"As stated above, a good kolsch is hard to find. Lucky for everyone in Greater Boston, Exhibit ‘A’ exists. Its Goody Two Shoes is almost impossibly dry, with an ever-so-slightly fruity nose. It pairs excellently with any and all spicy foods. Availability: Goody Two Shoes is available year-round. Pick up a four-pack or case at the taproom, or drink onsite at the outdoor beer garden." - Terrence Doyle

Did a stout and a tripel. Both were excellent. Small little place with a bigger beer garden across the street. The bartender was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome despite it being a bit crowded for a comedy night.

Excellent beer They had hot sauce day, excellent hot sauces Staff as always excellent 👍👍

Great place. Family friendly atmosphere. Variety of beer options

Great brewing company !! Love the beers ! Personal favorite is cats meow and Sunday paper ! There are lot of options ! And nice outdoor sitting ! Do check the weather before going.

SerpAPI
Small but excellent legal-themed brewery with an assortment of drafts. The have a great selection of IPAs which is a huge draw for me. It’s not exactly spacious, but it doesn’t feel too crowded either. The employees are wonderful, welcoming, and willing to explain the menu. They have some snacks but there are food trucks here sometimes too and you’re allowed to bring in your own food. There’s even some board games in the back if you get bored!

Maggie

SerpAPI
Great place to have a beer, live music playing in the brewery depends on when you come. Very cool merchandise for sale as well. They serve pretzels and chips if you're hungry, no other food.

I meant to write this review before now- I love Exhibit "A" and their summer beer garden. They're running it through the fall and there is aways a good food truck. Family friendly: YES. Dogs: Yes. Great beer: Yes. With this 'new norm' I'd recommend you bundle up and come for a polar bear picnic. It's really important to support local right now so don't forget to grab some cans. Cheers! (Photo from the internet. I was having so much fun I forgot to snap a pic. It was very busy when we were there and direct sun.)

SerpAPI
The beer here is spectacular. They have a nice smallish taproom, the old Jack's Abbey. As is the law in Mass, they fill only their own growlers, sell pints and have a nice selection of tall boy cans. Goody Two Shoes Kolsch, Hair Raiser DIPA and Cats a Meow are must try.

Varun M.

Yelp
The Cat's Meow is a beer that everybody would like. Also, I really liked the layout and the fact that books and board games were made available, even if I didn't play them. They made me feel okay about sitting in the corner and playing chess on my phone. Then I got to talking to others.

Luke S.

Yelp
Average brewery. Beers are nothing to shout about but the outside beer garden is fine. Service is simple and easygoing.

Rickey S.

Yelp
While visiting Massachusetts, a group of friends and I wanted to check out some local breweries. Exhibit A is located just off a main road in an unassuming location. They put out an A-frame sign on a nearby corner that assured us we were heading the right direction! The beers here were delicious. Our group had varied tastes and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The large warehouse area was unfortunately closed for a private party most of the time we were there, creating a crowded indoor area. However, the bartenders were prompt and efficient, ensuring no one ever went thirsty. There is no kitchen at Exhibit A, but they have a regular schedule of food trucks in case you get hungry. As we were wrapping up, the warehouse space opened to the public. There were high top tables, a fun band playing, and even a bake sale for a local school! This is definitely a locals spot, as we could tell many people in the bar area knew each other. But they were all friendly to us out of towners and the beer was great!

Tina S.

Yelp
We drove from Rhode Island to visit. We saw they were having Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck for the day. Once here everyone was so nice. Ordering food was easy. They had a band playing when we first got there which made it hard to find a seat. Once the band finished we got a seat quickly. The band finished 10 min after we arrived. Kate who was serving the beer was so nice. She explained all the different beers to us which made it easy to chose our selections. They also serve food on site but we didn't try anything today. My husband and I did share a beer flight. You get to sample 4 beers for $12 which is average price for a flight. The beers we tried were The Cats Meow, Saturday, Educator, and Goody.

Alden C.

Yelp
Exhibit 'A' I feel fortunate in getting a beer from for Steve and myself. It was the Hair Raiser IPA. This was I believe a popular beer for the brewery and it proved to be very enjoyable. There was a nice, dry, hoppy flavor to it and proved to be perfect for the warm day we were enjoying at the time we were having it. I also got a t shirt of the Hair Raiser logo which I find to be fun and will enjoy wearing it to represent the brewery while out on brewery excursions . Lots of other promising beers from the menu that I'd like to try at a later time but this last time we only had the opportunity for just the one!

