Just left the Excalibur and the rooms were great sizes, the beds were soft. Pillows were soft the air worked so amazingly it kept room super cold. Bathroom was clean and a good size. In a good spot to start the strip and walk down the rest. The castle was pretty and decorated nicely for the theme. I’ve cream inside was so good! I had a good time but I also didn’t. The hotel in certain spots smelled of sewage for one whole day our room smelled like it also. We didn’t get room service at all until Saturday and had been there since Wednesday. I had to keep going to them for trash bags and towels and giving them our dirty stuff. The day they did finally clean the room they had put damp blankets on the bed so that was irritating to try and sleep in. I loved the pool just didn’t like that I couldn’t take my drink in there I had to buy the drinks from the pool which are crazy prices. I get yes we are in Vegas but some of the prices in the casinos are ridiculous you can get great prices when you go off the strip. The parking at times could be a night mare. I would stay there again if need be but if I had the option I would try something else but if your looking for good room prices I would definitely say the Excalibur because it’s one of the cheap ones but it’s still nice there. I won’t say a few bad things would of keep me from giving them another chance

Stayed here several times now. Most recent stay was very nice. It is super easy to check in using the MGM mobile app. You can check in way in advance and get a room a lot earlier than 3 PM. Why would anyone want to wait in line to check in? The room was perfectly fine. Initially the AC wasn't working so we called and within 15 minutes a tech showed up with a whole new unit and got it swapped out in minutes. Everything else was pretty good. Room didn't smell and got cleaned daily. This is an older property and could use some updates but it's not bad like some reviews make it out to be.

I had a great time at Excalibur Casino in Vegas. The whole place has a fun, energetic vibe and the medieval theme gives it a unique character that stands out. Everything was clean, the staff were friendly, and it was easy to navigate without feeling overwhelmed. There were plenty of gaming options, from slots to tables, and the atmosphere was lively without being too hectic. It felt like a good balance of entertainment and comfort. The location is also super convenient, right on the Strip, so getting around was easy. It’s a solid spot whether you’re visiting Vegas for the first time or just looking for a fun place to hang out.

I think the overall experience is little bit poor in my opinion. There was a long queue to start with. Then we were given the wrong room. When we requested the correct one it took them while to arrange it. Room was OK. Despite we booked long ago they had not had the correct room type. Room was slightly decent size but certainly old style. The food downstairs and especially Mexican food was very nice. Location is not bad. Public transport is also not too far.

Overall a fun stay! Some things to note though. The room doesn’t have a fridge, microwave, or coffee maker like many other options and the room has very older style decor. Made it hard bringing back any leftovers or keeping drinks cool without a fridge or microwave, had to make many runs to the ice machine. Window view was in the corner in a low level room so it was looking out at the buildings systems(heating cooling,) no view really at all... Pools are not all open till later. Went down in the morning and only one was open and the water is a bit chilled, then again with the hot heat it totally makes sense. Also parking adds up quick if you’re staying for a longer stay. Overall clean and comfortable, shower appeared new! Little dining area in the corner of the room was a nice perk for storage. Great walking distance to explore the strip.

Stayed Here on a Budget Trip with Friends – Honest Review Just got back from a trip with a few friends — we were looking for a fun, affordable getaway, nothing fancy, just clean and comfortable. This place had potential, but definitely needs some attention. Let’s break it down: The Good: The on-site buffet was surprisingly decent — good variety and quick service, which made meals easy. Also liked that there were a few shops right inside the property, so we didn’t have to go far for essentials or quick snacks. The Bad: The rooms could really use a refresh. Ours had a strong musty smell, and the AC unit was covered in dust, like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The towels were stained, and instead of real glassware, we got flimsy plastic cups — not what you’d expect even at a budget spot. The Ugly: Cleanliness is the biggest issue. It genuinely felt like no one had deep-cleaned the place in a while. From the state of the AC to the linens, the lack of attention to basic hygiene was disappointing. Overall, if you’re traveling with friends and just need a place to crash without expecting much, it might work — but don’t come here looking for comfort or quality. Hopefully, the management steps up their maintenance game because the location and setup have potential.

