The 14 Best Restaurants in Pleasanton - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Experience Burma is the kind of place you visit once and immediately crave again. The tea leaf salad is a standout—it’s tangy loaded with crunch. The coconut chicken noodle soup is another favorite, filled with tender chicken in a fragrant broth. There are also plenty of vegetarian options like a fiery tofu with vegetables. Tables are tightly packed, but the servers work quickly, sliding deftly between tables with ease so it feels more fun and lively rather than cramped. Try to avoid prime lunch and dinner times when you’re almost guaranteed a wait." - gabi moskowitz

Loved lunch here. Came with a friend. he had the chilli beef with Burmese fried rice and samosa. I had the curry beef with pickled mango, coconut rice and tea salad. Loved the warm customer service, delicious, affordable food and ambiance. What a find. Came here after visiting the Museum on Main. Will have to return to try more items

First time here last week. Amazing service, very helpful, lots of vegan options, and very accommodating. Couldn't decide between lettuce or cabbage for our tea salad, our server immediately offered to do half and half! Great selection of mixed drinks as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Burmese Ice Milk Tea was made for us with coconut milk, no hassle. This is a strong tea, so lots of caffeine, just a heads up on that. The food came dish by dish as it was prepared, but was all brought quickly to our table. Lovely, interesting decor. Everything was very clean and well maintained. We will do take out in the future and definitely dine in again. Pricing in this review is at the lower range of $30-50 per person before tax and tip based on all of us having shared several dishes, each having one cocktail, and the Burmese tea. We feel it's reasonably priced compared to other similar restaurants and a generous tip was well-deserved. I realized we hadn't taken any pictures until we were well into the entrees, but will do so next time! Sticky mango rice was yummy and just the right ending to a perfect meal.

Google
I very much enjoyed their food and tasty lunch menu options. I opted for the sesame chicken, tea leaf salad and coconut rice. The sesame chicken was quite tasty. It did feel almost like fast food due to it being so fried but it was good nonetheless. The tea leaf salad was quite interesting and fresh, I was surprised at the variety of the ingredients and was pleasantly surprised. As for the coconut rice, I was surprised when it arrived and was white (I expected a light brown color) however, it didn't retract from the very nice texture and flavor. Would recommend

Went here for dinner on a Friday night. We got seated immediately. However there were two LOUD - 12 people each - groups already in the restaurant. We let the server know, he asks what he should do. We ordered a lot of food here. For starters, the Platha and Vegetable Curry Dip, Fried Tofu, Burmese Tempura & their Samosa Soup. For the main course, we ordered their Burmese Mixed Vegetables Curry & Fiery Tofu and Vegetables. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Garlic Noodles & a couple of servings of their Coconut Rice. All their food was just okay. It had a good texture, but not much taste. The Pumpkin dish seemed like it was a warmed up readymade pumpkin puree with veggies. Chicken biryani was the only decent dish in all of the things we ordered. Definitely, not coming back here for seconds.

Google
This is a perfect place for vegans as well as non vegetarians. We often have difficulty identifying restaurants that serve both kinds of food as one of us is vegan and the other pescetarian. The tea leaf salad is refreshingly unique and fulfilling. The catfish curry was delicious too. However the noodles and fried rice tasted like regular Thai food. I know that cuisines are related and the same mix of spices are used but still Burmese is not Thai and food should be prepared authentic. For example only chicken khaw-suey was available and they said they can't make a vegetarian or shrimp khaw-suey. I wish they did. Server William was very good and patient.

Google
Went with our team for lunch. We had a reservation for it. We just loved the food and service. Food was served within 10 min of placing the order. They were all flavorful. We just emptied everything we ordered. Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup & Lemongrass chicken are must try. Deserts were good too. Parking is tricky as there is limited parking in Division street but, there are ample road side parking available around the block. Will surely re-visit this restaurant for the yummy food.