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Came here after Jack's Abby and while the drink service was great, the food service was not. If you see a taco truck there, be warned. I was the only one who got my food and it was just a taco with coleslaw as the vegetarian option. I'm not rating Exhibit A on that taco truck, just warning you... They have a diverse line up of beers so there is something for everyone, but I wouldn't say that anything that I had was going to be my new favorite.

Gabrielle H.

Yelp
Thus is a fantastic brewery. The beer is great and the people are really friendly. I really liked how they had a covid 19 vaccination both as well as live music. It was a great vibe!

Danielle H.

Yelp
Parking was tight but the place was worth it! Perfect for sitting outside on a nice day.

Liz M.

Yelp
We have been going here for a while I can't believe I've never done a review. It's a great spot. They have added some tables in the brewing area which is great for social distancing which we are all still doing. They have flights which is nice to be able to try different things. I enjoy the porter and my partner liked their ipas. They have snacks and usually a food truck of some sort to keep fed and not get too tipsy. The staff is fabulous. They make recommendations and make sure your never empty. It's a great spot and if you love good beer you need to check it out.

Marty M.

Yelp
Great craft beers! Love the open area with umbrellas and patio lights. Will come here again.

Srinivas S.

Yelp
We have been to this place our friends daughter pre-wedding meet and greet. It's a cool hangout place set in a garage type of atmosphere. I cannot comment beyond about their food or drinks because our friends bought all the catered food from a different place. So, thats an idea for someone who want to host an event at this place.

Erin B.

Yelp
The beer is amazing. However, I felt like I was drinking at my works kitchen and not at a brewery. The place is very small, dim lighting and no music. We were drinking in silence. Not a good place for groups due to the lack of seating. However, I absolutely recommend the beer.

Russell W.

Yelp
Great little brewery located on a small side street loop, barely off of 135/Waverly Street. No, it doesn't have the massive crowd appeal beer garden of JAbby just down the road, but it is certainly worth a visit. Gets you away from the crowds and has that small business flair. That nice feeling that you're a welcome guest, and not just a number. I was there on a Saturday, and it was moderately busy. Very clean all around, staff was very nice, and the beers I tried were all good. (Left with three types, you can buy single cans!). No tours currently, but it's a nice looking place inside and there is a bay window peeking at where the magic happens. There are a few table games available, and typical branded gear with some cool TShirt designs. Conclusion - yea, check it out.

Jimmy M.

Yelp
Excellent brews. Nice place to sit outside and have a few beers with friends after work. Come here for the beer, and don't order any food, unless you plan on being here for a very, very, long time. I came with a group to watch a local performer. I was warned about the slow food, but it was a weekday afternoon, not busy at all, so just I ordered one cheese sticks app. How long can cheese sticks take on a slow day? I waited over an hour. This is how it works; You order at the tent. There are two people working the food tent. You can see the girl cooking the orders one at a time, by herself, while the man taking the orders stands there doing nothing, waiting for the next unlucky customer to come along. The girl is not capable of cooking more than one thing at a time, and the man is not capable anything except standing there and taking orders, distributing pagers(to let you know when your food is ready) and repeating "no, your pager is not broken, your food is still not ready yet" over and over and over again. I was with a group, and we were about to leave. I was about to take a loss and abandon my cheese sticks when the pager finally went off. Everyone in my group laughed at me, because I had been warned not to order food. They graciously waited for me. The cheese sticks were surprisingly delicious. They were spicy and perfectly breaded and fried. But it does not take 90 minutes to fry a few cheese sticks. Exhibit A, seriously, give up on the food thing. You would have much better reviews if you just stuck to beer. If you must, sell bags of pretzels, peanuts or potato chips. You can't handle food cooking. You have tried, and you have failed. Stick to what you do well.