I stayed here specifically to be near the concert venue, and the location did not disappoint. Getting to the resort was smooth and hassle-free, which made the trip feel instantly more relaxed. The resort itself was massive—actually a network of connected properties—so navigating the layout took a little patience, but it was impressive in scale. Being within walking distance of the event was a major win and definitely made the experience more enjoyable. The complimentary baggage storage was extremely helpful as we waited for access to our room. The digital check-in was effortless, setting a positive tone for the stay. Unfortunately, that momentum stalled when I returned to the storage area to collect my bags. The interaction I had there was unexpectedly unpleasant—Unfortunately, I didn’t have cash on hand for a tip, and when I shared this, the attendant, Jordan, he let out a heavy sigh and rolled his eyes. I asked my travel companion if he had any cash, which he did not. What followed was unsettling—the worker waved us off abruptly, continued making comments, and cast unpleasant looks our way. I understand that tipping can be part of travel customs, and I appreciate good service when it’s given. But respect shouldn’t depend on gratuities. Courtesy costs nothing, and being waved off like an inconvenience was disheartening. I hope this feedback leads to more consistent professionalism—especially when travelers are navigating different customs and systems. Shortly after entering the room, I noticed the bedding was dirty, which wasn’t a great first impression. Thankfully, I was able to request a change, and housekeeping responded promptly. Gerlie came by to change the sheets, and her kindness truly stood out. She greeted us with a gentle smile, handled everything with care, and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the process. It wasn’t just about fresh linens—it was about the grace and respect she brought into the space. Small gestures like this remind me how meaningful thoughtful service can be. Thank you for turning a simple task into a moment of genuine care! While the room itself had some serious retro charm—and not the chic kind—the stay was ultimately a good one. There were definitely moments that tested my tolerance, like the loud AC, mysterious smells in random corners, and a room that seemed to sigh with age. But there were also wins: the digital check-in was flawless, and I genuinely appreciated the elevator security setup with key card access—it made me feel safe and cared for. Food required a bit of a trek, so bring comfy shoes if you plan on exploring. Still, those walks did make discovering local bites feel like a mini adventure. Overall, it may not have been perfect, but it had just enough bright spots to leave a positive impression.

Google
Pros: The room was clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Overall, the room felt nice to walk into to go to sleep or just relax away from all of the people for a while. The pool was clean and the water was cold and refreshing in the July Vegas heat. There were waitresses walking around providing small free drinks (with a tip) while you gamble.||||Cons: No coffee maker in the room. No refrigerator for leftovers. No microwave. Every time we walked down into the lobby we were bombarded by numerous staff members trying to get us to sign up for a timeshare presentation. Everything was Vegas prices of course and since we had no way of saving food, we spent so much more money.||||Overall, the lack of a simple, small coffee maker and refrigerator in the room were the biggest bummers. It would have been nice to be able to drink a cup of coffee from the room without having to leave first and spend $6 per cup of coffee. We also wasted food eating out because we could not bring it back to the room. But the room was clean and comfortable otherwise. We may opt for a hotel rather than a casino for our next visit.

Yelp
Scott the bartender is the friendliest, most professional guy behind the bar. Every drink he serves is great.

Yelp
We went with the girls to enjoy our Vegas trip and we met the BEST BARTENDER IN TOWN! Scott was so charming and made the best cocktails personalized for each of us.

Yelp
This huge hotel and casino can handle a large number of guests at ease. I liked their Mobile check in and check out features. The staff is so friendly, and they play with the theme well. My room didn't have a fridge or a microwave, but they have a safe for each room.

Yelp
After staying a higher quality hotel, I must say that this thing was a huge difference. We stayed at this hotel for four days. We came in about 11 o'clock to check in and we were expecting to have to wait for check-in however, the rooms were ready so we were able to go straight to our room. Now to start the entire time, we were there every time we went in or out of the hotel you had employees hunting you down to get coupons for shows and dinner as long as you go for a tour of the property pretty much trying to sell you a time share. This was completely annoying the entire time. The casino did treat me very well the first night which gave me enough budget for the rest of the days . Lol lost it all but well I had fun . Now from the halls all the way to the elevator looks like a 2 star hotel. The room itself was not terrible. Just not cute. Bedsheets were clean and their room look clean overall but not excellent. Overall, if you're looking for a low budget but clean space to sleep that is right on the strip then I would recommend to stay here, but do not expect anything fancy or upscale .

Yelp
Limited hours for restaurants and coffee.. Not amenities in the room, water, coffee pots, microwave or refrigerator No room service Rude employees who hate their jobs Confusing floor plan with limited signage or direction I Key cards are hit and mess especially in the elevator Our event was scheduled at the Excalibur otherwise we wou have left By email we were offered an upgrade for a suite I immediately accepted but when we got yo the hotel they said it wasn't available to us Different vendors in every corner trying to get you yo buy time shares and other services .. they are dressed like employees to pull you in.. A really awful experience wouldn't recommend!