Google
Started off with the Samosas which are always a crowd favorite. They were good as well as the sweet chili sauce which they were paired with. Serviced seemed mainly attentive and had our drinks filled several times over our stay which suprisingly doesnt happen these days anymore. Owner came and checked on our table as well. I ordered the chicken curry while my friend got the lamb kabob. I was very happy with my meal, but i must say that his meal lacked a great deal of flavor, and when it came out, it did not look like your normal kabob plate. Overall im happy and satisfied with my dinner. Its a smaller sized restaurant and I recommend to anyone that is seeking Burmese style cuisine.

Google
I don’t know what I was expecting, but this certainly exceeded my expectations. The fried chicken appetizer was some of the crispiest, most tender chicken wings (flats) I’ve had, and the Tofu and Lamb dish with peppers and basil almost has me ordering a second round. Highly recommend!

Yelp
First time at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Every dish was excellent - we tried only vegetarian options but all were good. And service was truly exceptional! Definitely one for the list

Yelp
Was walking downtown Pleasanton and saw a sign for Burmese food so me and my sister decided to give it a try! We walked into the restaurant and was immediately seated! See below thoughts about the food. Prices were decent and mot outrageous. Overall i would come again to check out more of their menu items! We ordered 3 dishes: Tea leaf salad - tasty, classic burmese dish! You cant go wrong with ordering this dish. Up to par with burma burma and other restaurants. Nan Gyuk Thok - was disappointing, i think egg really neutralized any flavor the noodles had. There was way too much egg! Not sure if that is how the dish traditionally tastes, but we thought it had no flavor. Platha with curry coconut chicken - SO GOOD. We loved this dish and the dipping curry ran circles around the noodle sauce/flavoring in the other dish! We wished the noodles had the same flavoring as this curry!!!!

Yelp
This was a tasty outing overall. While not every dish blew me away, most of the food was enjoyable and flavorful. Here's a breakdown of what we tried: Samusas - Definitely a reorder! The shell was perfectly crisp, and the potato curry filling was well-seasoned and satisfying. Sesame Chicken - A standout dish. I'd return just for this alone--crispy, flavorful, and delicious. Curry Catfish - Unfortunately, this was a miss. The catfish was tough, not boneless (which made it difficult to eat in curry form), and tasted a bit off, like it wasn't very fresh. Disappointing all around. Eggplant in Garlic Sauce - Just okay. Some pieces were surprisingly hard, but the sauce was tasty, and the well-cooked eggplant pieces made it worth considering again. Black Pepper Beef - This one was a hit. The beef was tender, and the seasoning was on point. Coconut Rice & Garlic Noodles - Both were great complements to the entrees and added a nice touch to the meal. Sugar Plathas - I mean, it's fried dough--what's not to love? I'd definitely order this again. Semolina Cake with Mango Ice Cream - The mango ice cream was refreshing and light, but the semolina cake was a letdown--dry and uneven in texture. Service was fantastic. Our server was working solo and somehow managing a packed house--including a table of 12, several other groups, and a few tables outside. Despite the chaos, he stayed calm, friendly, and made a clear effort to provide great service to everyone. Major props to him! The atmosphere was lively--perhaps a little too lively. Most of the noise came from the party of 12, who were carrying on like they were in someone's living room. Not the restaurant's fault, but it did make things a bit loud. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try more dishes--and for sure to get the sesame chicken again!

Yelp
Modern small restaurant that makes it feel warm & welcoming. We decided to have a birthday dinner & try out a few of their dishes. The 3 dishes that stood out were the Tea Leaf Salad, Lemongrass Pork & coconut Chicken Curry. Portions are small so if you're hungry you'll need to order more. Dishes: Tea Leaf Salad- I always start with this salad & it didn't disappointed. All the crunchy components make my mouth happy. Seasoning was perfect. Lemongrass Pork- tender pieces of pork well marinated with fragrant lemongrass made this a memorable dish to re-order. Burmese Chicken Curry w/Potato-not spicy but had a wonderful curry spice flavor. It would be another re-order dish. Burmese Fried Rice-your typical fried rice dish that is simple yet satisfying. Garlic Noodles-a perfectly cooked noodle dish but lacking a little more garlic to make it worthy of its name. Black Peppered Steak-nice big chunks of meat well marinated & seasoned. Burmese Stir Fry Vegetables-a small dish that didn't have any different seasoning than that of Chinese stir fried vegetable dish. Service was efficient & food was average.

