Explora Valle Sagrado

Everything about our stay at Explora was beyond fantastic. My wife and I could not think of one thing we would change. Everything from the room, to all the service we received, the food, the surroundings was wonderful. But the most outstanding of all were the explorations each day. Every one was planned to perfection, incredibly enjoyable, and inspiring. AND the guides we had for each trip were beyond fantastic: knowledgeable, personable, enthusiastic and fun to be with!! Even all the drivers for the vans were wonderful. My wife and I had one of the best trips we've ever had. Everyone went out of there way to make sure we were having the best time possible. Thank you all so much for the great service you are providing to people who otherwise would not have these engaging and incredible experiences. Oh, and yes, Machu Picchu was so well planned out and a perfect day, from the transportation to the guide ( he took us where most people don't go), to the dinner, the train ride. All amazing!!

My husband and I visited Explora Sacred Valley a couple weeks ago, and this was seriously our dream vacation. From the moment we pulled up to the driveway, we felt at home. The warmth and caring nature of every staff member at Explora is really what defined our stay - they genuinely care that you get exactly the trip you're hoping for, experience Peruvian culture, and they also make every effort to know you as an individual. Every little touch was so thoughtfully attended to, for example fresh juices and snacks and cheese set up by the driver at the end of a long hike, or our guide learning from our previous day's guide that my husband's knee was hurting, so specially packing ice for him. Every evening meeting with our guide was so thorough, helping us feel confident and excited for our next day's adventure. It was incredible to be able to pick whichever experience we wanted - from biking to Inca ruins to any all-day hike we preferred, and Explora would do the rest. ||The guides are phenomenal - so funny, knowledgeable, and passionate about nature, culture, and history. We learned they go through 3 months of rigorous training, and it shows. We felt like friends with all of them by the end.||The hotel property is also unbelievably beautiful - the yoga room, restaurant with spectacular views, and the coziness of the rooms. I wish we could have stayed another week there!! We love Explora and can't wait to visit the other locations.

The experience with Explora in the Sacred Valley of Peru is amazing! The attention and enthusiasm of the people who work there is incredible! The quality of the food is unparalleled! Our accommodations were fantastic and the daily excursions were incredible! Staying there was truly a beautiful experience! Please go!! It is gorgeous and soul satisfying!

Incredible experience. We went for our honeymoon and could not recommend enough. It is the perfect balance of active exploration and luxurious relaxation. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to have one of a kind hiking experiences and then indulge in awesome cuisine, drinks, and spa.

My husband and I spent several nights here as part of our honeymoon and we can't recommend it enough! Everything was seamless, from the airport pickup to scheduling hikes and a spa day. The food was incredible - even the lunches they pack for your hike were delicious! The staff was so accommodating and thoughtful, our guide during every hike was also so informative and fun to hang out with. The setting is beautiful and makes for some really fun exploring. We can't wait to visit other Exploras!

My husband and I stayed at the Explora in Sacred Valley for five nights in April. It could not have been more wonderful. We did a different hike each day and spent one day in Machu Picchu. The staff is outstanding. The guides were knowledgeable, fun to be with and very caring. We hiked with Desire, Chio and JJ…each had a different style and we loved being with each of them. The dining staff was also wonderful as were the drivers. Explora seems to think of your every need from a waterproof pack filled with a few necessities for the hikes, snacks to add to your backpacks before each hike and filling you in on what to wear and bring when you arrange your hike the night before. I had a small medical issue and the reception desk could not have been more kind and caring (thank you, Alessandra). The setting is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable and the food is delicious. We are sadly leaving this special spot and have plans to go on another Explora vacation very soon.

Explora embodies a perfect combination of hospitality and trekking experience. The modern architecture of this resort combines elegance with the unique atmosphere of the Sacred Valley. The warm hospitality of the staff, the expertise of all the guides and the delightful epicurean experience make this resort an excellent destination. We’ve been to 2 other Explora locations and we have been amazed at how consistent this experience has been.

Explora curated the perfect trip for us. Once you get on-site everything is taken care of for you. The food is delicious. The people are friendly and go above and beyond to make your trip perfect. The explorations are educational. We would never have learned as much as we did about the history and culture of the Sacred Valley if we had tried to do this on our own.