Yelp
Very decent rooms for one of the older original casino hotels on the strip. There's no fridge in the room though, but there is a safe, and parking does cost. Mobile check in was a breeze. There are 3 mobile check-in screens to the side of the check-in desk. You'll need the app for that, and you'll be programming your own key, but it's super easy though. And same with checking out. There are lots of great & fun food and shows right here like Thunder From Down Under, and Dave's Last Resort. And you can get super discounted tickets if you go to the timeshare meeting. You'll see the sales people at the counter to the right as you walk through the hall towards the tower elevators. It's a 90 minute presentation, and best to say no at first so that they sweeten the deal for you...ha ha!

Yelp
Pros: Price Location/ easy access to other resorts Cons: Walls are paper thin Rooms desperately need an upgrade, they are still in the 90's... i had no usb ports and the tv wasn't even hi def Place is dirty Overall i wouldn't ever stay here again. Not worth the disgustingness no matter how low the price is

Yelp
The MGM gave me two free nights at the Excalibur, New York New York or MGM Grand along with two other free nights at Park MGM. I only had to pay resort fees which was $45 a night. I've stayed at NYNY and MGM Grand before, so I wanted to try out Excaliber. Of course, Park MGM is the best out of the four, so I was happy to score that. Thanks for the four free nights, MGM! The rooms here aren't bad. It's a decent size and clean. They have two towers, Royal Tower and Resort Tower. They put us in the Resort Tower, which is close to the pool. Being from Hawaii, I did not use that amenity. I didn't like that the parking structure is far from the rooms. There's also no walkway connecting the two, so you're just walking in the scorching sun.

Yelp
Location is good, and all the restaurants, casino area, etc are fine nothing spectacular or anything. The line to check in and out is very long both times I waited in it, but there's mobile check in and out I rec doing that. My stay was fine up until the morning of checkout. I was using the bathroom and water started pouring down my head neck and back from the vent above me. My initial reaction was it was sewage from the room above. I was assured that they were doing construction in the room above and it was clean water used to rinse the floor and that it went down around the flange. Even still very disgusting dirty water. They did take off their resort charges from my stay but I just think they should have offered more for that situation. I don't think I will stay here again based off that experience. Like I said tho prior to that it was an ok stay.

Yelp
Often overlooked and overshadowed this hotel and casino deserves your consideration when it comes to visiting and staying in Vegas on the strip. I visited a friend who was staying here. Not only was the casino surprisingly clean it was spacious and not how I remembered it. Slots and tables have been added or rearranged. Ventilation has improved and it appears to have new carpeting. The room was a decent size for a standard room. It was clean and modern. The only thing that looked old was the tile in the restroom. For a place to shower and to rest for a few hours, it is worth the consideration.

Yelp
Excalibur is a great hotel that is family-friendly. For me, it was perfect for a conference. I found the hotel ideal for my needs--a clean place to sleep and plenty of amenities to keep me busy. The gym is conveniently located next to the pool and is well-equipped with machines and weights. There are various restaurants inside, including fast-food options. They even have a 24-hour Johnny Rockets and, most importantly, a casino with all the machines you could want. Overall, the hotel is perfect and affordable. Plus, it's part of Marriott, so there are some perks if you're a Bonvoy member. I enjoyed my stay at Excalibur and would definitely recommend it to others.

Yelp
We frequently visit Las Vegas. Just completed a quick getaway Vegas weekend and stayed at Excalibur. The pricing was extremely high for this particular weekend as we found out it was EDC festival weekend. So, while we could've stayed anywhere else on the strip, we just weren't willing to pay the astronomical price hikes. So Excalibur it was for the first time through our M Life/MGM rewards points. Self parking was free (Pearl Member) and was a short walk to the lobby. The casino floor is very well laid out and the slot machines pay out pretty well. The bartenders and casino waiters/waitresses were prompt and polite. The food court, ease of access to Luxor, Mandalay Bay via free tram was nice. Extremely easy to go the opposite direction to NYNY, Park MGM, Aria etc. was also nice. The ONE gripe I had is just the room itself. Stayed on the 26th floor which was nice. But the room is just old, dirty, dingy. Even though we were on a non smoking floor, our room wreaked of it. The carpet just didn't feel nice when barefoot. The fridge looked to have been removed. It's just very overdue for an overhaul and major renovation. If they ever renovate their guest rooms, I would return. I'll be back here to gamble and drink, but will not be returning to stay in their rooms.