Yelp
Really good Burmese food in Pleasanton! I found Experience Burma Restaurant on Yelp when I was looking for restaurants in the area, as I'm not too familiar with the restaurants there. There was a long line for an early St. Patty's Day pub crawl. Despite the crowd, I somehow got lucky and was able to park right in front of the restaurant. When we got inside, we were asked if we had a reservation, which we didn't. At first, we were told they couldn't take us without a reservation, which was odd since there were a lot of empty tables. Fortunately, they checked their reservation system and were able to seat us. We started off with drinks: Burmese iced tea, sprite and Arnold Palmer. Though I'd never tried Burmese iced tea before, I had a feeling I'd like it because milk teas are my go to drink at boba spots. It was great! The mango tofu has the perfect amount of sweetness and wasn't overly spicy. My friends had the chicken lettuce wraps and a chicken dish (don't recall which one). Service was friendly and the restaurant was not noisy. Even though I live too far to be a regular, I would definitely come back in the future. Next time I'd make a reservation on Open Table.

Yelp
Experience Burma is an experience for sure. I love to sit all the way in the back where they have a small nook of some sort. Very cozy and comfortable. I love the Mango Shrimp. The portion is more than enough, especially if you eat appetizers. My go to is the Salt & Pepper Calamari. The coating is crunchy and the inside is flavorful. The sesame chicken is crunchy and the flavor isn't too overpowering. As well as the curry. As a side, the coconut rice is a must. I've tried many things on the menu and everything is more than perfect. They have a good selection of drinks & desserts. My favorites being the Burmese Ice Tea & the Fried Banana and Ice Cream. Everyone is so welcoming and nice. They go above and beyond to make your visit memorable. No reservation needed but can help if the restaurant is busy. They have some outdoor seating as well. Cute location too.

Yelp
I had never had Burmese cuisine before so I was excited to try it here, and I was not disappointed! All the dishes were SO tasty. There were about 7 of us and we went into two groups: vegetarians and non vegetarians. There were lots of vegetarian options for the veggies of our group, so it was easy to go family style. I'd definitely recommend the cabbage tea leaf salad opposed to the lettuce version, but that's my only comment. It wasn't super busy but food took a while to come out- however because we were such a large group, I expected this. Everything was cooked well and we didn't feel rushed to leave. I'd come back!

Yelp
I've had Burmese food before and it's no surprise this restaurant is jam packed. They offer plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian options, which I really appreciated. The decor is lovely and the staff were warm and welcoming. I would definitely get their tea leaf salad as an introduction to Burmese cuisine. It had a nice balance of tanginess, umami, and a hint of bitterness from the tea leaves. It was satisfying and you definitely shouldn't leave without trying their Burmese milk tea. I tried their mixed veggie curry and it was just okay. Texture was bit watered down and the flavor was lacking. If you are here, I'd go for more of their traditional Burmese dishes.

Yelp
This is my first experience with Burmese food and I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the taste and freshness of the food. The tea leaf salad and Burmese eggplant curry were the highlight of our visit! The samosa soup and Partha curry did not disappoint. The service was prompt and the ambience pleasant. Do try the Burmese milk tea if you like south asian tea.

Yelp
First time ever trying Burmese food. I'm usually accustomed to eating Southeast Asian food because my family is from Cambodian, Vietnamese , and Indian Heritage but always wanted to try Burmese food since we don't have any of that in Stockton. Came across this place, in a nice quiet area tucked in between small beautiful streets. Service was okay, server seemed a little tense but maybe it was just the day. Otherwise, the "mohinga" was amazing. It seemed similar to taste like Cambodian "nom ba chock" but instead they used smoked fish and chickpeas! The salad was amazing also. Never knew all those flavors existed! Classy and quaint interior. Seems a little upscale, didn't expect that. I would return again and try other dishes!

Yelp
This used to be my favorite restaurant in Pleasanton. However, today I went for lunch with my coworkers and we were not allowed to order from the lunch menu, because "it's too much work for the kitchen". So we had to order from the dinner menu, and spent more than our budget allowed. It's a week day and we were the only large group in the restaurant (the other table had only 2 people). So if you're planning a group lunch here, just be forewarned that you WON'T be able to order from the lunch menu where you get your own tea leaf salad and entree and rice...

