From the chairs, to the wall decor, to the light fixtures, to the velvet jackets, to the bathroom wallpaper, this place has built an instagram worthy ambiance. Unfortunately, the aesthetic was truly the highlight of the meal (and there are levels to even that if you're not in VIP seating).
Outside of the water, which stayed full at the rate of a fine dining restaurant (I mean, never a sip missing), our server was not attentive and the service, overall, lacked much to be desired. Restaurant was also cold. The prices, however, are every bit of fine dining, which is what elevates the disappointment. Ultimately, it felt like the place had a bit of an "identity crisis".
One example, the menu is a bit eclectic but doesn't really have something for "everyone", a miss, in my opinion. No edits or substitutions is the declaration but I don't believe this was clearly indicated. Someone in my group tried to create a vegetarian option from the shrimp fried rice, this was approved by the manager (nice!) but then came out with hidden shrimp... not a huge deal unless, of course, there has been an allergy. Cocktail menu was robust, can only speak to the mocktails, but for $13 the Lucky Chase was anything but Lucky.
Large prices, poor portions, tastes lacking much to be desired...so why the three stars? I have to do right by the Shrimp Garlic noodles, while the price to portion held true the taste did its thing, 'Twas YUMMMM. If for any reason I was only eating that I needed some great backdrops for TikTok or instagram, and I had a need to stay hydrated, it might be worth the stop. Otherwise, this place needs a bit more time to work on the food portion of the dining before getting my recommend.