Yelp
I've been coming here since they opened about a year ago and have tried most of their offerings. They initially didn't have any food but now offer some snacks and there is often a food truck parked outside on weekends. The Goody Two Shoes and Cat's Meow while solid beers are not doing anything special. I'd recommend trying the more unique and experimental brews. The Anniversary is very hoppy with a bitter finish. This particular beer does not suit my tastes. Hair Raiser is a decent Double IPA. Notes of grapefruit with a strong finish. Not a game changer, but a solid beer. Swordfish Aged Barleywine is one of the best brews ever offered here. Whiskey undertone, with a smooth malt taste. Sweet caramel finish Briefcase Porter is one of my favorites to get on tap. I find it to be malty with a slightly roasted note. Clean finish. Not too heavy. Imperial Stout aka Sunday Paper is another favorite of mine when available. Slight tingle on the tongue, finishes strong, leaving vodka and coffee notes. The Leitmotif is another favorite of mine. I can't speak for all the variations, but the initial batch was unique and had a refreshing sour tang. After visiting Exhibit A for a year now I can't deny that I am a fan. Not all the beers are winners, but the tried and true brews and experimental mixtapes are worth your business.

Charles J.

Yelp
All in all this is a nice enough brewery to visit. They have added an outdoor beer garden that while it is fairly basic and simple is nice. They made fencing with pallets and have food trucks available. The beer is god (not great) and the service was also average. While I can't speak to the tasting room as it is not open due to covid I can say that everything about my visit to Exhibit A was average.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Beer: my favorite was the kettle sour followed by the Brown Porter. $2 to taste most beers in 4 ounce pours. They are using fantastic hops in their ipas that you don't see everywhere. They had seven beers on tap when I went in December with one out of stock. They sell individual 16 oz cans much in the way of Treehouse brewing, with prices ranging from about $3 to $4.50 a can.

Harry A.

Yelp
Seriously laid back (and off the beaten path) brewery with a strong lineup of beers. The space itself is no frills, but the beers make up for it. Big fan of the Cat's Meow (a real juicy IPA) and all the board games in the bad room (incl. exploding kittens, words against humanity, battleship, and settlers of catan). It's a good place to come with a group and hang out for a few hours. One note, there is limited food at the brewery itself, but a food truck that stations itself just outside. I didn't try either, but the options are somewhat limited if you're hungry.

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
We stopped by Exhibit 'A' upon hearing rave reviews about it from co-workers who live in Boston. They said it was worth the drive, and we now agree! We went in on a Saturday night and luckily found a table in the back that could fit our party of 5. We went up to the counter and ordered a variety of flights and single pours. I ordered two 4oz pours of the Cats Meow (IPA) and HairRaiser (double IPA), both were delicious! There is a variety of seating both in the front store and in the brewery. There was a vendor making paninis (I believe) in the brewery part, but we didn't try. We did wish there were some other food/snack options available though.

Katie J.

Yelp
What a hidden gem Exhibit A Brewing Company is! This small brewery was welcoming, had plenty of seating, and there was literally a double rainbow in the sky when we got out of the car. After a less than stellar experience at the big Framingham brewery, I instantly felt like I was in a place more my speed. As I watched the bartender take care to actually fill my flight (as opposed to the big brewery), I wished so hard I had just come directly there. The Briefcase Porter was a delightful surprise and I hope I'll be able to come back again.

Jill R.

Yelp
My husband and I love going to small /local breweries Good beer selection. Straight up Brewery. No food other than snacks. Food trucks on occasion. I usually hate those sweet or kitchy beers. But, I tried CAKE. Not sweet at all. Pumpkin Ale with a kick. I brought a 4 pack

Ale L.

Yelp
This place does an amazing hazy ipa. Loved the beer. Love the vibe. Fun crowd with good energy. Super nice bar staff.

B C.

Yelp
Beer A+ Staff A+ Space: groovy and clean Music here is eclectic and funky Can't wait for my next pint Demo Tape 4 *****

Deidred A.

Yelp
Exhibit A is a hidden jewel in Metro-west Boston. They offer the second best beer in the state, in a comfortable atmosphere with an incredibly nice staff. The beer is absolutely fantastic: make sure to try the Hair Raiser, Swordfish, and Sunday Paper. They also have lots of events going on and make for a great date spot. Skip the overrated beer and two hour lines at Tree House and go to Exhibit A instead, often.

Dhara S.

