Exmo. Hotel

I booked a Charm Room with City View, and the view was indeed beautiful, definitely one of the highlights of the stay. The service was great from beginning to end. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The location is excellent, perfect for exploring Porto on foot, especially around Ribeira and the river area. The hotel is clean and beautifully decorated, with a stylish but cozy atmosphere. There were just a couple of minor issues. The faucet handle in the bathroom was broken — it was functional, but not properly attached. Also, since I visited in February, there was no A/C available. The staff offered a fan or suggested leaving the windows open, but that wasn’t ideal because of outside noise. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and the view combined with the service made it worth it.

The hotel is neat, cozy and in a convenient location. It is right by Douro River, and you can watch nice sunset and walk to the restaurants and bars along the river in less than 2 minutes. The hotel staff are super friendly and made me feel like home. The hotel has cute Christmas decorations during the time of my stay (early December), and the room is clean and well furnished. I love the fact that the bed is high, huge and comfortable, with soft but thick pillows that supported my neck and helped me sleep really well. The bathroom floor has heated tiles so my feet felt nice and warm stepping on it despite the cold weather. I also enjoyed opening the window and watching the busy streets with a cup of hot tea (my room had the city instead of the river view as the river ones were fully booked), which was one of the most memorable moments during my stay in Porto. The hotel breakfast was fantastic! They even had açai juice! They offered a wide selection of foods: yogurt, cheeses, fruits, pastries and bread, and you can order bacon and eggs from the kitchen (btw the scrambled eggs were delicious)! The breakfast wasn’t as lavish as the fancy hotel ones and this is exactly what I liked about, as the right amount of foods and the cleanliness have made me feel the staff have poured in their hearts into every single detail. The hotel almost felt like home to me, I would definitely choose the same hotel if I go to Porto again.

I can't praise this hotel enough, particularly the reception staff. Nuno, Maria, and Martin were incredibly hospitable and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was a pleasant one.||The hotel is very conveniently located and, I thought, reasonably priced for all that it offers. The station is nearby, a bus tour company and yummy brunch cafe flank the entrance--and my room was impeccably clean, with a gorgeous view of the Palacio and cityscape.||Despite being in a lively neighborhood, my room was really quiet (thank you, Nuno, for ensuring that!)|| I also enjoyed the little touches that mean so much, such as a handwritten note of welcome, port wine gratis, and delicious homemade cookies. ||Even my bathroom was noteworthy--quite large, with a curving wall and its own beautiful view.||I am in another city now and in another hotel. It is perfectly fine--but I find myself missing the Exmo already. I felt so cared for/about and pampered there.||I'd return in a heartbeat.

Absolutely fantastic location for our stay. We got a room with a river view and it didn't disappoint. We found a lovely note waiting for us inside the room. The hospitality from staff was so warm and welcoming. We asked for recommendations and they delivered. With luggage and wanting an easy departure, we opted for the 35 euro ride to the airport. The driver showed up in a Mercedes and there were bottled waters waiting for us inside the clean vehicle. The included breakfast was nice and a great way to start off our days. I knocked a star off for the room simply because it was showing signs of wear in the shower. The faucet choice for the sink was too long and impeded washing your face. The bathroom fan was one of those natural air vents and not an actual fan that sucked air out so bathroom activities lingered in the room which was off-putting. Would we stay here next time we're in Porto? Absolutely. This is definitely where we'd stay again. Thank you to the entire team at Exmo for allowing us to have such a memorable trip and stay. The hotel is very well located, the service is very friendly, and the breakfast is excellent. The bathroom door in the room was damaged, and the bathroom needs updating. The bed is very comfortable, but the street side is noisy – you can hear cars and a slight breeze from the window. Coffee, tea, and water are provided in the room.

This hotel was a 10/10 all around. All of the staff were extremely friendly (when checking in, at breakfast each morning, and every time we would be coming or going). The hotel is spotless. The room was super spacious and clean. Everything felt new and fresh (bed was also comfortable and the shower had great shower pressure). As women traveling alone, we felt very safe. The breakfast each morning was exceptional (as was the coffee). Would 100% return to this hotel if we come back to Porto. It was also in the perfect location (close to the river, good restaurants, and all of the sights).

We decided on this hotel following looking at many other hotels n Porto and decided on choosing Hotel Exmo due to the location, and the mininalist interior. Staff cant do enough for you, every single staff member are friendly, helpful always smiling and it has a really cosy amd warm feel. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious and we had a fab view of the square and the palace and is a short walk to the Liverello Lello bookshop, the all of the other famous historical sites Porto has to offer. The breakfast is lovely and perfect to start the day. If you dont like street noise this isnt for you but you can also have a river view at the back if you dont want rpad noise and the Douro river walk is a 2 minute walk. It's perfect for all the lovely bars and resturants along the river. So many to choose from and we can't wait to cone back and stay agaun if they will have us.

Great location in Alfama. Easy walk to sights and as a starting point to explore the streets. Friendly and helpful staff. Outstanding breakfast with made to order items and plenty of variety.
