost you $16-17 no doubt but...wait...wait for it...TOTALLY WORTH IT! The crunchy wrap is definitely one of a kind. I can't explain it in words but your taste bud can do so. If you're feeling adventurous and want a new experience, I highly recommend it. The wrap can easily feed two people. They had a crispy pork chop crunchy wrap so I decided to get that instead of the chorizo. The pork was so tender and cook to perfect. A nice crust and bite to the wrap. The filling and sauce blended together so well, just enough to supper the wrap; not overly the top like a burrito. Overall, awesome food booth! Great customer!

We ordered food through Durham Delivers which was set up by our neighborhood. We were able to order online and pickup outside at our clubhouse. I absolutely love that this was an option for us. We are still not comfortable dining out due to Covid and this makes it so easy for us to get takeout and support local restaurants! The food was awesome! We had Rajas Poblanas Bowls. These were tasty and the perfect amount of spicy! We also ordered a half pint of the fire-roasted salsa and paired it with some our own tortilla chips at home. The salsa was also really good! The online ordering was a little confusing to me since there were a lot of places to choose from. I also noticed I couldn't select the exact date, so I was a little worried our order might not have been correct, but I followed all directions and everything was perfect! The person that delivered was masked up, organized, and friendly. I will definitely get food from Ex-Voto again!

Food Halls: good idea in theory - like a permanent food truck rodeo, but it's rare to find a good one. The ones in Charlotte and Raleigh are forgettable. DeKalb in NYC lower east side and Reading Terminal market in Philadelphia are unbelievable. 3 of us went to the Durham hall, nearly went to the Yaki one but finally decided to go for this place; each of us got crunchwraps: 2 of us got short rib barbacoa (heaps of shredded beef), one of us got the Chorizo. We got 3 teas (they charged $3 a piece for standard grocery store bottled tea) from them and a large chips with guacamole. Cost was $80 which included $11 for "living wage" charge (unadvertised forced tip essentially), and tip (we chose 2% as no added service was offered by the staff). The clerk neither offered nor mentioned any type of salsa option with the meal, so we went back and asked - the sauces for 3 of us were extra $1.50 plus tax/living wage/tip. No thanks. Without sauce the crunchwraps are ok - adequate vegetables and we just garnished our crunchwraps with the guacamole that we had ordered. The chips given to us were rather a small portion for the 3 of us. Overall the beef in the crunchwraps was fair (not great) quality. The portion size for $17+tip/living wage/taxes=$27/each was miniscule. A hungry average-sized grown man would be starving after just one crunchwrap. For $27 a person we should have felt either very full or receive something unusually special. This was not it. The forced living wage charge was a nasty surprise given the minimal service the staff presented - please make this a voluntary thing for those who are inclined to support this. The misleading tip percentage indicator was another scam. $10 tip off a $60 total of the meal is NOT 2% but 16.7% - their "calculator" is fraudulent. I feel sorry for those who chose the 5, 10,15% options. This place has a inexplicably over-rated reviews on yelp, restaurantji, tripadvisor, google, etc. I would suggest you drive further down the road and try a variety of much better places like Qshack, fullsteam, refectory, etc. As an afternote, I've noticed that review ratings by people on all rating sites are massively over-blown and over-rated - 4 and 5 stars are given out willy-nilly to the worst of restaurants like this one. Customers need to learn to discriminate between good and bad - ratings should appropriately reflect the experience in order to encourage better food and service. As someone who has lived in the triangle since 1990 I know that Durham NC has just a handful of very nice restaurants and probably 95% very poor to average ones. This is lower than average for a city this size but is so due partly to a transient student population along with the seasonality of the overall population (city business dies during the summer and many promising restaurant businesses fail from it). Unfortunately the surviving businesses may be overcharging for food in an attempt to make up for the predictably poor business in the summertimes. Perhaps all college towns are like this. Therefore I've decided the pricing for this place is forgivable. What they could improve on would be offer a choice of salsa included with the high pricing of their food, consider being much more generous with their chips, especially when they can plainly see that 3 grown adults are ordering. This would lose them next to nothing in profits while creating a sense of value for the high price. --------------- this is a response to the business owner's points regarding my poor review. I missed the part on the menu that stated that chips were "unlimited" - this is a very good tip for future goers and I wished the clerk would've reminded us of that. Regarding the "living wage" announcement - I missed that "1 foot sign" at the chaos of the register also, but there's no option to opt out of it still. Regarding the idea that I suggested they were deceiving guests - this was in reference to the faulty chip charge percentages. The "2% tip" is INCORRECT compared to the total charge of the meal - a petty point, but it is inarguably a fraud by definition and leaves a bad taste in the customers mouth and was probably triggered me to review your restaurant. The idea that "not forget the salsas" in your sign means NO SALSA WILL BE INCLUDED in the meal are two different ideas. Why not say more clearly "no salsas are included in the meals?" You don't do this because it is disgraceful to do this. Conclusion is that I don't want a refund and 2/5 rating is well deserved for your restaurant.