Yelp
If you need a clean and safe brewery to go to during these times- exhibit A will not disappoint. Their service is quick, friendly and they're keeping all the regulations in place. Our pimento grilled cheeses were just the right snack with beers. The only complaints I heard from the table were the beers were not cold enough, and it would be nice to have more vegetarian options on the menu. Don't let that hold you back though- their outdoor seating under fairy lights offers a nice, laid back evening. We'll be back :)

Maggie P.

Yelp
Their beer was great (Cat's Meow is just that) but the space wasnt exactly what one would normally look for when visiting a brewery. 3 of us showed up at like 4 on a Thursday. It's a small, quiet (no music to drown out the silence), dimly lit space that is reminiscent of a coffee shop or high-end cocktail lounge rather than a brewery. The bar was fully occupied with gentlemen quietly drinking their beer so we sat at a shared table. At some point another guy joined us at the table and pulled out his laptop. Not that there's anything wrong with a bunch of guys quietly drinking to themselves, it just made our boisterous chatter feel out of place. I felt uncomfortable talking at normal volume so we finished our flights and grabbed some cans to enjoy back at the hotel. 5 stars for their beer but I didn't love the vibe, especially for any group larger than 2.

Jeff D.

Yelp
These guys moved into Jack's Abby's old space, improved it, and started immediately making kick ass beer. Since I'm purposely looking for lower ABV and non IPA beers these days to buck the trend, their Goody Two Shoes Kolsch fits the bill perfectly. A great beer that is crushable and tasty. This is a must stop if you are out in Framingham visiting Jack's Abby and Springdale.

James C.

Yelp
My wife and I LOVED this brewery - the private tour that Matt gave us was really informative and fun. The Kolsch style brew named 'Goody Two Shoes' was very good and the American Pale Ale named 'Demo Tape Three' we tried was also excellent. The location is a little out of the way like many micro breweries, but it is definitely worth a visit!

Nora B.

Yelp
I love these guys- they just get better with time! They are in the old Jack's Abby space but are doing their own thing and making very different beers. Namely, they make amazing IPAs. Their Demo Tape series is a cool way to try all of the pre-launch beers. I've even seen people ordering their beers in Waterbury, VT! Cat's Meow is one of my favorites!

Laura A.

Yelp
I flirted with the dark, coffee-aromatic Porter, but ultimately, the sour stole my heart. I am going to become beer fat given your proximity. The things we do for love!

Martin A.

Yelp
Fantastic beers! It is a small little bar that is very clean. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable and you can watch them brew the beer through the large window. I highly recommend! Matt... is was nice meeting you! Keep up the good work!

Clint A.

Yelp
Very good local beer Very nice atmosphere Excellent staff Music was a little loud for conversation Delicious Mexican food truck

Kim B.

Yelp
This is a smaller craft brew place, it is in the early stages of its development, but this can be a very good thing. Coming here on a Friday, it wasn't crowded, it was relaxing, and it felt like a private Brewery, honestly. The beers are phenomenal, cheap, and the space for you to drink/eat is right in the brewing warehouse. It feels industrial because it is. They set up some food trucks/grill in the brewery area. It's low key, casual, relaxed... and offers great beers and a great place to chillax. I give it 4 stars not 5 because there wasn't really a wow factor. We did like that they gave us different glasses depending on the drink we ordered.

B C.

Yelp
I was excited to hear that another brewery was coming to town, so I had to stop over on my way back form work. I have been in here five of six times. The beers are great, I am a big fan of their flavor and complexity. The only down side is the price. I would say average of $17 per four pack. They also sometimes limit the quantity that you can bring home. (i.e. 2 four packs per person). I have never bought more than one four pack because of the price. I will be back, but limited to pay days (haha).

Mike H.

Yelp
Good local brewery. New England style IPAs are decent, especially The Cat's Meow, but their kolsch and stouts are the standouts. It has a very small taproom, but, in the summer they hold events in the large back parking lot. Staff are really great.

Paul M.