Yelp
We went here to visit Ducks Last Resort restaurant and it was a blast. The food wasn't anything great, but you're more there for the experience anyway! The servers were hilarious and "rude" but also helpful and fun. Really fun experience!

Yelp
I recently completed a mostly pleasant five night stay last week. It was a bit of a challenge and delay checking in, but the rest of the trip was without issues. I had a good king unit on the 28th floor of the Resort Tower with a Strip view. Besides the initial rude front desk clerk, all other staff members were pleasant.
google avatar

Yelp
Great value for the price, and I was pleasantly surprised by my stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, but the shower did back up from day one. A minor downside was the lack of a mini fridge, though we worked around it by stopping at Walmart. The hotel was clean, and you can request luggage carts for arrival or departure--they'll bring them right to your room. It's a free service, but be sure to tip. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I haven't stayed at this hotel for many years. This place left much to be desired. It has a run down feel to it. The room was okay. This hotel definitely needs an upgrade. The cool part was that our room will look right into the new baseball field once it goes up so Excalibur needs to level up soon! We stayed here because it was close to the T-Mobile Arena where I was going to watch Justin Timberlake's The Forget Tomorrow World Tour on 5/10/24. We stayed for 2 nights and checked out the third day. The food court area was decent, the connections to other hotels was nice. It was conveniently located, but needs to do better.

Yelp
I went with my mom when she went to get her Vegas Work Card. In Las Vegas, you'll need a work card if you're employed in certain occupations, such as bartending, child care, or adult entertainment. She worked part-time at the Excalibur Casino, giving out free plays on a slot machine rock when the customers entered. Many Vegas residents get those work cards to make extra money and have fun in their spare time. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) issues work cards by the provisions prescribed by the Nevada Revised Statute, Clark County Ordinances, and the Las Vegas Municipal Code.

Yelp
We explored while waiting for our show (Tournament of Kings), and were excited to find they had an Arcade. Our kids (13, 10) were happy to finally be able to walk around and play some games. This resort seems to be a bit more family oriented than some of the others.
google avatar

TRACY R.

Yelp
I brought the kid to Vegas. Big mistake. Vegas is NOT kid friendly. My parents brought me here when I was younger (many, many moons ago) and I thought it would be nostalgic to bring my kid. We came for the Dungeon Arcade and the Tournament of Kings. We did NOT stay at the hotel. The Dungeon Arcade was incredibly small and super expensive. $40 barely lasted an hour. $40 = 420 tickets to use. However, the games to play were anywhere form 40-50 tickets. It was ridiculously expensive. The kid had fun because what does a 7 year old know? The hotel itself was super sad and felt dirty. The staff was friendly and offered us discounted tickets to Tournament of Kings. However, tickets were for the next day so we couldn't use them. The only reason why we stopped by Excalibur was for the Tournament of Kings. There aren't many places you can bring a 7 year old, so I thought this would be a good place. Tickets were $86 per person. We sat on level A, Seat 1 and 2, in Austria. We were basically the front row seats. I think this was worth it. Dinner and a show for less than a $100 is a good deal in my book. Especially knowing that a show is typically $100 on its own. Dinner: was a whole Cornish hen, corn, potatoes, and bread. No utensils - you eat with your hands. Coke and water comes with the meal. Adult bevvies were extra. Dinner was noisy and fun. Super interactive. The show was great. There were real horses! Load of action! Perfect show for a kid.

Yelp
I have stayed here every year for the last four years with my family. This time I can say that I am truly disappointed. When we arrived on Sunday at 3pm for check in their systems were down and it took us almost 2 hrs to get checked in. They definitely were hospitable about it by having people walk around f passing out water and snacks. I finally got up to my room and discovered that there is still no refrigerator in the room even though the last two years they said there will be with their upgrades. So we decided to rent one. I asked if we needed to be present to receive it and was told no they will set it up. We unfortunately found that the pool closed at 7 so we weren't going to make it after the 2 hr check in and then waiting for the bags to be delivered to our room. We opted to go to the Fun Dungeon instead which was fine. When we returned to the room the fridge was delivered but left on a roller cart and not plugged in. Upon returning the person said there was no where safe to put it if we had kids because it could tip over on them. The next day we hit the pool early only to discover that the main pool was under construction there was no mention of this on check in or at any point in the reservation making process. The available pools were packed but we figured it is what it is. Tuesday by far was the worst the pool opening was delayed by 30min and when we entered all the pools were closed except two jacuzzis and the small back pool. I went to guest services and they were supposedly not aware of the pool closures but thought that was sufficient enough pool space for all of their guests. It had clearly been under construction for some time and not informing your guests that the amenities are unavailable especially in the dead of summer is pretty ridiculous.