This review is maybe more of a 3.5 but I'm going to round up because of how tasty the food was. When I was at Durham Food Hall and saw Ex-Voto had crunchwrap's, I knew immediately what I was having for dinner. It was really good too! I liked the flavoring of this a lot. I'm glad I got this to eat in person though because I don't think it would have held up as a to-go option. I feel like the nature of the presentation was really lazy though.... just tossed in a paper bag on a plastic tray. It does feel like fast food because of that. I think this would work better as a late night post-drinks spot if they want to keep that vibe, but the thing is they close at 8. I kinda wish they'd put more effort into make it a "gourmet" crunchwrap if that makes sense. You can check out my other review for my overall thoughts on Durham Food Hall.

I came in for the first time, mostly because their Barbacoa Short Rib CrunchWrap seems to feature in every review of the Durham Food Hall. At $19, it's not a cheap lunch, but Wow!, is it tasty! Great variety of spices and flavors, from the crisped cheese on the outside of the tortilla to the sauces and combination of ingredients inside. Unless you have a huge appetite, cut it in half right away and wrap up the other half for another meal - it's a LOT of food, and you'll savor it for a good while. Service is walk-up or through the QR code on the bar. Pickup window is around the corner from the cashier, and while it's not a restaurant fashion photo presentation, it makes up for every bit of that in flavor! I need to return with reinforcements at some point so I can venture further down their menu!

Fresh west coast style Mexican but not amazing. I had to get the 7 layer bowl minus 2 layers (creme & hoop cheese) and the rest of the ingredients were good. I wanted to be wowed but I wasn't. Not many gluten-free or dairy-free options. They are very accommodating to allergy needs but the limited menu is limited. Look. It's very upscale taco bell. Which I appreciate but I still eat at actual Taco Bell for like a third the cost...sooooo. It also closed at 8:00 on a Saturday. Who does that?!

Incredibly delicious twist on Tex-Mex. Do not miss out on a Crunchwrap containing any meat/veg you prefer, and the portions are enormous (split with someone or plan on taking home half for the next day!) Friendly, helpful counter service in Durham Food Hall. Casual eating environment for families/kids to solos with computers.

Ex-Voto is the reliably delicious neighborhood joint of my dreams. The queso makes up 25% of my weekly calories and the burrito bowl is delicious and a great deal. The chicken and plantain burrito is amazing. I LOVE EX VOTO!

Ex-Voto is responsible for one of the most delicious things that I've had in 2021, and I thank them for that! The Chorizo Crunchwrap was everything that I wanted it to be and more. The menu describes it best, stating that "It's like Taco Bell's Crunchwrap Supreme on steroids." Ex-Voto is located in Durham Food Hall which offers a number of food and drink options all under one roof. These food halls are becoming more and more popular, and I'm a big fan. My wife and I were in Durham for the weekend and I happened to see a picture of the Chorizo Crunchwrap as I was perusing Yelp. I knew that we had to go experience this thing. The ordering process is supposed to be scan a QR code and then order on your phone. Seems like a good process, but that requires there to be LTE and/or WIFI. Even though Durham Food Hall has its own WIFI, it was not working at all. According to the owner of Ex-Voto, that happens all of the time. It could have been a frustrating experience that turned us away, but the owner quickly saved the day by taking orders himself and apologizing. It was a Master Class in how to handle the situation. Then, even though they were slammed, understaffed, and getting flooded with online orders, he apologized for our food taking ten minutes. Even on a normal day when everything is running smoothly, there is no need to apologize for ten mins to get food. I absolutely loved this place, and it will be on my short list of must go back to in Durham. The Crunchwrap was amazing, the service was top notch, and the owner was a class act. This next part is for Durham Food Hall management that they will probably never see: **Make sure that you have reliable WIFI for the businesses that pay your bills and paychecks. It is completely unfair to these businesses, which I'm sure pay a pretty penny for rent, to throw a wrench in their ability to serve their customers effectively** Stepping off of my soapbox.