Yelp
It was our first time there, but I became an instant fan of the Cat's Meow IPA. The Danko Rye IPA is a little more malty and is my wife's favorite. The periodic introduction of food trucks is a stroke of genius. Last night it was the Shuck Food Truck, featuring raw oysters on the half shell, as well as a handful of delightful entrees. I had the lobster grilled cheese and my wife had the oyster po' boy. Both were sinfully delicious. After production hours there are a few small tables in the brewery, which projected Mystery Science Theater 3000 on a big screen without sound. Very cool. Add to that the excellent live music of Chris Brokaw, in a room featuring surprisingly good acoustics, and you have the ingredients of a great night.

Margaret S.

Yelp
Great beer, cool vibe, and excellent staff. Verdict - Not guilty! Cat's Meow is my fave NE beer. Will definitely bring out of town visitors here (we are West Coast transplants).

Meagan B.

Yelp
Besides the fact these guys make REALLY yummy beers (across the board) - it's also an incredible place to hang out and/or host an event! I threw my boyfriends surprise 30th bday in the brewery room and it was a total hit. The perfect vibe, great beer, relaxed environment, SUPER helpful/accommodating/fun staff. Everyone was raving about how much of a great time they had. And Kelsey (the event manager) was so amazing to work with! Would highly recommend to anyone - can't wait to go back!

Mike B.

Yelp
Great local brewery. Cat's Meow is an excellent IPA. Food trucks sometimes are there. Call ahead to find out. Fun atmosphere. Recommend!

Amanda M.

Yelp
Great beer and super friendly service! We will definitely visit again. Looking forward to checking out some of the visiting food trucks. And love the idea of yoga/stretchy pant Sunday!

pooks b.

Yelp
Cat's Meow is soooooo good. Juicy, hazy, unfiltered yet light and easy. Take it home. They do food trucks here but they also have chips/salsa in house. The staff is super nice. The space is small but modern. If you have to drive to try Exhibit A, it's worth it. This is a good brew if you love Trillium, Treehouse, Cold Harbor.

Melody R.

Yelp
This company creates parking issues for the other businesses in the area by not providing enough parking spaces to meet the needs of their customers. The parking by this business is now completely full and is leading to issues with trucks being able to turn down the road, which, in turn, is creating issues with traffic, parking and safety. When altered to the issue, management started that they "don't care". I would not give business to a company which treats its neighbors so poorly.

Harry L.

Yelp
Great brewery. Been here many times always with great results. They have one of the best ipas I've ever had called Wandering Thoughts. Have many different events including trivia and live bands. They also have a great selection of food trucks.

Cory J.

Yelp
I came here on a whim. I was blown away by the quality and price of the beer as well as the personality of the staff and atmosphere. I'll definitely be back. Often.

Will L.

Yelp
Really good beer, really informative staff, awesome brewery. I'll be back here a lot.

Chris L.

Yelp
Best beer in Massachusetts and the taproom staff are very friendly thanks for being the best

Matt M.

Yelp
This business knew exactly how to hit the ground running, and the have certainly executed. GREAT beer, and a cool tasting room. Staff is friendly and helpful. Check it out!

Tim N.

Yelp
Expectedly polished beers from one of the state's most proven veterans. Not a huge place but definitely working with what they've got by opening up the production area for events and entertainment. Excited to see what this brand grows in to

Deedsy B.

Yelp
Went there last Friday night with a friend, upon arrival we met Matt (head brewer/co-owner) & he couldn't have been more friendly & offered a private behind the scenes tour. That night they had a 3 piece band & food available, the space itself is really laid back & plenty of tables & seats to just hang out. Now for the beers, simple put "The Best" fantastic variety, well rounded beers. Definitely a must for any beer enthusiast.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Exhibit A is seriously amazing. My boyfriend and I love this place so much! I decided to throw a surprise 30th birthday party for him here, and was able to book their small private area in the back of the brewery. Kelsey was so easy to work with and was very prompt in responding to all of my emails. He also answered my thousands of questions haha. The day of the party, he was there to greet me and help me set up some things. He introduced me to Adam and Meghan, who were both working the bar that night and would be there to help me with anything I needed. They were so amazing! I was able to set up catering I brought in from Chipotle, and put up a few decorations in the room. While I was setting up, they even brought me a beer to enjoy! Adam made sure to check in through out the night and was so friendly and professional. We also had a private tour of the brewery for the whole party, which was really cool. I can't say enough about this place and the people who work here. And obviously, the beer is fantastic. Now I'm trying to think of what event I can plan here next! :)