Yelp
We had a grandson visiting and we decided to return to the Tournament of Kings attraction. While waiting, we had a blast playing in the arcade. Lots of games for everyone to enjoy. The show was very entertaining and the food was rather good. My Grandson absolutely loved it.

Yelp
I've stayed at 20+ Strip / Strip adjacent hotels in Las Vegas doing staycations. If anyone can speak on this topic, it's me. You're not getting a room at the Wynn for less than $30 base + resort fee. You're at the Excalibur, so dial back your expectations. I just spent 5 days in December doing a staycation while family was in town for less than $200 - during Christmas! The rooms have been remodeled and I've stayed at Excalibur pre and post remodel. It's a great, cheap place to stay when I have an early morning flight to catch and don't want to have a long drive or expensive Uber to the airport. It's a great place to stay if I know I'm going to be too tired to drive home after a VGK game or show. The rooms are fine. The carpets, furnishings and TV have been updated. The bathroom shower has the old créme colored tile, but other than that, it's not hideously out of date. As a local (3 hours free) and a gold card member, I get free parking. If you're a tourist, the parking fee can be a big chunk of money. I will complain that the VIP Lounge and check-in has no gluten-free options for your complimentary snack. That's not cool. I did get complimentary club soda or water at check-in. Did you know that ZERO Las Vegas Strip casino resorts offer microwaves in their hotel rooms? Most now don't include a mini refrigerator either to store your own food. Hotels that did offer mini refrigerators have removed them from the room and some (ex: Luxor) allow you to rent one back for a daily fee! Not only are there no real celiac-safe restaurants on the Strip, you can't even bring your own food to store and heat up in your room without a microwave or mini refrigerator. That's a big problem at Excalibur and why it's not 4 stars. As a local, I brought a cooler and had to fill it up with ice from the ice machine to cool my snacks. Okay, microwaves are potential fire hazards, but please bring back mini fridges. I've seen all the shows at Excalibur except Thunder From Down Under. This property has a lot of affordable entertainment options and I don't agree with the ridiculous post-remodel reviews from people painting it as a hovel. It's not. Not everyone has the budget for a luxury property but I believe there's still a place for people looking to visit Vegas on a budget. Excalibur is an easy walk to the main Strip properties, including Park MGM which has a free tram to City Center and Bellagio, while Excalibur itself has a free tram to connect you to Luxor and Mandalay Bay. If you walk across the bridge between Excalibur to Tropicana to MGM, you can ride the monorail all the way to Sahara and even the Westgate. The location is fantastic for this price. If you're on a budget and need a place to stay, I'd recommend Excalibur. Last hotel stay: December 2023

Yelp
We were a bit hesitant about staying at the Excalibur Hotel after reading mixed reviews, but I'm so glad we decided to give it a chance! Our stay was a fantastic experience, and here's why: First off, the early check-in via the app was a game changer. We arrived in Vegas a full 7 hours before our room was technically ready, but the app made the process seamless. We were pleasantly surprised to find our room clean, spacious, and more comfortable than expected. The beds were super comfy, and being on the first floor meant we avoided elevator traffic--definitely a win! Yes, the room had a bit of an outdated vibe, but honestly, we were just looking for a place to rest and store our things, and it served that purpose perfectly. The overall feel of the hotel was welcoming, and it quickly became our favorite spot to gamble. Dining options were plentiful with several restaurants and a diverse food court upstairs. The cool decor throughout the hotel made for some great photo ops, and the arcade was a huge hit with the kids, giving them a fun place to hang out. One of the highlights was the free tram service to Luxor and Mandalay Bay. It was a lifesaver for avoiding the scorching Vegas heat and made exploring the Strip much more enjoyable. Overall, our stay at the Excalibur was delightful and exceeded our expectations. It's a solid choice for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and fun place to stay in Las Vegas. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Just got here and tried to go to my room but my key won't work for the elevator to get to my room. So I head on back to the front desk to get a new key. The lines are super long. I see a line for in house guests... Wait in that line for 20 minutes and didn't move at all! I went over to the priority check in lady since she had NO ONE waiting in line and she told me"no". I have to go wait in that long line again. My issue isn't so much that my key didn't work, as it is the way the lady talked to me. She was super rude! I am Very disappointed so far. I am here for an entire week.... Maybe things will get better.