Yelp
We came here on a Thursday night. Seemed slow but at the time it seemed like only one person was working the bar and service. It was quiet and warm they had holiday decorations. The menu had a lot of options and although service for food was quick they did initially give us the wrong order. We got the eggplant which was cooked perfect and had tons of flavor. Not spicy but good flavor would like if there was some spice. We also got the beef tofu which had tons of beef and tofu and veggies cooked perfect again would like if the beef had some heat. The coconut rice is great with very mild coconut flavor but it was delicious. We will def be back to try additional items. We accidentally got a paper beef which I included good flavor also very peppery which I don't mind and the beef was tender but crispy. They have what seems to be a full bar and beer. Will try some of the drinks next time!

Yelp
Visited Experience Burma recently and really enjoyed the meal. I had the Burmese Fried Rice and Mint Chicken--both were absolutely delicious. The service was quick and efficient, which made the whole experience even better. The restaurant's a bit tucked away off the main road, so it's easy to miss--but trust me, it's worth seeking out.

Yelp
Absolutely delightful! One of my go-to's for a convenient lunch with the lunch specials. Love the sesame chicken, coconut rice and samosa combo! Tonight we went with a larger party(9 I think) and got to try a lot more dishes! The staff was very attentive when we needed something or had an issue. Highly recommend for delicious Burmese cuisine!!!!

Yelp
The servers are always friendly and the food is consistently good. I love their cabbage tea leaf salad. If you ask kindly they may bring you extra garlic as well. I put that on everything!

Yelp
In ordered via Door Dash from Experience Burma upon the suggestion of a friend while staying in Pleasanton. I then flew across the country to the East Coast and ate the food over the next few days. If the food can be that good days later across the country, can you imagine how good it is fresh on the premises...? I ordered the Mint Chicken and Chef's Special Crispy Chicken, with the coconut rice. The Crispy Chicken was still crispy and delicious. The sweet and tangy, slightly spicy sauce caramelized so very nicely into crispy goodness coating the chicken chunks. Had I experienced that Crispy Chicken on premises, that would have been even more incredible. The Minty Chicken is a more refined dish. The mint is very subtle with a citrus sweetness, perhaps orange, that accents the flavor. There are roasted whole garlic cloves in there too, lending a sweet nutty flavor as well. There is a soy sauce type of savory umami that, in combination with all the aforementioned, yields a sweet and savory delight with depth that resonate well with your palate. The flavors come together in a unique and sophisticated balanced manner. Had I experienced the Minty Chicken fresh and on premises, the flavors may have been even more distinct and impactful. It must be reiterated I ate this after a red eye back to the East Coast over a few days and it was still great. You can dine with confidence here and perhaps you will say it's better than the four stars I am giving Experience Burma, definitely worthy of your time and reasonable money to experience it.

Yelp
My first Burmese food experience and the food did not disappoint. I had the tea leaf salad and the Burmese vegetables. Latter were simple but flavorful and fresh. And the salad was amazingly tasty with the tea leaves and all the crunch. The place was clean, fast and so courteous. Also liked the super clean decor with the writings on the wall.

Jim W.

Yelp
very quick and good service. my lunch special was very tasty, a bit spicy but really good. I started with the tea leaf salad (included) excellent with lettuce, pine nuts, flower-seeds, dressed with a tasty tea leaf dressing. I had the Lemongrass Pork dish, red bell pepper, green bean, in fish sauce mix, very good. I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Prasad D.

Yelp
Service was fast. May be we were there around closing time so not much busy. It is big restaurant but tables are very close so it may noisy if restaurant is full. Food was good. Though it is Burma, many dishes has indian, Thai, Chinese cuisine touch , but still it was good. Portion wise decent size , prices are gone up. But still like to visit there once in a while in future. We saw they gave some complementary dessert for someone's birthday. It was a nice gesture. I will recommend to try out.
google avatar

Dave D.