I literally was standing there looking at the guy in the back wrap my crunch wrap with his bare hands. I'm so unset right now I wasted my money because I can't eat it. It is monkey pox and bacteria and germs everywhere why no have gloves on. I was referred to this place. And now I'm just turned off. Please have your cooks out on gloves. All I ate was my chips and Guacamole she used tongues so I feel better about that.. but very disappointed

We stopped by for lunch on a Thursday and tried the Spicy Shrimp crunch wrap special. It was absolutely delicious and filling. One of the best things I have had to eat in awhile. Highly recommend!!

ex voto rocks!!!! i ate a barbacoa crunchwrap from ex voto and immediately went home and guitar solo'd for three hours. cant wait to go back cause THIS PLACE ROCKS!

Try the Crunchwrap (carne asada, steak or pork if you can get it). They make their own hoop cheese and sauces. Place also has a large bar...not worth spending long at the bar though.

Yummy food! Ordered a lot, tamales, 7 layer dip and quesadilla I think that's what the one was called I can't remember! It was busy on Saturday! Very nice food hall! I would come back if I'm ever in Durham craving Mexican food again.

I first tried Ex Voto when they were doing pop-ups across Durham and quickly realized they were worth waiting in long lines because the food is so good. I have never had anything that I didn't thoroughly enjoy (although it ranges from delicious to absolutely delicious). Their space in the food hall does not disappoint. The burritos are fantastic (get them dirty sealed in cheese) and I actually prefer the veggie burritos. The Sonoran hot dog is fantastic and I haven't been able to get one in this area. The crunch wraps are also great especially if you don't want as much food as the burrito. I don't usually like nachos and the nacho kit was delectable. I still haven't gotten to try the wings because they sell out so quickly. The pickup at the food hall is very easy (order on the app and it will be on the table) but be sure to order early because they will sell out. I can't wait for them to continue expanding their menu because their tacos and tamales are amazing. I wish they could also have a margarita to go with the food (or maybe partner with the Auctioneer?)-- that's really the only way the Ex Voto experience could get better.

It is a life changing experience to have the Crunchwrap. I asked what it was, and the high end server behind the bar kindly tried to explain something about a pinwheel tortilla which I didn't follow. The only thing I heard was "sealed with cheese," so I just did the big trust fall and ordered it. I ate the entire thing with alacrity. Normally I'm a control freak about the contents of my burrito, but I recommend you let these people do what they do and just eat it.

Their take on the Crunchwrap was amazing! Would definitely recommend getting a Crunchwrap and some chips and queso to share - both were delicious and paired wonderfully with drinks from the food hall!

One of the best things I've ever eaten - Short rib barbacoa crunch wrap. Stuffed full of soft, super flavorful short rib in a neat wrap. Owner was super nice, heard us say how the queso looked good and without us asking gave us a sample with chips, excellent queso, and I'm generally not a huge fan of it.

We ordered chorizo Crunchwraps and they were awesome! Like a TB Crunchwrap but 10x better with crispy fried cheese to seal it. Chorizo was flavored well. Took 15 min to prepare and they came out hot and fresh. We conveniently enjoyed them at the tables that were outside the food hall.

I went to Durham Food Hall to meet up with some friends who were in town visiting. Ex-Voto definitely seemed the most appealing for my taste. I got the Chicken Crunchwrap- YUM! I went all out and "Made It Angry" with grilled jalapeño and cheese topper... great decision. Giant portion and definitely worth the cost.

YUM! Wow. Fresh. Amazing. All good things to say about this restaurant concept in the Durham Food Hall. Fresh- I enjoyed reading the backstory of Ex-Voto and their commitment to quality ingredients and local sourcing when possible (hello Ashe County Cheese!!). Everything tasted fresh, from the chips and guac to the cilantro rice. Creative- My husband is a cult follower of taco bell and when he saw a Crunchwrap on the menu, he had to have it. We tried both chicken and chorizo and both were excellent. On Time- We ordered at lunchtime on a Sunday to go, as the food hall gets quite busy. It was ready right at the time predicted. Bonus points for the huge sign that pointed me to the pickup area Give this place a try! We loved Centro, and it was exciting to see this collaboration with Angela in Durham. We won't wait so long before going again.