Yelp
I stayed here as a kid so many decades ago, and it still looks the same. It was getting a bit run down back then, but it is still super fun to visit. It is not fancy, but they do have the best arcade and carnival game area in the basement, so fun. They have a lot of kitsch, which I love, and some dumpy but fun restaurant concepts. It is like old Vegas here and I like the retro vibe. I am not sure of the pricing to stay here, but we did visit quite a bit. It was also very conveniently attached to my hotel by the tram which I loved. It was not intentional that I booked a place with a tram, but it makes life so much easier getting around. If you want classic Vegas or have kids this is a must visit place. If you like castle vibes or renaissance festivals, this place is also for you.

Yelp
Room location: West Tower pool side. The smell of sewer is all around the pool and inside the room. You cannot escape it! The rooms are lowest level of accommodations any motel experience vs a hotel in Vegas. Just soap and shampoo. No mini fridge, waters, or a drink station. Service is ok, but slow for it is a holiday weekend. Yes, lowest price to book, and you get what you pay for

Yelp
2.5 if possible. The Excalibur is a relic, it is OLD, yet an adequate place to put your head for a night. When it comes to Vegas, this is low rent, if you know what I mean. It will suffice, but don't expect anything special. I stayed here for a Raiders game, and it was exactly what I expected. When it comes to the variety of properties that MGM has in Vegas, this is in the lower quartile, but it is also appropriately priced. As they say, you get what you pay for.

Yelp
My 2nd stay here and I enjoyed it very much. Although the hotel rooms are older they were clean and bed bug free. Front desk was nice and accommodating. Will definitely come back. Also, a big plus is the price...and the view from our room was nice.

Yelp
We stayed at the Excalibur this past weekend and have stayed a few other times since my last review. There were good things and not so good things with this last visit. The young lady who helped us check in was very nice and helpful as I had questions about a few things. I believe her name was Melissa. I had a weird experience at the Starbucks in the casino. Instead of putting my drinks in the pick up area, they put them out of my view. If they called my name I didn't hear. I have some hearing loss so can't say if they did or not. The person who gave me our food was very nice. I dealt with a snippy casino cashier but then later had a very nice casino cashier. Our Black Jack dealers were very nice and fun. Gaming machines were ok. I suggest avoiding the Wheel of Fortune machines. They were a bit tight. So anyway, staff was hit or miss as far as attitudes. Our room was fine, very clean with plenty of closet and dresser space. The bed was not very comfortable though. There seems to be a space for a small fridge but they don't provide one. I knew that when I booked but still think it would be nice to have one. My favorite part of the room was a cozy chair. The food court is nice, there's something for everyone and plenty of seating. My youngest son and I went to the pool area. There are 3 pools, one is adult only and reservations are required. One of the other pools was closed. The one that was open was crowded but my son enjoyed it. It was a bit too hot for me with no shade so we didn't stay long. Next time I'll bring a swimsuit and get in the pool.

Yelp
Brought our daughter here. She wanted to check out the arcade. The arcade was pretty big as it took up a lot of space. Be advised the arcade is located downstairs. They also had some games as if it was a carnival which was pretty interesting and fun. You do have to purchase a game card to play. If you do not have a play card from there you would need to pay a $1 fee. We put $30 and got 330 credits to play with. The games ranged from 15 credits to about 70 credits. It was fairly packed but still had a lot of games available for the kids to play which is a huge plus.

Yelp
I really love the Excalibur hotel, it's fantastic! I had so much fun throughout my stay here and will definitely be coming back. Everyone being so lovely and friendly has made my experience here one to remember, especially when checking in. I knew my stay here would be a good one from check in. Speaking with Karen behind the desk was my first interaction at the Excalibur hotel and I immediately felt very welcomed. I was given clear and detailed answers and instructions about parking, my room and the hotel which made life so easy. I want to send a big thank you to Karen for being so helpful and sweet!