Yelp
The place is cute and clean. The service is excellent, efficient and friendly. The food is actually really good. The tea leaf salad and chicken kebat were great. The biriyani was good (but the huge chicken quarter was a bit overwhelming). Especially for Pleasanton, this is very good.
google avatar

S L.

Yelp
Good service, good food, good atmosphere, good price. Enough said. Must try the tea leaf salad, pork stew, mango chicken, and coconut rice. Tea leaf salad here is way better than the same dish at Kayah, by Burma Love at the Chase Center. Great for both lunch and dinner. Hidden gem in Pleasanton downtown.
google avatar

Joyce T.

Yelp
Burma food is like a knockoff version of Thai food. We had the lunch combination and add $3 to replace rice with plata (roti). We thought there's a curry sauce come together for dipping but no. It's kind of dry to eat plata without any dipping. So, we asked for the curry sauce for dipping, it's the worst dipping sauce I've ever had for plata. We had the Burmese style ice milk tea, it's so lack of flavor and noway compared to the Thai milk tea. The only good part of our meals were the lemon grass pork and salmon and the tea leaf salad
google avatar

Sydney J.

Yelp
I was interested in trying them since they have a good amount of vegetarian options and offered a lunch combo. I ordered ahead for pickup via phone for a lemongrass tofu with tea leaf salad and samusa (you can pay $1.50 more to swap out rice for either the salad or samusa). They said it would be ready in 5 minutes, I didn't arrive until closer to 20 minutes later and all the parking spots nearby were taken. Although there were some issues with the phone signal and call breaking up when I had ordered in, when I got there, the order was correct on my receipt on the outside of the bag, so I paid and left since I assumed it was fine. However, when I actually opened up the containers, I found that what was supposed to be lemongrass tofu was actually a chicken dish. It also didn't really taste like lemongrass, it mostly tasted spicy. I also hadn't been expecting them to give only one samusa for the option of having samusa as one of the two sides for the lunch combo. I was underwhelmed by the amount of food relative to the price as well. However, I did think the amount of tea leaf salad was generous since they filled up a paper takeout box with it, and the tea leaf salad was yummy, not bitter but well seasoned and I liked how many sunflower seeds they put in it. (Unfortunately it did contain peanuts, I had forgotten to ask for no peanuts since the ingredients for the tea leaf salad are not listed out on the lunch combo menu picture that I had been looking at beforehand) Though the food itself was decent overall, I took off 2 stars due to the order being wrong and small portion.
google avatar

Henny S.

Yelp
Loved the Burmese Phad Thai but the waitress keeps forgetting what we asked for and had to repeat several times. The mango salad can use more mango (hardly any so it does not taste mango). Most Burmese restaurants I've been serves plain all mango salad and their sauce .

Yelp
Always a delightful meal Went with a group of girlfriends & closed the restaurant down at 2:30pm. Great food & exceptional service. Never felt rush. Everyone had an enjoyable time. Went to Meadowlark for our yummy desserts.

Mimi S.

Yelp
Every dish we had was very good. Interior decoration was cute and I liked the ambiance. Service was great too. Ordered Tea Leaf Salad (half lettuce and half cabbage), Fiery Tofu, Lamb dish and black pepper shrimp. All very fresh and well seasoned. Definitely coming back and recommending it to all my friends

Yelp
5 stars for the food & service!! ordered a catering tray of Nan Gyi Thok (coconut chicken & rice noodles) and everyone loved it! finished the whole tray within minutes and auntie who helped us out was absolutely delightful. 111% recommend checking this place out for your catering needs and a sit down meal.
google avatar

Markus Y.

Yelp
Would suggest their tea salad with cabbage (great textures! Very crunchy, if a tad oily, and very much reminds me of bamboo shoots, a good thing), the coconut rice (needs something salty, sweet and mild but the center did get a bit mushy), and the pepper beef (mushroomy, good amount of beef). The pork curry is a bit underwhelming (too sweet and the noodles are a bit mushy. Good amount of green onion with five or six cuts of sweet red meat). Good and friendly service (server mixed the salad for us. Thanks!)

Joanne A.