Probably our second favorite spot in the Durham Food Hall, only to Everything Bagels because we are huge bagel people. I am soooo happy they have a vegetarian option for the crunch wrap, and that is literally the only thing I've ordered in the 5+ times we've gotten food from here! We have only had great food from here, and i really appreciate that they keep your food under the heat-lamp because as they state on the online ordering, this is for sure best when fresh! The food is a little on the pricier side, but for sure worth it. The crunch wrap is huge, heavy and exploding with flavor and deliciousness! Sometimes we'll also order queso or guacamole to split and that also comes as a large container of yummy dip for the chips. We do usually physically and mentally plan to grab our crunch wraps from here because I do not want to try to sleep on a belly full of beans and cheese, and you really can't (maybe you can, i just tell myself I can't) save half of this meal for later! So happy that Ex-Voto is included in the Durham Food Hall because I definitely wouldn't have had it otherwise!

I'm learning there are so many good options at the Durham Food Hall. After perusing their menu, we decided to order three different tacos plus a Jarritos soda for brunch. I placed the order online, and our order was waiting on a table inside when I arrived. It looks like everything is a la carte, so don't expect salsa and sides with your order unless you add it. My chorizo burrito was very large and filling. It was a tiny bit dry, though, so maybe next time I'll add a side of salsa. Looking forward to exploring more of their offerings.

Ex-Voto was the place I was the most excited about in the Durham Food Hall. And it didn't disappoint! I did a takeout order over the weekend, and my veggie breakfast burrito was waiting for me on the table--meaning I was in and out in less than 20 seconds, which I super appreciated in this weird times! Once I got home and could consume the beautifully swaddled burrito, I was transported to my time in San Diego. I've missed good burritos ever since I moved back to the east coast, and this one best resembled my SoCal favs. I'm hoping to come here weekly and support these guys, because it's great! Highly recommend it and can't wait to enjoy the good hall once things are back to normal.

Quick service, friendly staff, phenomenal food. Had the Barbacoa Crunchwrap and chicken mole tamales. 10/10 worth the visit, we will return!

I tried the chicken crunchwrap and the veggie crunchwrap. Both were overpriced, bland, and had a poor distribution of ingredients. What annoyed me more was that I only ordered the veggie crunchwrap, since I don't eat meat. I was given the chicken crunchwrap in a wrapper marked as a vegetarian crunchwrap. Mistakes happen and that's ok, but customer service was also very lackluster. While this doesn't happen very often, most places would refund the item when making a mistake as big as giving a chicken crunchwrap in a bag marked veggie to a vegetarian, which they did not. Even a small gesture of throwing in some chips as an apology would have made me feel better about it. Instead, all I got as a stomach at later because I ate half the first crunchwrap without noticing because their chicken wasn't very flavorful and didn't stand out. So tip to both meat eaters and vegetarians, you can do better than this place. I definitely won't be coming back.

My first time at the food hall and I was a bit overwhelmed with the options. I heard someone say the Crunchwrap here was their specialty so I walked up and asked them to surprise me and give me their best one. I received the Barbacoa Crunchwrap and it was FABULOUS. Highly recommend!!

This place is amazing and I am glad that part of El Centro (restaurant in Raleigh, NC) finally came to Durham. I placed an order as soon as they opened. I ordered a burrito and the melted and crunchy cheese outside of the burrito added so much more than I thought it would. I still need to try their breakfast items but really happy to have them here in Durham. Great location, right in Durham Food Hall! Parking can be tricky, but there is a lot of parking on the road. I have not tried to park in garages but those are there too. Overall, great place, location, and friendly staff.

I ordered the chicken and plantain bowl and was extremely excited based on the delicious description and flavor combos advertised, but was disappointed as the bowl was 95% rice, beans, and salsa with a few pieces of chicken and even fewer plantains. Most of my bites were mushy between the tomatoes, rice and beans and those fillers detracted from any flavor the chicken and plantains might have added. Additionally they charge extra for their hot sauce; frustrating when a restaurant nickel and dimes you. Chipotle bowls are larger with more protein, less fillers, about half the price, and tastier. (The price would be worth it if you got a solid delicious portion, but it was lacking.) Also - they only offered chicken and chorizo on their menu as far as meats go when we went.

Update: Veggie burrito is killer, especially the hash brown. Even if you let it sit out for 45 minutes while running errands.

Stopped in during a food tour of Durham and we tried the chorizo crunch wrap. Apparently the crunch wrap is a favorite here. It did not disappoint! I normally do not like chorizo at all, but this crunchwrap was delicious and spicy. Still craving it even after my trip. Do yourself a favor and try this place!

Huge servings, packed with flavor and textures, generous with sides! Will be back, no doubt