Yelp
Do not approve getting booked on the 2nd floor (or 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc) of the Excalibur Hotel, rooms 2250's to 2260's, even numbered rooms unless you dont mind this view. You know what would help, Excalibur? A tall fence, tall bushes, or at least a mural (of anything- perhaps Medieval times theme) on the wall to distract from the awful vent/ac system. Geez, have some kind of pride! We had to request housekeeping today because they didn't clean our room yesterday. If I didnt call, they probably would have skipped us. Mystery mold on shower ceiling.

Yelp
This hotel charged me $80ish for the service fee on top of the room booking fees, but there's no extra service provided. There's no mini fridge, no water kettle & no bottled water provided in the room, no toothbrush & toothpaste. Just a few small bottled water was given to us when we checked in. The nightstand and the phone were dirty I had to clean them myself. (Always brought sanitary wipes with me anyway). One thing I complimented them was about: the security guys were all so nice, friendly, respectful, and helpful. I accidentally dropped my VISA debit card, found by one of the crews, and my card was returned back to me via the staff very shortly after!! That was really nice & highly appreciated by me!!

Yelp
Everything about this place screams 'update me'. I see other reviews that indicate remodeling so perhaps there are areas that have been update but our room wasn't one of them. I'm 5'8 and I felt like my head was touching the ceiling most of the time. The shower, light switches, shades, heating/cooling, decor, outlets, etc it felt like I was in an 80's room. The TV was the worst I've had in a hotel. It was unwatchable. We ended up heading to the sports room to catch the Timberwolves game. On the positive side, the online checkin was easy. Self-parking was easy. Elevators were all working and the wait to get to your room was never very long. I have to admit, I slept pretty well despite it not being very dark in the room. I think the constant hum from the ancient heating/cooling device helped. The staff was also very nice. Lots of Happy New Year wishes as we met various staff through out short stay.

Yelp
I really can't speak for the rest of Excalibur but Scott the Bartender at the Buffet is awesome! His drinks were delicious and he was so friendly and fun. That's really the only place you get your money worth.

Yelp
We stayed at the Luxor and came over here a few times. The outside looks cool but the inside is similar to most of the other hotel and casinos. The building connects with Luxor so it's nice to be able to walk across without having to deal with the heat. The monorail runs from this hotel to Mandalay Bay but skips Luxor. It's also free to ride. This hotel has the Dick's restaurant which I totally don't recommend. Feel free to read that review. This hotel also have the male dancer/models and available for photo taking during the day. Gotta pay them of course. They are quite aggressive if you snap a shot from your personal phone. Speaking on behalf of a friend of course.

Yelp
Stick a sword in it! Meh Casino and even more Meh hotel (although the rooms are big). I'm pretty sure this opened during the whole "Let's make Vegas family friendly" era. The restaurants and amenities here are also pretty meh too. Well, except the Tournament of Kings which is pretty great! The casino is pretty big though! It's easy to get lost and lose track of which part of the casino you're in. Same if you're staying in one of the towers, if you go to the wrong one, then it's a bit of a walk to the other one. Also, after checking in, you have to walk through the casino to your room. Again, dumb design during the "if people have to walk through the casino to their room, they'll be enticed to gamble". Guess what Einstein, they're in Vegas!!! The best thing I can say about this hotel is it has a great location. It's close to a lot of other hotels and the airport, so if you're taking an Uber, it may be a bit cheaper. You can hit up some of the nicer hotels like Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand which are super close. If you want an even worse place to go, the Tropicana is right across the street. When are they ripping that POS down? You can stay cheap and spend your money on other stuff. Just keep in mind that pretty girl saying hi to you on the walkway over LV Blvd only wants one thing in your pants, and it's not what you want it to be.

Yelp
I typically love staying here but was a bit disappointed with a few things on our stay this weekend. The pool was very dirty and murky and there was obviously a lot of chlorine because it really burned our eyes. Think extra measures need to be taken to have a cleaner pool. Also 60$ to get an umbrella to stay in 110 degree heat and 12$ for a bag of Cheetos is an icky money grab. I do LOVE how comfortable the beds are. They use the same pillow brand as the Aria. The beds were much softer and more comfortable than the MGM grande. The rooms were very clean. Dated but clean. One suggestion to cheaply update the rooms is to paint them white and just do one color accent wall and remove the popcorn ceilings. The arcade here is so epic and the game selection just stellar!

