A fantastic experience that will be remembered as one of the best trips taken. Explora is absolutely first class all the way. The room is modern and clean. The guides were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. Location on Lake Pehoe is beautiful with views of the mountains. This is not an easy place to tour because it is a little remote and not so tourist friendly but the Explora experience was simply most memorable , and enjoyable.

This all-inclusive facility is just great. Outstanding - location, site, lodge, staff, food and activities / explorations. The lodge is sited against a lake and river with views of the impressive and rugged mountains. The lodge is an architectural gem. Loved the hikes and horseback riding. |Glacier Grey hike starts with a ride across Largo Pehoe on the Explora catamaran, nearly 8 mile hike and finally another boat ride on Largo Grey for an up close look of three faces of the glacier.|A full day activity to the Quincho area for a hike, barbecue lunch and horseback ride was yet another highlight. |The staff are friendly and helpful.|There were so many WOW moments!

The staff was superb. The food was incredible. The accommodations were perfect. I can’t say enough about the experience. The hikes range from moderate difficulty to significant difficulty but the guides are exceptional and make sure you have a safe and memorable experience.

What can I say about this place other than it is nothing short of amazing. It is a fully inclusive (albeit expensive) experience that includes your stay, daily organized expeditions of your choosing, and dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Its location has stunning views of the mountains and is situated next to a small waterfall. All of the staff and guides were incredibly welcoming and friendly and ensured our stay was comfortable at every moment. I can rave about it forever, so I'll just stop here. One specific thing that I will address in this review is the food... Other reviews complain that it is not up to the mark, but I would argue that southern Chile is generally not big on spices and expecting international flavors is a big ask in a place so remote. Our experience was that everything was prepared freshly, tasty, and very nicely plated for presentation.

The area is spectacular, the view from the hotel about the most beautiful I've ever seen. We stayed first at the Explora El Chalten then used the hotel transport van to go to Torres del Paine, which was great as Patagonia is huge and hard to get around. [Note: 25% discount on 2nd Explora lodge visit on same trip.] The staff is excellent, professional and friendly, and guides are top-notch. The hotel is comfortable w/ lots of places to sit, store well-stocked w/ cold weather gear, food and wines excellent, and I love that once you get there, everything's included. Hotel is comfortable but not super luxurious (good bed, wonderful linens, but rooms small-ish) and not the least pretentious...I loved it but it's not for everyone. |My one criticism is there are not enough lower-paced activities; I'm in pretty good shape, but 5'2" and not young; since husband is 6' and great hiker, I'd expected to spend more time at the spa & pool, but it's 127 steps down the hill so not easy to pop down, tho you can request a van to pick you up so at least you don't have to climb back up post-massage or swim.

The views from the hotel are incomparable! The hikes are easily reached and accompanied by great guides ! The Spa is quite a walk from the hotel , but the Sauna , dips in the ice cold lake and jacuzzis are wonderful! The hotel is unfortunately a bit dated , the bathrooms small and the food not always inspiring. The Lamb Asado at the Cincho was fantastic. If you are a serious hiker , don’t think twice !

My dream trip. Truly one of the most beautiful hotels and travel experiences. Delicious meals, insightful tour guides and the best hikes and tours. The guides and team have such a passion for their work. The hotel is well designed and love that everything is included and thought of.

An incredible experience. The location, the place, the excursions, the wildlife, and of course, how could I forget the staff—absolutely a 10 out of 10. As for the hotel, the setting is unbeatable, with some of the best views you can have on the planet. The food left me speechless; everything was outstanding, with not a single complaint. The hotel staff is exceptional—attentive at all times, ensuring nothing is missing. As for the guides during the excursions, they were fantastic—well-informed, experts in their field, and made the experience even more enjoyable and enriching. Without a doubt, I can't wait to return.