Yelp
Normally the food is great, last time I went there is was bad, and the waiter didn't speak English and really didn't want to do his job. Probably won't be going back

Yelp
Party of three - husband, wife and husband's mom. We were a bit skeptical about trying Burmese food, but EXTREMELY PLEASED that we went here tonight ! Met two of the waiters - a young man in college from Burma and a young Salvadoran man. WOW, what an experience it was. The place was a bit slow, so we got to spend LOTS OF TIME talking with both of them. The Burmese waiter told me that he has tried lots ofo Burmese cuisine and that this was as authentic as it got. We tried all sorts of things and were not disapointed at all! The Platha & Coconut Chicken Curry dip was wonderful - smooth and mild tasting curry. The Tea Leaf Salad with Lettuce was a very interesting combination of flavors and I even had seconds (I never eat salad). We also had the Burmese Style Pad Thai, Coconut Rice, Burmese Pork Curry with Potatoes, as well as Mango Chicken. Very large portions and we walked out full, satified and with several boxes of food for leftovers. We will be going back !

Yelp
I had ordered through doordash here few times & food was ok. This was 1st bad experience. Coconut noodle soup was bad & sour (both smell & taste). Nan Gyi Thok was ok.
google avatar

Jazlene T.

Yelp
Dinner on a Friday night turned out perfectly. We ordered a lot but everything was really good, with some leftovers to take home. The tea leaf salad was a fan favorite. Mango chicken and the noodles were a great pairing. My favorite drink was the lavender martini! Our servers were attentive despite how busy it was throughout the night, they always checked on how we were doing. Burmese iced tea was yummy. I would definitely come again. The atom sphere is cozy. As we first arrived, it was practically empty. You can tell the customers are familiar faces that have stayed in touch with employees over quite some time.

Yelp
Despite the numerous positive reviews, I was disappointed with Burma's service and food. The service was off the moment we stepped in. No attention paid to seating guests in a timely manner; no menus given until asked; and took more than 40mins to fulfill 2 orders which were simple and straightforward. I did not like how this restaurant operated. The food was also disappointing. We ordered the samosas for starter and the Burmese pad-thai and Beef Stew for the mains. Neither mains were pleasing so the samosa was actually the star of the trio. The beef stew lacked depth and flavor complexity, so much that I had to ask for hot sauce to actually taste the food. For a restaurant of this caliber, the samosa should NOT be the highlight of the meal. I am left disappointed and underwhelmed by the quality of the food and the service at this restaurant, so unfortunately I hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

Yelp
Cozy restaurant, friendly service, and decent dishes. The tea leaf salad is the winner - fresh ingredients and tasty.

Yelp
Great food and good service. Definitely recommend this place when in pleasonton and craving for some good burmese food

Izabela L.

Yelp
Delicious food, lots of vegan/vegetarian options. Friendly staff and filling portions. Good quality food. Will be back!

Olga L.

Yelp
Made a reservation on their online system only to be turned away once at the restaurant! On Mothers Day no less!! Also without even getting an apology for their "f" up even though I had taken a pic of my confirmed reservation! Will likely never try to Experience Burma here again !!
google avatar

Yelp
I haven't been here in years! Since before Covid. I gotta say, I love that the owner remembered me and I love their tea leaf salad. They still mix it in front of you and the flavor is right on! The cocktails options are lovely. I ordered the Red Lotus. It smells and tastes so delicious. This is what we ordered for dinner: Samusas - nice curry flavor. Arrives hot so wait a bit. Tea Leaf Salad - perfection! Love this salad. Burmese Style Beef Curry - Great flavor! I love this over rice. Some chunks were tender, some were not. Nan Gyi Thok Noodles - I love the flavor of these noodles but wish the noodles were more firm. They were a bit mushy. But great flavor! Would love to return and try more dishes, dessert, and cocktails.

Yelp
We love the food!! We ordered samusas, eggplant dish, fried chicken, mango salad and coconut rice. They were all flavorful and delicious. BE also had good customer service.