Yelp
Super basic hotel but the rooms are clean, beds comfy and pillows plush. The location is great and there are plenty of food options onsite. Check in was quick and friendly. Tons of slots, table games, family friendly activities. Room was $100 with resort fee mid week.

Yelp
I would not recommend this hotel! It's the first and last time I stay here. We got to our hotel at 5 pm (2 hours after our check in time). No one had cleaned it up. When I called the front desk staff she was so rude. I tried my best to keep my cool and be as polite as possible because I understand that people make mistakes but they moved us to another room without an apology, discount, a free drink...nothing for the inconvenience! Oh and when I called again to make sure they came on time because I had a show at 7 pm the front desk stated "they're going" and hung up. There was no need for a snarky tone.. I wish it got better after that but then around 10:30 pm the alarm went off. It was a terrible experience.

Yelp
Cleanliness of rooms is horrible. Hair in the shower from previous, dirty floor & sink. Rooms are out dated with rusting fixtures & peeling wallpaper. Headboards on beds were never cleaned or wiped down. Upon reading reviews this isn't a recent problem, this goes back years. Surprised this hotel survived. I give it zero stars

Yelp
Located at the beginning of the strip, near the Luxor. We had never stayed at Excalibur but we booked here to be near our friends who were already staying here. Self-park is $18/day if you include it in your reservation at check in, otherwise it's $23/day. Friendly, welcoming, and efficient staff at check-in. We got in the wrong elevator our 1st night because we didn't read the floors pertaining lol soooo make sure you get on the right one. Our room was clean and organized but at $134/night the room is as basic as they come with no lil' fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker...luckily it did have a closet with iron, board & safe. The bed was really comfortable. The AC was really good in our room as it was approximately 105° outside. In the bathroom, they provide travel size toiletries such as shampoo, lotion, hand soap & cleanser, and plenty of towels. We enjoyed their pool with a DJ playing awesome music and a bar. Too bad they closed it early (7 pm) because we were not ready to leave lol. The casino area is nice and good size with a Starbucks that seemed to be open late. There's plenty of eateries in the food court up the escalators near the buffet area. Overall, we had a good experience at Excalibur.

Yelp
Got 2 free nights at the Excalibur from playing Tetris on my phone! I paid service fees which was $83 Then I "upgraded" my room to a tower room for $3 extra and my window was facing a wall that lead down to machines and stuff. There was no fridge , there was no microwave. The bed and pillows were super comfy though. That was the best part of the room. No bath only a shower. Half the pool was closed so it was extra packed and it as very very cold. The people who work there were very nice and helpful. Overall it was a a cool experience to stay on the strip but probably wouldn't pick there again. Grateful for the 2 free nights thru Tetris and gameplay though! And glad the bed was comfy. I just looked up what a night runs for the Excalibur on the mgm rewards app and it's $262 a night!!! Holy crap. Yeah. If I had spend THAT much money on the room we had gotten, this would have been a 2 star review, but because I got 2 free nights and only paid the room fee of $86, it was a 3 star. Wow. That's crazy a basic room cost that much!

Yelp
I strolled through the Excalibur recently. I like it's medieval theme. I got to see some people perform karaoke on a stage. I like that there's an arcade.

Yelp
Parking fees 18-23 bucks a day for a completely piece of shit hotel. Resort fee of 47 bucks. The carpet looks original from the 1980s. The rooms are like the kind of shit they tear down and rebuild. Even the old imperial palace the last days before they completely remodeled were better than this shit. There was a toothbrush and toothpaste left in my shower. I am not joking. Buffet tasted worse than the last couple of years of Hometown buffet before they closed. Worse than Golden Corral. And it is 32-40 bucks per person for BRUNCH, not dinner people, fucking BRUNCH on a weekday. 32 bucks, come on. Do yourself a favor and just stay at New york New york or MGM Grand, if you really need to stay on this side of the strip or want a MGM property.

Yelp
Everything is done through your phone, people there do not like being bothered with questions --people do not like questions nor at the airport, not the taxi driver, not even people selling the ticket to the shows. They do want to be tipped for doing nothing at all, so be prepared for the cold stares and unspoken gestures. Las Vegas is good for the shows and ridiculously expensive shopping experience --if you are not wearing the latest shoes you'll get ugly stares. Be brave--ignore everyone and focus on your family and friends.

Yelp
When I did a staycation there was stains on the toilets and stuff on the floor. The last time I stayed it was better but it smelled like smoke . This time it was not a good experience.