Yelp
There was a DoorDash delivery special for this place so I decided to give this place a try for delivery and it did not disappoint. I ordered the cabbage tea leaf salad which was nicely packaged and delicious. The lamb kebat with a side of coconut rice was sooo good. The ride by itself is a little too sweet but off setting it with the perfect spiciness level of the kebat was perfect. I also had the cake like dessert with mango ice cream. nice play on the warm and cold and I appreciated that it was not too sweet.

Yelp
EB continues to be a favorite restaurant for us. Fresh, delicious food and a congenial staff. Try it!

Yelp
The food was ok and service was really bad and not at all kid friendly. We had to ask for kids paper glass cup, spoon and fork. There is no perfect communication for wait time too. First we were asked to wait 40 min and then next second they could accommodate us. Our to go box was thrown away just right after we stepped out at least wait for 5 min some guest can come back to collect.

Yelp
I have been to this place a few times, so decided to have my friends try a new cuisine for them with me. ~Lamb Curry: Not too spicy. We could not finish amongst the three of us, so I took it home. I ate it with rice. ~Tea Leaf Salad: We were able to get this with lettuce and cabbage. Highly recommend that combo instead of just one or the other. ~Shrimp Pad Thai: I honestly was not a huge fan of this dish. ~Coconut Chicken and Paratha: best starter hands down DRINKS ~Red Lotus ~Lavender Martini Both super pretty drinks but the lavender martini was better by a smidge.

Yelp
Our office had lunch catered through ezCater. The samusas were so good! Stuffed with lots of curried potatoes and the crispy wrapper held up for hours! (They also reheated amazingly well in the air fryer.) The sauce was perfect: tangy and sweet with some heat! Loved how the tea leaf salad came with all the crispy fixings packaged separately so they could be tossed in when we were ready to eat. Fresh and delicious! Everyone raved about the garlic and chili shrimp. Flavorful! Lots of onions in the mix! The lemongrass chicken was moist, but just ok. The coconut rice is a must-get! Sweet and fluffy: very coconut-y. Yum!

Yelp
Got takeout from here the other night, excellent array of vegetarian options and the staff was acoomodating. Got the shan noodles (a little spicy, excellent flavors), wok fried noodles (very yummy), the burmese pad thai (the noodles felt a bit undercooked and was a little sweeter than I expected). Overall, an excellent takeout experience and will return.

Yelp
So first time having Burmese food and I thought it was great. We started with the tea and rice salad it was delicious and different than anything I've ever had, it seemed like every bite tasted different. I also had the minted pork it was tasty but it was very similar to other Asian dishes I've had. I showed up at 7 pm on a Saturday so it took them a while to get me menu's and a drink. Their craft cocktails were disappointing they renamed classic cocktails like old fashioned but they were pretty bland. I would go back for the food everything else was okay not great

Yelp
It's been 3 years since our first visit to Experience Burma Restaurant. We found it by accident then and happened to chance upon it again. We are visiting from SoCal and checking out the local food sceneThe restaurant is located around the corner so look for their sidewalk sign on the corner of Main & Division. Street parking is available wherever you can find it. We met with the owner, Myat, and had a lovely conversation about her restaurant and Burmese cuisine. We ordered tea leaf salad (of course) and we trying to decide between the mango or ginger salad. We asked Myat which of the two salads is her favorite and she said she loves them both too. We ordered the mango salad and asked her to add ginger to get the best of both ... and it turned out to be the best salad ever!! We told her THIS should be on the menu. :-) AND we were in the mood for simple okra stir fry because we saw beautiful okra at the farmer's market that morning. No problem, Myat had her chef stir fry some fresh okra and it was great. We also teased that she should add stir fried okra on her menu. We mentioned a lack of Burmese restaurants in SoCal and that we've tried them all, even the new one in San Diego. We dropped Rowland Heights as a potential location for her to expand to (fingers crossed :-) Great Food! Great Owner! We support local businesses. Try them today.

Yelp
Food was delicious. I had ordered the veggie curry. It tasted authentic, and home made. Perfect w/ my brown rice. Service was just as good too. Very kind, and friendly staff. They were very attentive. Ambiance was nice as well. We sat outside, and they accommodated for our big party. Perfect weather facing the sidewalk. It was a perfect day for it. Keep up the great service Experience Burma. I'll be back when I'm in town.
